I purchased a pool pump on Monday night online and chose UPS Ground ($21.35 with handling). I called first thing Tuesday AM to tell them I wanted to change to 3 day shipping to get it here by Friday so I could have my pool open over the July 4th weekend. I was told total shipping cost would be $47 (can't remember exact amount). I approved that and then checked an hour or so later online and saw the $47 amount listed on the invoice. I thought all was well and that I would recieve my pool pump on Friday. I returned home late in the afternoon to find a message on my answering machine from Chris telling me the package was ready to ship but it would be $73.30 and he wasn't sure if I still wanted the 3 day shipping. I called immediately.. I spoke to Chris and he said it had not been shipped and wouldn't be shipped until Wednesday afternoon since that's when UPS picks up there. (So I ordered Monday night.. and it won't leave their building until Wednesday afternoon.. ouch). I told him that I didn't want to pay the $73.30. It would have been nice had they honored the original quote for shipping 3 day instead of trying to stick me with an additional $26. ((updated 7/8/06)) ------------------- I received the pump Monday (i.e. if they had shipped it regular ground when I ordered it then it most likely would have gotten here Friday as it was sitting at UPS a few miles from here Friday night). I did receive an e-mail from Surplus Center, but they made no attempt to right this blunder (it sounded like they didn't see it as a blunder at all). The product was great, the price was great, it was packaged great.. they just dropped the ball in customer support and in estimating the shipping. So here's the skinny: -- 1 - When I called Tuesday AM to say I needed it by Friday they should have been able to say "we'll ship it today and most likely you'll get it by Friday via UPS Ground" then that would have been great. -- 2 - If, when I called Tuesday AM, they had told me 3rd day would be $73 (instead of $47) then I would have told them to ship it ground and would most likely have gotten here Friday. All would be well. -- 3 - If, when they realized that it was going to cost more to ship 3rd day than they estimated, they had absorbed that extra cost and gotten it to me on Friday then I would be happy. -- 4 - If, when I contacted them to tell them that I was an unhappy customer because they had dropped the ball and inconvenienced me, they had sent me a discount coupon or something.. then I would most likely order something from them again.

I have placed two orders with Surplus Center. Prices range from reasonable to low except that I was able to find lower prices for hydraulic fittings elsewhere. Both orders were complete and delivered in a timely fashion. I have no experience with customer service or return issues. Would I order from them again? Sure, no problem.

I just bought the 5/8" X 250' mean green hose. What a great product. I live in the country and needed a long hose. Been using the same hose for 10 years. Now time will tell how this product will stand up.I've used urethane hoses for air compressor and they have held up well. I just ordered the made in USA stainless steel hose reel to house the new hose. Looking forward to getting this.

I was skeptical of ordering tracks online at first. However, bobcat dealer wanted about double for their tracks. These guys offer fantastic customer service, the shipping only took 3 days, and I am in love with my new Z pattern tracks. They seem to be just as good of quality as bobcat rubber. I will buy again.

I have made Sanitary Fittings my "go to" fitting source. Fair prices and fast response time, on my orders, makes my life easier and gets the needed fitting into service as fast as I need it. Lets put it this way, it took the Memphis Better Business Bureau and 30 days to receive a refund for a part they never delivered. Never answered 12 phone calls over 12 days nor multiple emails. Found the same part they charged $38 before shipping locally 5 miles away for $18 I finally rece3ived an email from them-- We got the part back last week and you have been refunded. You are no longer a victim so please stop accusing us of bad things.

I needed 2 bearings for the fan in my air purifier. Checked Home Depot, Lowe's, and every hardware store in my area but no one had them. Looked online and discovered the Big Bearing Store and very glad I did. Found the size bearings I needed in no time at all. The prices are great and you can order bearings in any quantity you want. If you place your order before noon they will ship it the same day. Every other site I went on shipped the next day. They also have many shipping options to choose from. I chose USPS priority mail for just $3.41. My order was shipped on Monday and I received it on Thursday. The bearings were just as described and seem to be great quality. Can't comment on customer service because I did not have to communicate with them. Highly recommend The Big Bearing Store!

