I don't want to go on too much of a rant but I'm extraordinarily frustrated with my purchase with this company. Bought a laptop $1400 base, upgraded to about $2k with a double SSD, an extra HDD, extra ram, most expensive thermal paste offered, $50 for a rush build, etc. First day out of the box, after installing Avast antivirus and steam. I updated everything, restarted, then I installed GTA 5, ran it, and had my laptop hit 96 degrees Celsius instantly. Shut it down and went to bed confused. The next day I turned on my computer, and it took 26 minutes to turn on and get to where I could play GTA again. Not updating, just took 10 minutes to get to home screen, 10 minutes to open steam, then the normal time it takes to open GTA. Now I'm frustrated. This is a $2000 laptop that runs poorer than my 5 year old ps4. I start digging around and realize that XOTIC installed my windows on the low end extra space hdd that I paid extra $60 for instead of the NVMe SSD that i spent an extra $200 on. Second thing wrong. Finally I noticed one of the four rubber bumper pads (under the laptop to stop it from sliding and to give it airflow) was missing. I spent $2000 on a laptop that had 3 mistakes on it RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX. Unbelievable. I finally called them to get it sent back for warranty repair and asked them to express ship it, in light of the not one but THREE mistakes on this utterly sloppy build. I was told and I quote "that we're doing you a favor already by paying for shipping both ways and repairing it". At that point I had it. That's outrageous. That's not a favor, that's called a warranty! What I'M asking for is a favor, which is faster shipping to make me feel better about spending $2000 on a awful laptop. They got the general manager involved, who of course said they weren't going to cover anything more than what they usually cover. Steaming with frustration but not once raising my voice or assuming an aggressive tone, I asked if they could guarantee than I'll have it back in 3 weeks as I need to leave for school and I need my laptop for school. They said, "it's a fairly good chance". A fairly good chance... I asked them, "can you make me a promise since you already made 3 mistakes, won't help with shipping, can you at least promise you can get this done?" I don't even have to tell you what the answer was. Useless heartless customer service. Don't spend money here. They don't care about you or your happiness with the product, purchase, or company and its customer service. You might be one of the lucky ones to get a good device, but if they screw it up like they do way way way too often, then be prepared to get repeated ignored, disrespected, and ridiculed by a team of people who professionally build and sell bad overpriced PC's. I repair cars and motorcycles for a living. I wish this company held itself the the same standard that even dirty uneducated mechanics like my peers and I do. If I make a mistake working on someone's vehicle, I apologize profusely, repair the mistake for free, and grant them any reasonable request like a free oil change or some wipers blades, maybe a set of spark plugs. All stuff that costs not even $25, that is a small expense for me, but it's to see my customer happy in the end despite a small mistake. It's not only not rocket science, but it's not even a concept incomprehensible to a child. XOTIC didn't mess anything up beyond repair but the fact that they don't care about making it right and making me happy is why I'm not shopping here anymore and why I'm no longer recommending this business to my friends.

I will start by saying I have never written a review before but this situation has left me with me with a poor regard for Xotic and MSI computers.

TL;DR-Sent me a defective product and did not resolve it when under warranty through a total of 4 RMA's in under 2 years. Tricked me into thinking the defective product was replaced during last RMA. Now expecting me to pay for a replacement since I am out of warranty and they never resolved the initial problem.

I bought the GS65 Stealth Thin from Xotic for $2500 about 1.5 years ago, very excited with the specs and upgrades Xotic had added from the manufacturer. Out of the box the screen had a green tint on the rightside which prompted an RMA with MSI to get it fixed since I know Xotic did not install the screen. However, this tells me that they did not so much as turn it on before shipping it to a customer.

After a couple months of use I began to move applications to the D drive Xotic installed, which was a 512 gb NVMe SSD, as I was running out of space on my C drive which had my OS on it. The drive crashed on me immediately and would not appear in my devices after. Another RMA to MSI where they tested everything and sent it back to me saying things were fine. The same day I got it back it crashed again which prompted another RMA. It was here that MSI finally told me that they cannot service drive and to contacted Xotic.

Xotic gave me a call immediately and was very helpful in setting up an RMA to have this drive serviced. I expressed to them that this part consistently fails on me and that it needs to be replaced. They serviced it promptly and sent it back but reformatted my computer in the process. I look in my PC for drive space and I have 1 Tb of memory now. I was happy that they listened to me and replaced both my SSD's with one that was of equal capacity.

At this point I was very satisfied with my product as it was working flawlessly for around 3 months. A week ago I go to boot it and I'm staring at a BIOS screen that I cannot get out of with any solution online. This was a big problem because I am currently working from home and this is my sole means access software and applications I need to do my job. I reach out to technical support with the issue stating I have sent it in multiple times already and I am still having problems. A day later I get a response telling me to check and see if my hard drive is being read. I look and there are TWO SSD's being read. Not only did they not replace the faulty one but they made the separate drives read as one so I could not tell that.

