This company are extremely efficient when it comes to selling you insurance but a lot less so when dealing with a claim. Claims are passed to Kindertons Claims Management. I was involved in an accident in which the roof had to be taken off, the car was clearly a write off. Liability was accepted by the other driver immediately. It took about 6 weeks for the car to be officially written off. And then a further month to get any money. Of course, the offer was ridiculously low, based on a level of mileage that no-ne has been able to do because of lockdowns. They did increase it but only after I had to get evidence from the garage who provided the service record. My main issue was communication. I sent daily emails asking for an update, I tried live chats asking for updates, I telephoned and never got through to the right person. It was such hard work. There was no customer service whatsoever.

I thought the help and service I received was 100 per cent, Marshalls are verry friendly and helpfull although i did say to them i did not want to see them again with a damaged car, so they said—just call in for a chat which i might do.this was an accident that should never have happened, if only slight damage— still costs to much money—SORRY.

I feel that the experience of dealing with Volvo car insurance went well. I was really satisfied with the end result of my car when it was returned to me. Staff dealing with the repair at XL motors were very polite and friendly. Happy to help.
There however was a delay in getting the car back to me on time. It was explained that the bonnet that was sent was not in a satisfactory condition to be fitted. I was quoted 3 to 4 days but ended up being 11 days.

I called to question a claim as the third party had informed they had cancelled the claim, and wanted to settle outside of insurance. Instead he wanted to fill in paperwork, surely would be better to find out first and then decide

The service given by Kindertons was very ppor, they messed about for 3 weeks, then told me they could not do anything, and passed me to Allianz, who did not even know about the accident. Eventually got my car back, after 5 weeks, for a simple body panel replacement. Alton cars were very good keeping me informed of progress once the repairs had been approved. I will not be recommending Volvo insurance to anyone else.

I will be back but was disappointed with such a high excess rate which no
Body told me about when I purchased it, especially as I had been with you
Ever since I bought my original Volvo over 20 years ago. I am now glad it is all
Over again. It was a silly little accident in the first place. My new Volvo I have discovered is all plastic, which I did not realise when I looked at or I would not have purchased it, but now I have it I would not part with it.. Thanks for having me, but at first I thought Imwould have to leave you because your man I spoke to
Offered me a policy for £900 which meant I would have to cancel the purchase, which upse me very much, but your second man blamed the computer and gave me a more reasonable quote. Hope this helps you.

This was the one and only time (so far) I have had to make a claim on my car insurance in all my fifty years of driving, so I didn't know what to expect. Volvo Insurance handled everything efficiently, choosing a first-rate bodyshop, and I was thrilled to get my car back in good time with everything meticulously attended to.

When I contacted them by telephone on the number printed on my policy at about 6pm on a weekday I was told sorry we are only the brokers we cannot help you will get someone to call you tomorrow, which they did but unfortunately i was unable to take the call but they left a voicemail so when I called back later in the day I was told sorry everyone's on the phone this was about 3.45 when I asked for a call back they said that would be unlikely as they were busy and I was told to call back tomorrow so it was 2 days before I could get anything done about recording the accident and getting the repair process underway at no time did anyone ask me when I made the initial call to state I had had an accident nobody enquiried if I was Ok, or needed an ambulance or was anyone with me or was I own my own.

Good communication with repair garage plus kept informed by Volvo of progress, only question for me was loan car came from Bristol and was delayed but there are closer hire companies in Cornwall

I had an extremely exasperating time trying for over an hour two or three times to get through on the phone web I had questions about the arrangements. Then getting promises to ring back that weren’t honoured.

I would recommend Volvo car ins to others. Despite a couple of 'blips' in communication, our needs were met very well.

Contacting VCI was quite hassle-free and a local accident repair centre (with links to a Volvo main dealership) rang me back within half an hour. Following a brief visit for them to estimate the repair, the repair centre booked the car in and the work was completed within a week. No issues at all with the quality of the repair work.

Yes, I would recommend VCI and hope to do business with them in the future but, as with most things, price will be a major factor - their policies are not cheap!!

Long delay in assessing damage to our Volvo and gaps in provision of hire car left us without vehicle during 2 months of period without our Volvo.

Responsive whilst polite and personal throughout although Efficient and Business like, Quickly building customer confidence and guidance, between case representative and the customer during and post claim, by a long term Volvo insurance policy holder a 1st time ever 71year old Volvo Insurance claimant.

First contact was good but I then had to chaise the follow as no one called back as promised. The contact after that was good. However claiming my no claims discount voucher has not been easy as I have had phone several times to find out what was happening. Eventually everything got sorted. Staff friendly and helpful just a shame I had to keep chasing the claim

I would have liked to give 5 stars but the damage to the car consisted of a front RHS light and damage to a wing which took 23 days to repair. There should have been more communications between Kindertons and Newbury Crash Repairs (NCR). Yes I appreciate Xmas and Bank holidays are included but a poor performance by any standards. I did most of the chasing to get some action.

Initial call taker was very good but promised to call back within 20 min. Never happened. There are too many departments and people dealing with 1 claim so no continuity. Why ask for an assessor to come and visit when an approved Volvo repairer has already done that and submitted the paperwork. The system doesn’t work. It took a week from initial report to get to the next stage!

I was able to report the accident, which occurred on Sunday 13th May, to the insurer as soon as business opened on the following Monday.There was a longer than expected delay of several hours before the claims department rang me back to obtain details of the accident but thereafter the claim proceeded in a reasonably timely fashion. The Volvo dealer doing the repair kept me in touch with progress until I received notification of approval of the claim from the insurer on May 18th 2018, i.e. within 4 days of reporting the claim. The dealer completed the repair at the end of the following week and I collected my car from them on Saturday 26th May.
