STAY CLEAR!!! I paid to ship a birthing tub from Massachusetts to my home in Iowa. It was delivered on July6, 2017. The packaging was clearly torn and the side was damaged/cracked. A leaking tub is of no use! I had purchased the shipping insurance and was told it would cover anything that might happen during shipping. They refuse to repair the damage and will not even return my calls. The shipping agent, Calvin, did the best he could to resolve this issue. It is Freightquote and their insurance carrier, Roanoke, which refuse to honor the insurance policy, after I sent all the documentation requested. Please beware!!

I am now having to file a law suite against Carol Lin, The company, the import broker and trucking company for my losses. They will not even allow me to file a claim for the loss, so we have to sue. They are also dishonest advising us to lie about value and contents of shipment, or I would not receive it. I would not lie, it passed customs anyway so they now say their trucker absconded with it ( this is what they say happen). I have this info recorded and have turn over to our attorney. The are cooked and dishonest. This is the very last email Carol lin sent to me. They have cut off all communications. "Dear Brian, Sorry for the late reply, because we are still checking the trucker for your air shipment, please see the below for the latest status & we will keep you post. Thank you! From Freightquote "Hey Carol, So I just got off the phone with Russ at Dallas dispatch. Unfortunately, he confirmed to me that the freight is missing. In addition, the driver never assigned a PRO number to the load, so there is no way of tracking it. He told me they are running dock checks at this time, and he is to give me a call with further updates. Our logistics team here at Freightquote has been informed of this issue as well, so we have plenty of eyes on this situation. The minute that I receive a further update, I will notify you first thing. Thanks, NICK DEBRODIE" Account Executive

They quoted one price for shipping, damaged the new property during delivery, the delivered it 2 weeks late. They are now trying to extort an extra $286 over their own quoted price and charged my credit card on file without permission. They need to be investigated for fraudulent practices and put out of business so further consumers are not hurt. I wish I would have read the consistently horrific reviews for Freightquote online prior to using them so I could have avoided the heartache.

This is a positive review for Freightquote.com located at 901 West Carondelet Drive, Kansas City, MO 64114. We have an Ebay store and occasionally need to ship a large item by freight. Freightquote arranged a pickup of our 700 pound crate on a Friday. The shipment was not picked up and we were very distressed. The truck company sent an email to Freightquote at 6:40pm Friday of “Our agent just notified us they do not have a liftgate for pickup available in this area, we will not be able to pick this shipment up.” This of course was after hours for Freightquote and so too late to solve the problem. However, first thing Monday morning Derek Wiles, Senior Freight Broker and his team at Freightquote, began working on a solution. He was on the phone with us at each stage of the arrangement to keep us informed of their progress. They worked on our shipment all day until a freight company was found that could visit our slightly out of the way location. Mr. Wiles also went the extra mile and called the freight company to verbally confirm the pickup. Then Mr. Wiles even went a greater step and called our buyer who would receive the shipment he had purchased to apologize for the delay and to ensure him that the shipment was being arranged. I have the highest recommendation for Freightquote with Mr. Wiles and his team. It's almost 15 days and my customer hasn't received package. I called freightquote, they transferred my call back and forth there's nobody can answer my questions, and they even want me call shipping company directly. If so why I used this website to book delivery and now I need to contact shipping company by myself?! Btw don't use Central Transport either!

They quoted a price using the exact dimensions and weight we provided to them and then sent an Invoice with the following verbiage - WITHOUT THE WEIGHT OR SIZE OF THE SHIPMENT CHANGING FROM THE QUOTE:

Terrible choice of freight transfer, they overcharged us $160 because we didn't have a dock, but we did have a dock, they relied on google maps to look at facility and they kept claiming our facility was Public Storage next door, there are many other freight companies to get quotes from I would suggest you use them instead of these people, names are Zachary & Jodi

I have used this company in the past and had a horrible customer service experience. I then tried again years later thinking maybe they have improved their service but I was sorely mistaken. I am not new to shipping and currently spend 7 figures in shipping every year via Ocean, LTL, truckload and some rail. I point is I understand shipping enough and coupled with my common sense have a fair idea on what service level I should get. I unfortunately used a consolidator for my shipment via Freightquote which quoted me 7-8 business days from midwest to west coast. Now I find out the day it should be delivered that its still in Chicago waiting for a lane.

Now I am told maybe it might be shipped by the 20th of this month which is now 18 days after being picked up. Now I understand that the shipping time is NOT guaranteed but I feel that Freightquote should at least put a disclaimer on all consolidators that the quoted time is really not realistic and may be up to a year. That's right, my rep Sam Warhol told me technically they can deliver my item a year later.

Well that is just great, so that is further reason to actually put on that shipper quote that they have up to a year to deliver since they are a freight consolidator. My inept rep. Sam then proceeds to argue with me that I should know better, and that it's all in their 5K word terms and conditions at the bottom of their site. Well that technically is true, I also believe that companies knowing this is an issue should highlight that in the quote section that your deliver can take up to a year. They won't do that though as it would render that vendor useless and more than likely no one would use them. They are sure to highlight the insurance value limit and try to upsell you insurance (cause they make money on this) so why they can't put a simply pop up next to the consolidators quote that simply says hey this eta is a loose estimated time and may take up to a year for delivery. Hell I would have accepted a simple 30 days for delivery and that would have been enough for me to choose another carrier. Mind you I am not talking about 2,3 or even 7 days late- I am talking hopefully getting my shipment 15-20 days after the quoted time frame.

Stay as far away from this company and this rep Sam Warhol as possible. To not heed my warning is to invite russian roulette to your delivery or items.

Freight quote brokered a deal for me on shipping product from California to Washington the freight was destroyed by Road Runner ...

subsequently freight quotes only response was our hands are tied

The real test of the company is when something goes wrong what can they do to rectify???

Freight quote.com has done nothing to support my filed claim now over 90 days with no response

SCAM 1;They charged $75 for limited access to an industrial park.
100's of 18 wheelers come and go/day.
Never ever happened w another companies in the last 800+ shipments.
SCAM 2;Then they charged me $75 "liftgate" fee for unloading 2 pallets which I unloaded myself with my own forklift.
SCAM 3; In the dispute emails the original quote changed from $320 to $470 with no explanation AFTER delivery.
My card was charged for $620 instead the $320.Your bank won't be able to help in similar case.
Neverending phonecalls.They blame the subcontractor subcontractor blames Freightquote.com.
You'll lose time money and probably some of your merchandise as well.
LOSS 3;Use custom made printed shrink foil to make sure they don't touch your shipment.

I contacted Freight Quote to haul steel out of Minnesota for me and the original online quote was for about 3K of tube steel, during the quote process we added plate to the order which increased our weight to 20k. I expressed to them to quote this added material and to quote as a full truck load and received a quote of $1200.00. Now mind you I had a company truck 42K the day before from the same location and got it for $825.00. With that said I was ok with the price do to short notice, then I get a call from some farmer that was sent to pick up my load and he states he can only haul 14K. Why the hell would I pay top dollar to haul 3K of tube steel. Not happy with Freight Quote & will never do business with then again! Stay Away!