WARNING!!! BEWARE if you're thinking about purchasing a generator from Norwall. I ordered a whole house generator, but there was hidden damage on the back portion of the lid. I was told by Norwall staff that the box covering could be removed by sliding if off from the top to fully inspect. That was not the case. Instead,a thick wooden crate was attached to the box using industrial staples and nails. If you want to find any concealed damage, Norwall expects you to PRY away the wooden crate using a hammer, heavy screw driver, crow bar, and utility knife, while the delivery carrier waits (about 20 minutes are so). Doesn't matter if the box is ripped up and the wood frame is destroyed. Norwall considers this a reasonable expectation for the customer to inspect the unit. The sales manager was rude and unprofessional. Replacing the lid (around $300) for a $3,800 generator for other companies would be good business practices,not Norwall. So BEWARE! Rip that crate open and inspect! You've been WARNED!

Our experience with Norwall power systems was not what we expected. We paid well in advance. About $11k in advance. They were supposed to ship to SAIA in Laurel, Md. and we would pick the generator up at their dock without a 3rd party shipper. Norwall messed up the whole delivery by not filling out the bill of lading correctly. The generator ended up going to a 3rd party shipper anyway. The 3rd party shipper DID NOT have a long fork forklift, so they could not load our trailer from the rear of the trailer. They wanted to set the generator on stacked pallets, then push it into our trailer!! Total Fred Flintstones at RDX Freight!! This is exactly what we were trying to avoid. Norwall customer service today 3/25/20 was unbelievably rude, in so many words blaming ME for trying to inspect the delivery ( in their invoice legal baloney, they tell you to inspect the delivery and it's contents, like the fright container in comes in. Today they said you can't do that.Lots of double talk in the invoice wording)) and the prime shipper for the shipping problem, and then tried to chastise me by giving me a lesson in logistics syntax... when the bottom line is, it was Norwall who made this mistake all along. End of story.Totally unapologetic, basically it was my fault not theirs. Once you send your cash to Norwall you are pretty much on your own. If you are shopping price, their prices are good, if that's all you need. If you also need customer service and like to deal with nice people, you won't be happy doing business with these people. They are absolutely not friendly, held harmless for everything and anything,rude and the customer service is non-existent. Oh yea they started to add an extra freight charge to their "free freight" advertising, but don't tell you upfront. Do business with them at your own risk.

Ordered a jointer with a 3 month back order. When time for delivery approached I called to find out when it would be shipped. They told me there was a 2 month further delay. As the revised delivery approached I called them again and I was told of another 2 month delay. Ridiculous. I cancelled the order and ordered from a well known high end brand. Yeah, it cost more, but I received the jointer promptly. I've totally lost faith in Grizzly. Even if I had waited for their jointer, I'd be concerned that parts would be unavailable if I ever needed to make repairs. Grizzly didn't just loose one customer. It will be my mission to tell all of my woodworking friends, acquaintances, and students of my unpleasant experience. I don't like the way I was treated.

Hello , I was very impressed by the reply I got from Zak, it explained things in a way easy to understand , and was exactly the advice required , as Zak suggested I connected multimeter set at v ac to black and grey leads from magneto , pulled starting rope several times , meter did flicker up many volts , but not convinced I tried holding leads in my hand an pulling rope as fast as possible ,but absolutely no shock , tried connecting leads to low wattage 12 volt bulb , again absolutely no flicker of light , I am thinking I may require one of your magneto units , Again thanks for very helpful advice .

I spoke with a gentleman named Simon who was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I could not locate a much needed oil seal on the website. After hanging up with Simon I received an e-mail within minutes. That e-mail contained the part number for that oil seal. I ordered 4 tapered bearings and two of those oil seals. Not a big order by any means but, I was treated like I was buying the whole catalog. As a bonus, the order was shipped to me in the U.S. for the same price I usually pay to have something shipped within the U.S. and, it arrived within a week. Thank you Simon! By the way, these are for the front spindles on an Austin Healey Frogeye Sprite.

