I had to write a review on Phil Garynov, one of the Destination Specialists at Firebird Tours. Phil is such an asset to his profession.
I have been traveling internationally for the past 35+ years and have never had the pleasure of working with a person so committed to fulfilling your dreams and expectations. It is not just a job to Phil - He really cares about your needs. He truly listens to you and takes your wish list to create a phenomenal trip tailored specifically for you. Phil takes all of the worry out of your planning and does a superb job detailing every step of your journey. Phil was able to create a complete itinerary for us to go to Italy with less than 2 weeks notice. He had every mode of transportation, tickets for entry to all of the spectacular places we wanted to visit, hotels, pick ups, absolutely everything from the moment we landed on the plane to have a stress free holiday. Even better- he is so easy to reach for communication and responded promptly to all calls and emails.
More importantly- he is a wealth of knowledge to guide you properly.

Firebird arranged my July 2019 trip to Russia as well as a trip to Russia in 2018. I really appreciated their personal attention to my most recent trip and felt completely taken care of while in Russia. I was met at the Moscow airport, taken to my Moscow hotel, picked up there and taken to the Volga Dream and then picked up in St Petersburg and taken to the airport. Loved the Moscow hotel they had booked for me. I really recommend Firebird and plan to use them for my trans-Siberia railway trip in the future.

Firebird Tours and their travel specialist Diana did a great job in setting up our trip to Switzerland! Our trip was customized to meet our desire to visit Brienz in addition to Zurich and Lucerne. Our hotels and their locations were perfect. In Zurich we stayed at Hotel St. Gotthard and in Brienz we stayed at Hotel Brienzerburli. The two guides we had for different tours were very informative and gave us great tours. We were able to see a very beautiful part of Switzerland thanks to Firebird Tours! Kathryn N.

We absolutely loved our Firebird Best of Spain tour from Madrid, through Andalusia and ending in Barcelona. Everything worked seamlessly, the tour guides in each city were professional for the most part, the hotels were top notch, the transfers were always on-time, the transportation between cities via high-speed trains were 1st class. Firebird did a great job of coordinating our flight connections and transfers from the US to Madrid and from Barcelona back to the US. The tours themselves were absolutely wonderful and well-planned. We never had to wait in long lines to get into important sites as our entry tickets and tour times were reserved ahead of time. Our guides were well-informed and highly professional and could answer any and all questions we might have. Firebird does a great job of communicating with their clients and providing detailed tour information well in advance of our trip. This was greatly appreciated.

We booked a tour for my wife and myself with Firebird Tours for a 10 day Scandinavia tour. Their website did a great job preparing us and providing information on the itinerary for this trip. They booked some of the nicest hotels we have been in and the locations of each hotel were excellent. The transportation was great and the tour guides they used were all local, knowledgable, and flexible. We would highly recommend them. You can't find them on TripAdvisor, so you have to go to Trustpilot or google search them. They are based in Miami and in Europe.

When my older sister, daughter, and I decided we wanted to revisit Italy and touch base with our cousins in Morolo, Frosinone, I reached out to several tour companies. I wanted a buffet of opportunities, and I didn't want to be overwhelmed with decisions. Our list of needs included experiencing a wine tasting, visiting a vineyard, shopping at a typical fresh food market, dipping our toes in the sea, and visiting our relatives. We also needed easy terrain for walking and personal drivers. All within the budget we allotted. Firebird Tours satisfied all our needs and requests -- and then some. A tour of the popes' summer residence Castel Gandolfo, a visit to Nemi - known for its strawberries -, and pasta cooking class at Local Aromas, plus a stay in Sorrento and boat tour to Capri were included in the tour. Our guides and drivers engaged us in their knowledge of the region and offered assistance in finding out-of-the-way restaurants that appeal to locals. The choice of hotels Firebird arranged was excellent. Our first night, we missed connections with our wine-tasting guide, but Firebird got on the situation immediately and rescheduled the event for another evening. We felt safe, comfortable, and well cared for throughout the 9-day personalized tour. I recommend Firebird Tours.

