Marc Strohl at Protax has helped us with our taxes for the past 3 years. My husband and I particularly appreciate his professionalism, knowledge, availability, and always speedy support. He has taken the time to provide us with extra guidance, far exceeding our expectations. As a bonus, Marc is friendly and very funny - as British expats we particularly appreciate this, especially when it comes to dealing with taxes!

Excellent accounting service for expats! It's by far the highest quality I've come across. Marc has also answered many of my questions outside of tax season over the years for which I'm very grateful for. The documentation and attention to detail are outstanding. I've also learned great deal in terms of financial education.

Highly recommend Marc and his team. Very knowledgeable about tax returns pertaining to expats. We have used his guidance and services since 2012 and have always received super quick responses to any queries, concerns or doubts.

Marc has prepared my returns for the past seven years. He is highly knowledgeable about tax matters, as one would expect, and responds to email questions astonishingly fast, often within minutes, regardless of the time of day. He is also a zealous advocate for his clients. Several years ago I sought a refund from a state tax authority. Marc called the relevant agency and spoke with several people until he found a decision-maker I received the refund within about a week. I have been very happy with Marc and the service provided by ProTax.

In 2009 I had the pleasure of cold contacting Protax’s Marc Strohl, CPA with a pressing international audit situation related to tax years some 5-6 years prior where I was being vigorously pursued by the IRS for penalties and allegedly unpaid back taxes, after having used another firm to file those tax returns. Marc tediously negotiated with the IRS and re-filed those tax years coolly and professionally massaging the auditor and had the case marginalized resulting in REFUNDS of monies that the IRS owed me!

Marc is truly a master in sorting my taxes out. Being a complicated case, dealing with the US and UK he was able to work with my company and there accountants to organize me and them! to submit my taxes. He corrected errors that I would never have found. I have no doubt in recommending his services, he is certainly a master in his trade.

As British expats, working and living here in the US since 2008, my wife and I have used Protax Consulting every year. We use their annual Tax Organizer which makes a complex tax return simple and straightforward. Marc has an in-depth knowledge of US expatriate tax issues and keeps us up to date with any new regulations and news via regular newsletters and emails. I particularly like the fact that I can email Marc and always get a very timely in response to questions. Very professional company which I highly recommend.

I have been working with Protax Consulting Services for the past 10 years. Upon moving from Toronto to NYC in the summer of 2007 to take on a permanent role at one of the large foreign banks, I had no idea how complex the cross boarder tax filing process was going to be for the next several years. My employer used the services of one of the top 5 tax firms to file my taxes the first year after I moved. But I was on my own after that. I was referred to Protax by a friend who moved to the US just a year earlier. Working with Protax over the years to address the cross boarder and dual tax filing has been a blessing. The Protax team's detailed knowledge of the tax laws in Canada and the US, their timeliness in addressing every matter, their attention to detail, and their professionalism is top quality. I stand behind every word I say here considering I have worked with them for 10 years and I highly recommend them especially when cross border tax matters are involved.