I liked the personal touch, and the help to determine my needs and the frankness about, 'to be expected details' concerning my warranty (After the pump had gone out in just 11 months). I would have given a 5 star rating, but was amazed that the pump was only warranteed for 1 year. Thought that was poor. But everything else I liked. Especially Chris Worst. I would buy again, but would first scout around for a longer warranty period. A side note: The pump was only used for 6 of the 7 mo's since we are not at this site year round. Our previous pump had lasted 22 years. Happily however, the warranty was honored by RC Worst Co. This was not our only purchase. Except for my previous reservation, I would highly recommend buying from this company.

Stannah installed a stairlift for my stepmother: after 7 months, it stopped halfway up the stairs and beeped loudly. She couldn't get it to move, but managed to get to the top of the stairs, with great difficulty. We visited & switched the stairlift off to stop it beeping. An engineer visited & said one battery was faulty; he replaced both. We were then invoiced, for £212.74! We have now explained to them five times that it was switched off after it had failed, but the company keep ignoring this completely and insisting that the battery went flat because it was switched off. They also have ignored the horrifying fact that my stepmother could have been stuck half-way up the stairs, possibly for several days, until someone next visited. We no longer have any confidence in Stannah and definitely do not recommend them: instead of just admitting that they fitted a faulty battery, they are determined to ignore the facts and insist that we caused the problem, by switching it off after it had failed.

My 71 year old mum leaves on her own and the only way to get upstairs is via her lift. This broke down, which happens. She called the emergency number and an engineer attended quickly, but didn't really know what he was doing. He rushed around an told her what he thought the issues was and would have to order a part to fix the lift. Was told it would take until the following week to get the parts from North England (really!). Mum complained and managed to get them two days, when the next engineer turned up he took a proper look and send it was actually something else. Mum was again told that it would be a further week before the parts could be delivered as they don't work at weekends!!! Anyway she now has the parts and is waiting for an engineer (having called 3 times this morning before getting through to the emergency operator)... Just not good enough, people have lifts for a reason!!! Should be ashamed of the service you have provided Stannah...

We sent a list of parts we no longer used on Jan. 11, 2017. On Jan. 23 Santa Clara sent us a purchase order for the agreed upon price. On February 23, we sent them an invoice for the parts. We have contacted them several times about payment. We received 1 email stating that the person handling our account had been out of the office and would take care of payment. It is now April 18th and we can't get anyone to respond to phone messages or emails. I have requested to either pay the invoice or send our parts back. Still waiting on a response.

Their price was half that from Taig's local distributor, and less than any other internet source including eBay. Couldn’t identify the model number on my pump tag so I emailed pictures of the pump to a salesman and he was able to figure out my model. I needed a replacement pump ASAP and other places couldn’t/wouldn’t help me without a model number. Highly recommend these guys!

Booked in this company to dig some stump holes, told would send most experience operator, when the holes were completed some were not drilled straight and we had to get our builder to fix them, which took another day. Operator was not given the correct equipment to complete the job so it took longer than it should of. Made complaint to the head office, which were fobbed off. Would not recommend this company!

I have been very kind to Coates in Burnie Tasmania in this rating as they don't even deserve a one-star rating! This is what I received back as a reply regarding my enquiry about hiring a tall ladder - (me stating in my enquiry that we do not have the capacity with our ordinary 6-cylinder sedan to pick it up from Burnie, we living in Smithton, Tasmania, a one hour's drive each way on an open country highway) - words to the effect that the hire of the ladder is $45.69 per day and transport is $275 inc each way, so the total would be $595.69 and that if I want to organise my own transport I can. Coates obviously must use a limousine service to do deliveries! How ridiculous! How can they even suggest such an outlandish and exorbitant price for delivery when Bunnings can deliver for $40 from Burnie to Smithton! And Allans Nursery in Launceston charges $30 from Launceston to Smithton! Wake up Coates! If you can't be bothered doing deliveries, just say so, and don't resort to writing such ludicrous contents in return emails. That being said, I will never consider using your business again - and, of course, I will tell all my friends of my experience with you and advise them of the same!

