WA Country Builders

We moved into our Country Builders Home 2 years ago and absolutely love it. Apart from the normal couple of small cracks around cornices which is, I understand, quite normal we have only had one problem which was with our front doors. This was fixed without delay with two brand new doors being fitted.
I have only just discovered this site hence the delay in putting on my review. I am actually shocked at reading some of the experiences of other people as we could not have asked for better. We built with the Busselton division so maybe other divisions are different.
We started with one of the standard homes and made so many changes over a period of time. We found the builder more than happy to accommodate our requests.
Our supervisor and the office was always contactable and responded quickly to queries. The quality of work was really good, especially the plastering and tiling and every trade we encountered on site was happy to discuss things with us.
I would definitely recommended the company if you wanted to build with a project builder.

What a blessing in disguise. From the first contact with Sue she has been so helpful in every way with me & the designing my home in Rapids Landing, Margaret River. The quick response with emails, phone calls, dealing with land sales office & changes to the home with the Draftsman have been amazing & a pleasure to deal with, it has given me piece of mind. Living in Perth at the moment & my 3rd home i have built, dealing with someone that knows the area very well, Sue has given me all the information I have needed to know, from site works information to the weather conditions for the layout of the home.
As I have seen so far in this company from the homes that are in building stage (as I have viewed in person), Dealings with Sue & meeting the very polite & helpful staff at the office in Busselton, I have felt there is a lot of pride in the company & the product.
From what I've seen from the trades, it is very high quality of work & the cleanliness of the site, the pride continues through, it is very reassuring.
So, if you are looking at a beautiful life style or, a life style change like myself, I would very highly recommend you head to the display home in Rapids Landing & see Sue, you will not regret it!
I would personally like to thank Sue for making this experience with the home & this stage of my life very pleasurable & I look forward to the next stage of the process.

This is the 4th house we have built with WA Country Builders and once again we are very happy. We were overseas for most of the build time so when we did get home we were happy to see that another quality job had been done. We were kept up to date via email if there were any queries along the way. The whole team from initial signup, prestart, trades and building supervisor are a well oiled machine and make the whole process of building a positive one. Our only gripe would be that they could be a bit more receptive and proactive with ideas that are outside their standard range of materials and plans. It is these minor changes that help to personalise a home and make it feel your own. In saying that, we do realise that they are a project home builder and variations from the standard must create a lot of extra work. At the end of the day we have a quality home with a few different features and it was a pleasure to deal with such a professional company that have a great team working for them. Well done guys.

I recently built a home on the golf course in duns borough lakes with WA country builders in busselton. The quality of the build was fantastic, the support from supervisors, tradesman and office staff was awesome, the project progressed smoothly and on time. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to my friends. I had a great all round experience and I'm now living comfortably in my sensational new house!

The guys at WACB have been sensational from day one. Having previously had mixed experiences with other builders we would absolutely build with WACB again and recommend them to anyone. The whole team is professional, courteous and personable, a combination of these attributes has made our new build a fantastic and stress free experience so far. We certainly expect to be more than happy with our new home once complete.

The team at WA country builders were very professional throughout the whole process from everyone we dealt with in the office to the tradesmen contracted for the job and most importantly our fantastic supervisor. Everyone was very helpful, cooperative and supportive during the build of our new home. We had a great experience are extremely satisfied and wouldn't hesitate recommending WA country builders to other people.

I’ve recently finished building my first and own home. I found the build very well organised and was completed earlier that estimated. Overall the workmanship is excellent, the brickwork especially impressive, only some minor finishing issues. The construction supervisor and contract team were efficient and very pleasant to deal with. Some small communication issues during the planning process but did not detract from the overall great experience of building with WA Country Builders. I would recommend them highly.

From our initial contact with the Sales Representative, right through to the final touches on the build; we have been very happy with the professionalism, patience and friendliness of all the Country Builders Busselton staff. The ideas, advice and attention to detail from our Pre-Start consultant was critical in designing a home that is functional and attractive, maximising both space and lifestyle features. Despite many customised additions to the basic plan, everything has gone smoothly, with any minor issues resolved during the course of the building process. I am very pleased with the quality of the overall build and fittings and the commitment of the Country Builders team to get the job done within timeframe and to a high standard of finish. We absolutely love our new home. Our new, purpose built, living space has enhanced our overall happiness as a family.

Well firstly I must say that I can't rate WACB overall, because every region uses different tradies, different supervisors etc. Our main problem from the beginning was finding a contractor to do the earthworks, once that hurdle was jumped things moved along albeit slower than we would have thought. There was a delay on the final plans too, council approval was may 5th, final plans received may 28th. Everything was ready to start by 10 June, but earthworker trouble meant that earthworks didn't commence until August 28. So taking all that into account I suppose it's reasonable that we're just about finished now (June 23rd) still waiting on hot water system commission, screens and wood heater installation. According to their calculations they're only 8 days over the 250 day schedule! Well workdays maybe, but overall it's been a long process. It seems a bit unfair considering we were lead to believe that it would be finished by end of December or early Jan!!!
But like I have been telling myself I would rather have a good job rather than a fast bodgy job. We have been pretty happy with the quality of work here, there has been no major stuff ups at all and any little things were generally rectified along the way. Upon PCI there was only some cosmetic things to fix up really.
Would I do it again, not sure since I never really set out to build in the first place, the ideal block of land just never happened to have a house on it! I think next time around my husband would be pushing them a lot more, we would have liked the process not to have taken so long, but I guess it's worse when you live in a shed next to the build and see so many days of no work being done when there could be! And in saying that, if we were to build again I would definitely be living in a house rahter than a shed during the process . . .now knowing how long it can all take. I guess I would build again if I had to and I don't have any major issues to say that I'd definitely not build with WACB, they would be considered but so would other building companies.
We built in SW WA, it is a shame that some of the really nice (and expensive) Rural Building Co designs can no longer be built in this region without much greater expense or losing the large window area (ie Rivergum Skillion). We didn't build that model but we really liked it (and couldn't afford it!) we built the Durack Heritage.
I give a rating of 3, medium because I believe it took longer than it should have, but I was happy with the overall process and quality of work otherwise.