I could no longer wait a day in-between responses so I called and asked for my device to be replaced. I could not wait for repairs because I needed to work. I expected them to take action promptly as any reputable company would seeing the urgency of the matter. They told me the best they can do was send me a replacement SSD that I would have to install myself because I was out of warranty. I understood the situation, though unhappy, agreed to accept the replacement SSD to resolve my issues.

After the call I attempted to get my computer to boot using the technicians advice. The only useful information I received was that I can install windows from a flash drive, everything else did not change my situation. Once I installed windows my D drive was still unusable and unable to be formatted. It was also showing more storage than it was capable of. This means they somehow changed that drive to read more memory than actual which is very unethical in my opinion because this was used to trick me into thinking I had a 1 Tb SSD. I deleted it which allowed me to set it up again to a functional state. I refuse to put anything on it knowing well that it will crash again. I reached out to my support rep when I couldn't reformat and was ignored completely.

The next day the rep for my RMA emailed me promptly and was very responsive throughout the day which I appreciated. It was during this email exchange she let me know that they could not send me the replacement since it was out of warranty despite my conversion the day before leading me to believe otherwise. I instead would have to pay for a replacement. They did not fix the problem when it was under warranty and now the repercussions fall on me. This is a very poor reflection on how they treat their customers and their actions tell me they do not care. I will not be purchasing a product from them again and I advice others to do the same.

Edit:

Listen to every bad review. This company will SCREW YOU out of your TIME and MONEY. Absolutely reprehensible customer service and poorly designed website as well. With plenty of trips and tricks to get extra money out of you that you will never get back all while providing subpar service. The website is designed to be misleading and their buying system as well as emailing system is broken. I believe that if you get your product all in one piece you might not have a problem with these guys, but if you have trouble with your order in anyway at all they will give you the runaround. If you read the reviews on google and other places they always respond to negative reviews to employ some form of damage control (they never respond to the positive ones for thanks or anything). The catch is they don't take responsibility for anything and even do customer blaming. Read it for yourself. So if you do plan to buy from these guys be prepared for that.

I ordered an Xotic pc (G775) in beginning of May and was told then that it may take longer than norm because of activity. Fine, as long as I knew beforehand. I modified the pc quite a bit so didn't expect it soon. To my delight it arrived only 2 weeks later. I have been using it for a week or so, constantly, and it is a nice piece of hardware. The speakers are the highlight of the system in that it wasn't something that I was expecting. They have a quality I have not seen in laptops. A very positive experience.

Bought a 2k$ laptop, I'm in the USA, day 1 defective product. I contacted them the next day for assistance. BSOD, Loud fans, Gets hot, poor quality screen, locked at 8bit colors, entire screen flickers if there's a wide range of colors and brightness on the screen. They delayed my RMA for over a month and then after 1 month they said my refund was out of the time frame. They diagnosed it as a software issue, this wasn't true and was only meant to delay me. Once the 1 month refund window was closed they offered to repair it if I shipped it back. They failed to repair the computer, shipping it back to me still damaged so I had to send it to MSI. MSI determined it was the RAM memory, XoticPC either willfully did this because it was the RAM they installed or are just incompetent. Failing to provide accurate diagnosis on multiple occasions, through email and with the physical device. So now I've shipped it on 3 separate occasions to get it repaired just so I can sell it. Now it's october when I purchased the laptop in June. This is the timeline you're looking at if you ever purchase from Xoticpc and have a problem. They are now attempting to delete and remove all my reviews from other websites. Instead of offering me my request of a refund which I 100% deserve, they attempt to delete all negative reviews. If you see they have better reviews on 1 site than another it's because they delete all bad reviews from websites. They would rather pay some website to delete reviews rather than treat customers on a moral ground. They will talk down to you as they pretend to care just to get you to be quiet. If they refunded everyone who was owed one due to defective devices, they would be out of business.

