After waiting for over 6 months to get our DA approved from council, we are finally ready to commence construction with Rawson. We have been through all pre construction phases from quote, contract, colour and selection process and now finally off to construction. We have been really well communicated with to date and in particular by Melissa who has simply been wonderful with her patience in our million questions as well as her proactive follow up along the way.

Just like any novice and first home hunter, we went to Homeworld at both Kellyville and Leppington.

After browsing through all the display homes and discussions with each of the builders there, we narrowed down to Rawson Homes to build our first home.

Ton at Leppington Homeworld was really helpful and helped us a lot in understanding the entire process and always made sure to address all our concerns. He was an excellent New Home Sales Consultant and never rushed on doing things which was a Key point for us to proceed ahead with him.

We discussed all our ideas and were quoted a price which was within our budget and then we asked for a Tender to be prepared.

Tender Presentation and Plan Presentation was arranged in a months time and then we stepped into the treacherous Pre-Construction Journey.

At first, we were scared as have heard a lot of horror stories regarding the Pre-Construction Stage not only with Rawson but with other builders.

We were assigned Rebecca Campbell as PCA and I can say without any doubt, she raised the bar with her customer service and made sure we were provided each and every update with the Pre-Construction phase

Today we hit a massive milestone & were handed over to construction. Without our PCA’s expert guidance, cheery assistance, determined support & professionalism we may not have got here. Our experience on this journey, dealing with Rebecca has been exemplary & she is a credit to Rawson Homes.
Pre-construction issues were addressed immediately & we were advised promptly on a course of action. She helped us out during the entire journey, communicated regularly & was always on the end of a phone or an email for us.

A big thank you from us, & we hope that management of the next stage into construction goes as well as it has so far.

We've been in our Rawson built-home for a year now. Being our first build (and living interstate at the time), we were nervous about the process, but are very happy we chose Rawson Homes (ACT) and would recommend them to anyone considering a new house build.

The sales process went smoothly, with Mal making valuable suggestions and advice on tweaking the floorplan to meet our needs. He was knowledgeable, realistic, honest and transparent; and we never felt under any sales pressure.

The selection process was overwhelming and tiring despite us being quite well prepared, but Fran's advice was excellent and she made it an enjoyable experience.

We encountered a few frustrations during the pre-construction phase; and felt the process could have been streamlined to allow the build to have started sooner. There were a few misunderstandings that led to delays in booking us in for key appointments, the process wasn't made clear enough, and there was unnecessary back and forth via email. In the end, it was nothing major - but there was room for improvement. E.g. I'd much prefer a quick phone conversation that is followed up with confirmation in email.. but it was hard to get hold of our Pre-construction administrator on the phone.

After about 6 months of pre-construction, our build finally started. We were very fortunate to be assigned Chris as our site supervisor; a young ambitious guy who has a wealth of building knowledge, a "can do" attitude that delivered on almost all of his promises. He communicated well, was always available when needed, and he worked damn hard. Construction wasn't without a few issues (I've never heard of a perfect build!), but Chris was able to rectify any issues promptly. We asked him to get us in by Easter, and he delivered; building the house in 6-7 months. He is absolutely a very valuable asset to Rawson Homes.

Warranty rectification has been a little slow (and now further delayed by Covid-19), but we only have a few minor issues and are happy to wait.

Overall - a very good experience. We'd definitely consider building with Rawson Homes again: excellent pricing with quality inclusions, a relatively smooth process, on budget, a quality build, and got us into our beautiful new home in just over a year from contract signing.

I am currently in the Pre-Construction Stage with Rawson Homes. After considerable research investigating many different builders and their designs, we found Rawson’s Balmoral 38 design to be the perfect fit for us. From the initial point of contact with Hennie at the display home to the Pre-Construction Stage of the building process where we’re currently at, our experience in dealing with the Rawson Homes team has been more than satisfactory. I had many queries along the way and we added quite a number of upgrades and variations to the plan so it ended up being quite a detailed and big job. Every single person in the team has been wonderful and extremely helpful. With mention of some names in particular: Dimitra Gindi’s attention to detail during the plan presentation was excellent; Lisa Bereyne’s high ethical standards in her customer focus was exemplary and Melissa Tallis’s effortless management and organization over the Pre-construction Stage has been outstanding. Melissa has an exceptional ability to truly engage well with her customer and is so pleasant to deal with. Her positive attitude of always being open to customer requests and doing her best to find a solution wherever possible is highly commendable. We would be more than happy to work with this team again. We are very excited about our Rawson’s Balmoral 38 home and look forward to the next stage of the build.

