Absolutely zero customer service. they are still sending out bills to me even though they stopped being my provider months ago. never read the meter- even when asked to do so- make random estimates. Don't think I will ever get them off my back.

Avoid green star at all costs. They are incompetent and seem to be unable to carry out simple tasks, constantly passing the buck and delaying the issue. The lines on their call centres are very poor and the operators are unable to deal with anything they haven’t learned the “script” for. E mailing isn’t much better.I have been struggling to receive valid compensation from them since December2019. Their website login doesn’t let me log in, so I can’t check my bills etc. They also increase monthly payments too frequently in my opinion. I will be switching.

This is by far the worst company I ever had to deal with. They will not respond to complaints. I switched to another energy company 18 months ago due to their poor service. They're still holding onto a credit balance. They have changed the amount on the system several times so it is impossible to know exactly how much they owe me. . They are useless liars and thrives. At some point the regulator must shut them down. They cannot be allowed to continue ripping off customers. I have got the energy ombudsmen involved

DO NOT USE Green star energy as your supplier. Customer service terrible. Have been hung up on multiple times. Bills and communication regarding under or over payments even worse. They’ll let you get into debt before telling you you should switch your monthly payments. Left company and paid final sum they requested (despite multiple conversations about incorrect final balance). 2 weeks later revived letter from law firm demanding repayment (again this had been paid already and even received confirmation email from green star saying our balance was now £0.00) Money grabbing Worst energy supplier

I was with Greenstar 3 years ago and they were fine whilst I was with them, however when I was moving house I gave them my final readings and tried to close the account. It took 6 months and a lot of stress to get them to close the account and give me my refund. I had to take legal action in the end. I got an email of apology and thought it was all over...3 years later I'm receiving harassing emails and phone calls again, saying I owe them money. Somehow they have reopened my account and are threating me again! Please do not go with this company, the stress they have and are causing me is unbelievable. I am left again having to take legal action, when it was them who owed me money.

Can’t give them a zero Got a smart meter fitted last year and they were totally unable to get it to work despite many many emails between us and a barrowload of false promises official complaints Decided to leave them in may and transferred to another company termination of service on 3/6/20 it’s promise of final bill by 6 weeks still not done now saying it will take another 4-6 weeks then they will still probably have the cheek to charge me for leaving A totally incompetent company with no ethics or honesty do not entertain for your energy needs Robert Baillie

I've never had any supply Green Star, but their debt collection agencies still chase me routinely for sums due. I write every six months with all the evidence of energy contracts with other suppliers and they do not reply and still the legal letters and nuisance texts keep coming - if that is what it is like without an account, God knows what it must be like to have them as your supplier!

Avoid at all. Costs the standard of customer care is zero nil nothing, they talk to you like s...... Freezing on their shoe, they have just put me on hold without saying a word. Absolutely awful company to deal with avoid at all costs

Can't give them zero stars unfortunately! I inherited this company when I moved into a house 2.5 years ago. Despite being given final readings from my new (wonderful supplier OVO), they massively over-estimated my final bill based on the 5 adults that used to live in the house versus me and my 6 year old daughter. 2.5 years on they have STILL not provided me with a final bill. I have have been through about 6 debt recovery companies, each one has passed it back to them requesting a corrected bill to be sent only to be chased by a new company a few months later. Its been so stressful!!! HATE this company so much.

Worst company I've ever been with. Never want to help. Got no electric on as I have to top up at the post office and all the locals are closed and told me on the phone I cannot speak with you. Hate hate this company. Forever having trouble. Hope you close down. Shithe company. And over priced

Ripp off..Ripp off..Stay Away from Green Star Energy. How has this fraudulent company got away with not takin*meter reading correct *. At first Green Star Energy set your bill as low amount then instead of increasing DD, they double your bill. Then your bill doesn’t go down Ever. They Manipulate the meter reading and the figures. Then they triple your bill. They make up there own figures and prices and they only have one big estimate. Which is Called Daylight Robbery. Customers want justice of how Green Star Energy. Sucks all there money away. Never go with Green Star Energy.

Really there should be No Stars whatsoever. They supplied our energy for nearly 3 years and estimated I need to pay nearly £200 a month for gas and electricity in a two person household - about 3 times what it normally is. I tried maybe 40 or 50 times to get them to test my metre and check what was going on. By phone an email. Both times I eventually spoke to someone it must have been a call centre who said someone would call back but no-one did. Not a single email reply. I eventually left them (more than two years ago) and a year after they left they claimed I owed them £690. Since they ignored me ALL the time I was a customer and I regarded what I had paid as far too muchfor nearly 3 years I decided to ignore them. A few threatening letters later I agreed a payment to settle the account with, I assume, their debt collector and demanded written communication to confirm this. This was over a year ago. Now just received a threatening letter to both take legal action against me and to report me to the credit agencies. And now I cannot even get them to respond to a phone number on the letter. This really is THE WORST customer service experience in my lifetime.

