Honest, reliable and no bull, the process from start to finish went smoothly and on time, from the initial home visit right up to the installation and completion I cannot find fault at all, the guys who fitted the windows were outstanding and very professional (they didn't stop for tea, smoke or lunch breaks, they just kept working and at the same time were friendly and helpful) we are more than happy with the quality of the frames and the security locking system is far superior to any other company out there, I have already placed an order for a new front door (my existing one is only 18months old, but the quality is no way the standard) and is being fitted next week. Would I recommend First Home Improvements...YES without any hesitation, I don't normally write reviews for services or purchases but on this occasion I have nothing but praise and gratitude, its what I call 'old school customer service and craftmanship' well done First Home Improvements and a massive thank you.

5l tin of Natural Stone Sealer wet look arrived within 4-5 days with approx 10 dents all over it and a small amount had leaked in the box. Not enough protection (bubble wrap etc) put around the container before it was sent in a small cardboard box. Slightly concerning when the warning signs say flammable, harmful if inhaled, may cause Cancer and genetic defects. Beware of the terrible packaging and couriers who played football with it! Not used product yet, need to purchase a few more items for protection before applying.

I used Flow-Right to remove an old boiler and water tanks and install a new combi boiler. Steve gave me great advice on the job and the price was really reasonable. Jack and Steve were able to complete the job really quickly once I confirmed I would hire them and having Holly to book everything in, keep me up to date and do all of the paperwork is a really nice touch - more trades people would benefit from having this kind of service as I did not have to chase once. Would definitely recommend.

An engineer from this company was supposed to come and see me to quote for a job on 2 separate occasions and both times did not turn up. The first time, no show and no contact but the office were very apologetic and rescheduled. Again, I waited all day.......no show and no contact until the end of the day asking to reschedule. When I said no and mentioned I'd be leaving an online review the engineer became very rude, aggressive and told me they'd take action against me!

Dear Green flame london, After I paid you, I tried to call you from my phone number and you didn't answer me but if I called you from another number other than mine you answered And when you answered and I asked you why the work had not been done in more than two months, your secretary Pamela Gawronska, after trying to pretend not to understand my English, she closed the phone in my face several times in different days I don't think an office administrator takes responsibility for such negligence, more likely instead that the whole agency agrees. I have an email from you where you assured me that the works would be done after my payment, you had already done the check so please don't write ridiculous justifications Thank you for proposing me to do the work (after six months?) But if I needed an agency for my boat I certainly wouldn't call you. It's exactly the reason why I'm reviewing you. PS: I had the work done by another agency that did the job in 32 hours I wasted money, time and patience waiting for them. Had H&C Mechanical in to install new combi boiler in April after a recommendation from a work colleague. Jim and his team we first class. They provided quotes with options on boilers which varied in prices, size, quality etc, they carried out there work efficiently and ahead of estimated time schedule. Stripped out and took away our old system boiler and cylinder and installed a new combi and NEST thermostat. Left house tidy and boiler has been working great. Will definitely use again in future. I have contacted the radiator supplier Kudox direct and they have had no order from Heating Bargains. I have now tried to cancel and I will face a fight no doubt to get my money back. I ordered a radiator on 14th March and it’s still not arrived. I’ve emailed the sales team multiple times and they haven’t responded to me. I tried the webchat but they can’t locate my item. So far I’m out of pocket £160 with nothing to show for it. And there is no phone number to speak to anyone. If you value customer service, based on my experience you are better shopping elsewhere.

We recently bought a flat in London only to discover after moving in that the pub’s outside smoking area was underneath one of the bedrooms. Not noticing this before purchasing as the old window was frosted and had permanent double glazing. Mortified as I loved our new flat but sleep could only happen after 2am ! I then found Hugo Carter Windows. The whole process was so efficient and easy. Someone arrived to measure up and gave me options on frame colours and glass. After a few months once the window had been made 2 more people arrived and installed the window. They originally said it would take 2 days but would leave the window secure, but they worked so quickly and efficiently that they finished in a day. Leaving NO mess and NO sign that they had been there. I am more than happy with the window as it works brilliantly. You can’t hear a thing in that room now and it was the best money I ever spent. I’m now saving up for a rather larger window for another room. If you want sound proof windows, honestly look no further, they are amazing and really do the job.

Contacted by phone Hugo Carter promptly sent a very competent specialist to look at my problem (very poor acoustic and thermal insulation provided by tripled glazed sash windows in bedrooms of a 3rd floor flat overlooking the High Street in a North London borough). This specialist made a very comprehensive recommendation for the installation of secondary windows for a potential noise reduction of >50dB. The "silent" windows were installed (on schedule) by excellent professionals and completely mute all noise coming from the outside....truly amazing! I will definitely recommend Hugo Carter to family, friends and neighbours.

