The closest clinic is a 2 hour drive from where I live.
On the consultation day we went through all the standard stuff, what size, what shape etc.
I was quoted for just implants and also a quote for a possible areola lift.
A few weeks passed I decided to book the surgeon consultation which was £500 upfront £100 for the surgeon and £400 to book my surgery date.
Drove all the way back up to Bristol to meet the surgeon. Nobody bothered to tell me he was running an hour late. A frequent patient told me he always runs late.
The surgeon had a kind of I can’t be bothered to be here attitude. The surgeon then said no you have to have a full uplift. Which of course took the cost up £2,500.
I did not go through with the surgery as could not justify that amount on one procedure.
After doing research it seemed my breasts weren’t below the “line” to require an uplift.
I have since seen a surge won with Nuffield who has stated I am definitely not on the side of things to need an uplift and to preform one on me would be criminal. It’s also cheaper than I was first quoted at Harley and pretty much on my doorstep so win win :)
I have since read reviews on Harley on a different site I didn’t know existed and I feel so lucky I never went through surgery with them.
After writing a complaint to Harley I was able to get a full £500 refund
I would advise anyone who is considering surgery to avoid anywhere that wants money upfront or doesn’t allow you to book with a surgeon straight away.

I've wanted the procedure for over 10 years as I was so unhappy with my breasts before; I explained exactly what results I wanted and the patient coordinator and surgeon totally understood. I've had various consultations with other cosmetic surgery groups and you can't even put them in the same category.
I had Anna de Leo as my surgeon and used the Brighton clinic for all appointments. Dr Leo can be quite abrupt and not overly friendly which my patient coordinator did give me the heads up - thankfully she's an excellent surgeon and I'd much rather she better at that than people skills! The team of women at the clinic were AMAZING though - Emma, Kelly, Marilyn and Harriet are an absolute credit to HMG. So friendly and couldn't have done more for me.
From the very first appointment I had a gut feel that HMG were the right choice for me as they made me feel so comfortable and everything was so professional. The end result is more than I could have ever wished for and I finally have the body I've always wanted. My confidence and self-esteem has improved so much. I've felt properly cared for throughout and the aftercare was great - weekly check-in calls, 1-week post op appointment and a 6-week check up. I could call them whenever I had a concern or question as recovery was very painful.
If you've been considering cosmetic surgery then I would highly recommend Harley Medical. It's been faultless!

My consultant - Sophie, went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable in her care and I have no doubts on her ability as a consultant, in fact Sophie is one of the main reasons why I went with Harley Medical in the first place - she completely sold it to me!
The same cannot be said about her colleagues, I was left to go home in a very emotional state due to going there - putting my full trust in someone with something so important to me and how I had been spoken to regarding something very irrelevant to what I was there for.
I was waiting to move my vehicle from a space (Which I agree I shouldn't have parked in) but had no other choice as they don't have much in the way of parking. But it seems they make more appointments than they can actually cater for. I was having to wait for a member of staff to find me somewhere suitable to park my car to be able to have my pre-op done, during this time I was asked to sit in their waiting room whilst they found somewhere, this was with other clients waiting for appointments. Whilst sat there numerous staff decided to have a degrading conversation regarding myself and where I had parked my car. After confronting their poor attitude and customer service skills, I was still willing to continue with the pre-op. I was next approached by Dawn Fox (whom I believe Leads the Customer Service Department at Harley Medical). The manner in which she approached me was very passive aggressive, despite the parking situation already being dealt with, and I was left confused into what prompted her abruptness and rudeness.
Since entering the premises, I felt I was bullied and harassed by multiple members of the team and I became uncomfortable with paying this company the £5,ooo+ I’d agreed to perform the surgery. I requested to speak with Dawn Fox again, to resolve the situation, but once again she was rude and very passive aggressive. She told me it was "a shame to cancel after coming this far" and I agree it is a shame to have cancelled it due to something so trivial. But what worried me is if that is how they treat you before they have your money and perform the surgery,what can I expect to happen after surgery?
I thank the members of the team who attempted to resolve/calm the situation. But mainly due to Dawn Fox’s poor customer service skills, I‘ve made the decision to take my custom elsewhere.
Since then I have asked for my £2000 deposit to be refunded and have been told I will be added to next months payroll which would be 6 weeks away.
I would advise anyone to have quite a few consultations with different companies and if you are having something done that is very personal and sensitive then Harley Medical isn't the company for you, as they don't treat you with sensitivity or respect.
17/02/2020 UPDATE!!!
STILL NO REFUND!!!
Still awaiting my £2000 refund from 23/01/2020 every time I call I'm fobbed off with excuses. 'Manjit Gill' is the manager here and the lady who deals with refunds - but cant process mine until next month for some strange reason! Sounds to me like they don't have the available funds there to refund people. Also expressed to me that they have recently been taken over by a new finance company!
DO NOT GIVE HARLEY MEDICAL A PENNY OF YOUR MONEY

Shame on you Harley Medical for not caring about your staff or your customers. There would be zero financial detriment to Harley if they just rearranged my appointment. I'm absolutely shocked that a 'medical' organisation is taking no heed of government advice in the event of a pandemic, very irresponsible and dangerous to their staff and the public.
UPDATE: Despite the response from HMG below, and me providing them with my contact details - I have not heard from them.

Instead of feeling confident and happy with my almost £13000 transformation I am disgusted and upset about it.

It turns out that they unfortunately discriminate against anyone with any past mental health issues which can be in any way insinuated as the reason for the surgical pursuit (mine was not). Despite my GP willing to back me up, they still won't touch me.
They did however state they'd refund me and send a check in the post, so i guess all is well?

After many unanswered calls and emails, I finally managed to speak to someone ‘acting’ as the regional manager for the North West of England who said the debt I am owed is not his problem or concern and offered no advice. He assured me that Skin, under no circumstance, would refund me. His tone was insincere, rude and patronising. He even had the audacity to lay the responsibility on the Clinic Manager, who although apologetic, could not offer any advice and had minimal knowledge that the company had gone into administration.
THMG Ltd business model is founded on getting your money from you at the earliest of opportunity and retaining money owed for as long as possible. I was given the wrong date for a nurse consultation, pressured and hounded for payments at the earliest opportunity. Yet when I am owed a refund, in line with THMG Ltd T&C’s, they cut communication. Responsibility is passed around like some sort of game. I would strongly advise not to use this company.
If you are owed a refund by THMG Ltd I would email the administrators. As I can't post an email address on this forum, Gazette.co.uk details the name, address and contact details of the administrators.

Mr Will Sarakbi is definitely the best. He gave the opportunity to ask any questions I have and has been transparent with everything included in the procedure especially risks.
I've wanted to do breast augmentation for 10+ years and only now summoned the courage. Even until the last minute I was really scared however Will and the anesthesiologist Ian were so lovely, professional and re-assuring that all fear disappeared and I woke up calm and happy.
I was also very pleased with the aftercare in the Welbeck hospital where my surgery took place. The staff were the nicest, caring and very attentive.