We traveled with Firebird Tours for the first time this summer, to the Scandinavian Capitals and Russia. We were delighted, as Firebird provided us exactly what we wanted - support before our trip, precise planning for hotels and transportation and orientation tours in each city with fab guides - and we had plenty of time on our own to spend afternoons doing our own thing, and dining wherever we chose. It would have been labor intensive for us to orchestrate this whirlwind adventure on our own - so we left it to Firebird, will recommend this company to our friends, and will use them again. This was a private tour with stops in Milan, Bologna, Florence and Rome. Drivers were arranged for pick up at airport and train stops. Guides were arranged for city tours in each of the cities. Drivers were on time and identifiable at each location. Drivers were professional and competent. Each of the guides were knowledgeable not only about the attractions/exhibits but had educational backgrounds (history/art history) which added to the tours. They also contributed personal insights and provided suggestions for secondary interests. All hotels provided very good service and were helpful with info. Staff were pleasant. This was another very successful/enjoyable tour.

I used Firebird for a recent trip to Iceland, Norway and Denmark. Firebird exceeded my expectations throughout the trip. Our guides, drivers, activities and hotels were all excellent. They handled all our logistics and transportation and made the trip stress free and enjoyable. I HIGHLY recommend them.

We provided Firebird with an overview of the locations our group of nine people would like to visit in Portugal and Spain. They made arrangements that fit our schedule and desires. We had very good quality 4 star hotels located in the midst of the cities visited. The guides arranged to show us around were knowledgeable, proud of their cities and communicated in clear manner. More importantly, the guides were attuned to the pace and desires of the group, so we did not feel rushed or overly strained. Firebird arranged for pre-purchase of the necessary entrance tickets, as well as the train tickets for the two train trips we needed to make. The bus travel was on modern, air conditioned, comfortable vehicles with very competent drivers. We appreciated the guides escorting us to the train stations and the airports. We felt very well taken care of.

I have personally arranged trips with Firebird in Italy and France and my clients raved about everything: the hotels, the private and small group tours and the personalized transportation. I received emails both times during the trips telling me how wonderful everything was. Usually you only hear when things go wrong. You can book with confidence with Firebird.

Firebird Tours prepared an excellent itinerary for our trip to Sweden, Norway and Denmark. The hotels, transfers and tours were great. No worries on our part with reservations, changes or updates. I would definitely use their services again

Firebird led us, my wife and me, safely through a 5-week tour of Russia and Mongolia. We are still in awe with what we saw—and what we learned. We visited St. Petersburg, Moscow, their environs, including the Golden Ring, and then stepped aboard a comfortable train that took across the vastness of Russia and Mongolia to Vladivostok. EVERY city and place we visited was as FASCINATING—and sometimes MORE fascinating—than we expected. All of our guides were friendly and VERY informative. The information they provided greatly increased our appreciation for everything we saw. Every guide went out of their way to ensure we had a great experience. And every guide gave us a frank and honest appraisal of the things we saw. Firebird also led us smoothly through Russia’s intricate visa process. I would HIGHLY recommend Firebird to anyone interested in visiting Russia and Mongolia—and after our incredible Firebird-led trip, I must say that everyone SHOULD be interested in seeing both countries with Firebird.

My daughter and I have just returned to Australia from a Grand small group Tour of Italy with Firebird Tours. It surpassed all our expectations and we can't speak highly enough of the team that was behind the planning, organising and implementing of such a wonderful trip. It was stress free, the drivers and guides were friendly, informative and punctual. The itinerary covered every detail, well balanced and stream lined. It just all worked so smoothly from first contact to the tour itself. Thank you to all the Firebird team for the trip of a lifetime!

Fantastic tour "Winter Norway/Finland." Guides were prompt, knowledgeable and fun! Hotels were conveniently located and very nice. Enjoyed the Hurtigruten ship experience..great food choices overall. I'd prefer to be able to speak with an agent vice all email.. it they were mostly prompt. I'd recommend Firebird.