Our package was $60k discount, $20k off land (great), $20k off built (used to upgrade flooring and higher ceiling package) and $20k landscape voucher (fully used up standard package by landscaper) we purchased in Jul 2019.

Paid deposit - loan approval - land contract - built contract - tender presentation - land settlement - external , electrical, tile appointment, variations, Plans approved by Council, sign final plans and landscape - Rawsons estimation team approved - file to site supervisor - begin construction

Small hiccup when signing land contract and loan approval (lack co-ordination between legal and built department) (loan approval needing both land and built contract but built contract, Rawsons only issue after land contract is signed, plus there is due date on land contract for the discount to apply, got cooling off clause in land contract to solve this, previously no cooling off).

Overall pleasant experience from booking to pre-construction. From Sale person to pre-construction admin, we were guided through each process and all our questions answered, very helpful. Rawsons pointed out some variations in design plan that made sense (vanity height, same flooring on entry and laundry, external internal colour matching), and was practical for us, based on their experience, which we appreciate very much. They gave tips to prepare for each presentation and lots of homework to prepare. Pre-construction admin gave timely update and alerts on our next actions.

Excited that home is progressing to next stage, construction now. Hope for a good and smooth built.

We built with Rawson and being first home owners as well as first home builders you can imagine it being quite stressful! Chris, Carla, Julie and Julia were so helpful, professional, knowledgeable and patient. They made our experience so pleasurable and knew exactly what they were talking about! There were a few bumps in the road and some stressful phone calls had but they took our call and talked us through the complications that we could not grasp our head around and everything was as good as new! thank you again!

I would like to single out Fred Younes (warranty supervisor) for commendation. We experienced major water leakage through our roof and ceiling during recent heavy rainfalls. Fred reassured us in our distress and organised for repair works in a very timely manner. We can't thank him and his dedicated team enough. We are very happy with the quality of the repair works. Fred is an asset to Rawson Homes.

We had a really fantastic experience with Rawson, it can be confusing picking a builder and reading reviews at first because even the greatest builder also has had some terrible reviews.
It was overwhelming at first, but we loved the Huntley design, the gorgeous finishes in the Rawson homes, our sales consultant was fantastic and put us at ease, so we finally decided on Rawson.
We found the communication from the team was great from start to finish inc our site supervisor Mark ! Thanks Mark!
In terms of workmanship and quality could not be happier!
We built in Spring Farm and moved in March 2019.
We had a couple of issues post construction but any problems were sorted out with the team without problems. We had one emergency issue that was seen to the following day!
It is important to be realistic overall when building, this was my first build and I was prepared that we might run into some problems, however, I also had very clear ideas and was prepared going into all of our colour and selection appointments so in terms of design and as a result, everything turned out exactly as we wanted! We love our new home, visitors often comment on the quality and workmanship of our house. Anything that needed to be fixed, it was seen to and our home is perfect now! We did have a lot of upgrades but it was worth it and we didn't blow out from our estimated cost which was fantastic. We definitely recommend Rawson to anyone looking to build their dream home!

In pre construction stage at the moment, during pre construction stage there were couple of issues which were addressed by staff and Melissa professionally, during pre construction process all staff and particularly pre construction administrator Melissa was very helpful and made things very easy to understand. So far so good.

Rawson Homes is not a cheap option in the market, but we decided to choose it after a 3rd time visit in Homeworld. The showrooms in Homeworld are well chosen and meet many different customer needs. The service of the sales person Ethan was great, he helped on the drafts and made a standard plan larger, creating the 5th bedroom as well. The experience of color selection etc were also good, the consultants are professionally trained and advised on the best combinations. Chris is one of the best builders, he monitored the project well and kept updating me on a weekly basis. There are a few touch-ups to do after the walk-through, and are all done properly on handover, perfect work. Among the 3 builders I have used, Rawson Homes is the best choice if you weight heavily on quality.

