Just had my Garmin GPSmap 64st (refurbished) for a few days. It arrived unbeliievably in about 3 days on the nose! Not a sign of wear or repair of any kind and it functions perfectly so far as I can determine. Acquisition speed is the best i've ever had, being a gps user for about 20 years. While many people opt to use their smart phones for topo etc., i like the independence from a cell tower, of course. Verizon does not provide free data for Canada or other out-of-the-way destinations (even if you can get a signal). To make this a more fully featured tool, you need Garmin's city navigator nt for Canada, the US and Mexico. If you spend most of the time behind the wheel, better to get a fully loaded driving gps.

I have a Garmin Approach S3 Golf Watch and the band on it 'died' last season. I've been McGivering the band for a year. I was excited to find a replacement band on this site. The band is an authentic Garmin replacement and my watch is like new again. Thank you so much!

Incredible deal on a trade-in of my GPSMAP 60csx for an Oregon 750t. I chatted with customer service about how the trade-in thing works and get a little advice to help me decide between the Oregon or GPSMAP 6st and the agent was super helpful. I loved my pushbutton unit and really hesitant to move to touch screen. I wouldn't have done it if not for using touch screens on cell phones for years now (I'm old and stuffy guy...). I rated the new Oregon 5 stars but that's premature. I took it out on a 5 mile mountain hike today, and it performed admirably. My only concern is to see how the touch screen responds in freezing or close to freezing weather. Today was 36 degrees and it did well. So, looks good, time will tell. I've read a lot of negative reviews of the Oregon series. Since I've had years with Garmin products, I adapted readily to the Oregon, but nonetheless have spent about 6 hours learning and trying and practicing its features, and still have a few questions and things I need to iron out in my head. I love this thing so far, but it does come with a pretty steep learning curve, and will throw some curve balls at you, so I fully understand why so many are frustrated with it. I would say I'm definitely an advanced user, and .... so far so good. Battery life is being tested now, and here again many reviews criticize it being far below 16 hours, but.....that learning curve...once you understand what will drain the battery and turn off all the power sucking apps and features not needed, it looks like the battery will perform well. Not sure it's up to 16 hours, but I've not had a chance to thoroughly test that, so tonight the jury's out and the test is on. It is at 12 hours running now with 5 hours of that on the trail doing tracking and taking a few pictures, and there is 1 bar left showing on the power meter. I carry extra batteries (heavy I know, but...) and run my GPS more than needed when I hike. I don't care if I get 16 hours, but I need to complete a full day of work without changing batteries. This looks like it easily meets my needs there. We'll see about touch screen in cold weather; hopefully I get some of that cold stuff before exchange period expires. On that note, company has good exchange policy - 45 days; maybe doesn't match REI's , but their service and pricing / trade-in deals are tough to beat. The refurbished program is also super, and if I was on a budget I could have purchased a state-of-art refurbished GPS for a modest price. Besides, if the unit fails I am protected by warranty. 45 days is adequate to make up my mind on a product anyway, most of the time. I consider gpsnation to be a new premier resource for me; unfortunately for them I won't need another unit for years. Then again if my wife or kids want one anytime I'll certainly steer them to gpsnation!
