After 53 deliveries I eventually gave up on MakeGoodFood.ca (MFG) According to their automated email response to a subscription cancelation request, which took 36 hours, I have been a loyal customer with %X deliveries. The actual amount is 53 deliveries, but this error in automation is telling. Experiences of note: - Deliveries to the wrong address - Missing deliveries completely but charging me - Missing parts or entire meals in delivery - Rotten food in delivery - Overcharged on CC - no customer service, just meaningless automated responses I canceled after three major screwups in a row, they offered nothing except an automated response. So last Jan about 10 months after we canceled, we receive a marketing offer via direct addressed mail. This was a "GoodFood New Year 100" offer for clients who have canceled. This is commonly known as a “win-back” offer. Here was our experience: Tried to login into makegoodfood.ca and could not “Account not found” Tried to set up a new account “That account already exists” Tried to change the password “No Facebook account found” (I don’t have a Facebook account and didn’t click on “login via Facebook”) Emailed support with a description of the problem - no response for a week Online chat unavailable midday EST, so tried to email support again - no response another week Tried online chat “We notified IT and they will get back to you in 24-48 hours” - no response after two weeks This is where we should have given up but my wife who is more patient than I tried the online chat again. Online chat is available! So an hour of back and forth on the chat and “good” news! We got your account working again Yes!! I get the privilege of being able to log in to their site! Lucky me! I was angry that they still had all my sensitive info as I really don’t trust MGF’s IT abilities Tried to meal select and for some reason, it only give me the option to order three meals, check the payment section and it was charging for four meals…and then wait! Whatever happened to the "GoodFood New Year 100" offer?! Emails are ignored and online chat seems disabled. I threw in the towel, I tried to give them my business back but MFG got me beat! I think when things work it can be convenient and well, ok. If something goes wrong, best of luck as MFG won’t help you and you will simply get an automated response trying to pretend to be real. The time saving you gain for using MGF’s services will be given back with lengthy support attempts.

This review is for the replacement order because the first order for 2lb of frozen lobster meat tasted old and could not eat it. It took my review for them to respond to my phone calls and email. They replaced the two lbs of frozen lobster meat with another 2lb of frozen lobster meat. Arrived frozen and on time( same as last order). Unfortunately, it also was old tasting and had to be throw away. I gave 5 different people a tail to try. I wanted to be sure it wasn't me with a tasting problem. 4/5 spit it out immediately. The 5th person took two bites..put the rest in the trash and said it tasted old and slightly moldy. I can only comment on the frozen lobster meat.

Ordered a cake for my sons 21st. Had added a message to fo on the cake but when it arrived it was blank. I called them and they said i had to purchase a £5 disc for the message to go on. But it wasnt clear at all. Found the website very confusing.

Ordered 2 boxes for half price as an intro and cancelled subscription straight away and was told that any in process orders would be cancelled. 2 days later I got a notification that 2 more boxes that I didn't select were being prepared. Since this one was also half price I left it. First 2 boxes were fine. Nothing particular sensational and ok for the price but wouldn't pay full price for them. Ingredient cards don't give you measures and some of the ingredients (like sauces) don't tell you the quantity on the bag so wouldn't be able to easily recreate the recipe if you wanted to. Second lot of boxes came and one of the bags wasn't sealed. The tape was on but was put on too short so didn't seal the bag. One bag was also greasy and ripped open where it was wet but none of the ingredients had leaked so just moved to a new bag. The chicken thighs for one recipe were incredibly fatty and smelt strongly of eggs. My wife noticed it smelt as soon as she walked in the door. This recipe also clearly sent twice as many noodles as were required which ruined it anyway. I ended up throwing it away because the chicken still tasted off and when I looked it up afterwards egg smell is a sign that the chicken has gone off. So many noodles that the flavour was gone anyway.

It clearly says on their website that any payments will be refunded but it’s a lie. Terrible. Avoid! I purchased through Living Social. On the day the boxes arrived, I went on their website to ensure that I hadn't subscribed. I went into my account details and they did not list any bank account details for me. To be on the safe side, I emailed to cancel and also cancelled the subscription on their website. They replied by saying that they had cancelled my subscription but couldn't refund the money for the order for the 1st July. Their email says that my menu choices were locked in - I DIDN'T MAKE ANY CHOICES!!! The money was deducted from my account after I sent them the email. Very shoddy service, I am going to be sent four menu choices which I didn't choose and don't fancy! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE CHARGED FOR FOOD THAT YOU REALLY DON'T WANT AND PROBABLY WON'T USE!!!

