We had a wonderful two weeks in Namibia. Zambezi helped us pull together a delightful itinerary covering a variety of sights, landscapes and activities. A good balance between adventure and relax. The accommodation was superb. I would have spent more time relaxing at Mowani Lodge, one night wasn't enough! There's so much to do in the area. I felt it was a bit rushed.

Unless you're super keen on visiting a Himba Village, or visiting the waterfalls north of Namibia, I'd bypass Opuwo. There wasn't really much to see in the area. The drive from Etendeka to Opuwo was long but beautiful. However, I didn't particularly like Opuwo Country Lodge. It was decent. It needs a bit of a make-over but what really put us off was the poor treatment of its local staff. We witness the owner of the lodge, a privileged older white male, shouting and yelling (borderline abusive and derogatory) to local staff members. It was appalling. Furthermore the two children of the owner where on school holiday and were running around the place as if it was their private house making noise and distributing the tranquillity of the place.

Apart from that little upsetting experience at Opuwo Country Lodge, the overall experience was amazing. The self-drive was very easy and I would highly recommend this trip.

There aren't enough accolades to describe the meticulous planning and spectacular execution for our trip to Madagascar and Zimbabwe. From pickup and drop-off at the Johannesburg airport and everything in between, we could not have had better service, nicer accommodations, and friendlier people. Zambezi Safari Travel did a truly awesome job for us!!

This was our sixth booking with Zambezi. This is the level of service we have grown to expect, yet found ourselves even more impressed than before. Most trips are fairly straightforward, but this one required Liz, our travel consultant, do extra planning on our behalf, and she did so with the greatest efficiency and cheerfulness.

The entire trip was flawless, fascinating and fantastic!!

Thank you Liz, Char, John, and the entire Zambezi team, for your dedication to customer service and Africa travel. We will be back.

Zambezi organised a brilliant safari for us in Zimbabwe followed by a restful week in Zanzibar. The information they provided was excellent, the accommodation arranged was superb and the connections fault-free. All in all a very memorable holiday so many thanks to Liz, Char and the team.

They arranged a terrific safari for us across Zimbabwe and Botswana. Everything ran like a Swiss clock despite the challenges of Africa.

This past trip was my third booking with Zambezi. That speaks volumes. As with the previous bookings, their service was excellent and very thorough. Without question, I will absolutely use them again.

Chris Worden and his staff have never ever let us down in the last 11 years. Everything runs like clockwork in the transportation line (whether local air of taxis) and Chris always looks for the best deals that accommodate the prospective customers needs and if not will always make changes. I can't be bothered with hunting the Internet for hours trying to save a few dollars, maybe. I'd rather stick with those I know that provide a great service.

Chris Worden at the Victoria Falls office did a great plan for our trip. He managed to tick all the boxes on our extensive wish list. The hotel in Vic Falls and the two lodges he chose for us were very different but all very nice.
At Sheerwater Explorer's Village, he chose a nice bungalow. The hotel is newly built and fresh, located within Vic Falls, within walking distance to restaurants, shops and Victoria Falls NP.
Zambesi Sands in Zambesi NP offered a pleasant atmosphere, beautiful scenery, luxurious glamping, excellent food, river tours and knowledgeable guidance during game drives. Among other things we got to see a magnificent herd with buffalo, elephants, lions, bushbuck and lots of bird life.
Deteema Springs in Hwange NP offered a completely different type of landscape that was also magical. Here, too, good company and good food were offered. Although completely different, this camp was also very well organized and the luxurious feeling remained. Game drives were long in the exciting landscape and we saw a lot of animals - kudus, impalas, elephants, giraffes, buffalo, warthogs, hippos and crocodiles to name a few.
I am particularly impressed with how Chris made sure we received information that the airline canceled our flight home. When the internet was mostly missing or weak he still made sure that messages came through to us via radio allowing us to solve the transport.

We arranged a 13 day tour with Zambezi Safari and Travel Company to go to Zimbabwe, specifically Matobo Hills, Hwange, a canoe safari on the Zambezi at Mana Pools and a brief stay at Vic Falls. Everything worked beautifully and Mark made all the individual details work for our diverse group of 8 people (ages 19 to 63). The arrangements to stay at some excellent lodges (Amalinda was incredible) and the private bush plane flights were much cheaper with Zambezi than using US travel agencies. We highly recommend this company.

Generally the itinerary was very good (although there was some toing and froing as we failed to book early enough for there to be availability at our preferred camps, so we did cross our own path) so I'd recommend booing at least 12 months ahead as they use some delightfully intimate accommodating options. The camps and hotels were of a high standard; the service was personal and friendly and the drivers for all our transfers were great as were the camp guides. It felt as though it paid to use the services of an expert company and we'd recommend using them for your travels to this part of the Continent.

I wish to acknowledge that the Zambezi Safari & Travel Co Ltd team have done an excellent job of planning and executing our once-in-a-lifetime family safari.
Planning any holiday for a three-generation family group is a daunting task, but making that holiday an African safari of this breadth was beyond challenging.

Mark and Helen from Zambezi Travel organized a most amazing trip for us to Zimbabwe and Botswana. The places they picked out for us to experience (from Canoe safaris to walking Safaris to regular Safaris) were top notch and just what We had wanted. Every travel detail was meticulously planned out. I would recommend Zambezi travel in a heart beat!!!

We chose Zambezi Safaris to organise our Zimbabwe trip particularly because they had a representative in Vic Falls. He was able to give us some very good advice and we had a superb vacation. We would not hesitate to book through them again.

Zambezi set up a trip for gorilla trekking in Uganda and relaxing in Zanzibar. All arrangements were top notch. Providers knew the itinerary and all services were provided as developed. Zambezi was very responsive to any questions or inquiries, and helpful in communication.

This is the 2nd time we have travelled with Zambezi Safari and it was just as good as the first time, took there advise on lodges and we weren't disappointed. The whole booking was done by email and there response times were great. Highly recommend.

Zambezi Safari and Travel helped us book a great trip to Zimbabwe this spring - they worked with us to select the best camps for the activities we were interested in and answered all our questions quickly. The booking process was very easy and we had a wonderful time on our safari! Highly recommended!

We recently returned from our first African experience that Chris Worden and the team at Zambezi put together for us. It was 15 days in Zimbabwe and Botswana - Vic Falls, Camp Hwange in Hwange National Park, Muchenje Lodge in Chobe, and Okuti and Shinde Camps in the Okavango Delta. All of the camps were excellent - comfortable accommodations, knowledgeable and attentive staff and guides, and the food was delicious - and absolutely no problem for a diabetic vegetarian. An abundance of wildlife and stunning landscapes (and sunsets) made the experience unforgettable. The trip was originally planned for a year earlier, but due to a medical issue we couldn't travel then so the staff at Zambezi arranged to reschedule everything for exactly one year later. Their selection of camps was ideal and the whole process easy and well managed. Highly recommend Zambezi Safari and Travel for a wonderful African experience.

Elizabeth did a great job of giving us a varied and balanced view of Zimbabwe. Coming from the southern part of the US we would have been better off with warm jackets for the morning and evening game drives. Didn't realize Elephant Eye would be another 10 degrees below the temperature of Victoria Falls;. However, in spite of being colder than we would have preferred, with our time constraints, it was the best we could do. We really appreciated the focus on fulfilling our goals.
