Anthony upgraded my aging conventional boiler system to a combi system (Baxi). He came round, listened to the problems we had and what we wanted to achieve and he gave his honest recommendation, taking into consideration everything we spoke of. He wasn't pushy and knew his stuff, and came to the house a couple of times on my request. He's very knowledgeable with everything I asked him, and I do ask alot of questions! His work was excellent, VERY conscientious, clean and tidy and left the house in a presentable and livable way at the end of every day. He took away all the old parts of the boiler and cylinder and disconnected and made good all the unwanted pipes in the airing cupboard and loft. And the after service is excellent also! I had a minor issue )that I had caused I might add!) I called and he was there that afternoon to explain what I did wrong and the rectify. And just a few weeks ago, I receive a text from Ant to remind me the boiler needs servicing, no need for me to remember to chase him...making it easy to get the new boiler serviced. He also fitted a vanity unit and sink without any fuss also. For me, I would always call Anthony first for any plumbing, gas and heating issues or projects or new installations I might have. The engineer fitted our new Baxi boiler in 1 day, working an extremely long day to get it finished for us. Our pipes, tanks and other stuff was ancient and obsolete. Not now. He also explained and updated as he went. Recommend him very highly

Top quality gates and service provided by Martin and his team. We are delighted with the quality and standard of the side gates he manufactured and the team were a pleasure to work with. You can get cheaper on line, but likely manufactured in Eastern Europe with little/no quality control. Buy cheap, buy twice. The quality and construction of these gates is light years ahead of similar online ones i’ve Seen in the flesh. Top rate!!!!

I have used GHS 3 times now for 3 different properties. One was full a full central heating replacement, another for a boiler service report and thirdly for an emergency boiler call out. I would not use anybody else. Once you find a company that are responsive and give excellent service why would I look elsewhere and waste my time when they give me everything I require.

The shower door was not centered-it was off by a 1/2 inch-so it did not line up with the end of the tile accent in the shower area. It seems very obvious when you look where the hinges were secured to the wall...the tile accent extends a 1/2 inch. When the installers came back to see the discrepancy they argued with the contractor about the placement of the door...the accent tile extends past the door a 1/2 inch; had the door been positioned exactly in the middle of the saddle then the door and tile would have lined up perfectly...will unfortunately have to live with it!

Spotted Jeff's van in the village, whilst he was completing another job. I asked for a card and a couple of days later, he came to quote for replacing some "steamed up" windows. His advice was clear and concise, his quote was very reasonable and with little hesitation, we asked him to proceed. A good decision. The work was done expertly, he was very polite, patient and most concerned to leave the jobs in a clean and tidy condition. Not only that, but he had spent some time, to locate and modify a replacement, for a broken window handle, which we happened to mention. I had no hesitation in giving Jeff 5 stars for a truly excellent service.

I have been using glue for around 12 months now and have had no issues at all. The convenience of having a smart lock has got me out of many sticky moments. I don't need to worry about getting spare keys cut for our cleaner or forgetting my keys at work and having to take the hour long journey back to the office!

We had a Grant boiler (VortexBlue Combi 26kW) installed half a year ago, thought I’d wait and see what it’s like before reviewing. It works very well, we are really happy. The water is heated up quickly. It’s relatively quiet and seems very efficient. We have also installed a Hive device which works with it perfectly. I would be glad to recommend Grant to friends & family.

Had brand new boiler fitted on 19th March,no heat or water FOUR hours later.Failed TWELVE times in the next three and half days .Engineer who fitted it came back twice but could not solve the problem this was followed by a visit by Grant technical support who changed a circuit board and assured us that it was now fine. EIGHT hours later no heat or hot water. Have been in touch with engineer who fitted the boiler and as it was clearly sold not fit for purpose have informed him that I want it removed. We are both in our mid seventies self isolating and with numerous health problems and are in the position of having no heat or water for the foreseeable future with all the implications thereto. The cost of over £3500.00 is irrelevant as I will not be paying . BE WARNED!!!!