I feel guilty for even giving 1 star, If there was less than 1 star i would have definitely chosen that. They have no Quality control what so ever and the employees are totally dishonest. NEVER EVER TRUST THIS SHOP. First i bought from them a laptop (Gigabyte Aero 15X) that had allot of issues like the keyboard clicks don't register, the keyboard LEDs are burned in some keys, the screen had significant back-light bleed, the chassis was not well fixed so it made sounds upon typing. I returned it and asked for the same model but they didn't have it in stock as if mine was the last piece. So i chose the MSI GS65 instead. Honestly the manager was quite helpful in allowing me time so that i can wait to receive the the device before i return the defected one. And i thought after i found this helpful manager my experience with them would change but unfortunately not. The new device arrived and first after turning on i noticed a cluster of stuck pixels in the screen that are always blue, they never change, i tried some software and stuff but no way. Then after a week and then some keys stopped registering completely (Enter + End + Home + Win + Fn). So i returned it and i waited for another one. The other one arrived, with bad issues too, first there is something wrong with the capacitors on this board, it makes weird buzzing noise that were not in the first exact same model, second the laptop fans sound is totally different then the previous model, as if they are vibrating more than usual while rotating and the laptop heats significantly more than the previous one(same model). Third and strange is i noticed the battery LED is not working from day 1. This time i didn't return it, because i am from a different country and each time i would pay shipping both ways and brokerage fees and so on. I opened the device and immediately i noticed that the ribbon cable for the led was not connected, I though ok maybe the careless worker who assembled the device after upgrades forgot it, but then i discovered it was disconnected on purpose to hide a bigger issue. Whenever i bring anything metal or magnetic near this LED the laptop screen turns off! I have absolutely no idea what that is, but what i know, instead of them changing whatever causes this, they just disconnected the battery LED and yes, for some reason removing this LED would stop this issue, in addition to their huge dishonesty, they claim that they test the devices for some hours before shipping, then when you receive the device you find on the desktop a report with the stress test results. But they shipped it very fast that i doubted that they even tested anything so i opened this report and found out that the report is actually for another device of another model an Asus device with totally different configuration and on a totally different date. Which means they don't test anything they fake some reports and just say we test it. They even didn't bother to fake the date and the model of the device in the report. I am considering reporting them aggressively because i won't contact them anymore. Bottom Line: Xotic PC is a Scam, if you want to throw your money on the ground, go buy from them.

Taking several months to repare my warrenty computer.
"I bought a sager laptop from them. Very expensive machine. Best I could literally buy at the time. No one else was selling a laptop with a 4k screen, Intel i9 processor, and an NVIDIA 2080 all on one machine. Cost over 3 grand, bit it was great. It ran great for 14 months. I had been having trouble with it for a while. Random crashes, up to 13 a day. I called Xotic PC about this, and when the computer finally died, I sent it in for repair. I had paid for the extended 4 year warranty.

However, I mailed it in three months ago. Apparently the motherboard and CPU went out. And now they are arguing with the manufacturer about parts or something. They will not tell me much. Only that they are working on replacing the broken parts. It has been over three months, and they are no closer to fixing the problem.

I am furious with them. I don't know if they sold me a defective machine, or if it was just poor quality. But it dies right outside of one year. And now they are taking forever to fix it. The only excuse they give is that they are working on it. How long does it take to get a motherboard and CPU? This is ridiculous.

TLDR they sold me a expensive laptop 3.5k, it was defective, now they wont fix it."

This company has no stock for custom machines, there website portrays a different story. I ordered my machine and waited 30 days when i was told that the machine i ordered was still waiting on a few parts. Xotic has a tracking legend that says it will take no longer then 20 days. After talking with someone at xotic i found out they don't keep a stock and do not have that anywhere on there website. I asked them how long until i would have my pc and what if i wanted to do a refund what that would look like. An hour later i got a notification that my order had been refunded. Horrible service would never recommend and don't understand how they stayed in business this long. Absolute joke for a company. I would stay far away. Go with a more reliable company like ibuypower.com

It took a full month and 3 days to receive my build, according to their site of eta your legitimately looking for a mimum eta of 20 working days before its shipped, why I'm not sure. The process took 3 weeks of recieivg the items because they have nothing in stock as they claim for one. Then it took 2 days to build it then 3 days to test it lol? Absolutely terrible to begin with. I let it go. Before shipping my pc I told them atleast 2 times that I wanted to change the shipping before it actually did it never happened. The day before it shipped I reminded them and they still didnt. I called ups to change and lay the shipping myself but they told me that id have to habe exotic authorize before I could. I was on the phone in 2nd line to be waited it took 15 mins, another 10 mims on hold after being told I was in que or the next representative. I told him the issue he put to me on another hold for 15 mins without coming back to check with me he told me that he spoke with someone that they would contact me to let me know if I could change it because they said they had a contract saying they couldn't when I personally work for fedex knowing you can and with ups even agreeing that they could, i wait 3 hours for a response no email, I call back.im on the phone waiting for another 20 mins finally get a diff person they say they go to check and i get hung up on. I call right after, get placed in number one que for 20 mins, i now know there ignoring me then hang up. I wrote them emails stating that I wanted a manger still yet no response im not the type of person to complain but I had no more patience with this unprofessional company the overall experience with staff, no response of management says it all. They do not care about service or there customers just there money. I wish I would have chosen to go with xdiax. I will never buy support or recommend this company to anyone. They do not deserve anything from anyone.

