All arrangements were flawless.
Their ‘man’ in Iceland (Gummi) was an amazing ambassador for his country and DtheW.
His vehicle a seriously modified Mercedes went everywhere in comfort and total security..
We visited waterfalls, lava fields, glaciers completely off the map.
The hotels were operated by families and their attention was exemplary.
Maybe too much lamb! Don’t mention the cost of alcohol.

Reason the original staff who was supposed to be dealing with my booking did a really bad job
To the extent I was about to cancel the entire booking/holiday
However his colleagues stepped in and did an excellent job
As an independent person using your company for the first time you need to ensure that they feel safe and reassured by the service you provide, this was not the case at the beginning

On arrival at Sydney we got to the hotel at 7.00 a.m and weren't allowed to book in until 2.00 p.m. so we had to walk around for 7 hours straight off the plane.
Poor service and staff attitude at the motel in Huskisson Bay- would not recommend.
Yanakie was a lovely setting but it's very remote with no local facilities so people need to know in advance about stocking up on supplies.
The Kangaroo Island trip was excellent but let people know beforehand that you don't get back to the hotel until very late in the evening.
Halls Gap - lovely setting but accommodation very basic.

The iPad, preloaded with itinerary and maps was a huge hit, the hotels were excellent (obviously Husafell is a higher grade than Frost and Fire but the food in F&F was extraordinary).
The courtesy call about the incoming storm on our final morning was impeccable service.
And we got to see the Lights, which was pure luck but....amazing.

This trip to Alaska was also tailor-made, and our contact (Jo Cooper) made excellent suggestions around our basic plan.
The information and support were excellent, and the local support in Anchorage was also excellent.

The Nangu Wilderness Hotel is ideal for couples and small groups of adults who want a quieter experience. The staff at the hotel are all willing to help with any question. The activity leaders/guides are all experienced and very knowledgable about the area.
Our deluxe log cabin room was spacious but cozy and spotlessly clean. The central lodge building is comfortable and a meeting point for all the guests. The food was really top quality, combining local specialities with more standard fare.
We loved it!
