I ordered two lighters on February 7 and received nothing until I called 3 days in a row March 27-29. Finally received shipping confirmation on March 29th. Cannot comment on quality of product but the communication and handling of my order was the worst customer service experience of my life.

Firstly, they have everything on their website as stocked, you purchase your product and then you'll get an e-mail 2 days later stating that your item is out of stock. So all the best chasing them up via e-mail for a refund, because you'll end up sending e-mail after e-mail without them resolving anything. As for me, I've had to escalate a claim through PayPal and now am waiting for my refund, they should have just refunded me immediately when the item was out of stock. This has been a horrible experience. In my opinion, look elsewhere when looking to get cigar accessory products or similar.

I am a keen cigarsmoker from Finland. I started to find (globally) good lighters and
i found finally this Lightersdirect.com. I ordered my first
lighters from Lightersdirect.com about 6 years ago. Their prices
are ok and the selection is very comprehensive. Anyway i started
to buy suitable lighters to all kind of cigarformats and soon i started to collect lighters (mainly torchlighters). Now i have
a collection over hundred different lighters, cutters etc! 90-95% of my collection i have bought from LD.com.
I think that tell`s something from the tradefilosofy of Lightersdirect.com.

I ordered a product from them a while back and everything went fine as expected, tell a friend of mine about the company and to order online and it didnt go well for him. So after he attempted to order the product twice with no success he asked me to order it for him with rush delivery. So when I tried to order the product with expedited shipping which was done late on a Sunday night everything seemed fine, the order went threw. Well on Wednesday I received a email that I didnt select a shipping option. After what took place with my friend I insisted they fix there mistake by sending the product asap for free. But like all **** companies they feel its my fault so they refused to do anything to retain me as a customer. Insisting I made a error until I pointed out one simple fact, why did the website allow me to purchase a item with no shipping information? A online company should have a decent enough website to not allow you to purchase a product without all the necessary information entered. After I pointed that out to the customer service person emailing me well all communication stopped which again is very typical of a **** company. So I am denying the transaction on my credit card and then my friend who ordered the product twice online never received any confirmation or product, But when he looked at his credit card they charged him for it both times. Well when he called lighters direct after he found out they charged him both times and they said they never received his payment, to make a longer story short he had to deny the transaction from his credit card to receive his money back and so did I. Will never use them again

i ordered a lighter with 2 day shipping delivery that i upgraded because of the urgency. This was on a Monday.
On Tuesday i noticed that i didn't get any confirmation so i called, to my surprise they were out of stock of the product i had selected so they were gonna send it to me the next time that was on stock, which was 4 days after i put my order in.
The only reason i found out is because i called. lighters Direct had no intention of letting me know i wasn't gonna get my product on time. When i spoke to the representative, he didn't honor my 2 day shipping and shipped it in one day shipping instead as a whole day had gone by. Instead they offered me to choose another product which i did, and they sent me that product to arrive 2 days after the call.
When out of stock you have to show it on your website.
when someone orders something that you forgot to take out of the website because you were out of stock you have to let the customer know.
when a customer orders something for 2 day shipping and it is your incompetence the reason for the delay, the customer should be refunded or compensated with a 1 day shipping.

Ordered a cigar cutter for $24 + $7 shipping. Product arrived broken, exchanged a couple of emails including having to send a picture of the broken product. Then had to send the item back, signature receipt ($15) and still no word on replacement. What's the need for a picture of the broken product if it has to be sent back anyway? Avoid Lightersdirect.com - stick with Amazon.
