I was recommended to come to Harley Medical by a friend who had undertaken her surgery there last year. Absolutely grateful for the results and also very happy with everything from clinic comms through information provided.

Mr Will Sarakbi is definitely the best. He gave the opportunity to ask any questions I have and has been transparent with everything included in the procedure especially risks.

I've wanted to do breast augmentation for 10+ years and only now summoned the courage. Even until the last minute I was really scared however Will and the anesthesiologist Ian were so lovely, professional and re-assuring that all fear disappeared and I woke up calm and happy.

I was also very pleased with the aftercare in the Welbeck hospital where my surgery took place. The staff were the nicest, caring and very attentive.

Appointments for my course of treatments have now been cancelled 3 times - each time requiring me to rearrange work and other commitments (even more annoying given recovery time post treatment that needs to be planned). My course was also moved from the original practitioner who I consulted with to someone else, who didn’t understand my requirements and as a result didn’t perform the procedure as intended. The customer service team have failed to provide a suitable alternative and are now being inflexible and refusing to provide a refund for the remaining treatments.

The people are so friendly and reassuring, there is absolutely no sales pressure, I had my first meeting with Debbie at the Manchester clinic, where I was asked everything specific to me, reason I wanted surgery, what did I want from the procedure, what my expectations were. This then enable Debbie to get an insight into what I wanted and she was then able to Taylor my procedure to my needs and by knowing this was able to select the appropriate surgeon.The next step was for me to meet the surgeon, again very friendly who took his time getting to know me (90 minutes) again I was free to not go ahead with the procedure which the surgeon did remind me about on a few occasions. This to me was very reassuring as I had not parted with any money and used up 4 hours of appointment time and still no hard sell.Finally I had my pre-op all very friendly and every aspect is explained in full, I was given direct contact numbers to call anytime all very reassuring. I couldn’t recommend HMG enough.

I visited Harley medical last year for breast augmentation after having 3 children.
The closest clinic is a 2 hour drive from where I live.
On the consultation day we went through all the standard stuff, what size, what shape etc.
I was quoted for just implants and also a quote for a possible areola lift.

A few weeks passed I decided to book the surgeon consultation which was £500 upfront £100 for the surgeon and £400 to book my surgery date.

Drove all the way back up to Bristol to meet the surgeon. Nobody bothered to tell me he was running an hour late. A frequent patient told me he always runs late.
The surgeon had a kind of I can’t be bothered to be here attitude. The surgeon then said no you have to have a full uplift. Which of course took the cost up £2,500.
I did not go through with the surgery as could not justify that amount on one procedure.

After doing research it seemed my breasts weren’t below the “line” to require an uplift.
I have since seen a surge won with Nuffield who has stated I am definitely not on the side of things to need an uplift and to preform one on me would be criminal. It’s also cheaper than I was first quoted at Harley and pretty much on my doorstep so win win :)

I have since read reviews on Harley on a different site I didn’t know existed and I feel so lucky I never went through surgery with them.

After writing a complaint to Harley I was able to get a full £500 refund

I would advise anyone who is considering surgery to avoid anywhere that wants money upfront or doesn’t allow you to book with a surgeon straight away.

I'm now 7 weeks post op having had a breast augmentation with Harley Medical Group and could not recommend them enough - from start to finish, it has been an incredible experience.

I've wanted the procedure for over 10 years as I was so unhappy with my breasts before; I explained exactly what results I wanted and the patient coordinator and surgeon totally understood. I've had various consultations with other cosmetic surgery groups and you can't even put them in the same category.

I had Anna de Leo as my surgeon and used the Brighton clinic for all appointments. Dr Leo can be quite abrupt and not overly friendly which my patient coordinator did give me the heads up - thankfully she's an excellent surgeon and I'd much rather she better at that than people skills! The team of women at the clinic were AMAZING though - Emma, Kelly, Marilyn and Harriet are an absolute credit to HMG. So friendly and couldn't have done more for me.

