Kelly planned a last minute trip to Kenya that was simply perfect. We were astonished at every new experience.

The booking process itself was fairly easy and our appointed Scott Dunn representative was very friendly on the phone. She stuck within budget and was in constant communication throughout.
However, she offered little if any opinion on the hotels that we picked initially so we carried on and booked them having picked out of the brochure/online. The first hotel was lovely and given the 4* rating, it was exactly as we expected. Having recently got married in September, we told her we could go on holiday anytime in October or November and she suggested a fortnight which we said sounded fine. However, we didn't realise one of these weeks coincided with School Half Term holiday - having no children ourselves we were unaware of these dates. This meant that the second hotel we were staying at which was recommended for families and honeymoons in the brochure, was completely overrun with children when we arrived. When we booked, we were told it was family friendly (so were prepared for a few children to be around) but that it was also a good honeymoon destination plus we ideally wanted a golf course so we thought it ticked all boxes, but when we turned up, the hotel head of restaurants informed us during our first lunch that they hardly had any honeymooners stay so it was nice we were there - which ran alarm bells to us from the very get go. The hotel's main facilities were all incredibly close and on top of each other, so with children there is was loud and busy. The hotel itself was lovely but just not a honeymoon destination and especially given the fortnight Scott Dunn had suggested to us which was totally the wrong time of year to visit given our situation.
Despite this, when we phoned Scott Dunn to raise our concerns and disappointment, they couldn't have been more helpful to sort the situation. Within 20 minutes from speaking to someone in the office, we were phoned back by the Head of Islands who had already found us alternate accommodation in another hotel, and told us when could move asap as they would arrange the transfer too.The hotel we ended up moving to was absolutely amazing and just what we wanted from our honeymoon.
It wasn't ideal that we had a couple of pretty miserable days in the middle of the honeymoon. But I'm very grateful to Claire Horner for helping us get the holiday back on track so efficiently.

Annie Foote planned a trip for my husband and me to Zambia and South Africa. It was truly the trip of a lifetime and we have Annie to thank for her detailed planning and first-hand knowledge! Our safari experience was spectacular and we came home with the most amazing photos! She would absolutely be my go-to for another trip to Africa and I would happily use Scott Dunn for any international travel!

explorers club was excellent and our son had a great time - the ski instructor was especially good at getting a 3 year old up on skis for the first time and giving him confidence.
