I've recently returned from a trip through the Austrian Tyrol and Oberammergau. The tour was very good but a lot of added expense for optional guided excursions - you really need to take them to avail of the guide. (These cost a total of €230 per couple.) The big disappointment for us was that we paid Tailored Travel for Category 1 tickets for the Passion Play at Oberammergau but received Category 2 tickets on the day of the play - too late to do anything about it. We had opted for Category 1 when we booked the tour 5 years ago but still Tailored Travel were unable to deliver. What a disappointment to be seated near the back of a theatre of 4500 people! Whilst the extra money we had paid was subsequently refunded it was a big disappointment after such a long expectation of a good seat at the play. Tailored Travel were not interested in my feedback so be careful about what you are promised here!

I was one of the leaders of the Wimbledon National Trust Association's holiday to the Peak district. I was particularly impressed with the hotel - it was excellent for a group holiday with very comfortable rooms and good food. It's surroundings were not picturesque but that isn't so important when we spend so little time in the hotel.

The whole trip was very well organised and in particular our guide for the trip who we met in Bologna was outstanding. .Also the guide in Ravenna was also outstanding

I would have expected at least 75% of the published itinerary to have been made available, this was not the case.

Excellent brochure and booking forms backed up by good personal service from Michael, Louise and the whole team. As the group coordinator It was reassuring to be able to meet them when in London and speak about minor details on the phone.It all went smoothly.

Good organistion from the standard of the coach to the local guide but only complaint was that the hotel did not have a lift, just plenty of stairs, and taking a heavy case up to our room was not what I expected although the hotel will say there was help on offer. Wouldn't stay there again.

We were kept informed and a slight difference between the day of the week and the date was quickly corrected. The travel documents arrived in good time.

The holiday was spent in 2 hotels, both rated 4 star. The Leonardo was in no way a 4-star hotel: there was no room fridge, and the dinner menu was very poor....3 consecutive buffets and a statement that they could not cater for 16 a la carte diners.

Very well organised,we appreciated Wilf's guidance in particular,& Gary our coach driver was both efficient & helpful.Hotel was adequate,the only disappointment was the staff's refusal to allow us to inspect some of the lovely handbags in a display case.These were from a small local shop,called "The very nice handbag shop",I believe. I have been unable to track them down.I should appreciate contact details for them if you are in touch with the hotel.My own efforts were unsuccessful.

I was part of a coach holiday so did not book the holiday as this was done by the Group I belong to. I therefore had very little to do with Tailored Travel pre-travel.

I understand from the Committee member in charge of our holiday, that Tailored Travel kept on touch with her throughout our five day visit to Wales and was helpful to her with any enquiries. The visits we made over the five days were very well planned and the places we visited - castles, train journeys, gardens - we're excellent.

All went exceedingly well from Gatwick to Gatwick Hotel Transport and of course Paul. Good range of visits which kept us all fully occupied, fit both physically and mentally also entertained. Roll on next year

I have downgraded this holiday as I was not happy with the coach driver. He arrived just before 8 a.m. for the first pick up, meaning most people had been waiting for over 15 mins in the cold. Also he didn't appear in some instances where to park the coach, ie he would appear not to have done any homework. Just missed Tony from Hatton Travel. First stop a very cold house and not interesting enough to go back. Was very cross that our trip to the naval college was curtailored. Nice hotel with good food and service.