My conservatory, that I use as an office, had an expensive reflective glass roof but the space was unusable in summer due to daily inside temperatures well over 30C. Typically, if it was 24C outside it was 35C+ inside. Greenspace replaced the roof. It was a completely painless process, by nice lads taking less than 1 day (and leaving no mess), despite difficult access. Since installation I’ve been tracking the in/out temperature difference at 3pm every day when the sun is full on the roof and typically there is little or no difference. Right now it’s 29C outside and 28C in. Evidently the Greenspace roof is providing 100% total insultation from solar radiation. Which is the best I could possibly have hoped to achieve. Other options such as a replacement tiled roof were more expensive or lined roof under the glass would have been too heavy and likely have caused heat issues in the roof. The Greenspace panels provide a perfect, immensely strong, good looking, completely effective, engineering solution. They may not be the cheapest option, but I consider them the right one, and therefore excellent value for money.

I bought over 20 replacement handle sets and locks for my 30-year-old house. Rob Matthews helped me find compatible locks from measurements I supplied, replying the same afternoon. I asked Abu (owner) at Handyfox for a quote to remove and replace a washing machine. The job, to a layman like me, would need the disassembly of the cupboard as the space in the bathroom was very narrow (I sent pictures with measurements). Then once the new washing machine and old dryer were replaced, the cupboard would be rebuilt and made good (plastering and painting). The quote given was "£750-950 depending on the amount of carpentry required". OK, so 2 people (washing machines are too heavy for one person and impossible to manoeuvre in the space available), 2 days, you can't paint wet plaster, the second day being a Sunday, this seemed a fair price. The engineer (Handyfoxs title for a multiskilled worker) arrived alone. He decided that he could remove the shower glass instead of the cupboard (no carpentry, a few screws and some silicone to replace it) he also used the tenants wife to help him move the machines (during Covid). In total he was there 7 hours (including lunch). The next day the machine is banging as it was not place correctly and there was a leak. I informed Handyfox and the the next week they sent Abu (an engineer) to fix all the problems, which took 6 hours. Then, I received the invoice, £930 + materials (8% charge is not settled on receipt)! 1 person, no carpentry, substandard work that cost the tenants a second Saturday, all technically completed in 6 hours. Surely this is a mistake, the top end was there if there was carpentry work, so I sent Abu an email. He replied that he would ask the relationship manager. Abu, the owner of the company, customer services and engineer, needs to check with 2nd person (Handyfox is not a Ltd company). Every day I continued to receive the same invoice from Squareup, a payment company. On Thursday Abu email say the relationship manager says 'no'. This is the invoice, it falls within the quote, please pay. Again I raise all of my points stated above. Again, 'no' pay now and we will waive the interest fee. At this point I have paid the invoice feeling I have no alternative and do not want Handyfox to pass this off to a credit company and affect my credit score. In my opinion Handyfox take advantage of the quoting system to manipulate clients in the highest fees. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY unless you want to be ripped off.

Great value and quality, the fitter of the blinds was abrupt upon payment as we didn’t have a card to pay with and time we had chance to say we will obviously pay cash, he was rude and said if you don’t pay I will take them down and go. Seriously this is not the way to speak to client who have just spent A lot of money investing in blinds. Some training in how to speak to customers would be a benefit to one of the older gentleman! Was going to look at doing our other property with blinds but I will seriously have to consider if we want to use this company again due to the rudeness of their blind fitter.

Awful, do not use. I placed an order on 21st October, money taken from bank immediately. Latest delivery date was 10th November, numerous phone calls later was then advised latest would be 18th November for delivery. Now the 17th trying to call for an update and confirmation for delivery tomorrow. Now been on phone for 30 minutes and after being in a holding queue phone started to ring and now no one is answering. I advised them we will run out and husband has heart failure so now had to turn off heating so we can try to keep hot water only. Will never use again. Asked who I can escalate to and “Mark” told me there was no one just him.

