The modules arrived two days later, ensconced in antistatic bags and packed along with a stiffening piece of cardboard inside the heavy return envelope, which was in turn inside a larger FedEx mailer. I'm a picky shipper and this struck me as a very efficient way of providing all the protection needed for a handful of SODIMMs.
As it turns out, my laptop's motherboard has 0 meg soldered on and can accomodate a max of 256 in the module slot, so there's no way to take it to 512. I ended up returning the two expensive modules and keeping the cheapest one, the 256. The return process was smooth and uneventful, though it took some time to credit the refund. They say they test all returned modules and I assume this is what caused the delay.
Except for the less-than-comprehensive configurator, OEMPCWorld did everything right. Their website is short on crap and long on technical details, just the way I like it.
Also check out the terms and conditions before buying. Their "guarantee" that the RAM you buy will work in your computer is just a normal right to return the product at your cost. The guarantee does not actually mean anything.
Maybe this is only a problem with export delivery service but anyway, I would never use or recommend this supplier again.
Ordered on 03/30/2004. Shipped the next day with the first class mail (free shipping). Arrived 04/05. The memory was installed successfully w/o any problem. Will buy again (if I need to fix other old stuffs 8-)
Well I've found your company online and you have what I need so I've ordered 2 and had them shipped to my home without Any delays !

I can't speak for the quality of OEMPCworld's customer service, as I've had no problems so far, but I would definitely order memory from them again.

Just an update: I've ordered memory from OEMPcWorld seven times since June 2004. Every time I've gotten memory that worked perfectly the first time at an excellent price.
I did have one defective DRAM module two months ago (died after 18 months of operation). I requested an RMA number online, got it within an hour, mailed back the module that night, and had a replacement a few days later.
I will continue to turn to this company for my memory needs.
