I was shocked when I received a bill of $860 dollars (over three months) for a tiny one bed room apartment.
It just didn’t seem right. They said I used up to 71 kw in one day alone which confused me as I’m frugal with my power usage. So I cancelled my membership but received the last bill over two months which was over 500 dollars! I would not recommend this company because I haven’t changed my power usage habits and I’ve never received bills so large from other providers.

I have been with Diamond Energy for a number of years since installing solar panels. They started extremely cheap but over the years their rates and daily charges continue to increase whereby now I'm paying 3 times more a month compared to two years ago. So enough is enough.
I have found someone that will save me $40 at least per month based on information I received from i-select and the supplier. In saying that we will wait for a month or so to see if this is 'fact'. That is, will await for the bill to confirm. Their systems however show that I'm on track in saving. Again lets wait and see when I receive my bill.
Interestingly, I have been contacted by Diamond Energy recently and given I have already joined another supplier I thought this was a good gesture.

Just got off the phone to Diamond Energy they couldn't do enough for me they have always been very helpful been with them now 6years I'm on the 0.60c Feed in Tarrif and they give me a extra 0.08c so 0.68c well as of 1/7 that now goes up too 0.72c Pkwh and have given me a total of 10% Discount for Pay on time and Direct Debit so yes a very happy customer

We have been a customer with DE for 5 years, they were very helpful after we had a solar system installed and getting us signed up.
During the 5 years we have had problems with the supplier (SPAusnet) , Diamond Energy sorted these out (incorrect meter readings, estimated readings). These problems were not caused by DE, yet they still resolved them with the supplier. There are not too many companies in any field were you can ring and actually talk to a human, DE is one, their customer service is excellent and i have recommended them to many friends and family.

After years with AGL & Alinta, I became alarmed at their exorbitant price hikes, so I switched to Diamond Energy. My elec bills are much lower, I like that DE sources its energy from renewables not dirty coal, the supply is reliable and their customer service is excellent! Wish they also supplied gas but not as yet.

Diamond Energy has been our supplier since we switched to Solar about 7 years ago. Every now and then I do some research to see if i can pay even less. I usually find that Diamond Energy is the cheapest based on daily avg kwh and the price even if it is only a few cents, it still shows i'm paying the least so there is no benefit to switching away.

I have currently moved out of home for the first time- I chose Diamond Energy after a friend recommended because of the affordable prices, and excellent customer service and I couldn't agree more! Nothing but efficient and friendly customer service, I'm a very happy customer!

I have been with Diamond Energy for some years now and have found them to be consistently pleasant, helpful, efficient and cheap. Apart from short breaks in supply during the occasional electricity storm I have had no power interruptions.

We are with Diamond energy already for 2 years. "business as usual", everything it top notch... so, really I had no needed to contact the company previously... didn't think to leave a feedback earlier.
Needed to do some administrative changes today and was so impressed by the customer service level... No need to say- friendly, professional, knowledgeable. All this and plus. No work is too small or to big. Was talking to Alex - and you can really feel warmth and smile in her voice. She was incredibly helpful and made me feel so welcome !

While the service is reliable with only one drop out in 18 months, the prices are rather high in my area. Prices begin at 28.4900 c/kWh and move up to 30.6900 c/kWh with higher usage. I can commend their quick activation only taking a day or two to turn my apartment on.
I had thought the company held a good reputation and signed up after leaving home. I have now found that their customer service is sorely lacking with simple mistakes turning into angry affairs.

I was not sent my latest bill, I've checked all spam and trash boxes and have found nothing. On this bill my monthly usage had gone up due to the colder seasons coming in. I was not aware of this and thus couldn't adjust my fortnightly payments accordingly.

The first interaction I had to make me aware of this was a bold red letter email stating they would be enforcing a payment plan if I did not contact them immediately about an overdue amount. There was no reminder text message, no calm call asking if I was aware of this owing amount.

I contacted the help line and received a very cold response from a woman essentially stating I was lying about not receiving the bill. I have had a payment plan set up for over a year making consistent payments but the second I was overdue, I was treated like a criminal.

I will be removing myself as their customer when I can.

1 to 2 years have passed since my entry (and additional comment to it - however, both entries seem to have disappeared with my new review here...).

Meanwhile I reckon that Diamond Energy is the best option available where I live (country NSW), since they lifted their feed-in-rebate to 12 cents (while a small portion of my feed-in-kW even attracts a 15 cents rebate each period.

