I was unable to find my extras on line, and had some queries about room aspect and location, so decided to do continue my booking by phone
The assistant who answered my call was not able to answer my queries, and put me on hold for 5 minutes for each question. After 20 mins I ended the call and phoned back later to get another assistant. Eventually booked, but not as good as usual

Slight hold on telephone before call answered by Zoe, she went through booking and compulsory terms and conditions with humour and a smile.
Nice to talk to a human rather than a computer.

As a first-time customer of Neilson (booking a one-week ski trip to Andorra) I was totally impressed by the quality of phone assistance, including especially the knowledge and friendliness of the staff (had been skiing in Andorra herself). The website was also well above average for a booking site of this kind. Incidentally my parallel experience with MPI (for travel insurance) was also excellent.

Excellent service however gave 4 stars as our normal holiday has gone up £3,000 !!!

This will be our first trip with Neilson Active Holidays. So far very impressed with the customer service. Staff were very knowledgeable and it's always good to know what type of room has been allocated prior to arrival.

Great shame about 10/11 days taking all the spots for 2 week-ers. We’d planned to go to Croatia while in Neilson’s Sardinia last year. Go to book and already unavailable. Plus first phone conversation had me in a garden room and second one I was paying an extra £800 for garden.

I phoned because I had a few queries about two hotels in two different French ski resorts and the customer service representative, Danielle, was very helpful and obtained answers to all my questions. This enabled us to make a decision. which resulted in me phoning back shortly afterwards and making a booking.

I was having difficulties using a loyalty voucher online that Neilson had provided during a recent ski trip to book a summer beach club. A rang the call centre who frankly just wanted to get me off the phone, as it was nearly closing time. They gave me incorrect and misleading information which resulted in me be financially at a loss.

Have been with Neilson numerous times over the years and they have always been efficient, caring and professional. Reassuring to be with such a trustworthy company.

Having spent 2-3 hours online looking at various options of resorts, I tried to book, filled in all the details and hit pay button, for nothing to happen at all, no confirmation, no error. I rang after half an hour to see if the booking had gone through to then be told the flights weren’t available and we’d have to go from our 3rd choice airport at extra cost. The quote was emailed through showing flights available from the 2nd choice airport which was confirmed available when I rang through and paid the deposit

We have been holidaying with Neilson for well over a decade, both Winter and Summer holidays. Booking online was easy, would like the all the Flight information to be on one page to save time at the booking as i like early flights to and from the resort.

Based on our booking experience this time, if we had not previously enjoyed our holidays with Neilson, we would have abandoned our attempt to book and gone to a competitor company.

On each occasion I called I had to wait a minimum of 5-6 minutes for the call to be answered - this is an absolutely inexcusable level of service for a sales operation. On two of these occasions, my call was also cut off for unknown, presumably technical, reasons.

Neilson's email service for sending quotes for the options we had discussed was extremely slow - a matter of several hours to receive the confirmatory email. Again, this is unacceptable for a sales operation.

On my first call, I was left with the impression that the call handler was very inexperienced and/or poorly trained.

All in all, a very disappointing experience - we can only hope that the actual holiday proves better than the sales process, or we will definitely go elsewhere next time.

Over 20 minutes waiting on my cellphone for a Neilson representative to answer, also on receiving the email confirmation of my booking, I noticed that my very clear request for a sea. view room, was not included, I hah another 20 minute wait on my phone to amend the booking which also cost me another £300 (approximately) .

Friendly, personal and efficient service from Millie (Julie) who organised 1:1 childcare for our daughter, and booked us in to rooms that would be close to everything as she has mobility issues.

It took a while to get through, then I think the operator was quite new, it took 40 mins to book, she lacked some knowledge, but was polite and we got the result in the end.
