Appalling communication and transparency, change things to suit them without consultation and to top it off completely unhelpful. They are more interested in building what they want than what you want, so unless you're an experienced builder to pick up on things they've changed without telling you don't bother.

They made mistakes and then executive decisions on our behalf that would have completely ruined our build. Took six months of fighting to prove they'd made a big mistake, absolutely no apology was made.

Lots of hidden costs and forced upgrades that no other house in the neighbourhood was forced to do.

Managing Director is not contactable, doesn't matter how bad things get staff won't let you speak to him.

At handover I was asked if I wanted to complete an online review for a $200 VISA gift card. I completed my 1 star review while I waited and handed the computer back to the girl who saw the rating and proceeded to tell me she could only give me the card if the review was 3 star or higher and would I reconsider my review to a 3 star so she could give me the card. When I said no the review was cancelled and was told my review couldn't be submit it.

Do not waste your time and hard earned money on this company, this house will forever be a reminder of the worst two years of our life.

Build took 11 months from footings poured to handover.
Some structural issues identified during the build (missing beam on first floor balcony), however these were addressed by the builder once identified by our building inspector.
Now we have a final build, we are happy with the home, and with the finishes.

Little brief

It took them more than two months to respond to my email. Which they have replied after my multiple calls and never returned my call or messaged in between after my last email.

I am sorry to say I have never dealed with such a unprofessional company.
I am happy I am not building with these guys.

Big scam, stay away - lost money initial signup, you have to deal with multiple persons with no credibility. Big waste of time and money. I am lucky not building with them after all this.

After singing contract they have back steeped and start negotiating with me.
I would never suggest anyone to deal with you guys.

I wanted to find a builder who would build my investment property which is a small 2 bedroom unit. Since I got all the plans approved and ready build it was a easy project for any company. I have met the sales consultant in August and now it has passed 6 months and still they have not started construction.
Worst part is their poor communication and bad customer service. Most of my emails regarding the construction have not been answered or delayed. When I even call the sales person, she never picks up my call or reply my texts.
At the start they were after me to get the initial deposit then that energy dries out.
They will increase the contract amount stating many constraints yet they have not come back to me with a breakdown of the extra charges.
I have been patiently waiting them to reply my email for weeks and cannot depend on this builder.
Since they figured out this project and customer is trouble, they have asked me to find a new builder by telling me the total contract will go up in 25k.
As I have invested so much time with them, I actually wanted to go ahead with them, though their terrible customer service making me to choose different.
So please do not select this builder, they will make your life hell, and waste your time and money.

Affordable Family homes and Rendition Group (Different names - Same ABN) are real Cheaters - don't give them single peny as deposit

Absolutely unprofessional and don't know what they are doing

Our story is very long and been through more than year to chase with $1000 deposit. We visited Affordable Family homes in Wollert in 2017. We saw rude lady [name removed] and she said very good things about the their business and showed very cheap prices. We were not experienced and we agreed to pay refundable $1000 deposit without any Invoice/ Receipt at that time to obtain a Quote. We have been told that we get the receipt in 2-3 days. We never received any thing from them as proof.

After 1 week, we Contacted sales lady [name removed] @ Wollert display home, we have been asked to contact Adelaide office. There is only one admin there- [Name Removed]. She is one of the biggest liar in the business. She asked for proof for REFUNDABLE deposit. They can not offer refund because No Invoice been issued. How is it fair to pay $1000 just to get 3 page QUOTE which does not offer any drawings. We went to Werribe Display home to chase another sales lady and she told that she will fix up. After 3 weeks, She wrote an email back the NO REFUND will be issued.

Currently, going through Consumer Affairs and VBA to get our hard work Money earned stolen by this thiefs.

We have discovered that this business has SSL (secure sockets layer), which means that this business handles your data, such as personal information or credit card details, with secure connection. We discovered that the domain for this business is relitevely new, which means that it could be a start-up business that does not yet have a huge amount of customers.
