Ordered fire alarms and account was charge $300 on 4/15/18. When not received by May 2nd I cancelled order and was promised a refund.
As of May 30, 2018 refund still not processed by company. Filed credit card dispute.

I placed an order on May 11, 2018 for 1 kidds smoke detector. The arrival date was May 31, 2018, which never arrive to my home. I waited a week and sent an email asking them about the status on my order. The next day they emailed me back saying my order was in FULFILLMENT, and the order requested is estimated to ship in 7-10 Business days. Today is Wednesday, June 27, 2018. My smoke detector has not arrive. I will be taken other actions on this issue.

I ordered a case of Leviton cover plates from Westside on 5/15/17 (web order #200782835). At the time of placing the order, their checkout process clearly stated that the items would NOT be shipped until 5/30/17. However, the charge for the order was made against the cc used to pay for the items on 5/16/17, two weeks prior to the stated planned ship date. This is an EXTREMELY poor business practice; and if the items are never shipped or received, there's a mountain of hassle to get the money back. I will not use this vendor again, I will not recommend this vendor to anyone, and I urge extreme caution if you must use this vendor yourself

We've placed an order on August 9th for which our card was charged in full. We then received an automated email saying the order would ship in 12-14 business days and about half did finally ship on August 22nd. Don't bother calling as nobody ever answers the phone and don't bother asking them to call you back as nobody ever will!

We then received another email saying half of our order was backordered and would ship by 09/21/18 (1.5 months later!). On Sept 24th after multiple inquiries, we received another automated email stating that we would be refunded for the remainder of our order within 5-10 business days. One month later, we have yet to receive a refund and Westside Wholesale is no longer responding to emails (never responded to calls in the first place). They are a complete SCAM and I would NOT recommend them to anybody.

This is the 2nd time that I had placed an order with them in less than a year (2018-2019) for skylights. The first time, they charged my card right away, but didn't deliver for quite a while. I emailed and called, got a hold of a lady who said they would check into it. Eventually I got in touch again, and they said that I can keep the order open, with no estimate whatsoever on when the order might be fulfilled, or cancel. I opted to cancel, they opted to not refund the money on my cc... I ended up just dealing through the credit card company to get that resolved.

I thought I might try them again.. last time just had to be a series of mistakes on their part, everybody makes mistakes.. This time, I just received a notification in my email this morning.. They cancelled my order due to the fact that the expected ship date was 3 business days ago, and no longer had an expected ship date for me on this skylight. I would consider giving them 1.5 stars instead of 1 because they are doing better about keeping me from wasting my time on going through the whole process I went through last time, but that's the best I can say. I seriously wonder if they stock, or truly sell any products at all?

I bought 4 Velux skylights from them. The specifications page said that they came with manual shades. When they arrived, there were no shades. Westside claimed that the front page didn't say that there were shades, despite the specs page saying that there were. They claimed that Velux sent them the text that they posted on their website and that it was a 'typographic error'. To that I say balderdash! They refused to honor what was claimed and said that they had corrected the website entry and Velux would not honor it either. Since the shades are approximately $150 each (unlike the old roll-up shades from years past), I bought the skylights believing that I was getting a good deal. Now, I'm going to have to spend another $600 for shades at least. What was a good deal turned sour. I should have gone to Lowes or Home Depot, not have to have paid for shipping, and gotten what I expected to get from these folks. They claim that they can't edit any of the copy on their website because they have 70K items and don't have staff to do so. By the way, they also take the money from your credit card immediately. They said that I would receive the items in 2 weeks. 7 weeks later the items arrived. Most vendors don't take your money until they ship. If you use them, be very sure what you're buying because they won't exactly tell you. I won't use them again they left such a bad taste.

I purchased three sets of First Alerts CO-smoke detectors as "gifts" and the price was the best I could find, and involved free shipment. Delivery was timely and when I had an installation question, WWI pointed me to the right source for the help I needed.

Patient, knowledgeable sales associate, Tom Miller, helped me get the finishing touches for my three month long kitchen remodeling project. I didn't even know the correct terminology for the items I needed to order, but with Tom's help, I was able to order everything I needed, and at a fraction of what I thought it would cost. I have learned that the next time I act as my own contractor, I will call Tom at Westside Wholesale, Inc. first. My only regret is that I didn't call Westside Wholesale, Inc. first. I had an issue with two fire alarm units that were shipped as part of a multipack. Westside Wholesale replaced the individual units promptly and with no questions asked. Their customer service was great!