I see reports on TV of people with horrendous power-bills. This is beyond my comprehension.
Those must be people without solar and without any idea how to use power responsibly.

During a 3 month period, of which I was on my own for 2 month, I even had a power bill over those 3 month, where I received $15.

Obviously the "daily charges" are a rip-off, however they are systematic in Australia, and not Diamond's fault. But with my 5kW system, I was even able to offset those completely (at one time) as I wrote above.

Three months ago we switched electricity providers from AGL to Diamond Energy for both our home and business. We decided that we had a moral obligation to change to a greener electricity provider even if it was going to cost more. We were impressed with the great customer service and ease of switching but were a little worried about how much the bills were going to be. We have just received our first bills and they are considerably less than our previous power bills. We are thrilled and will be recommending Diamond Energy to all our friends.

I've been with Diamond Energy for a number of years now and have just moved house and signed up again. I can't recommend Diamond highly enough. I love that when I ring, I talk to a real person who knows what she's talking about - and I don't even have to wait in a queue!
One of the reasons I chose Diamond is because it rated highly on transparency and I've found this to be the case. When I receive my bill I can see my consumption and emissions for every day. And of course I am very grateful that Diamond continues with its small scale sustainable energy projects in my community.

I like to ask LOTS of questions and be 100% sure before committing I interviewed 4 Solar installers before settling on a 12 kwh system from Green Energy Australia (ps ask for Randall) They recommended Diamond as cost competitive and a great local supplier. I did my research and was ready to hit up the electricity providers and after making several calls and have settled on Diamond primarily because they have great customer service. Also they are the wholesalers for the new SSC solar farm.

Phone service was great. Instantly connect with a human, clear speaking and friendly, had answers for ALL my questions, and provided realistic feedback about options for battery. When I asked about price comparisons, They took a copy of 2 recent electricity bills and generated two clear reports showing savings compared to AGL. Then they added sweeteners for installation and ongoing higher feed in tariff. And have offered to absorb the cost of accelerated cut over meter read..

Email notifications from Diamond have been appropriate keeping me notified of progress. It seems I anticipate the welcome pack will arrive any minute.

Recieved a $1350 bill from these guys after recently signing up. I have a two bedroom unit and usual bill is between $300-$400 with previous companies.
Be very careful!

I have found that the service offered overall by Diamond Energy has been better by far than other providers I have experienced such as Red Energy and Energy Australia. I have been served by Amber-Lou Santer and she seems to make sure the client's situation is understood and follows through in completing requests.

We fitted Solar panels over 5 years ago and joined Diamond Energy.
The installation company were working in conjunction with Diamond Energy and both ensured a smooth change from our previous electricity carrier. Less than one month changeover, very happy.
We have not experienced any major problems, only storm blackouts. Any issues dealt with immediately by phone to Diamond Energy.
Diamond is only a general phone call away, immediate response, not the old press No. and select 6 options 4 times.
We have been very fortunate to have connected to Diamond Energy, My personal experience has been satisfying knowing we are receiving the best attention from the office. Thanks

Solar panels installed on a rental i moved into and got visited by a salesman from Meridian energy to sign up for Diamond energy so i get benefits from the solar otherwise i would not get any and either would the landlord. After receiving the first bill i couldn't be happier but then a month later after i paid it i received a new bill for triple the amount and said they had made an error. After months of back and forth i changed to AGL and couldn't be happier i actually received solar benefits which i wasn't getting with diamond.

A short while after the salesman from meridian energy(solar panels) called me and said i should change back to diamond if i want to stay in the rental property as the landlord is not receiving anything from the panels, straight up blackmail and borderline criminal.

Also gave me a date to pay the invoice which was four weeks away then 3 days later i get a debt collector letter saying they will take legal action if i don't pay it within 7 days.... advised them of this and they said sorry that's an error on our part.

Do not go with diamond energy - incorrect bills/ months for correct it / high prices / terrible customer service.

We changed to Diamond Energy 4 years ago. During this time the savings from our previous supplier and increased savings from Diamond Energy on our electricity bill have enabled us to recovered the compete cost of our solar panels. 4 years ago we replaced our upright hot water system with a on roof solar solar system and as our solar panels have been paid for and combining the hot water solar panels savings with our other solar panels savings expect to recover the full cost of the system on the next power bill.
We know the above is fact as we kept a spread sheet on every bill for the last 8 years with all details laid out.