I hired a 2 man post hole digger to dig 10 x 1metre x 200mm holes to erect 10 x 2.4M posts in a flood damaged farm fence in the country. Coates quoted a good "higher price", also, they allowed me to collect the unit on Friday afternoon to enable me to start very early on Saturday morning. We managed to get 4 posts set up, no problems. On the 5th hole the digger started to "play-up". It started turning the auger very slowly, therefore, we had to help it by crow-baring the hole so that the machine would lift the dirt out of the hole. As we progressed along to each hole to be dug, the machine operation worsened, with the result we finished up digging the last 2 holes by crow-bar and shovel. Instead of the job taking approximately 4 hours, it took until 6 pm to finish. The next day at home I cleaned the machine and auger. On the Monday morning early, I returned it to Coates Hire Somerton. When I explained what happened to the Manager, he apologised to me for the inconvenience. He thanked me for cleaning the machine (which wasn't hard to do) and refunded my money, apologising once again. I would go back to them for hiring of equipment, because they provided Excellent Customer Service and accommodated my hire requirements without any fuss. Neither of us were to know that the machine was to give trouble as when we tested it there was NO SIGNS of possible troubles. It operated perfectly. I say THANK YOU to the Manager at Somerton for his help and EXCELLENT SERVICE.

Minor packaging problem with my order, not the fault of Hilltop Products but dealt with by Shaun at Hilltop in a matters of hours, not days or weeks as is often the case with many companies. I bought an electric start mower for my mother in law for Christmas as at 65 she was struggling to start her mower, she did not use it until around march time due to the weather, after first use the self propelled lever stopped working as the belt had slipped due to a faulty build, after we reported it to machine direct we were posted out a belt and the upgraded kit 3 weeks later and was told to fit it, so basically we were told we had to strip it down and rebuild it. after declining and asking for a refund as we have seen many of the same mowers with the same issue. we where told this was not possible as it was past 30 days, now some 3 months further on we have been passed from pillar to post and are now battling a refund through another option. Not something you should have to do after buying a new item.

We have had a McDonald's cylinder for 8 years storing hot water from a solid fuel stove in winter, solar panels in summer and topped up via a gas boiler as required. Recently a problem relating to the overheat radiators and solar panel system led to a call to McDonald's for advice. Bruce was fantastic, taking the time to listen, checking photos and calling back as promised. His clear advice gave me the confidence to make an adjustment which has solved the problem. I am chuffed to bits! It's rare these days to find good technical advice at the end of the phone, so many thanks to Bruce and well done McDonald's.

I cannot comment on reliability as the thermal store I recently purchased has only been in place for 6 weeks but in all other respects McDonalds have been fantastic. My need was for for a bespoke Thermal store in terms of its size as it had to go into the loft through a narrow access flap. It was absolutely no issue to have the rectangular tank made longer, narrower and taller than the standard size. This was discussed on the phone and followed up with a full drawing. The tank arrived from Scotland within about 5 days I cannot recommend them too highly

