We dealt with Danielle from Selective Asia and she put together a personalised itinerary for our family. When I wanted to tweak it slightly she was able to immediately. Any queries she answered!
Great paperwork before the holiday and I loved their app.
While we were on holiday the guides looked after us brilliantly. The local offices phoned to check we were happy. All our hotels were lovely.
I would very highly recommend.

Selective Asia have been excellent from day 1 in organising our trip to Sri Lanka (especially Aaron). We looked at 6 different tour operators and Aaron was by far and away the most helpful in putting together the itinerary for us. All questions were dealt with quickly, and with thoughtfulness for what we wanted, including quite a few changes along the way!

We had an amazing trip to Vietnam organized by Martin who listened to how we like to travel and our interests . Every aspect went smoothly . Excellent guides who were knowledgeable . We left understanding the history , culture , people and food of this beautiful country . Accommodations we excellent .

I have just returned from the most amazing two-week family holiday to Sri Lanka with my husband and two boys (age 12 and 13) organized by Aaron @Selective Asia. I can't fault the service we received while planning the trip - Aaron was quick to respond to all my queries and the process was pain-free compared with other trips I have planned. The holiday far exceeded our expectations. The choices of accommodation and suggested activities were perfect and the whole holiday ran like clockwork, with our driver/guide always ready at the right time to take us to the next venue. We absolutely loved it and I would definitely recommend Selective Asia to friends and family. We are already dreaming about where we can go next time.

Most helpful in arranging our trip to Myanmar and Thailand.
The guides used were extremely knowledgeable and experienced which made the trip all the more enjoyable.

We booked a holiday of a lifetime to Borneo, which was extremely well planned, accommodation was great and very much enjoyed it until the Malaysian government closed the country due to Covid and we had 24 hours to leave the country. SelectiveAsia were responsible for all travel while in Malaysia but I’d booked the flights to and from the country through BA. While Nick and his team were working at 1am in the morning to get us out the country, BA wouldn’t answer the phone and refused to get us home.

The SelectiveAsia team managed to get us from the middle of the borneo rainforest to KL and home within 24 hours, were constantly in communication throughout. While we were already very happy with the holiday, it is times like this when you realise why local travel agents are so important! Nick and his team were doing everything they could for us and while we were happy with the holiday before this event. We will now ensure every trip we make to Asia is with this company.

We were very aware that we were one of Selective Asia's first customers to India and we had very attentive service from the agents. We loved the holiday - highlight was the 2 nights on the houseboat on the Kerala backwaters. Our choice of hotel in Cochin was poor (no window in the bedroom, nowhere to sit and relax outside in the shade and not enough tables at breakfast which was also dull) and our 'free' day in Cochin with driver was a waste of time as we didn't know where to go. Our tour with a guide on the previous day had been excellent although a long day which might have been better to spread over 2 half days. However had we been in a superior hotel we could have enjoyed a relaxing day by the pool which would have been lovely.
We loved the Homestay and would have liked 3 nights there and also thoroughly enjoyed our stays at Munnar and Thekkady.
Our last 4 days at the beach were disappointing. It wasn't worth the 5 hour drive
to Niraamaya Retreats near Kovalam. Bedroom was nice but outside seats at the back overlooked a scruffy bit of garden and side view of staff quarter buildings. We had the seats moved to the front which was an improvement. The beach was nothing special and overlooked a large new container port being constructed which was also very noisy. This was also visible from the restaurant and pool area of the hotel. The sea was quite rough, shelving and currents so not great for swimming which was a shame. We would have much preferred to stay at a beach hotel closer to Cochin.

Will definitely use Selectice Asia again - we had a fantastic guided holiday - where nothing was too much trouble - great help both here in Uk and in Sri Lanka.

First "they", meaning Lionel, appeared to understand what I wanted and needed without all that much input from me! By this I mean the type of places/things I wanted to see and do (I am not a "Shop-till-I-drop" tourist but I do love markets!). He got the Price-level right - I don't stay at the Ritz, but I do like my comfort. The people who were my meeters/guides/drivers were knowledgeable, willing - a tad fussy but I soon discovered they had been told my age and were probably expecting someone who required more assistance! In other words they did their jobs extremely well - and that included driving the over-crowded, chaotic streets of Yangon and Mandalay with patience and caution. Then there was my "treat" - getting to Bagan by my own boat. A trip up-river with just the boatman and guide!

From first contact to the trip itself, first class service from anyone you make contact with. The itinerary is created together with you and hotel and activity selections being tailored exactly to our needs. As the specialist has visited the countries they are able to offer insight and tips for an even better experience. The partners in the countries are equally amazing making the whole adventure very special.

Our holiday to Vietnam was absolutely perfect, and it was all down to the organisation of Selective Asia and their knowledge and experience of Asia. I would definitely book with Selective Asia again, and would have no problem or hesitation in recommending them to friends, family or work colleagues.

We thoroughly enjoyed a most memorable trip to Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Thailand which far exceeded our expectations. It was the first time we had visited this region. Right from the first call to Selective Asia to express a potential interest in visiting this area, we received excellent professional advice and suggestions for our visit. We were sent sample itineraries to look at together with a selection of different hotels, all thoroughly vetted by the Selective Asia team. We were able to personalise our itinerary and talk it through with our principal contact.
Any queries were dealt with efficiently and promptly and we were totally satisfied with the service offered.