Our new home (Huntley 31) built with Rawson Homes finished in March 2019 is now leaking in the garage during the heavy thunder storm. The colour bond on the roof does not have a seal, which leaves a hole on the roof and allows water to go through, is a design problem as the garage should be completely sealed. The garage cannot withstand a heavy thunder storm.

Rawson Homes declined the responsibility of garage leak and they told me the damages are not under new home warranty. They advised me to lodge a claim to my home insurance company.

Does it mean I will need to lodge a claim of leak damage to my home insurance company after every single heavy thunder storm in the future?

it was a lovely process from the beginning from the sales team now move to pre-construction team, the sales agent Rosa warm handover myself to the next team, then the person who is assisting me is Melissa from the Pre-construction team, due to I work in the finance industry, no experience in construction or building in the past, it can be difficult to understand what is going on with my choice of the selection externally and internally section of the new house, Melissa has assisting me through the whole process, explained all details and process what do I need to do next and even assisting me with some issues I'm facing with demolition company who is nothing to do with Rawson.
Amazing team work now I'm moving onto the exciting part of this process which is mid-construction part. I'm excited and very happy to say it was a smooth and easy process so far of the process.

We've just completed our Pre-Construction phase with Rawson, with Sheridda being our Pre-Construction Administrator for the most part after our initial PCA left the company.

Handover to Sheridda was seamless, and we couldn't thank her highly enough for her help. It's been a long journey pending all council and land development approvals (which is out of Rawson's control) and such, but Sheridda was always there to update us on the status of the applications, as well as being super accommodating with our requests and getting on top of any variations that were required, as well as recommendations also.

Sheridda also took the initiative to get in contact with our finance officers as well directly in order to bypass the middlemen (ie myself and my partner), in order to get our project from pre-construction to the build stage. Our loan officer even commented that they don't come across home builders that were as prepared as Sheridda with Rawson was, which is highly commended and lessened our involvement, which we highly appreciate.

We also want to extend our thanks to Lauren our internal colour and electric consultant and Alyson our external colours consultant for their help and patience as well. They were very accommodating in getting all the selections that we wanted, and we truly believe that we are on our way to build the house of our dreams.

So far, we can't fault our experience with Rawson, and we only wish that our positive experience continues through the build process.

We recently build a Rawson home (Seaview 36). From sales at Kellyville, to appointments at the Design Studio, Preconstruction and Construction, the team at Rawson went above and beyond to deliver a quality home. The Pre-construction Administrator, Design Studio Specialist(s), Site supervisor and Management Team all worked with us to deliver a superior home on schedule and more importantly to a high standard of quality. There were a few minor issues and these will be addressed in the following weeks. The Site Supervisor Steve, kept in contact with us regularly with updates on construction progress and followed up on questions and calls promptly. More importantly, we were impressed by the house that was delivered at handover and the Rawson Standard.

We built with Rawson recently and we were impressed with the service, speed and quality construction. Kane was our site manager and he had done a brilliant job with our house. He’s always quick to respond to our messages. We spotted some defects at inspection stage and were all sorted out before handover, ie. chipped window, bathtub tap too short, lights weren’t per our selection etc. All defects were fixed within a week time. Kane also managed to get considerable amount of progress during Xmas/NY holiday season, which helped us move in to our dream home even sooner!
David at Marsden Park was our sales consultant. He was amazing at following up our requests and drawing out plans to suit our need.

Cost was well within the budget and we are still in 3 months defects free period. There are some defects which is usual I guess and even after the handover, they called me to check if we have any issues.

I recently dealt with Rawson Homes to build a new house on land I had purchased. From the sales stage to completion, I have received excellent service from Rawson Homes.
I found that at sales stage, Rawson were transparent and clear with what is included and what is not, open to making changes I had requested and bring this in at the correct price point for me.
During the planning stage, Rawson continued to be open, clear and efficient. Every appointment I had ran on time and were extremely detailed.
From the commencement of build I received weekly updates on the progress, progress was as scheduled.
The final product matches exactly what I was sold, the finish is excellent and I found only two very minor defects with the build.
I built a very good relation with my site manager, Kane, and provided me with the confidence that Rawson were working to schedule.