Ordering on line was good. one problem Was the street 90 was not a factory part it was cut down and a nipple was glued in. This reduced the pressure rating of this fitting and also increased the dimensions of the overall size. I asked for the proper fitting and was told they did not exist. I know for a fact that they are available. I also asked your rep for factory certification of pressure and factory approval of this fitting. This I did not receive. Hands down, dealing with Scott from Elite Metal Tools was a great experience. He was on it every step of the way. No hassle price, quick freight shipping, and he followed up right through delivery. I am new to Elite Metal Tools, and they certainly won over a new customer. Thanks Scott! As for the Dake SE712, well, its just OK. I selected a Dake, as (I thought) they were all made in the USA...but not the SE712 or SE912 models. They are just another import machine; so I was a bit naive in my selection, but that is completely on me. The pallet arrived via FedEx Freight in perfect condition. The saw was well packed. Once unpacked, I found the configuration slightly different than the manufactures website description...the unit pictures at Dake had a front handle and the saw that arrived has this feature omitted (for safety purposes according to Dake and they have since removed that picture from their website). The instructions are nearly useless, you can tell they were not written in the USA. The saw teder-totters slightly on my shop floor, as the four wheels have no "slack" or adjustment that my previous saw's adjustable feet had. I'm guessing the fabrication of the base is not completely square, and there is no adjustment. The head bow blade guard cover was slightly warped, which cause minor interference when the saw closes and comes to rest on the base (which also has scratched the paint). I was able to bend it back in place to an acceptable position. The vertical table was missing the support bracket and hardware...of which I'm still trying to resolve with Dake. When opening up the saw head to the vertical position, there is a slight rocking of the entire head on the axle connecting it to the base of the machine. There is not adjustment to correct and the motor is so heavy, I am guessing the tolerance is not tight, hence cause the slight yielding. And with the machine on (4) wheels, it moves freely when working the head to align up for a cut. Again, it the front had footrest vice wheels, this wouldn't occur. Short of that, the saw did come equipped with a Lenox Classic bi-metal blade and a gallon of Trim Sol concentrate coolant solution. The operator controls are sealed in an industrial enclosure with industrial machine control buttons. In the initial test cuts to break in the blade, the down feed works well, but the auto stop needed slight adjustment. Although flimsy, the chip brush does an adequate job removing chips. The vice works well and fairly set up for accurate cuts. The belt guard cover is only attached with a pair of machine screws to the casting on the head, so it vibrates when the machine is running. I have made about (20) cuts in some mild steel square tubing to break in the blade and the saw has performed well. Out of curiosity, I compared my Dake to a Grizzly G0561 and found them to be the EXACT same machine (with some minor features like the control box, front handle, paint color!). In fact the parts manuals are the same exact document with the same numbers! To think for $900 less, I could of had the same machine in Green versus Black :( For now, I will settle for my purchase. And don't forget, Scott and Elite Metal Tools are AWESOME!!

I purchased an Oliver 4420 16' thickness planer from elite tools. Although I havent received the actual machine yet this is more a review of Elite Tools than it is the Oliver 4420. I will post a complete review of that machine once I get it. I contacted Elite Tools along with 4-5 other companies while doing research on the Oliver 4420. I had a very hard time finding information on this particular machine. I talked with three different people at Elite Tools at various different times and all three were polite, knowledgeable, and most of all helpful. I was given a very detailed quote by email within minutes after hanging up the phone. They were able to beat every other price I received. Other companies were $100-$500 dollars more expensive! So we are not talking just a couple of bucks here. Not sure how they were able to offer such a low price but I am not complaining. I was able to get my machines delivered to a residential area with lift gate service. I do not anticipate any issues but I am confident if there is an issue with the shipping help and a solution is just a phone call away. I would not hesitate to both recommend or use the company again if need be. I will update the post if anything takes place that changes my opinion but I don't anticipate that being the case.

I asked if the license was valid for NY state, they replied is valid in all US and CA. I paid and started the training, took me about 3 hours, very easy and user friendly! Purchased a Walrus HQ800 pump for a backup pump. Went to install the pump 60 days after purchase and the pump was damaged by the manufacture during assembly. Notified Plastic Mart 60 days after delivery with pictures showing this was a manufacture defect. Plastic Mart denied any exchange or resolution since it was past the 30 day sale date. Save yourself headache and purchase from another source.

