Had my cooker a little over a year and still going strong. I had to replace the hook remover due to my 9 year old pitching in the burning coals

I have had the Pit Barrel for two years now. I have cooked ribs, whole chickens as well as wings, and tri-tip with outstanding success. The Pit Barrel has totally replaced my Weber Smokey Mountian.

A Pit Barrel Cooker is likely the easiest smoker to get great results that I have ever used.

I had to enter my address 3 times because it was deleted when I logged in and when I updated my credit card information. I did this on an iPad. However I am very happy with Pit Barrel Cooker!

The Pit Barrel Cooker is one of the easiest ways to cook, and everything I've tried has come out amazing and juicy. The rubs are also fantastic. I knew I'd love it, but my wife loves it just as much and is constantly asking what I'm going to make next.

I bought my Pit Barrel a couple of years ago and I am the talk of the town for the best ribs and brisket my friends and family have ever tasted. Whether its ribs, brisket, pulled pork, or chicken, they always come out amazing and far better than any BBQ place in the area. It's an amazing product and the rubs are awesome. Highly recommend!

I love the Pit Barrell Cooker. I just wish the Kingsford charcoal was available in the UK for an affordable price. I would like to see more videos and recipes for things on it with different flavors too.

I am a returning customer and very happy PBC owner. I am excited that Noah continues to improve the cooker and offer accessories that will help maximize the cooks. I look forward to trying out my new items and always pick up some all purpose rub with my order. Keep up the great work! Thanks.

I have always enjoyed the aroma of someone smoking meat but felt intimidated by what I thought the process would be. My brother showed me his Pitbarrel cooker and how nifty and simple the set up was. I ordered one for a combination birthday, Mother's Day, anniversary gift and for a year now our family has enjoyed delicious smoked meals! I am still learning and experimentlng. I just ordered the turkey hanger and am excited to brine and smoke my first turkey. I hear Thanksgiving may never be the same!

Great cooker and so easy to cook on. I love the hooks and the evenest of the food while cooking. I have already talked very highly of the cooker to my friends and family.

I love BBQ, but until recently had never made it myself. As a New England native, I didn't grow up eating at BBQ joints, but moved to Atlanta a few years out of college and began my love affair. Early this summer my wife bought me the PBC for my birthday and I've been trying to improve my skills ever since. About half of my cooks so far have been amazing - just following the PBC videos. Those two were chicken and chicken&ribs. Chicken came out great both times. Like others have mentioned, the breast meat was a tiny bit dry and the skin wasn't crispy, but that's just splitting straws. The other half of my cooks weren't so great, but mostly due to user-error. The first rack of ribs I did were burnt to a crisp; about 1/2 way through the cook things seemed to be taking too long so I open up the vent and cracked the lid. When I did the "bend test" at 3.5hrs they were stiff (probably already burnt) and when I finally took them off at 4 hrs they were ready for the trash can. The next weekend I precisely followed the instructions and used a thermometer to check the ribs through out the cook and they turned out amazing! My most recent cook was corned beef and because it was a smaller cut of meat I used about 1/2 the normal amount of coals. Well using less coals - and possible not letting my charcoal starter burn long enough when I started the PBC made for a really slow cook. A 3.5 lb corned beef was on for 4 hours and only got to 160 degrees. I foiled it and finished it up in the oven. It tasted okay, but was pretty dry.

So, the bottom line is if you go exactly by the instructions and use a full basket of coals for each cook you'll probably turn out some pretty decent BBQ. But I don't recommend going against the grain and modifying your own cooks until you master the steps that PBC lays out for you.

The only real complaint I have is the fact that the ash pan is sold as an accessory. This should be included as part of the cooker. Everyone needs to dump ashes and no one wants to have to flip over the barrel to dump them. The cooker isn't exactly light or small and turning it over as a giant cloud of ash plumes up in your face while it coats the entire inside of the smoker with dust certainly is practical and is really messy. Maybe there's a technique to dumping the ashes? I may be missing something, but the ash pan seems like a necessity to the design, not an accessory. Other than that, it's a great product!
