Prometour

I am disappointed that the trip was cancelled due to COVID-19, but am more than pleased with how Prometour compensated the school/parents. In discussions with the school Administration, they are also very impressed with Prometour as an organization.

We received a very fair return for parents due to the cancellation of our school trips. Prometour has been very easy to work with during this most difficult time. Maria and Andrea have been outstanding ambassadors of your company. We will be back.

My daughter's trip was canceled due to COVID, which was expected. We did not know a partial refund was issued on 4/13 until after the fact and during that time, we moved. Refund was sent to old address. I notified customer service (a certain but was told I could not name them in this review) at Prometour of the new address and have been going round and round with her and her (supervisor who is extremely rude and unprofessional). Again, I was asked to edit my review so names are not included. I was told a request to stop payment on the original check was sent to their accounting dept and that a new check would be issued. As of today 5/7/2020, I have no verification that a new check was mailed to our correct address. My emails are not being returned.

Disclaimer that my group did not get to experience our trip to Paris and Rome in 2020. Obviously. However, working with Prometour has convinced me that they are an amazing choice for travel abroad. I did a lot of research before picking a company and selected Prometour because they were the only affordable option which had fully customizable, private tours and booked central hotels. We got absolutely everything we wanted from catacombs to gladiator school to cooking class to a Pompeii day trip. The program and price were enough to get 30 Latin and French students to sign up. Throughout the whole process, Prometour was extremely responsive. Any communication from either myself or parents was promptly returned. How they handled our inevitable cancellation will definitely make me return. Colleagues using other companies reported families losing a sizable chunk of their payments or only getting credits for future travel. We cancelled in mid-March for a June trip. Families have been able to recoup the gross majority of that money. As I struggled with when/if to cancel, Prometour was fully transparent. Within six weeks of our group cancellation, money had been dispersed. Given how many groups must have been cancelling in that timeframe, this is very impressive.

My son had a great time on the trip. From the tours to the food.

I would rate a negative star if it was possible. My tour group was scheduled for a Spain/Portugal trip in late April. Obviously, that couldn't happen because of the Coronavirus and closed borders. Was Prometour willing to work with us? NO! They basically threatened us that if a cancellation wasn't sent in be March 13, they would keep 100% of our money. As it is, they kept 50% with no other options offered - postponement, nothing. They are absolutely despicable!

We had a great experience! The Dog Sledding place was the best! The Huskies were taken great care of and the place was very clean and the staff very professional. Valcartier and the Winter Carnaval were amazing, Toboggan ride was fun! The music performance at the Sugar Shack by the father and son team, Richard and Eric Drouin, was truly rocking and very enjoyable, the friendliness and hospitality of the Staff at the Sugar Shack needs to be applauded. Our Tour Director, Sebastien Billy and our Driver and Navigator Nick, both, were awesome, great to work with and guided our group well, taking into account the various interests and time.
Also, the servers at all the restaurants were great and worked with us to accommodate any diet restrictions. Thanks for the well-organized trip!

I had an amazing time. The activities were fun and educational for High School students. Our tour guide Chantal was the best! She is very knowledgeable and sweet.

Our trip was delayed due to weather but Prometour adjusted our schedule to ensure we could attend all scheduled activities originally planned.

This was my third time with Prometour and have never been disappointed.

I thought that the trip was really fun! Most of the activities were really fun and worth while, although there were a few that we somewhat of a repeat. I know that as a student, and a observing other students we all enjoyed doing things outside, such as the winter carnival, dog sledding, going to a fishing village, going to the sugar shack and taking in the beauty of Montreal and Quebec. I thought that it was really fun to have free time to shop and adventure throughout the cities. This was really fun and provided everyone with different fun and interesting experiences! In all I really, really enjoyed this trip! It was really fun, safe and adventurous!!!

This was our 7th trip with Prométour, and as always we enjoyed a customized itinerary packed with unforgettable educational experiences that for many of our students were transformative. Activities such as ice-skating, dogsledding, curling, tubing, sugar shacking and visiting the Winter Carnaval were mixed with guided tours, and free time that encouraged our students to explore the history and culture of Québec. Museum guides and historical interpreters, the host and musicians at the sugar shack, the curling instructors, students they met at our school visit, and especially our incredible guide Frédéric Parent, not only made our students feel welcome, but invited them to feel Québecois for a while. Culture even came with the meals. I'm pretty sure that poutine au canard is not widely available stateside Finally, Prométour's whole package delivered on what students signed up for the most, the chance to practice their French by being as immersed as their level (we had level 1 through AP students along) would allow. Our students of course want to get back to Montréal and Québec, but until then, they are determined to continue in French. We can't image traveling to Québec with any other student tour agency but Prométour.

My son is RAVING about his recent trip to Canada. He especially loved his tour guide Monsieur Simone (Sp?) He was able to see many sights and experiences that he wouldn't have had he traveled independently. They had just enough free time and enough fun and educational activities that everyone seemed happy with the trip.

This tour kept the middle school students engaged and entertained. The restaurants were excellent and the hotel was also better than expected. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and was very much intuned with our needs and wants. Our bus driver and mostly the ride from NJ to there scored the lowest (unexpected 30-minute bus stop due to mechanical issue) but were still probably above average. I would definitely recommend and sign up again with the same company again.

My son had an awesome experience with their trip to Ottawa, Montreal and Quebec under the travel plan of Prometour. Also, I have requested a change of name for my son and they are very helpful in facilitating my request.
