Eastwood homes/Dion Matheney cancelled my contract after 7 months with them already being 5 months late on the build. Their reason was that we are not happy with them, even though we elected to continue the build when given the option to back out with a full refund. The contract stipulates that the seller can cancel if there is a unresolved dispute, however, there was no dispute, much less an unresolved dispute. All calls/emails to Eastwood homes have gone unanswered and I have submitted a BBB complaint against them. In my opinion the true reason for cancellation, is because they can sell my home for far more than contract stipulates. Sad to say, my review of other complaints, indicate that they have done this to other buyers.

I love all the staff and the floor plan. What disappoints me is that I have to seal the granite and the grout and paint the garage. All of the houses that I bought had all three finished. The grout as sealed by the tile persons. The granite was sealed by the installer. And the painters sprayed the garage interior. Why am I paying to "finish" work? Other than that It's been great.

If you are a detail oriented person, Eastwood Homes may not be for you. I made the unfortunate mistake of purchasing a townhome during the 1st phase of a new community in the Charlotte area. This unit has issues that are not normal, which many of the other newer units did not have. The vendors constantly block access to my property and neither the onsite agents nor the HOA will fight for your right to quiet enjoyment. And honestly, I bought a home to be left alone!. Eastwood Homes is not a bad builder. I have definitely seen worse. But my experience so far hasnt been great. My advice to you, DO NOT BUY EASTWOOD IN THE FIRST PHASE. They make mistakes that they will not fix. And they will use access to your property while completing construction.

Many of the features in our new home are nice but problems have come to light since we moved in 3 months ago. We have been unable to get either the builder or Eastwood to take care of anything! They all say they will handle the problem and we never hear from anyone. We have a few windows that aren't square so blinds won't fit. The builder did address that problem, we were told that unless you buy a million dollar Eastwood Home that you can't expect square windows. Those were his exact words! Other issues to our 3 month old home are cracked concrete in the garage and patio, uneven drywall, uneven tile in the master bath shower that doesn't drain so we get mold, leaky outdoor faucets, lack of installation in the attack, short somewhere in the wiring in the hall and front bedrooms (electric company told us the breaker would stop a fire and never showed up to do anything), problem with drain in master shower. I'm sure I'm leaving things out. We thought Eastwood was a good builder and they talked a great game until we closed when they disappeared.

Eastwood homes is very unprofessional, specifically the Charleston area Market Manager, Dion Matheney. I would not recommend purchasing a home from this company, as one requires professionalism when purchasing a home.

I love my new Eastwood home, couldn't be happier. The building supervisor in my community has taken care of anything and everything that I needed in settling in my new home, thank you Eastwood homes!

I have been living in my home for a oil over two years. About three or four months in we had a leak behind our microwave on two separate occasions. Came out and supposedly fixed it, here it is May 20, 2020 and it’s raining in my part NC. Behind the microwave is saturated which is also affecting the paint where I was hoping to put backsplash. This tells me the issue never gotten fixed as this is the third time. The tape is peeling is the cracks of the walls, in the ceiling, etc. This is a nightmare! Two years in. We are having lawn issues as we have two types of grass, the front is Bermuda and the back is Fescue. The back had rocks in the back, it was not aerated and the grass grew horrible. Eastwood looks nice but buyers beware the work is not worth the money!

My husband and I started looking at Eastwood home sense 2012 because he wanted to retire to NC unfortunately he was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer and past away before his dream came true. Thanks to Eastwood home i was avail to honor my husband dream. So i dedicate this home to my husband US marine Jose L Madero.

From our very first encounter with our sales associate Tiffany, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. That never changed. We were impressed with quality and attention to detail for the price-point. The construction supervisor, Wayne, was informative and thorough. The design consultant, Anna, was helpful and reassuring in a somewhat overwhelming process. From the signing of the contract, the home was built in a little less than 5 months. We had a tight and rather firm target-date and it was met, even with our very cold and wet winter season. Tiffany sent pictures every 7-10 days showing the progress of the build. We really rarely went on site as there was little need. We're in our house now. It's beautiful and feels solid. We are very happy with our choice of builder and would recommend a hundred times over!

From the beginning, Erin and Justin were extremely helpful, professional and went out of their way to make sure any questions I had were answered and that I was as satisfied as I could be. I would recommend, not just those two but, Eastwood to anyone looking for a new home.

Great experience from the minute I walked into the model home looking for a new Home, through the closing process and finally moving in. Eastwood Homes (Dave my builder and Michelle my realtor), have always returned either my phone calls or text within minutes of sending them. Great response to any little issue I’ve had. This is my sixth home purchase and by far the best customer service yet!!

We were originally interested in the Bluestone community in Clemmons, but the day we visited the model home, the associate was not working. We visited the Bermuda Run community only to get some information about Bluestone, but as soon as we drove into the neighborhood we knew it was home. This is where we met Debi Frazier. She was personable, knowledgeable, caring, attentive, and had excellent follow up skills. I love how eastwood gets the buyer involved throughout the process. I have built a new home before but this was 1000% better and more customer focused. We were so thrilled we have referred friends who wound up purchasing in Kinderton as well. We have already made some good personal touches to the home and have many more on the list !

Good experience for a first time home buyer.

After being promoted last year I started hunting for my first home and was becoming quickly disappointed in the offerings around the city in my price range. I finally found something I liked and went to visit the community only to leave more disappointed than when I arrived. I confided in a coworker/friend and she persuaded me to go house hunting with her. After a day of roaming I remembered that I had once looked at an Eastwood home and had been impressed with finishings. We ended up meeting Kenya Walker at a site in north Charlotte. She enthusiastically encouraged me to consider buying a home and suggested a new community near my job called Savannah Townhomes. There was no model and similar neighborhoods... only a few virtual tours. Days later, determined, nervous, and excited at the prospect of buying my first home, I contacted Amanda Hayzlett and arranged to meet her at the models that were literally just concrete slab and framing. Without any of the finishings or staging in place, I made a big decision to take a leap of faith into making the purchase. Months later and after a few delays, I’m finally in my home and I could not be more happy with the result. Amanda, James, and Kenya the builder were INCREDIBLE to work with! My process was smooth and they kept me informed of all updates and delays. I’ve heard horror stories from friends about purchasing a home and I’m so grateful that my experience was the complete opposite. I’m blessed to be in a home that I LOVE and that meets my needs so well. My only minor complaint is that the driveway is a bit snug and because of the size of my car, I often take a step into my neighbor’s lawn. But that’s a very small inconvenience when I have so much to be happy for. Thank you Eastwood for your amazing staff and building team!