Green star energy have illegally took over my 97 yr olds dual fuel plan and because he didn't understand what was happening they are sending threats of recovery firms chasing the alleged debt... SHAME ON YOU GREEN STAR this man is 97 and is very frightened about the threats you are sending

They even don't deserve any star, Very poor services, absolutely rubbish, I was using this company for more than a year, so when I saw a reasonable deal online, I made a request to switched over, surprisingly they canceled my transfer over to new supplier, then I went to energy ombudsman with my evidence, after three months long battle they released me with NOC. Now I'm agreed to settle the payment, they sent me four different figures in the last three months £700, £166, £313, and now £818. All on an email asking me to pay, no bill, just an email. Now they are finally threatening me by serving legal notice for not paying. No idea on how to deal with this customer.

I would love to give zero but it won’t let me, I’ve tried phoning, emails (plenty) but nobody seems to work at this place as it’s impossible to contact them, they will quickly take your money, even though they made big mistakes with mine, If possible please stay well clear of this amateur bunch, probably worth paying a little extra for someone with decent contact service as this crowd are the worst I have encountered, even gave me some direct email to contact, which I did (twice) and still waiting to hear back

I got lumped onto their 'standard' tarrif as I moved into a property where the previous tenants used this company. Their standard tariff is just so unbelievably expensive. 2.5x per day more expensive than the company I have since moved to, on the same property. Their customer services approach since has been zero common sense too. Is a terrible way to run a company, trapping people like that.

I had to get the ombudsman involved and a full investigation was carried out into my bills that they were trying to claim was for usage from 2015, in the end the ombudsman saw in my favour as I had kept all evidence, green star ended up having to credit me £2,795 and I ended up in credit of £645 which I have asked to be credited to my bank account and I am moving over to EON, I WILL NEVER GO WITH GREEN STAR AGAIN

For 3 years on a Dual Fuel Fixed Term Contract with Fixed Gas Unit Rate and Fixed Electric Unit Rate and Fixed Standard Charges with Green Star Energy. I had no problems until I announced I would be leaving them at the end of the 3 year term. I asked them to provide me with a final bill which I quickly paid in full. Next I was sent an incorrect bill. I soon noticed they had worked out the new revised bill using incorrect Gas Unit Rates and incorrect Electricity Rates based on my Welcome pack three years before. Immediately, I contacted Customer Services to let them know of the errors the company had made. At this stage in proceedings I read the reviews on Trustpilot and decided to record all my future phone calls with them. (Highly recommended) It was at this point, at my request, they sent me a corrected bill. My delight was short lived after I noticed the Gas and Electricity Rates were now correct BUT both Standard Charges used were far higher than on the original Fixed Term Contract Welcome Pack. These new figures had been back dated for the entire 3 year contract. Once again I contacted Customer Services to make a Formal Complaint regarding the incorrect Revised Final Bill. I was transferred to a dedicated Complaint Handler who initially agreed that the Standard Charges shown on the bill were wrong. After talking to her Supervisor I was told the Standard Charges were correct. Obviously I didn’t agree so I informed them I was going to the Energy Ombudsman with my complaint. Green Star Energy began sending me emails that threatened me, if I didn’t pay the incorrect bill, they would be notifying bailiffs to recover the money. For 8 weeks I had to endure the threatening emails to give the company a chance to sort out my Formal Complaint. At the end of 8 weeks the company had not sorted out my complaint so I contacted the Energy Ombudsman. I sent them a copy of the Original Welcome Pack which included all the agreed Fixed Term Energy Rates and Standard Charges. I included all the sound files of my telephone conversations. Eventually the Case was found in my favour and the company was ordered to remove the incorrect second final bill and pay me compensation. The company were given six weeks to fulfill the demands. 3 days before the end of the 6 week period I had to contact the Ombudsman to report the compensation had not been paid. They immediately chased up the missing compensation and I am pleased to say the whole Case was finally closed. During this whole procedure Green Star Energy lied to me and knowingly used incorrect figures on my final bills. After having no problems for 3 years with my Fixed Term Energy Contract, the way I was treated by the company was appalling. My advice would be to avoid Green Star Energy until they begin to get excellent reviews from genuine customers showing they have changed their devious behaviour. You have been warned