We have now been in our house in Augusta just over 18 months and am extremely happy with our house. From the onset, we went through the rep, Sue from Margaret River who helped and guided us about our block and what house would best suit our needs as we also wanted to put a shed on the block. Whilst building we had Phil who answered our endless questions and was a great help to us all through the building process. Special thanks Phil who we now still keep in contact with when he is driving past. The staff at Busselton were always there to help us if we needed to contact them about anything. On the whole our experience with WA Country Builders was fantastic and I would not hesitate to build with them again.

We are currentlly building a house with WA Country Builders in Bridgetown and are only two months away from moving into our dream home. When we first sat down with the sales rep we only had a few ideas of what we wanted in our first home and very little knowledge on how it all worked and the variety of designs available. The sales rep was excellant with her knowledge and design expertise and was able to transform the design of two homes into one to not only meet our budget but deliever us an amazing house bigger and better than we imagined.

There was no limit to the number of changes we could make to the plans and specifications, and all our requests were met with enthusiasm and professionalism and responded to very promptly. Her ideas, personnel opinions and quality attenion to detail has been a major factor in producing us a beautiful home.

The construction supervisor has been in constant contact with us during the onsite building stages, and is always avaliable to answer our queries and provide his professional experience and knowledge. We are extremely happy with his supervision on the service and quality of workmanship done by local Bridgetown contactors.

All The staff at the Bridgetown office have really shown what true local service is about and have made our first home building experience ever so rewarding and we cannot wait to move in!!

All the helpful people at WA Country Builders Busselton and Margaret River have made our build an incredibly positive experience to date. Our Housing Design Consultant and New Home Administrator were friendly, efficient, gave good advice and delivered on cost too! Many pictures and updates from the Construction Supervisor have meant distance management has been easy. And all done in a timely manner. Enthusiastically looking forward to the next stages.

This was my second home built through WA Country Builders and the building process was just as consistent the second time around. The admin team were fantastic and gave plenty of insight on how to modify the home to make the most use of light and space on a small block. Cliff managed the construction of the home extremely well and had the home completed before the predicted completion date; allowing me to move into my new home in time for Christmas. I would definitely recommend WA Country Builders to any new home builders.

I highly recomend engageing another builder. Management and staff lied to us repeatedly.
Onsite supervisor treated us as if we were stupid. I had six arguments with him just to get the house built as it was drawn on the plan.
Now we've been waiting since July 2011 for the 120 days maintenance.
No one will take our calls their always out and surprisingly never return a call.
We estimate we have paid 60 000 more than the work was worth.
As I've said, take your business elsewhere.

Being my 5th build with WA Country Builders, I can once again say that the whole experience was fantastic. From initial sales and pre start the staff were very accommodating to our ideas no matter how small the change we requested. This also flowed in the build process not only with our supervisor but with the trades they used which made it a pleasant journey.

I found WA country builders very helpful from ringing the girls in the office that would do anything for you in a professional manner. Our supervisor was only a phone call away if we wanted to know anything or even meet him on site was really good to deal with. The tradesman were really professional at there job and would stop and talk to show us how they were going which was good. All in all we are happy with how it all went.

Having been involved in the building industry for some 40 years and built a number of homes I can honestly say the workmanship and quality of the finished product is second to none.
From the discussions with the draftsman to find a design to fit a very difficult site, to very obliging and supportive office staff to a very professional and friendly building supervisor it has been a very pleasant journey.

Started building in Feb and moved in in October, what an enjoyable experience. We built through the Ossie Park office for our sea change experience. The supervisor was so helpful and very approachable and explained any queries we had during the building stage. Office staff/management were also very attentive and professional no queries were too hard. The choices and selections which you are offered are very impressive, workmanship was better than we were expecting going on what other people were saying, we would definitely choose as builders again, couldn't be happier and the finish is wow for us!

I built my first home with WACB and have now built my second home with WACB. For the second time around they have made building an easy, efficient , friendly journey. Any issues with the local council, estate developer and throughout the build were dealt with professionally and efficiently.
My profession is in the building industry, and my experience with WACB as both a supplier and a customer is the reason why I would have no hesitation in building with WACB for a third time.

I built with WA Country Builders in Bunbury in 2010. After trudging through endless display homes and talking to reps from every project home builder I chose Country Builders because they offered amazing flexibility with home designs and changes, fantastic service, the quality specifications I was looking for and all at a very competitive price. I had a lot of very specific ideas that I wanted to include in my plan and was unable to find any standard plans that suited my needs and my block.

The rep at Country Builders was happy to help me come up with a one off design and gave me so many great ideas. There was no limit to the number of changes I could make to the plans and specifications, and all my requests were met with enthusiasm and professionalism and responded to very promptly. Throughout the whole planning and building process I was extremely happy with the service, quality of workmanship and professionalism.

The final result turned out exactly as I'd imagined, and every visitor to my home has been very impressed. Now, three years later I'm ready to build again and this time I have no hesitation in going straight to WA Country Builders without wasting time talking to and comparing other building companies. I've just met with the same representative that I dealt with last time, and within a day he has already drawn up and emailed me a plan with everything I asked for. With his advice, enthusiasm and fantastic ideas I'm already so excited about how this next house is going to turn out.
