I purchased a QNAP TS-809-RB 12TB unit from SimplyNAS on 4/14/2011. I was in need of a highly reliable unit that would be used in a hospital. I also needed a very quick turnaround. SimplyNAS had a number of units available for configuration and quick shipment. Abbas provided me with invaluable advice during the selection process and then went the extra mile to see that device was tested and configured so that we could have staff just put it into the rack and flip the power switch. The equipment arrived as scheduled and we were able to start using the NAS immediately. This was truly a life saver. SimplyNAS provided me with professional and knowledgeable service that was outstanding. I would recommend this vendor to anyone who is purchasing a NAS.

Last January I started to shop around for a NAS. The guys at SimplyNAS (both in their corporate office and the local one) were very knowledgeable and friendly. My new Synology DS1511+ was up to date right out of the box (I purchased the setup and testing). I'll definitely buy from them again if I need another NAS!

Can't comment on shipping as I picked it up from them.

Their sales help were very influential in my purchase of the NAS over replacing large external hard drives to back up my 40 yrs of photography. I explained to him that I was not a technical expert when it came to computers and just needed a simple method to protect the images. He assured me that NAS system was the only way to go. It was very easy to operate and if there was any confusion there was a helpful group of their technical support people to help me through any problems. The setup was not easy at all and their technical support walked me through some things on how to get started, but could only allow me 1/2 hour of their time to do it in. I left the call thinking I would be in good shape to get started, but the very first thing he told me to do to get files transferred did not work. I tried contacting him back to no avail. I then had to submit a new help ticket to get him to answer me which he did but only by e-mail. He then answered the exact opposite of the question I asked him. He eventually told me how to transfer some files very slow way and when I did that it only allowed me to transfer 7 files of the thousands I had to move. He then did not answer any more e-mails. Calling the sales people only got me an e-mail to call the manufacturer or Simply NAS would answer my questions for via screenshare for $85.00 per hour. It seems they were very happy to make the sale up front with all sorts of assurances, but when it came down to helping their customer they want no part of it unless you are an IT professional. Horrible experience!

I have just seen the reply from Simply NAS regarding my review and would like to comment that I asked to speak to the salesperson that was so eager to take my business and was refused. If someone was thinking of purchasing from them, I am sure this tells you something about the company. I can tell you once the purchase is made you are on your own. I was influenced by the positive reports I see on this ratings site when I was doing my purchase, but can only assume after this horrible experience that I am going through that many of these are seeded. I went from a feeling of confidence in my plan to protect my work to one of the worst experiences with equipment I have ever encountered in my 40 years as a professional. If the company had the slightest bit of integrity, they would have handled this much differently and I could have been up and running a long time ago.

We purchased a Synology DS1817+ with 4TB HGST drives and worked flawlessly for about 3 weeks then had problem - tried to get help from Synology and after 4 days they could not work out what to do and asked for us to go back to our reseller - Simplynas resolved the problem within a day. We were relieved people are pleasant and efficient. We would recommend to buy from them.

I am a small business owner in the engineering services industry so backups are important. So is customer service because when there is a problem with my NAS device, I need the ability to resolve the issue quickly and move on. This usually means talking to a customer service person in the USA who speaks English. SimplyNAS has this while many others do not. They are also very knowledgeable in NAS products. The price was competitive as well. The choice was easy. I would highly recommend them.

Bought a Synology DS1812 populated with 18TB of disk space. Having read reviews of such technology suffering early childhood failures, I decided it was worth it to have Synology configure, burn-in, and test the device.

The DS1812 has worked perfectly since its arrival. I couldn't be happier.

I ordered a Netgear ReadyNAS Pro 4, diskless. It within 2 day, and well packaged. The price was competitive with all the other venders. After installing the HD's the system started up flawlessly, and has worked perfectly.I am very satisfied with the buying experience and would highly recommend them.

Was shopping around for a NAS, located one very reasonably priced from their site with very good details and free shipping. Upon further examination found they had a newer model for only a little more with some excellent features and STILL the cheapest on the web. Ordered and received the item quickly and it has been working flawlessly.

I ordered a NAS and they did not have the default drives in stock, so they contacted me within hours and recommended a change to some drives that were in stock (and significantly cheaper with the same specs!). The NAS arrived quickly. I am very happy with their service.

I already had hard drives and was trying to decide which NAS to purchase. The SimplyNAS site made it easy to compare models and determine which was best for me. Their price was by far the lowest I could find on the internet. The unit arrived exactly as described, and there have been no problems with it. I highly recommend SimplyNAS.

We have bought two N5200XXX NS with 5 3TB WD Red drives. Both units have been rock solid, and are currently backing up VM servers over iSCSI at great speeds!

SimplyNAS website is easy to use and understand.
We will use them again!