Our apartment's design is heavily insulated and we rely completely on the ventilation unit to receive breathable air (i.e. not just a small extractor fan for the bathroom). With us on being on an upper floor of a multi-storey block with an indoor-only cat, just leaving a window or balcony door open for all hours during early-spring for potentially weeks on end was a temporary mitigation we could not feasibly keep up - especially during an extended period of isolation/being forced to stay at home. An initial analysis of the unit by our housing development's maintenance team determined that the circuit board had failed, and thus it was beyond their capabilities to open up & repair the unit. It required a specific part from the manufacturer and a manufacturer-approved technician to install it & rebalance the system. Initial estimates for a callout through the manufacturer were weeks away as feared. HRV had originally installed and commissioned the ventilation unit (according to the sticker on the front of it). So we contacted them and Stuart graciously agreed to acquire the part from the manufacturer and do a callout within 3-5 days - all the while society as we knew it was rapidly shifting. On the day of the callout, Stuart successfully installed the circuit board in the morning as expected (relatively straightforward - by his estimation - 1.5 hour task). However Stuart then discovered that the two motors driving the unit had also failed, perhaps at the same time the circuit board first did. With no incredibly-specific spares on hand, he had to return to HRV's headquarters across on the other side of London to pick up a set (2 hour round trip) and return to complete the job in the mid afternoon. This personal leadership and dedication by Stuart proves that HRV is a service company that puts the needs and wellbeing of their customers first, and we are deeply humbled by his actions. Thank you for all the hard work and your rapid response to our own crisis.

HRV serviced our domestic ventilation system in December 2019. Their quote was very competitive. The service engineer was very efficient and considerate. He took time to explain and show me how to ensure the continued efficiency of the system between annual services. We will definitely continue to use HRV in future.

After an extensive renovation, our builders had incorrectly stained the floor claiming that the finished that we were looking for was 'impossible' and no one could achieved it and that the products were inferior etc etc. I was impressed from my first interaction with HS Wood Flooring - clear, concise pre-sales information, professional review of the damaged floor and what we will need to resolve the issues, clear communication on what to expect whilst the work was undertaken and fantastic post sales advice on maintenance . We now live in the house about 4 month and actually pretty much surprised how smooth and good it went. Recently Huscompagniet (Aarhus department) has buildt a nice house for us and we are very much satisfied about good job they did. Individually due to very good support of Mia Overgaard buggerådgiver during the process of sale and design. She is really dedicated and open to customer demands. The house building was done very fast even faster than the expected time. The byggeleder Kik Eriksen also did a professional job during the construction and even after handing over he kept in touch to make sure every thing works perfect. We appreciate deeply the Company and its dedicated personel and strongly recommend this Company to the ones who are looking for their dream house.

Like the other reviewers here I paid for an order (£8k+) that was taken in December. After I'd transferred the cash I was subsequently told that the heat pump hadn't been delivered from IVT in time for Christmas installation. Instead they installed a different (pre-used, cheaper) heat pump with a promise to swap it out in January. The controller doesn't work and neither do the UHF loops in the main living areas. I have received no communication from them - I know some have had an email. I seriously doubt whether they ever placed my order with the manufacturer as they must have known they were in trouble when they took my money. Unlike some of you at least I have something for my money, but nowhere near what I paid for it. I'm not sure what happens from here and I don't know what will come out of it but I have created Facebook group (search Ice Energy 2017) if anyone would like to share any useful info.

Worst quality ever: our property is a new build, just over 2 years old, and already has 2 windows cracked (most of our neighbours suffer the same issue, 50 properties with issues out of 150). When complaining about the first cracked window (completion March 2016, window cracked July 2016, window replaced May 2017!), Ideal Combi blamed the blinds installer (utterly nonsense), which to satisfy the client (us), paid £1,500 for the manufacturing, transportation and installation of a single window pane. Be aware, Ideal Combi is manufactured only in Denmark (no factory in the UK), so that is a big chunk of the final price. Also, because of that, Ideal Combi complies with Danish regulations but NOT with UK regulations. Finally, Ideal Combi do not know about Health and Safety procedures. When replacing the 1st cracked window (ceiling to floor size), the whole window frame was removed and left our daughter's room completely exposed to a fall from a 2nd floor. The 'engineers' just closed the bedroom door, advised not to enter and left our property for a few hours to work on the replacement window. Shocking! Last but not least, we reported the second window cracked on 29th March 2018; today is 19th of June, still waiting for an answer on when and how the faulty window is going to be replaced. My advise: Stay as far as possible of Ideal Combi, utterly shambles.

