I placed my order ~10 days before christmas because they said that they could process the order within 1-2 days. My order shipped the 21 and arrived the 27. I ordered two knives for a little over 50 dollars, which made me eligible for free shipping. I paid 10 dollars to have a 1 pound package delivered too late. RAWR

I found the Opinel-usa experience to be great aside from one thing. The prices and turn around time on orders is excellent. However, the website layout and interface could use an update. Opinel makes wonderfully simple, well-built knives and it would be great if the Opinel-usa website reflected this craft and simplicity. As it stands, the website is clunky and cluttered.

My first Opinel #8 was purchased in a weekly market somewhere in France in the 1970's. It served me well for years of travel, backpacking and general use. Alas, it was lost a couple of years ago, but I look forward to having many adventures with my new #8.

I ordered three #6 Olive Wood Opinel knives with inscription. They all arrived on time, and as expected, the knives were beautiful! The olive wood was a good schoce since it made the inscritions stand out. They are very light, but well made with carbon steel blades that arrived in very sharp condition. i applied oil to all three blades for preservation.