Feel like you've been sold a Lemon Laptop? Been taken advantage of? Received a faulty device, and been asked for more money to make it functional? Fraud: wrongful deception intended to result in financial or personal gain. I STRONGLY urge anyone with experiences like these, tell your story to the Nebraska Attorney General's office, department of consumer fraud. United we stand, together they fall. https://protectthegoodlife.nebraska.gov/file-consumer-complaint

This is the second laptop I've bought from Xotic PC. My last one lasted 5 years and the only reason I bought a new one was because of an accident I had with it. The customizations available allow me to build a machine I can use for years.

. . . . Thats it! I had never purchased electronics from Xotic PC in the past, but my first time was not the best one. On May 7th I pre-purchased a MSI GE66 10SGS-057. I cancelled my order on July 6th after repeated yet understandable delays due to the current pandemic.

My biggest issue with Xotic PC is their lack of transparency. When I searched for where I could purchase my laptop, under the search results for Xotic PC it specifically said that the specific model of laptop I wanted was in stock. Under the product page it allows you to add it to your cart but it is not shown that the item is a pre-order and not in stock until almost the end of the transaction. Delays by itself are definitely understandable, delays coupled along with lack of transparency and not being straightforward about not knowing when the product will be available, I do not consider good business.

I have read a few reviews that mention that Xotic PC did have the GE66 Raider 10SGS-057 in stock and delivered it. I find this to be conflicting information considering the laptop is still listed as a pre-order as of today and has not changed since May.

In response to, well the response my order number was 177192637

I bought a MSI GE66 RAIDER 10SGS-057 with some extra things as well, but this was a really high demand item so it generally would take a while but Xotic PC got it all done really fast for the cards they were dealt. I will for sure get things from them again and as well to great speed and care, there service is out of this world, i've talked to about 4 different people because i ended up having a lot of questions, but they all were really nice and knowledge people that helped me, no long waiting times for answers either, if your debating on where to get stuff from, this company is great,

I ordered an MSI laptop with the added cooling option and I have been absolutely blown away by the performance. The laptop was priced competitively and the custom cooling has exceeded all of my expectations. The customer service was spot on and allowed me to add on to the order after checkout was complete. (I wanted to add more memory than OEM standard) The shipping was fast and well documented from build to delivery. I highly recommend the crew at xotic!!!!!

After trying unsuccessfully to buy a laptop from antonline and newegg, I ended up getting it here. They have real people you can talk to, and want to take care of you. The one downside I will warn about in advance is this: They are much smaller than most online vendors, and they are primarily centered on upgraded laptops. The big guys have automated pickers and will ship it the day you order. These guys require humans to pick the order, do any necessary upgrades, and then ship, so it may take a day or two before it is shipped. Personally, I'd rather have real humans, and personalized service than speed most of the time.

I was very hopeful when I started my experience with this company. The options were great. The prices were great. The website was actually usable unlike some other computer building sites. I was even more pleasantly surprised when I started using their online chat support. Everyone was very nice and helpful. Travis, Emily, and everyone else were great. The problem started with my laptop order when I was still in Phase 1 (Inventory Gathering) after 14 Days of the order being placed and paid for. Mind you, the website said that it will ship between 7 and 9 business days. It had been 10 and I was still in Phase 1 of 5 phases... (I know what work goes in to building a custom PC, so I know it takes time, however 2 weeks to gather inventory that is advertised on your website is absurd. On top of that, putting it together, installing windows, optimizing, calibrating, and overclocking, and then testing. I knew it was going to take another week at least before it was even shipped.) So I decided to go with another company who can quickly acquire the goods needed for my build. I cancelled my order with them with a representative, who was also pleasant (Landon I believe), on 8/5. My Order status was changed during the day 8/7/17. Now another issue, I have not received my refund yet, and it has been 6 days, we are on the 5th business day since the order status changed. I do not know about anyone reading this, however I am an eCommerce Marketplace Manager. If I had a department, or an employee, who was causing delays and slow turnaround time for anything in my business, there would be serious issues and change. ECommerce demands speed, quick turnaround, and perfect accuracy. I am not sure why it was taking so long to acquire parts, or why the refund process is absurdly long. I also know that I ordered a similar laptop from another company on 8/6/2017 and it will be here 8/14/2017. I have my tracking already. I am disappointed because the support team at the very least was phenomenal. I have to get another laptop for my wife since hers is failing. I was going to get mine from Xotic now, then get hers in a few weeks... Unless something significantly changes with this company, I will not be visiting their site again for my computer needs.