From the very first appointment I had a gut feel that HMG were the right choice for me as they made me feel so comfortable and everything was so professional. The end result is more than I could have ever wished for and I finally have the body I've always wanted. My confidence and self-esteem has improved so much. I've felt properly cared for throughout and the aftercare was great - weekly check-in calls, 1-week post op appointment and a 6-week check up. I could call them whenever I had a concern or question as recovery was very painful.

If you've been considering cosmetic surgery then I would highly recommend Harley Medical. It's been faultless!

On Wednesday 22nd January 2020 I attended Harley Medical for a Pre-Op for Breast Augmentation. Despite having a great experience in my consultations up until this point, my experience on this occasion left me unwilling to continue my journey with Harley Medical and I’ve requested a full refund.

My consultant - Sophie, went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable in her care and I have no doubts on her ability as a consultant, in fact Sophie is one of the main reasons why I went with Harley Medical in the first place - she completely sold it to me!

The same cannot be said about her colleagues, I was left to go home in a very emotional state due to going there - putting my full trust in someone with something so important to me and how I had been spoken to regarding something very irrelevant to what I was there for.

I was waiting to move my vehicle from a space (Which I agree I shouldn't have parked in) but had no other choice as they don't have much in the way of parking. But it seems they make more appointments than they can actually cater for. I was having to wait for a member of staff to find me somewhere suitable to park my car to be able to have my pre-op done, during this time I was asked to sit in their waiting room whilst they found somewhere, this was with other clients waiting for appointments. Whilst sat there numerous staff decided to have a degrading conversation regarding myself and where I had parked my car. After confronting their poor attitude and customer service skills, I was still willing to continue with the pre-op. I was next approached by Dawn Fox (whom I believe Leads the Customer Service Department at Harley Medical). The manner in which she approached me was very passive aggressive, despite the parking situation already being dealt with, and I was left confused into what prompted her abruptness and rudeness.

Since entering the premises, I felt I was bullied and harassed by multiple members of the team and I became uncomfortable with paying this company the £5,ooo+ I’d agreed to perform the surgery. I requested to speak with Dawn Fox again, to resolve the situation, but once again she was rude and very passive aggressive. She told me it was "a shame to cancel after coming this far" and I agree it is a shame to have cancelled it due to something so trivial. But what worried me is if that is how they treat you before they have your money and perform the surgery,what can I expect to happen after surgery?

I thank the members of the team who attempted to resolve/calm the situation. But mainly due to Dawn Fox’s poor customer service skills, I‘ve made the decision to take my custom elsewhere.

Since then I have asked for my £2000 deposit to be refunded and have been told I will be added to next months payroll which would be 6 weeks away.

I would advise anyone to have quite a few consultations with different companies and if you are having something done that is very personal and sensitive then Harley Medical isn't the company for you, as they don't treat you with sensitivity or respect.

17/02/2020 UPDATE!!!
STILL NO REFUND!!!
Still awaiting my £2000 refund from 23/01/2020 every time I call I'm fobbed off with excuses. 'Manjit Gill' is the manager here and the lady who deals with refunds - but cant process mine until next month for some strange reason! Sounds to me like they don't have the available funds there to refund people. Also expressed to me that they have recently been taken over by a new finance company!
DO NOT GIVE HARLEY MEDICAL A PENNY OF YOUR MONEY

Had surgery 4th Oct with dr Sharma an he’s done an amazing job considering what he had to work with cannot beleive the result an it’s only 3weeks . The aftercare is amazing with nurse Catherine she’s so understanding an reassuring me every step x

From my consultation with Dawn to my first day experiencing Derma needling with Marianna who is very passionate and has made me feel very comfortable & relaxed throughout this whole process from day one.
Now on my 4th derma needling session and I can really see the results :)

Unreasonable clause when signing up for treatment that outlines all packages must be used within 12 months. If you therefore purchase a package of 8 treatments, but would also like to have more than 1 holiday in a year you are unable to fulfil the contract obligations due to the 2-week window either side of a sun holiday. It is also often difficult to book time slots which therefore can lead to further delays which are not taken into account. I find this clause to be unrealistic. If I have paid for a service, I do not expect to be restricted to a 12-month time frame in which to use the service. On this basis I will not be using the service following the completion of my existing course due to the uncompromising nature of the business. As a paying customer, I feel it is my entitlement to take advantage of treatments I have paid for without it impacting upon my personal life and when I can or cannot take holidays. Poor business model for retaining long-term customers.