I am very very disappointed with this company and absolutely disgusted with the same standard automated replies to my many emails that I have sent them. Yes many companies had issues due to coronvirus but every single other company has sent my orders to me and acknowledged my order in the first place. Not Gooseberry though..no email no text to say order on it's way. Yet they took my money straight away! This was on 7th April. That's over 3 months now. Not a happy customer. I have rung customer service and guess what...no reply. I have left a message. So Gooseberry please contact me ASAP to arrange my immediate refund otherwise this will be going further

This shop is based in Lincoln and I was trying to find something interesting to say thank you at Xmas to some people. I came across the cheese hamper of Lincolnshire cheeses with plum bread. They delivered as scheduled in lovely boxes. The recipients were over the moon with them. Highly recommend ordering from them as they are also super efficient at replying to any queries you may have. Can’t wait to visit their cafe on my next trip to Lincoln.

I still have not received my products. I accidentally entered the wrong post code and have been trying to get the products redirected or refunded since. Given the error, I expected to wait a few weeks, not months to receive them. I’m told they are with the courier but as each week goes past, I’m less confident that I will receive the products or a refund.

I love the Wean meister pods and Adora bowls both mini and big, it’s so nice to use these for the exciting time of introducing solids. The scoopsy bowl and plate are also a nice addition, easy to clean and also doubles as a chew and play toy which my 7 month only loves! I could just keep buying all of these in every colour!

I've tried Pasta Evangelists a few times and I've always found the dishes delicious but they've really stepped their game up with their summer menus! Love being able to discover new dishes from the different regions in Italy and they have done some beautiful summer flavours recently. Portion sizes are generous too, me and mum love sharing a dish for a light lunch in the garden. Would recommend.

Terrible. Made an order for spuds, onions and garlic. The onions turned up a few weeks later, back end of September, when I specifically asked for them to be sent with the spuds in Spring. The garlic, which I needed soon, didn't come at all. I was promised a refund, two weeks ago, and still have not received it and am having to consider further action. This used to be a good company. Avoid.

This was through Ebay. It never arrived via royal mail. Supposedly tracked but the tracking number did not work. The company admits that the parcel may have been left in the doorstep. But have no proof of this, like a photo (as amazon do). If it was left on the doorstep, on a street, that is hardly a secure delivery. Easily stolen, if it ever arrived. Which i i doubt. We can open a dispute on august 2nd, which we intend to do. Avoid at ALL costs. No customer service other than ling drawn out excuses and delivery service completely unadequate and wide open to theft from the step of the property. It was your reply which said the parcel would have been left on the doorstep. If you are using a tracked service , use one which doesnt leave packages in unsecure locations. That isnt a tracked service regardless of covid 19. Also accept responsibility and refund monies owed. Read the last few reviews and posts on your facebook page. Missing items, damaged items and no refunds. This isnt an isolated incident. Neither is your frankly rubbish customer service. Have you actually read your reviews lately?

Paid a premium for pork products. Eg pork belly~ 70% of them fat instead of meat. Same as mince pork. Called customer service, was told it depends on pig and when they slaughter them. Also was told want to give pig some life hence tend to slaughter when they grow big.. Hence we got to pay premium for buying majority fat. Unless its mentioned clearly on website, dont think it's what consumers pay to buy. It's a balance for animals welfare and what we buy to eat. We dont pay to buy mostly pork fat.

We ordered a cake for my Granddad as a lockdown surprise. Unfortunately the delivery firm left the cake outside in the sun on the hottest day of the year and didn't notify us that it had been delivered for 4hrs. The cake (which was filled with buttercream) was inedible. What was worse was the reaction of the company (Amy) who was incredibly condescending in her responses and essentially told us it was tough and the cake would have been fine sat in the sun all day! AVOID!

There is always plenty of choice with great offers to be had. Ordering is simple and delivery is always on the day and time selected. Great quality meat and fish cut to generous proportions that tastes as good as it looks. In the absence of a 'real' local butcher these products are far better than anything you will find on the shelves in a supermarket.

I ordered a rolled and boned turkey for 3 people, paid a non-refundable £20 deposit and got a full turkey packed in a box. With 10 people waiting to be served, I didn't want to make a fuss. I took the turkey I didn't order and paid £ 74. Somewhat puzzled and upset, I forgot to thank and say "merry Christmas" to the lady, who in turned managed to place two inappropriate sarcastic remarks in front of everybody. Miserable experience.

ordered a range of boxed Christmas chocolates from Thorntons on 15th December with the assurance of maximum 5 day delivery. They were to be delivered to a relative for distribution before Christmas. I was told by my relative that the chocolates had not been delivered on the 29th of December, so I called them. They knew immediately when I gave the order number that the large parcel had been "lost". Of course I asked them to put the money back into my account and was told after being on hold for 6 minutes that this would take a few work days to achieve. I wonder if I hadn't called them would they have repaid the money. Doubt it. Beware

I purchased the £29 monthly box subscription. I wasn't expecting to want to write a review but I'm so disappointed, here it is, 1The total retil value of the cheeses received was less than half this, approximately £12. The packaging the cheese were sent in was entitrely inappropriate. A standard non insulated box with a few cool packs that had completely defrosted in transist. One of the cheeses, a type of brie had turned to a gooey mess, the remaining cheeses looked sweaty and unappealing because of the temperature. This is completely unacceptable, and avoidable. My final gripe that would otherwise be a non-issue had the cheese been ok is that there was an absurd amount of junk mail included in the package.