We live in spain and ordered x 2 IR panels form these guys, they were shipped within 2 days, unfortunately the transport company at the spanish end lost one of the panels, IHS were on the case very quickly chasing to see where the lost panel was, in the meantime they dispatched a further panel within a few days The two panels are now installed in our kitchen and we are delighted with them Cannot fault the service and the product and would highly recommend IHS

Windows were installed in October 2017, expensive at 15k but they looked amazing. However In March 2018 I noticed that the architrave was coming away from the windows (6 windows in total), splits were appearing at both top and bottom and 2 top sashes are moving. It took 1 month for someone to view the issues, and since then no contact has been made. I have called the company on 4 occasions and whilst call backs have been promised, none have been received. Since initially reporting the issues the window sills are now coming away. Shocking after sales service.....

I have a Rheem HVAC system which got problem and was replaced coil in May 2017. My HAVC is still in warranty so I got a coil part from Rheem, the model is RCF3624HTAMCA, the serial # is W161509105. The coil was down again and caused my Freon leaked this summer, 2018. My home warranty company sent a contractor to check the problem. The AC guy told me the coil Rheem sent last year was a defective one, and American Home Shield request me to refill the Freon on my own which would cost me around $1,000. My unit is still in warranty, but I have spent several hundred bucks for the Freon in 2017. However, the defective coil caused my Freon leak and made me pay another $1,000 bucks for refilling Freon now. I am so disappointed with Rheem now and can’t accept the product quality they offered me. I’ve never seen any other AC brand has to replace coil and refill Freon every year. I want them reimburse my cost on Freon and tried to contact with Rheem customer service via phone and email but neither could help. Their email representatives made me call and their phone representatives let me contact with their contributor. No one can help you when you have problem with your Rheem product.

My first association with JPL Plumbing was in the summer of 2016 when we decided to remove the gas fire and chimney breast from our static caravan. Not only did Jason complete the necessary gas work he also removed the chimney breast, made good the exposed area and fitted a plug-in electric fire. The work was completed to a high standard, in a timely fashion and at a competitive cost. Since that date I have always used JPL Plumbing for the annual works such as the gas safety checks, winter drain downs and subsequent reconnections. Communications with JPL Plumbing is always easy and I have found them to be very accommodating with all my requests. It is a pleasure dealing with both Jason and his wife and I don’t hesitate in recommending their business. In fact I only wish they operated a bit nearer to my permanent address so I could use their services there too.

3 stars due to the fact that our order of 850kg of gravel was delivered on 10th June despite requiring delivery on 26th June! No-one emailed or contacted us to check delivering today was OK with us. Nor did we know it had been delivered until we came in from work! Now we have to try and get hold of a wheelbarrow and get this all moved to the back garden before any gets lifted! Thanks for that guys!!! Not impressed! ????

Ordered over £300 of edging on the 26th April 2020. As of 16th May 2020 I am still awaiting delivery and have received no update since the day the order was made. An e-mail was sent on the 12th May 2020 to request confirmation that the order had been dispatched and an estimated delivery date. As of 16th May 2020 I have received no reply. Unacceptable lack of communication, irrespective of the current pandemic. Following the issues raised above I have been contacted personally by their MD. He was polite, apologetic and has assured me that the order delivery has been expedited. I am satisified that the oversight was simply due to overwhelming current demand, in what are unprecedented circumstances. On this basis I am now happy to recommend them.
