McCarthy Homes

Built a 4 bedroom home with McCarthy. All started very well, design and selection process were good. The Client Liason people seemed to be put in place to simply obstruct even the simplest of requests. They changed our site foreman, failed to rectify issues their own inspections identified. My biggest issue came when they started substituting lower grade materials than the ones we had selected, they pointed a clause in the contract on "material Substitution" and dismissed us. This didn't happen just once it was numerous times and they never told us, just relied on us not noticing.
Would never use them again.

We have been in our home now since December 2013 and couldn't be happier. We were impressed from the beginning when we first spoke to the sales consultant who is a builder, and couldn't have been more helpful. He could answer our questions about design ect directly without having to refer to another department and we found this very reassuring. The positive experience continued with the site visits of the Director / Owner who was also extremely helpful and reassuring about any concerns we had about drainage ect before laying the slab. The admin staff were all excellent and easy to deal with. We were given a contact who dealt with and followed through any questions or changes we needed to make. What a fantastic job she did!!The design centre was great and made the overwhelming process of choosing everything a whole lot easier. The whole build was pretty stress free, only a few minor changes and these were dealt with quickly and with a minimum of fuss. Everything was finished on time, and any minor problems we had were fixed very quickly. We are very happy with our new home and would highly recommend McCarthy Homes. It is a highly professional company but also has a very personal feel to it. Great people and great homes!!
