Unfortunately there was an issue with an exceptional amount of flies in one of the bedrooms in the cottage I booked last year. I reported it, however a cleaner did not call out as it was the weekend, I was advised to buy some fly spray and I would be reimbursed for the cost. I have to say that I was not prepared to wait and cleaned the flies up myself. I am concerned as I have booked the same cottage this year and I mentioned this when booking, the lady I spoke to said she would mention it to the caretaker.

We have been clients of Coastal Cottages for over 25 years and have stayed in many wonderful cottages. Booking has always been excellent especially since it went online and phoning for any help also excellent and polite - you have lovely staff. Thank you

I would not recommending booking Penfeidr cottage - I would have given 1 star but ended up complaining after the first night, luckily Coastal Cottages found me another much nicer cottage at short notice and even gave me a night free! So top marks there...

However back to Penfeidr, I really cannot recommend it, the washing machine is shared (in a shed - locked?) the Wi-Fi that was promised only works in the far courtyard, but worst of all the upstairs bedroom had not been cleaned, indeed it appeared the cleaner had been living there as it was covered in dirty clothes. They hadn't even locked the bedroom door, just pulled a curtain across with the filth inside! I was very shocked by this. It's a nice enough location and the parts that were clean, were very clean (lots of notes saying don't do this, don't do that). Just didn't find it welcoming and would NOT recommend staying here, I would have given it 1 star if Coastal Cottages did not find me better accommodation. Definitely an "interesting" place!!!!

We decided to have a short break with one day's notice and the staff helped us find a lovely cottage from our shortlist. They were courteous and promptly rang us back after speaking to the property owner to confirm our booking.

I wanted to book outside of the normal start day and so had an online chat with one of the advisors. She was very helpful and, after I had given her my top 3 choices, she rang the owners and managed to get exactly what we wanted with my first choice cottage. She emailed me back within an hour and I was then able to ring in and pay for it knowing that it was all reserved.
Great service and very helpful staff ????

We have just booked our third trip using this company and second to The Willows. It’s a brilliant place and the service is first class. Never had any issues.

Dread to think how many years we've been using Coastal, suffice to say the first few times had to coincide with our daughter's junior school holidays. She's now fourty one! Always book by phone, your website just doesn't like me, and never fail to recive excellent response.

Having chosen the property from the brochure, the booking was held for 48 hours so I could consult my family. I rang back to confirm the booking and it was all dealt with very quickly and any questions answered. This will be the fourth time we have gone with Coastal Cottages.

When trying to book a short break the staff were very helpful in liaising with the owner as the property is normally available for the week. Once availability was confirmed I was able to make the booking and payment. I cannot thank both Laura and Sadie enough for their communication.

2nd time we have used these, reason why I did not give five stars is some parts of the booking from did not work very well, i think it was the bit where it asks your age.

Very poor,disgusting attitude to customers
Avoid if you can.Cancelled our booking two days before the start date and left us with no alternative to the location that we had intended to visit.
