Our month long holiday to Australia, Singapore, and Hong Kong was excellent. We loved visiting and getting to know these great destinations. Distant Journeys had organised our trip very well and it ran smoothly from start to finish. All connections were good and we had no problem in any of the three countries we visited. The guides in the various places were very professional and could not be faulted. The only criticism was the size of our group which as 45 people, some quite elderly and somewhat disabled, was far too large. A lot of time was wasted in getting on and off coaches to visit various sights. This was unfortunate and not the fault of the people but of the company who over filled the tour. Half the number would have been ideal, but less profitable for the tour operators. In all other respects the staff at the UK office were excellent and went out of their way to be more helpful.

The Wonders of Australia Tour was the most amazing 22 day experience. I enjoyed every single day. There was such a variety of experiences on offer, with free days to chill, go on Distant Journey trips or do your own thing. Jenni, the tour guide in Australia, was knowledgeable, helpful and fun - the organisation & information she provided for each section of the tour was excellent (as was the information provided by Distant Journeys prior to leaving UK).
I was the only lone traveller in the group, but that was not a problem for me, as everyone was very friendly.
The Singapore tour guide, Desmond, was also very good & provided helpful suggestions for food & entertainment during the 2 days in Singapore.

Very favourably impressed with the efficient and professional manner in which our holiday was organised from start to finish, Good quality hotel accommodation provided especially at start of main Tour in Christchurch and finish in Sydney where our room view over Sydney Bay was a fantastic and memorable finale to our main tour .

Transport and Tour Managers Robin & Jenny were excellent. The same efficient management and good accommodation can also be credited to our short 'Add On' stays in Singapore & Bali.
We must admit that initially we were very wary re. the integrity of your 'Travel Company' as we had never heard of your existence before.- glad to say that our 'caution' was eventually deemed to be totally unnecessary and unfounded. .

The initial BIG attractions for us to book with 'Distant Journeys' was your Holiday VALUE FOR MONEY and HOLIDAY ITINARIES compared with similar holidays offered by other larger well known and established Travel Companies such as Cosmos etc.

Needless to say that my wife and I ended up as a couple of very 'HAPPY CUSTOMERS' and will be highly recommending your Company to our acquaintances now and in the future.

Finally we wish 'Distant Journeys' and it's Management Staff every success and would not hesitate to avail ourselves of your services in the future. Good Luck and thank you all for a fantastic Holiday professionally managed and at a very COMPETITIVE PRICE. .

Out trip was well organised from the meet and greet at the airport in Singapore through to Sydney. I would have stayed the additional 2 days at the end of the holiday had i KNOWN THE FLIGHT HOME WOULD HAVE BEEN SO LONG. This should be highlighted in your future brochures.

The UK office is efficient, responding to emails same day. They also undertook a pre and post holiday call, checking everything was fine. Finally they were efficient in booking additional trips.

Good pre and post service The office in UK actually read the comment form that I completed in Sydney and listened to my further comment that an extra night in Ayers Rock would e preferable as the time we had there was very intense due to all that we did on arrival and early next morning The team at head office agreed with me

The Guide, James, was very professional and approachable. He handled the, to us, surprisingly large group of 41 people very well and sorted out problems quickly and expertly.

The organisation, scope of places and sights visited, expertise of the local guides and particularly the fantastic management and guidance by our overall tour leader, Angie Carpenter, made this tour of China a wonderful experience.
I would definitely use Distant Journeys again.

Very easy to book with excellent communication throughout the process of booking and going on trip and once trip over and home I have only one negative of the trip and that was at my stop over in Dubai the hotel was excellent but unfortunately it was surrounded by extensive building site although we had a shuttle bus to attractions etc I felt that it was too remote .

Chris Hern the driver guide was exceptional. He kept us entertained with his knowledge of history geography and current affairs with a wonderful dry sense of humour. He also helped ensured everyone got on the tours they wanted and looked after medical issues and any other problems.
He made our holiday and I know all 43 on the coach felt the same way.

This is our 2nd Distant Journeys trip and it was as well organised as the first. This time we went to New Zealand and what our coach captain, Ken Johns, didn’t know about his country probably wasn’t worth knowing. The whole experience from the booking to the travelling was well managed. We would definitely recommend Distant Journeys and will be travelling with them again in the future.

After using escorted holidays before we found Distant Journey’s last year and had a first rate service from start to finish on a month holiday in Australia. It was so good we have just used them again for a three week holiday in South Africa which was also just as good. Nothing is left to chance.

Hi ,on a whole we have a fantastic experience but if you won't to dig down to nitty gritty let's do it , long coach trip with air con turned up high with toilet stops 3 or 4 hours apart not easy to keep yourself hydrated then when you are able to get off the cold coach the hot air hits you hard when your a bit older , I think we had 2 lunches on the on the coach ,not very nice just some bits and pieces left over from breakfast, but I do understand that is the best way to get around India, some of the hotels were a little remote so you were unable to leave the hotels and look around on your own , yes you could get a cab/tuk tuk but were are you going to go ? so the hotels have got you were that want you average cost of dinner in the hotels £ 60 to 80 with a glass of wine and a beer and I understand that were good hotels so what do you expect , and the only chance we had to relax were in Delhi on the last day in India but we were unable to use the outside space available because there was an India wedding going on , so on to Dubai barring in mind no extra flights were needed it was very over priced at £1000 I could book the same hotel with return flights and 7 nights for £ 1300 and again the only chance to relax and there was building work going on next to our hotel and I also understand that it was clearly priced before we booked but I will look closely if there is a next time sorry but you did ask Mr b colquhoun
