Helping Hands Home Care

We have been using Helping Hands for 18 months to help with care of my 94 year old father who has dementia. Without exception, the staff are all caring and considerate. The office support is also excellent, ensuring that we are kept informed about any potential changes. With the current Coronavirus situation, we have been updated regularly and also reassured. We would have no hesitation in recommending Helping Hands to potential customers.

After 16 months of service from Helping Hands, we have been well pleased with the support we have received, and it would be true to say that without the help of some very capable and caring people, we would have found life difficult if not impossible to sustain. It has been a reliable and flexible programme of help which has served us very well.

We needed to find a live-in carer for Mum so we could bring her home from her nursing home and from the word go Helping Hands were so supportive. At first we felt overwhelmed by the process but they helped us navigate the system and were very efficient and organised. Special thanks to lovely Wendy (our live-in care manager) who was (and still is) always available to give advice and answer our questions and to all the carers at local branch Swansea who provide extra support when it is needed during the day and are always warm, kind and timely.Thank you to the whole team at Helping Hands for everything you are doing to help us look after Mum at home, we are so grateful to you all.

Helping Hands is the best experience I have had since my wife died two years ago (27th April 2018).
Already, in my short experience, I have had to compliment you on providing me with Vicki. Yesterday she was mentoring/tutoring Tilly, who is the only person I know who left the bath cleaner when she got out of it than when she went in ! You have another asset on your Helping Hands.

Firstly I would like to start with a big huge thank you to everyone at Helping Hands Brentwood, each member of head office down to every carer that has helped my nan since her return from hospital has been nothing short of amazing.
Since my nan has been at home, her mobility has deteriorated and really has been our worry but all the girls (Sarah, Ann, Pauline, Sophie to name a few) have helped my nan no end. They go above and beyond to ensure my nan is kept warm, clean and in safe comfortable environment at all times. They are there solely for my nans wellbeing but they always ensure my grandad is looked after to the same standard as my nan which we will be eternally grateful for.
They regularly update us as family with any concerns regarding them both and have been there when we can’t and they are so quick reacting to any situation that arises, to name a few; when my nan had a fall, Samantha who’s first day of work and first patient was my nan walked in to find her, called an ambulance and stayed with her (extra time than she was allocated) and comforted her till they arrived and was so kind and caring to her.
My nan had another fall and the girls sprang into action and called ambulances and got her the medical attention she needed each time.
This leads me on to the office staff. Gemma, Sarah and Maria have been in constant contact, reassuring us every step of the way, extending care packages, helping me with paper work, organising a sit to stand chair which will now ensure my nan can get in and out of chairs, beds etc safely all whilst keeping my nan safe and secure. They also go above and beyond to ensure my nan is thoroughly looked after, and are always at the end of the phone if we ever have any questions.
I would advise if anyone is looking for a care plan for some one vulnerable they love to choose Helping Hands because they are the carers that really do care, they are so selfless and genuine and they all work so hard and long to keep this level of amazing going and without them and all their help I really wouldn’t like to think what life would be like for my nan.

So pleased I contacted Helping Hands to help care for my mum who has recently been diagnosed with Dementia.

Their excellent care has enabled me (daughter/carer) to step back and have more quality time with mum.

I have relied on Helping Hands for homecare for both my mother-in-law (Enfield) and my grandmother (Gloucester). They are the most caring and supportive company you could hope for. Helping Hands has now come to our assistance twice in the last three years, in 2018 when both my wife and I had been in hospital and most recently when my wife was on end-of-life care and for some weeks after her death.
In neither case would I have been able to cope without the intervention of Helping Hands. All the carers we have had contact with have been excellent and have carried out all kinds of domestic tasks efficiently. Their input has, however, gone far beyond that. During the period of lockdown they have provided invaluable social contact and have shown a genuine interest in helping me through a very difficult couple of months. The system has been flexible and allowed me to increase or decrease the number of visits in line with my changing needs. Based on my experience I would recommend Helping Hands without reservation to anyone finding themselves needing some extra help for whatever reason.

We have used HH for almost a year now since Mum was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and needed assistance with medication and essential everyday tasks.
We have found them to be professional, reliable and supportive of Mums changing needs.
Jas and the team at Wolverhampton branch have been extremely helpful, communication is excellent, any concerns have been addressed immediately and on the very rare occasion that a carer is running late we have been notified. Mum has built up a rapport with her "ladies" as she call them and looks forward to their visits each day.
