The equity release adviser I saw Steve Bortoft was absolutely brilliant. He was was very friendly,whilst remaining professional. I found him to be very objective, explaining the possible pitfalls, as well as the benefits!! The whole process took very little time and I am more than happy to be able to sort out my finances through Key!, Recommend to anyone!!

Four years ago my partner and I decided to take out a lifetime mortgage, we looked into many companies and eventually decided on Key Retirement. Micheal Lockley was our adviser and from the time of meeting him he has been kind and considerate and patient throughout our four year journey. He has always been at the other side of the phone when needed, we cannot speak more highly of him helping us through this every important decision and making our retirement more comfortable.

Stage 1: Just got off the phone with Craig. Excellent adviser and lovely person. He was very thorough making sure I understood all the ramifications, good and bad, and he was able to clear up a few specifics that helped me make the decisions I needed to. Now I just wait a few days and he will provide me with the documentation to review. Highly professional and relatable guy, will come back and update after next stage.

Absolutely brilliant from the first meeting with David Cole to the meeting with the solicitor everything went like clockwork and I feel that if we had any concerns we could contact David Cole anytime - excellent service and would recommend key retirement to anyone

No pressure from start to finish, pros and cons fully explained with a friendly and efficient process, a year on we have had contact throughout the year.

The advice I got from the Key representative( Mr Johnes) was very good and covered all aspects of equity release, including the legal position. It was all made very simple and was completed in about six weeks, with very little inconvenience to myself.

Considering this was done during coved 19,all went very well we found the advisors very helpful and independent...first class

First advisor said he would get someone to call me next day but I explained my wife is working from home and would be busy with which was told no problem.
2nd advisor called next day and explained about the draw down scheme and adhoc lifetime mortgage scheme,which I understood but was bombarded with questions about how much money required and what it was for.
I explained we were not sure at this stage,but he kept insisting I tell him which scheme I prefer so he can tick the box!would not let up and I kept interrupting my wife's work to ask and as she said they should not be pressurising
Us for a decision.
In the end the advisor said I will tick yes to draw down scheme and I said I was not sure and he should not have been suggesting this as a financial company.
In the end the advisor thought I did not understand about the different scheme but I did and said "well 99% of my clients understand but not you".
I told him how rude he was and hung up the phone.
I did call back and speak with his manager and she did apologise for his behaviour and failed a complaint through the company and I am waiting for a reply.