During a point when it was difficult to find both the NAS and drives from a single vendor SimplyNAS was able to provide me with an assembled combination of the hard drives and NAS I wanted cheaper then sourcing out seperate vendors for the individual pieces. I was also enouraged with their burn in testing (NASBIT) which tested the entire configuration at their site to make sure the NAS unit and all assembled drives were all functioning, and greatly reduce the possibility of a DOA product. They were very communicative, and responsive to my requests. I was able to easily reach them via phone to check the status of my order and make changes. Overall I will check here first the next time I need another NAS.

I ordered a TVS-1271U-RP-i3-8G with 10 6TB HDD and 2 1TB SSD for caching. Overall it was a good experience. My only complaint (and its minor) is the drives were configured for a different raid setting than I asked for and was told I would get. This involved 1 minute of configuration and about 1 day of waiting while the machine rejiggered itself. In the long run, I guess that was good since it forced me to learn more about how to use the machine.

I plan to order another unit from them.

I've now purchased two devices from SimplyNAS. Both have been great. The web site is very well set up to compare products. The status updates as the product goes through setup, testing, and shipping are great. They may not be the cheapest in the world but they are very solid. I highly recommend them.

Yesterday, we purchased 2 Synology RS815+ 12TB (3 X 4TB) 4-Bay NAS Integrated with HGST Ultrastar (Enterprise) at a reasonable price. Yes, it was the cheapest price we've seen but not by that much. Come to find out today we received a refund email saying our order was cancelled. NO notice. No explanation; just a refund. When we responded asking why a refund was given since no Cancellation on our part was performed we got, " There was a price error hence we cancelled it, E&OE it happens to all of us even the best of us. Sorry for the hassle it caused obviously not intentional". Obviously not that obvious! When we pushed back we got, "We did make it clear it was a mistake – and I am sure you noticed it was a mistake as you can’t by for that price, can you anywhere else?.

We have clearly informed you as to what happened, and for us to continue to pursue a solution that is totally unrealistic will tantamount to emails being exchanged that are not conducive to being beneficial to either of us.

So, as previously stated we made a genuine mistake which was correctly immediately during working hours and that really is what it is.

You will not hear form us reading this matter any further."

So, aside from your horrible customer service and people skills, this company is extremely careless with providing accurate information to this website. Basically, you write whatever price you want and if someone calls you out on it you don't honor the price. I worked in retail for 3 years and no matter how much profit we lost on a product, if it was miss-priced you had to honor it. I work with websites for my career and have been on the opposite side of this argument. Wrong prices went on my website and we had to take the loss and honor the price. I haven't really heard much about this company before my boyfriend told me about it, so I can't imagine it's doing that great that it can turn away customers and refuse to talk to them and fix their mistake they (as as company) made. They clearly need more revenue to be able to hire a Social Media Coordinator or at the very least a Web Developer who can accuratrly market this "business". POOR BUSINESS SKILLS!!! Lost two customers and I highly urge others to reconsider before their new purchase.

I ordered an upgraded QNAP TS-869 Pro with 32TB of storage after shopping around. Everything went smoothly and I was impressed by their email updates on my order, how fast it was prepared/shipped, and the NAS I received was perfect and ready to plug in and use when I received it. I highly recommend SimplyNAS and will buy from them again in the future!

I've ordered and received three Synology NAS units from SimplyNAS. Very good experience all around. Good product knowledge and good service. Not the absolute lowest price out there but close enough considering the inclusive drive install and testing. Happy to recommend SimplyNAS.

I placed order after talking to the owner on the phone, I was ordering a Synology NAS RS3617 and he validated he had it.
I asked him to ship same day and he said no issue just put a note in the special notes field so I did so.
I should have received this by Thursday or today and nothing, I went on to track to find he canceled the order without notifying me via Phone/Email/TXT. I am very disappointed and now have to plan to purchase elsewhere.
Don't order from here as you won't get your product, at $2500 plus HORRIBLE customer service

QNAP TS-469 Pro 8TB (4 x 2000GB) 4 Bay NAS

What a wonderful experience dealing with this company! I have been shopping online for a very long time (since before the web in the early '90s). I tell ya, SimplyNAS has been one of the best companies I have ever dealt with. This is no small feat in my books. They were unobtrusive in managing the order process, their prices are the best in the business, and they fully tested my QNAP out before they *promptly* shipped it out per their excellent methodology. What's not to love? I really appreciated the fact that I was not bothered in anyway after placing the order and yet I was kept apprised as to the progress of my order every step of the way.

If we had more companies like this, the online experience would be a fantastic thing for everyone. Five stars all the way, and I wish this company the very best. They deserve to enjoy the American dream of entrepreneurial success.

I have bought a QNAP NAS while on a trip to US. I was not able to have it delivered to my hotel, so after a couple of telephone call they offered to deliver themselves to my hotel (about 45 minutos from they warehouse. They were very kind to have this solution and I am extremely satisfied with their support and concern. I would like to express especially my thanks to Antonette, who kindly answered all my mails and phone calls.
