Modern have looked after us for over fourteen years. We have installed shutters at home and just recently at our holiday house. Great job, couldn't believe how fast and efficient everything ran. had the hole house done 18 months ago, got the battery controllers, the small kitchen motor has stopped working and need to replace it, not happy jan as there only covered by a 12 month warranty, should of got the electric motors , so now i hope i dont have to replace the rest of the house motors,

My plantation shutters look fantastic and they really do reduce the heat that my front rooms get in the summer months. They are very easy to use and keep clean. Modern‘s service was great with very knowledgeable and friendly staff.

From first to final contact for our roller shutters, the Modern company has been professional.
The sales, measuring and installation staff were friendly and informative. We are very happy with the way Victor, James and Tim provided information and feedback to us.
The measuring and installation were both done proficiently and professionally, and they made it stress free from measure and quote to final installation.
Even though we wanted a colour to match our home that was not on the Modern list of colour choices,
Modern arranged to provide the colour we wanted.
We are so impressed with the incredible difference the roller shutters have made to our home, inside and out.
The colour of the roller shutters has blended in with our existing exterior house colours, and the shutters have made our home look smarter, and more up to date.
From the inside we can raise the shutters a little and still have filtered light, but not the heat that used to destroy our window furnishings, and fade them (and us! Phew)
But the most amazing thing we have discovered is the protection to our windows. We open the shutters slightly which means we can now have our windows open for ventilation, even during the rain, and have fresh air but no rain damage.
We are now saving up and eagerly look forward to our next installation.

Our first contact with Modern was a couple of years ago when we were looking at installing plantation shutters in a couple of our main rooms. I believe we got a great deal after some negotiation and the installation was very professional, the guy was here all day and did a fantastic job. Our second time a couple of months ago was also very similar with a great deal and extremely fast delivery and installation as we had family coming over from the UK and they did everything possible to install them in time.

I had my motorized shutters fitted 18 years ago by Modern. I have never had any problems & I often get call backs from Modern to see if I’m still happy with their product.
I have recommend their shutters to family & friends & I will continue to do so.

Everything was installed quickly and efficiently and I had no issues until the motor broke on one of the shutters only 4 years later. Wasn’t happy about the fact that I had to pay quite a large amount to have it replaced.

Gave us an 11,500 quote for just 6 windows then when we cancelled it they're so hard to talked to it's like they dont want to do the cancellation! It took 1 1/2 week for just a cancellation im asking them to just email humm and they can't do it!so annoying people!!so many excuses and reasons! Will definitely not recommend! A waste of time amd money!

I phoned for a quotation and was given several reasons why I can’t get one. The customer service officer named May, just seemed too busy to want our business. She was full of petty excuses.

Our blinds were not installed by Modern but Gary understood how they worked and used his skill to fix the initial problem and then used his attention to detail to rectify the way the roller shutters had been originally installed - they are now operating as they should have been from the beginning. We were told by other installers that the problem Gary corrected was too expensive to fix, he took 5 minutes....
