The feed back at the head of this revue column gives a 5* rating at 70%.
I have just counted the only responses listed, 23 and they are ALL negative.
I posted on the JP Cookery page with my honest and I felt well reasoned complaints, the responses were in the main negative with most contributors agreeing that if not a confidence trick, the product was most certainly the result of clever and manipulative marketing.

How anyone is supposed to cook a complete meal for any more than a single person in what is effectively a shallow frying pan is a mystery.
The rubber slip on handles which were charged out as extras, are useless and offer no protection.
I discovered from the brochure which accompanied my What's-the point pan that it should not be used in an oven at a temperature above 180 C or the lid will melt NO mention of that in the promo!
I bought a copy of the cookery book - it's barely a book, more of a paper-back promo and I learned nothing from the contents.
The bottom line is that I bought a very expensive frying pan with no usable handle ……..
I'll leave other prospective buyers to decide whether to waste their money, or not ……..

I very much appreciate the offer. However, although I will definitely order from you again, for Xmas gifts, I only have SS income. I must spread my spending over several months. Cannot order with this short-term offer..

The whatever pan. Lovely pan, surprisingly light, easy to clean, doesn't need much oil or butter to fry. Don't bother to buy the silicone handles as an extra though. They don't work, they get as hot as the pan. Wear oven gloves!

Ordered this product and email received to acknowledge order and stating that further email would be sent confirming despatch and date for delivery. Well over two weeks past and nothing then out of the blue there is the DPD chap on the doorstep with the item. We were just about to go out for the day and fortunate that he caught us in. Payment was instantly taken at time of order and I feel this should not be taken until item is despatched.

The grille pan itself appears good and fit for purpose.

I am always happy when I can purchase something from Jean Patrique - I was offered the Whatever Pan cookbook as an early addition - it arrived and I am frantically working through the 50 recipes, love it!!

Totally disappointed and dissatisfied with your customer service. I have paid for a knife which is now well overdue. I called your customer services to tell them that I work in a college which is open from 7.30am till 5pm. The courier stated that they attempted to deliver this parcel at 10 am but there was no one in. This is simply not true.
I contacted your customer services to complain about this and a young lady gave me the name and number of the courier asking me to contact them directly !! I explained that I had bought the knife from you and not the courier.
I was told I would receive it yesterday. Still no show. I am a regular customer and I will have no option but to ask for a refund.

I was happy to purchase the cook book at £17.99 has I was lead to believe was a special offer due to me purchasing the Whatever pan earlier.Before I had received my purchase I notice the cook book had been reduced to £7.99 to everyone. I was not impressed and emailed you with my complaint. You have amend my order and placed the diffence back into my account.

So far I've bought the Whatever pan, it's totally amazing & the best pan we've ever had when it comes to cooking steak!

I also got the Excalibur Mezzaluna & chopping board recently. It's brilliant for chopping up herbs, it's easy to use & the blade is light & easy to use (however, be aware it's very sharp) the wooden board has a shaped bowl which is great for keeping the contents in one place as you chop up herbs etc.
Our latest purchase landed on our door a few days ago. It's the Whatever pan cookbook, not had chance to try it out yet but as soon as possible. Had a quick look through. It looks pretty good & there are QR codes to scan & check out the recipes! Can't wait to try them!

I had been finding my old pans difficult to manage as I am elderly and have arthritic hands. It was just what I was looking for and is well made and with a nice glass lid.