I ordered a 40 gallon tank for my RV.from Plastic-mart.com. The tank came when they said it would. The tank is great and the outlets are located as the drawing indicated. The greatest advantage ordering fron plastic-mart over other companies is the drawings, discription of the tank and location of the fittings on the tank and also the price location was very well organized. I purchased a Snorkel TB47J from BoomLifts4Sale on eBay 12/04/18 the Lift was advertised to be in full working condition. I received the Lift 12/06/18 and it seemed to be in great condition and I was very excited to start using it in the next few days. On 12/09/18 I tried to use the Lift and found out the throttle control was non-functional, when I contacted BoomLifts4Sale I was put in touch with *, who at that time seemed very helpful. He asked me to do some diagnostics and after doing so we determined that the throttle control electronics were broken and that he would immediately get one shipped to me. At this point I thanked him and said this would work. After waiting for two weeks with no communications from BoomLifts4sale I called * and he said he had ordered the part prior to Christmas, and that it had been back ordered. He said it would be coming soon. Again with no feedback from BoomLifs4sale I called Jan/5/19 to find out where my part was so I could actually use my Lift, I was told by the office that my part had been accidentally shipped to them instead of me but that they would ship it out the next day to me directly. It is now Jan/29/19, I have no part, they have sent me no correspondence and are not answering my calls nor emails to find out what is going on. So after spending more than $16,000.00 on this Lift on Dec/6/2018 I still have a non-working Lift with a company that does not seem to care nor honor their commitments. I am now working with eBay to get this resolved, I would not purchase anything from Matt or his company BoomLifts4sale again. I gave them a 2 stars because other than this throttle control issue the Snorkel is a good unit in good condition. ON 3/10/16 I WIRED TO THEIR BANK $46,100 FOR TWO INVOICES FOR ONE "GREAT CONDITION" 80' MANLIFT AND TWO REFURBISHED JLG SCISSOR LIFTS. AFTER 3 MONTHS THEY FINALLY SHIPPED THE 80' MANLIFT AND IT WAS DEFECTIVE FROM THE MOMENT IT ARRIVED. AFTER SPENDING $6K ON REPAIRS IT FINALLY WORKS BUT I EVEN WENT AS FAR UP THE MANUFACTURERS CORPORATE LADDER THAT I SPOKE TO THEIR NEW NORTH AMERICA DIVISION CHIEF. HE SAID HE KNEW OF THIS "DEALER" AND DIDN'T HAVE ANYTHING GOOD TO SAY. AFTER OVER 50 EMAILS TO THIS "DEALER" AND NUMEROUS LEGAL THREATS THEY FINALLY SHIPPED THE SMALLER SCISSOR LIFT. THEY ARE SO DISORGANIZED THEY SHIPPED A GENIE INSTEAD OF A JLG AS I HAD PAID FOR. THEY SAID THEY WOULD REPLACE IT AND IT'S BEEN A YEAR, OVER 76 EMAILS, AND A POLICE REPORT WITH ORANGE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE (CASE#16-070460) IN AUGUST 2016. MATTHEW (HE EVEN WROTE A FALSE REVIEW FOR HIS COMPANY ON SITEJABBER UNDER "MATTHEW B") AND EVELINE, FROM THE HOUSTON OFFICE, HAVE PROMISED OVER 14 TIMES THAT THE EQUIPMENT IS ON ITS' WAY. I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN THAT THIS COMPANY WAS FISHY WHEN HE ASKED ME TO GO OUTSIDE OF EBAY TO DO THE DEAL. I HAVE ALSO BEGUN A CASE WITH EBAY AFTER THEY INITIALLY DENIED THE CLAIM BUT THEN THEY SAW THE POLICE REPORT. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY BECAUSE THEY ARE TRYING TO SCAM OTHERS AS WELL.

I ordered $50k in modular platform components online. shortly after placing the order, I called the branch and main office to make sure the order was being processed. I check again 22 days later. The website says the items are available for pickup, so I call to arrange for pickup of my order at the branch. Guess what......the items had not even moved from the manufacturer. NOTHING had happened in 22 days. No phone call or email notifications - NOTHING! So what is the point of having an online system that obviously does not work?