I have ordered this cake online 3 weeks before my mom's birthday, just to be sure about the delivery date. The parcel came in a very nice box, wrapped 3 times so it could remain perfect and the surprise was huge :) My mom was extremely happy about the presentation and about the taste. As soon as I asked for a slice photo, I was informed that the cake had been eaten, it seems it is too delicious to resist longer. The reviews website does not allow me to post photos, however, I can assure you the delivered product exceeds the expectations. Therefore, I am a happy customer and will definitely come back to this shop. Highly recommended!

Fabulous chocolates, you’d never know they don’t contain milk or sugar? I have a extremely limited diet and chocolate is my one vice and I was told I couldn’t eat dairy or sugar... I had to find a chocolate without either....not an easy task ? Then I came across Beauty Bar chocolates.... seriously delicious, a bit pricey but worth every penny!!! Fantastic, high quality chocolate made with great care and TLC! Each little bar is such a teat! I have a piece or two every day. Orders are shipped quickly and well packed. We had an order go out during a summer heatwave and the (chocolate) gems arrives quickly and unharmed! Additionally, Candice provides personal customer service (feedback) which I so appreciate. I know once her company has grown, this gets past on forward. However, for NOW, I am treasuring and enjoying immensely the VIP treatment. ?

I couldn’t be happier with our Cherub Baby Sippy cups. Not only are they easy to clean and the healthiest option, so I’m happy as a mum, but my daughter loves them. The first day she had one she fell asleep, twice, with it in her hands. She also drinks more with them then with other Sippy cups and drink bottles. These remind me of the milk biscuits I had as a kid. Now my daughter and I have these. We like all the flavours. My son doesn't like them but he also doesn't like milk so no surprise really. Good service, look forward to the next discount!

Very disappointing company Not worth the 1 star, Order place 6th june payment taken. STILL Waiting, emailed several times tried to phone several time all to no avail, no communication at all. My order value is almost £50 which had been taken from my account very annoyed with these people MY ADVISE DONT USE THEM.

You may find very exotic yet all practically useful plants which will definitely enrich your life. I did not find another company who is a par to what Richters Herbs offers.

Had the worst experience and would be sad to see them closed. They refused a small medical disable people shop there due to the so called Mask wearing. There is not a bi-law and it has stated that medical person are excluded in wearing one. Yet they are claiming that only one disable person are permitted in the store. Yet would they know who to help a person who has a seizure or save that person. No I didn't think so. Or calm a person who has a panic act when she/he is lost and can't remember where they are. They need to rethink the policy!!!!

I can not even believe how gross this tea tastes. I bought two kinds for 6-something $ each! I swear to god you would have a better cup of tea if you brewed grass and bark from your backyard. I would drink it if it was mediocre but it's not. I forget one of them but one was called "protect"... I should have known from the bizarre flavors they paired together but I gave it a shot. I guess they just put ginger in everything and it's so overpowering and gross.

This company has unethical business practices. They advertised a free sample of their product which I signed up to try. I had to enter my credit card to pay for a small shipping fee. Little did I know that buried in the fine print of the sign up procedure, I had signed up for a monthly subscription. I was away on vacation when the first shipment came and when I returned and called Aloha to ask to return the shipment they would not refund my money and only offered me a partial refund. Oh, and after all that, I didn't even like the protein powder. It has an aftertaste and gets really thick (like mortar) when you add iquid!

I have been burdened by two large sweetgum trees in my front yard for over 20 years. I have fought those gumballs and lost until now. I used the Bag A Nut for the first time today and was amazed! No longer will I rake and blow those pesky gumballs. I simply towed it behind my mower and emptied the baskets when they were full. No more all day chore raking and blowing only to do it again next weekend. Thanks Bag A Nut! Ps. looks like I can take a hook and hang it to the side of my garage, out of the way.

Purchased 18" after renting smaller version. We have 15 Sweet Gum trees on our lot and it gets a workout. Performed just as advertised. Recommend the 18" because it makes a perfect path and is easy to control. Assembled in 5-10 minutes out of the box. Well made and thought out. Wish I had thought of it. Buy it now and you will be glad you did!!!!

More than happy to support the Northern fishing fleet and the supporting companies that make it all happen. Love the fresh shellfish Berwick send me and at a very decent price. They use Fedex for their delivery and they are good but other companies are better at communicating the delivery times, I expected my delivery at 6PM but it arrived 3 hours earlier than advised. This is minor and does not detract from the freshness of the food delivered.

Ordered several times and also collected, quality is top notch but love that when you order on line you know the cost but still ensured the quality, calamari is so so much better than had before ( in this country) and love the variety of the platters, I am in heaven as a seafood lover, but would say to anyone , the value and quality is tops xxx