At the start of my laser treatment last year there were a few admin errors with my appointments, and I never felt that I received a sincere apology for being turned away despite travelling 30 mins to my appointment. In addition to that, the reception team blamed the call centre, which I think is unprofessional. Since this, the service has been great and hence why I have stuck with them. Now I have had 8 full leg treatments and 16 Hollywood treatments. My last leg treatment was the end of June and my last bikini treatment was mid September. My leg hair had pretty much all grown back by September, albeit thinner, and though I realise you need one or two top ups a year to keep it up, I think 3 months is extremely disappointing considering how much money I have spent. I had expressed my concerns to the staff doing my treatments throughout the treatments that I felt it was growing back too quickly in the 6 week gaps but nothing was addressed. Overall, I think paying this much money for laser, and only getting results for a few months before needing more top ups, is a waste of money.

Called to cancel my laser hair appointment approximately 43 hours before it was scheduled to take place - reason for cancellation was that I had had direct contact with someone with Coronavirus and had been told to self isolate, work from home and avoid all non-essential travel, rendering it impossible for me to make the appointment. Unfortunately Harley Medical have told me my appointment is forfeited because I didn't provide them with 48 hours notice, and so I've lost my appointment that I paid circa. £100 for.

Shame on you Harley Medical for not caring about your staff or your customers. There would be zero financial detriment to Harley if they just rearranged my appointment. I'm absolutely shocked that a 'medical' organisation is taking no heed of government advice in the event of a pandemic, very irresponsible and dangerous to their staff and the public.

UPDATE: Despite the response from HMG below, and me providing them with my contact details - I have not heard from them.

I’ve been to a few consultations and when I had one at The Harley Medical Group with Deborah, I felt 100% understood and comfortable. All my question and concerns were put to ease. I can confidently say that I wouldn’t recommend anywhere else.

Had breast uplift with implants and a full tummy tuck, at my consultation I told my surgeon I wanted C Cups, he told me this would look silly on my Size 8 frame we agreed one D cup although I still wasnt happy with this. Went to Preston for my procedures and I now have F/G cups which I absolutely hate as I've never wanted big breasts. My tummy scar is horrific and the pockets at either side are a total embarrassment, my belly button is completely abnormal now.
Instead of feeling confident and happy with my almost £13000 transformation I am disgusted and upset about it.

First impressions were great and i was planning to pursue surgery with them, however, after taking £100 off me for a surgical consultation afterwards, they then cancel without any initial explanation.
It turns out that they unfortunately discriminate against anyone with any past mental health issues which can be in any way insinuated as the reason for the surgical pursuit (mine was not). Despite my GP willing to back me up, they still won't touch me.
They did however state they'd refund me and send a check in the post, so i guess all is well?

I have been waiting for a refund since the beginning of November 2019. Through my own research I found out that THMG Limited, trading as The Harley Medical Group went into administration on 29th November 2019. Harley Medical Group was offloaded by RCapital, a turnaround investor, to Skin, a private equity-backed chain of dermatology clinics.

After many unanswered calls and emails, I finally managed to speak to someone ‘acting’ as the regional manager for the North West of England who said the debt I am owed is not his problem or concern and offered no advice. He assured me that Skin, under no circumstance, would refund me. His tone was insincere, rude and patronising. He even had the audacity to lay the responsibility on the Clinic Manager, who although apologetic, could not offer any advice and had minimal knowledge that the company had gone into administration.

THMG Ltd business model is founded on getting your money from you at the earliest of opportunity and retaining money owed for as long as possible. I was given the wrong date for a nurse consultation, pressured and hounded for payments at the earliest opportunity. Yet when I am owed a refund, in line with THMG Ltd T&C’s, they cut communication. Responsibility is passed around like some sort of game. I would strongly advise not to use this company.
If you are owed a refund by THMG Ltd I would email the administrators. As I can't post an email address on this forum, Gazette.co.uk details the name, address and contact details of the administrators.
