After years of being threatened and harassed by CRA, even though we were paying regular monthly payments and increased at source tax deductions, we were still being threatened with the freezing of bank accounts, garnishee wages and forcing the sale of assets, we knew we had to do something to decrease the stress level in our home. When I got a call from the CRA in 2015 asking me questions about my finances and my wife’s line of credit, I thought this was a scam. It was real and it scared me to death. She told me they were coming over to my house in a week to conduct a 4 yr audit of my business and was very persistent.
