Worst experience! The boat was way beyond the expected condition. Everything was dirty and the AC didn’t work. Realized too late that the battery didn’t work either, all our food for the one week trip went to the trash. Spent the worst night without AC or electricity. Next day after they “fixed it” (AC still didn’t work) the boat thrust stopped working. We asked for a refund but it turns out it’s our fault because two days was not enough for them to fix their boat and they expected us to spent another with small kids without AC. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone

This was our second time using Le Boat and it was great once again. All of the staff from booking the boat to the staff at the docks are all very nice and helpful.

It was my fifth time with Leboat, it was a very good experience once again, but this wasn't my best. I would have like our leaving base to tell us more about the nice things to see. Compared to Le Canal du Midi and England, this Burgandy tour should require more advices on where to visit. The Soane isn't a great river to follow, too big and commercial, nothing to see there. They should tell us which side rivers to take in order to see better places.
Leaving the base, the boat didn't have propane in the tank, the shower drains were plugged and I had to go under the sink and remove and clean the filters. Luckily I have a sailboat at home and know these things. The base was Branges.

O barco Vision 4 é muito confortável e acomoda bem 8 pessoas. Não o indico para 9 pessoas, pois dormir no sofá da sala/cozinha pode ter alguns inconvenientes. No caso do barco que alugamos (SL12), um problema na vedação da janela frontal vazia entrar muita água quando chovia. A goteira era justamente onde o nono passageiro dormiria.
O barco apresentou problemas técnicos que nos fizeram perder 1 dia e 1/2 de viagem e nos deixaram inseguros em relação à manutenção do mesmo.

This is the second Le Boat trip we have done, the first was along with Mediterranean, which had no locks. The locks on the Garonne Canal were easy to navigate. The boat was perfect for two couples, separate quarters at each end of the boat and two heads. The towns were small but picturesque and fun. We had an absolutely fabulous meal at Auberge du Goujon qui Fretilli near the mooring in Buzet. Don't miss it. Get reservations.

We did the side trip on the Garonne River which was well worthwhile.

Le Boat staff was friendly and very helpful.

Sit back and relax and enjoy.

The only problem we had was that our boat check out agent (Matheau) left a switch in the wrong position so the air conditioner wouldn't work - we spent a very uncomfortable first night and had to return to base to fix the problem.

Smith Falls to Kingston is an interesting itinerary. The Canada staff is very helpful. The Canada boats are new and have some bugs to work out. In our experience, the boats need air conditioning.

Seven days down the Shannon river. Very nice boat. Everything worked as it should. The shower was great, bigger that the BnBs we stayed in earlier.

The base manager (Bob) at Port Cassafieres deserves 5 stars. He and his staff (Shantell, Jennifer, Carla & Thomas) are the best representatives LeBoat has. They were helpful, friendly & very accommodating. The staff at St. Gilles were also nice and helpful. We can't say much good about the other bases.
Laurie Hudson-Craig of the booking office in Canada was very nice and helpful also and instrumental in booking a fine trip.

We rented a Cirrus B for two weeks. Plenty roomy for the two of us, both of us could be working on a meal at the same time. The boat was in excellent shape for it's age. Having a door to the bow and one at the stern made easy access forward and aft for handling dock lines at the locks.
The staff was more than helpful, the check in person arranged for a taxi for us from the train station when we called in a panic, us not speaking any french and finding no one in Sarrebourg who spoke english. We also had a glitch with the heating system and the mechanic promptly fixed it so we could get on our way.

The boats could be in MUCH better condition, i.e. there should be no safety risks, and there were two on this boat (throttle cable close to separating, hot battery cord almost ready to chafe through). Additionally, if we had been with you in the hot months, the lack of a working main cabin air conditioner would have made the experience miserable. As it was, we had a great time, but because we are familiar with the workings of boats like these, we were very concerned about your maintenance processes.

La actitud en general es buena pero la experiencia general no ha sido muy buena ya que hemos tenidos varios problemas con el barco lo que resta mucho de la experiencia.
el río que navegamos, estuvo muy bien y con un clima extraordinario, lo que compenso un poco las molestias con el barco.

My bed was wet for 7 nights as the window leaked above it. The boat was pretty worn out - the upholstery, the door knob fell off the forward cabin door. The 110 plugs came clear out of the wall, when you unplugged from them.

We had no mop or broom on the boat for the 7 days - had to sweep floor by hand with small hand broom. We had no tea towels in the kitchen. The boat wasn’t very clean when we got on board.

We were overcharged for gas at Trebes and I am still waiting for my $60 refund. Le Boat says they can’t cut a check in US dollars - what? You have my credit card - just refund to my credit card. Why can’t Trebes staff look in your system and see what I paid for gas in Narbonne - so they don’t overcharge?

I was looking for a late summer get-away for our family of 4 [16- and 20-year old kids]. I had come across LeBoat in a magazine and it looked interesting. Our expectations were exceeded every step of the way. The size of boat we wanted initially wasn't available so I called to see what could be done. Not only did they get the boat that we wanted, they threw in early departure. Check-in could not have gone more smoothly. We were greeted in a friendly manner and felt very welcomed. Once we got to the boat, Sterling could not have been more helpful. Within an hour, he had gone over the whole boat, given excellent advice on what to do and where to do, reviewed the charts that we would need to plan each day's travel, and shown us how to drive the boat - we had very limited boat experience. He even fielded a call later that evening when we weren't close enough to the power plug - our LeBoat neighbors [from Norway!] came to the rescue and offered to let us use theirs.

Everything was excellent, from the materials available on the Le Boat website to to customer service at Smith's Falls to the boat itself. A truly outstanding experience that allows you to pick your own pace as you go along.

The Horizon 4 is a very comfortable boat for six to 8 people. It is built to "just-fit" the French canals. Base personnel could not have been more helpful.

We rented an Elegance in Belgium from Rick - the REAL muscles from Brussels! Rick had fantastic advice and tips - listen to him! (He'll help you set up an awesome trip / agenda) The boat had one small issue fixed within 3 hours of the call - Voila! Get the bikes- you won't regret it. I would go back again right now if I could, fantastic.