Ordered 01/22/18 35 Black 20A decora outlets
Waited 31 days for the order to be sent.
Order status is still "in fulfilment" also when I ordered it said on my confirmation order would ship the next day.
Didn't answer phone-on hold indefinitely
"Requested call" from their web page per directions of "on hold" message, no call returned

I ordered 3 electronic timers which were supposed to be 'in stock' and they immediately charged my credit card. Sixty days later I was only able to get their attention by disputing the charge with my credit card company. And apologized and told me they expected shipment in 10 days. Almost a year later I reordered the same 3 timers as they are supposed to be in-stock. It's 2 weeks now and no returned calls or emails and the status is 'in fulfillment'. Obviously, they didn't ship but they did charge my credit card. I filed a dispute with my credit card company again.

I placed an order on May 10,2018 for 4 BRK smoke detectors. The ship date on the invoice was May 17, 2018. I waited patiently about 3 weeks - nothing. I called their "service" number 4 times one day and finally got through. That was the ONLY time in 10-12 call attempts over weeks that they answered their phone. The "hold music" they use is torture and they interrupt constantly telling the customer they are in cue or can leave a call back request. I tried the website callback request - it doesn't work, they don't call. I also waited over half an hour on hold multiple times - these people DO NOT answer their phones, even if you choose #3 which is the sales department. Any company that won't take an incoming sales call is looking to fail.

On my one successful phone call, I was told the belated products would ship in early June, around June 6. It's now June 18 2018 and I still have nothing. I have emailed them, gone to their website and requested a call back and called their "service" line 6 times today alone and was on hold for as long as 30 minutes with NO answers. They still have the nerve to send me sales emails. Just send me what I ordered and paid for almost 2 months ago and skip the marketing crapola.

I emailed every address for Westside I could find. Calling them via phone as I cited above is absolutely pointless. I was told my order was "in fulfillment" a month ago. That's a jargon term used by Westside that means "we hope it comes in sometime soon so we can ship it" and then they never update you unless you hunt them down via phone call or email.

I had enough of their delays, incommunicado garbage and was sick of chasing them around. I emailed them at a couple of addresses requesting order cancellation and refund and then filed a dispute with my credit card company. Remarkably, a few hours later they did confirm my order cancellation and said they would issue a refund. I have to watch my credit card carefully to see if they actually apply a refund. I suspended the credit card dispute but will re-open it if I don't see a refund posted by the end of this week.

Bottom line is that Westside Wholesale appears to have very good prices, a wide inventory and looks like a stand up company. Maybe it is when they have things in stock but if they have to order from a manufacturer to fulfill an order, you can likely count on problems, delays and lack of communication. All Westside has to do to be successful is to answer their phone. It does not require differential calculus to see how these guys will fail long term.

This experience is near rock bottom for any online vendor I have used other then the clowns at Floodchek hoses. I'll never consider Westside again and you should question whether the possibility of all this drama is worth your time to save a few bucks. In reality, they can offer the lowest price on the web but if they can't supply the product, it's meaningless. No wonder Amazon is killing it - at least you can trust them and they respond almost instantly no matter venue of contact they use. Westside could learn a great deal from the Amazon sales and communication model and by simply answering their damn phone!

I had good experience with westside years ago. They have now become a fraud. Will take orders and charge your card but never ship. Had this happen once before and thought it was a fluke. Placed another order weeks ago for items shown as in stock but the order goes nowhere. Spent two hours on hold trying to reach them. There is nobody there, they are an empty shell company.

Have two outstanding orders from September & October.

Company never took the initiative to A)Let me know they were not coming B) Offer a refund C) Provide me with other items that they DO have in stock....

Overall just poor customer service and being pro-active about a known lack of supply.

Last communication (after calling them) they said "Oh they are delayed end of January now"

I bought in good advance, an advertised 3" recessed trim to use in a new construction recessed housing. We found out at the time of the installation (more than a month later) that the 3" didn't refer to the ring rim that was 3.25" so we tried to get reimbursed but due to their strict policy (30 days return) we couldn't get reimbursed. However after escalating the complaint the Company promised a full reimbursement.
