I have found someone that will save me $40 at least per month based on information I received from i-select and the supplier. In saying that we will wait for a month or so to see if this is 'fact'. That is, will await for the bill to confirm. Their systems however show that I'm on track in saving. Again lets wait and see when I receive my bill.
Interestingly, I have been contacted by Diamond Energy recently and given I have already joined another supplier I thought this was a good gesture.

During the 5 years we have had problems with the supplier (SPAusnet) , Diamond Energy sorted these out (incorrect meter readings, estimated readings). These problems were not caused by DE, yet they still resolved them with the supplier. There are not too many companies in any field were you can ring and actually talk to a human, DE is one, their customer service is excellent and i have recommended them to many friends and family.

Needed to do some administrative changes today and was so impressed by the customer service level... No need to say- friendly, professional, knowledgeable. All this and plus. No work is too small or to big. Was talking to Alex - and you can really feel warmth and smile in her voice. She was incredibly helpful and made me feel so welcome !

I had thought the company held a good reputation and signed up after leaving home. I have now found that their customer service is sorely lacking with simple mistakes turning into angry affairs.
I was not sent my latest bill, I've checked all spam and trash boxes and have found nothing. On this bill my monthly usage had gone up due to the colder seasons coming in. I was not aware of this and thus couldn't adjust my fortnightly payments accordingly.
The first interaction I had to make me aware of this was a bold red letter email stating they would be enforcing a payment plan if I did not contact them immediately about an overdue amount. There was no reminder text message, no calm call asking if I was aware of this owing amount.
I contacted the help line and received a very cold response from a woman essentially stating I was lying about not receiving the bill. I have had a payment plan set up for over a year making consistent payments but the second I was overdue, I was treated like a criminal.
I will be removing myself as their customer when I can.

Meanwhile I reckon that Diamond Energy is the best option available where I live (country NSW), since they lifted their feed-in-rebate to 12 cents (while a small portion of my feed-in-kW even attracts a 15 cents rebate each period.
I see reports on TV of people with horrendous power-bills. This is beyond my comprehension.
Those must be people without solar and without any idea how to use power responsibly.
During a 3 month period, of which I was on my own for 2 month, I even had a power bill over those 3 month, where I received $15.
Obviously the "daily charges" are a rip-off, however they are systematic in Australia, and not Diamond's fault. But with my 5kW system, I was even able to offset those completely (at one time) as I wrote above.

One of the reasons I chose Diamond is because it rated highly on transparency and I've found this to be the case. When I receive my bill I can see my consumption and emissions for every day. And of course I am very grateful that Diamond continues with its small scale sustainable energy projects in my community.

Phone service was great. Instantly connect with a human, clear speaking and friendly, had answers for ALL my questions, and provided realistic feedback about options for battery. When I asked about price comparisons, They took a copy of 2 recent electricity bills and generated two clear reports showing savings compared to AGL. Then they added sweeteners for installation and ongoing higher feed in tariff. And have offered to absorb the cost of accelerated cut over meter read..
Email notifications from Diamond have been appropriate keeping me notified of progress. It seems I anticipate the welcome pack will arrive any minute.

The installation company were working in conjunction with Diamond Energy and both ensured a smooth change from our previous electricity carrier. Less than one month changeover, very happy.
We have not experienced any major problems, only storm blackouts. Any issues dealt with immediately by phone to Diamond Energy.
Diamond is only a general phone call away, immediate response, not the old press No. and select 6 options 4 times.
We have been very fortunate to have connected to Diamond Energy, My personal experience has been satisfying knowing we are receiving the best attention from the office. Thanks

A short while after the salesman from meridian energy(solar panels) called me and said i should change back to diamond if i want to stay in the rental property as the landlord is not receiving anything from the panels, straight up blackmail and borderline criminal.
Also gave me a date to pay the invoice which was four weeks away then 3 days later i get a debt collector letter saying they will take legal action if i don't pay it within 7 days.... advised them of this and they said sorry that's an error on our part.
Do not go with diamond energy - incorrect bills/ months for correct it / high prices / terrible customer service.

It just didn’t seem right. They said I used up to 71 kw in one day alone which confused me as I’m frugal with my power usage. So I cancelled my membership but received the last bill over two months which was over 500 dollars! I would not recommend this company because I haven’t changed my power usage habits and I’ve never received bills so large from other providers.
