Norfolk Cottages

I have booked several cottages with Norfolk Cottages all bookings have been seamless and efficient. I would recommend this company.

I have used this company for a number of years and any time I've needed additional information they have been very helpful

Whilst we have enjoyed our two holidays booked with Norfolk cottages overall, after having our first holiday to be not a a described (regarding child safety and house/garden layout) and our second booking involving being overcharged and then finding poor hygiene standards (single bed sheets and carpeted bathrooms) I doubt I’ll risk booking again.

One phone call on the Monday re the heating problem which was resolved by the owner. There is no emergency number for this sort of weekend problem

Booked the cottage with less than 48 hrs before arrival with no issues at all. All info sent out regarding keys etc straight away.

I did have to phone the office and give my mobile no the day before we arrived as we had not received the keysafe no before

I booked through Norfolk cottages for a week long stay in what appeared to be a small cottage or ground floor flat in Cromer in August 2019. This was to be our first holiday as a family with our 8 month old baby. The property itself was beautifully decorated, light and airy and the owners left a generous welcome pack. Unfortunately to access it took 30 external stairs and a further 3 once inside the property - this had not been made clear anywhere on the web site. In fact, the photos showed a small picnic table outside the front door and so we thought it must be ground floor. I immediately contacted Norfolk cottages by email and got an apologetic response but the lack of accessibility ruined our holiday and we ended up vacating the property 2 days early. My husband had to carry the baby in his pushchair up and down the stairs if we wanted to go out, this was compounded by some really wet and windy weather making it feel twice as dangerous. Again, I let Norfolk cottages know and received an apology but they insisted it was clearly a flat and placed responsibility on the owner of the property. I have since noted that the website has been updated to say the property is accessed by stairs but this still feels like an understatement. Had I been on my own with a baby I would not have been able to access the property at all. Be wary of what you book!!

I use Norfolk Cottages very year for our Norfolk holiday and have not had a bad experience. I would however like to see some customer loyalty and not have to keep paying a booking fee.

I complained on the 7th and you didn't respond until the 9th. Your first response was that you would contact the owner, which didn't actually address the issues at all. It was only after a further complaint that you admitted there had been a problem with the cleaning and something was done about it. Too little too late by then.

Been booking 1 Abbey House through NCC for about 15 years or so with absolutely no problems. Staff very helpful and pleasant when we have to contact them.

We have booked a number of cottages with Norfolk Country Cottages and have always had first class service.

We’ve booked three breaks through Norfolk Cottages and have had excellent service each time.

Property was very nice but It would of been useful to of been told about everything in Cley beinyg closed in January and February. Pub,coffee shop (Artemis breakfast) and smokehouse all shut for winter. This meant no nearby facilities.

Never had any issues with the service at Norfolk Cottages and have used them for a number of years because of this.

I have used Norfolk Cottages for years and have always felt both confident of the service and valued as a customer.

I moved house after making the initial booking and rang to update NCC with my new address, email address and home phone number but these details were not updated, despite a second phone call updating them again, resulting in the owner of the holiday property sending access information to my old address a week before the holiday. Fortunately I had paid for my mail to be redirected!!

I have had two wonderful holidays in Blakeney and look forward to booking my next visit with Norfolk Country Cottages.

Booked 4 months in advance but could not cancel 13 hours later.

We had a problem with electrics one day which initially affected the fridge. It took over 2 hours before someone returned the call to respond. In the meantime we moved the fridge ourselves to a different socket to make sure the food was not affected. By the time someone returned our call we had ascertained a specific socket causing the problem and isolated this ourselves.
