We had a really bad experience with this company and with awful customer care afterwards. We arrived at the accommodation after a 4hr drive with children, elderly family and dogs and found that it hadn't been cleaned, all the beds were stripped, bathrooms still dirty and bins with personal rubbish in. I called them up and they said they would send us to a similar accommodation or we could drive home and get a full refund, which wasn't an option. so we felt that we had no choice other than to accept. But the house wasn't anything like what we had booked. They said to send them photos and they would sort out compensation when the weekend was over. It cost us nearly £600 for the 3 night and we got £80 out back into our account without even checking that we were happy with it and a £40 voucher ( obviously to spend if we booked another £600 weekend ). We called to speak to mangers who were always busy and was supposed to call back twice but never did - just sent us emails saying why that was their final offer. Such bad service and I wouldn't recommend anyone to use them. What I asked for was a weekend at the accommodation that we took hours over choosing on an off season time just so we feel we have actually got the holiday we booked but that wasn't offered.

Our discussion with Wales Cottage Holidays was good, and they were helpful when we had questions about a 6 day booking on the phone. Our reservation process and deposit return went quickly and smoothly.

First used your company (Wales Holidays) in 1996 and have always looked at it first when coming to wales. Always accurate information and helpful staff.

I had to ring to see when my refund of the security deposit would be made and she said it had been delayed a couple of days. This meant it was not returned before my statement was issued but never mind ! Excellent website and part of the Original Cottages group which has some lovely properties for rent.

Very efficient, helpful service, having them send us a five day weather forecast was an added bonus, which was not expected and in fact was very useful. Would use this company again.

Booking and information sent excellent only one small problem we had to ring the owner as we were given the wrong code for the key.

have booked with wales holidays for nearly 30 yrs. always happy with service - but a few years ago a booking fee was introduced- i never understand what this is for and it really irritates me - why do comapanies want an extra fee for just doing their job? if you are a letting agent what else are you doing except taking bookings?