I came accross MisterCool whilst 'Googling' for 911 condensers, for comparitive purposes and my own edification on the subject - I had been quoted £800+ at a local (Cambridge) independent specialist - after being charged £80 for diagnosis, and wondered if this was the going rate, and would indeed solve my AC problem. The MisterCool website was very informative and interestingly for me, with specific information on Porsche. A phone call was all that was needed to know that Justyn was the man for the job despite the proximity. He identified immediately from the symptoms what was needed and clearly had the relevant experience and I would be confident to trust with my car . It was certainly worth the 200+ mile round trip to Derby - a pleasant, accommodating, professional experience, great value and most importantly I am now cool! Many thanks Justyn.

Was recommended Mr Cool by a couple of people who had used him so gave him a call. Came the next day at the time promised, quickly diagnosed the fault and gave me a good price. He couldn't do it there and then but returned again the next day, on time again, and resolved the problem with the aircon in what seemed like a very proffessional manner. All working fine now and at a better price than the garage quoted and I didn't even need to leave home. Good stuff.

I had a new combi boiler installed and old conventional boiler removed, as well as a few other extra bits to be done. I am very happy with the work. Ben understood exactly what I wanted and completed all work to a very high standard and on time. I also had everything explained to me in detail once the job was complete. The price was good too! I would recommend this company and already have... For 8 months this Surveyors firm stuck with me in my many failed attempts to purchase a property. The surveyor Micheal Leslie was wonderful and extremely on point in his reports. If it had not been for this company I would have ended up very likely out of pocket on purchasing a property full of holes so to speak. I have finally secured a property after many months with the help and excellent advice from BHL (Micheal), the suggested specialist companys Micheal advised were very good also and I will be using them. I can only say a massive thank you to Micheal Leslie @ BHL for your patience and supportive words and excellent report that has helped me find my perfect home. I am looking forward to a warm glass of Mulled wine by the fire this Christmas and I will raise my glass to BHL but especially Mr Micheal Leslie.

Bought a Viessmann 100-w from Boilerhut to replace an ancient Glowworm KFB 60 and convert from a conventional boiler/hot water tank to combi. The whole transaction was very easy, Boilerhut's installer arrived promptly on the agreed date. The installation went very smoothly and the installer (Matteo) was very hard working and professional. We were up and running with the new boiler on the same day with all works completed. Very happy with the service and would wholeheartedly recommend this company.

First visit by Jon – same day in response to our email request. Was very knowledgeable and discussed options. He gave a possible date to commence works and informed us that we should allow 2 to 3 days for completion. New boiler would be re-positioned. We were given quotation by Matt for the work to be carried out. Day 1 - the team arrived at 8am on the date agreed and began work straight away. Old boiler, water tank, immersion heater removed. 3 wall heaters on stairs decommissioned. New combi boiler being placed in space left by immersion heater. New pipe work installed. (old tanks and cylinder removed from premises same day). Day 2 – all new electric switches and wiring connected. System flushed; radiators bled, boiler charged and system tested. Clear explanation given on operation of new system. The team worked non-stop and as a result work was completed in just 2 days. There was no mess or clearing up to do as they did that themselves. Price was a quoted. Later same day we received confirmation via email with Manufacturer's Warranty and Building Regulations Compliance Certificate attached. We will definitely recommend boilers direct to anyone.

I approached many shutter companies back in 2016 and eventually went with Danny and his team due to their politeness and honesty to install plantation shutters for my front rooms. The kindness really shone through when he found out about my 8 year old daughter's life limiting illness and how I wanted to provide the best quality of life for the remaining months I had with her. Not only did Danny not take my money, the blinds was installed perfectly and still today allowing beautiful sunshine into our house.

When we were planning to replace 28 windows in our 35-year-old home in Texas three years ago, we checked out 19 window/construction companies at the annual Dallas Home Show. We chose 4 of them to come out and give estimates. Conservation Construction wasn't the cheapest, nor the most expensive, but they were the only ones who noticed issues with the replacement job, and had a plan to remedy them. The windows they offered were of excellent quality, and the warranty is outstanding. Our Dallas-based salesman/agent communicated constantly, answered all our questions, and was there to check on things during the actual work/installation. The work was done quickly, and the workmen took pains not to make a mess. We were very pleased with the job. A week later, the salesman/agent's manager dropped by, inspected the job, and gave us his contact info, promising to be available if any issues came up. There have not been any. In the first year after the windows were replaced, we saw a full 25% reduction in our energy costs, and they have remained at that level for the past 3 years (so there's no question about that first year being milder than usual.) Two years ago we had a hailstorm with softball-sized stones -- it totalled our roof, our patio awning, our metal storage shed, and one vehicle, and even damaged the paint on the Hardie siding on the house. But the new windows came through completely unscathed! We were so happy with that job, that when we did a remodel job that entailed replacing 5 more windows, we went straight to Conservation Construction. Again, the windows are first-rate, the service was outstanding, and the installation was very professionally done. And, again, the salesman/agent's supervisor showed up a week later to make sure we were happy. I can't recommend highly enough the services of Conservation Construction, or the quality of the windows they installed for us. We just built a "summer home" in Oregon, and the builder had to use a local window installer and a different brand of windows. The price was commensurate with what Conservation Construction offers, but the quality was far inferior (multiple manufacturing defects, lower-performance glass, cheaper frames and latches, and multiple installation issues such as drooping windows and a cracked sill.) In addition, the service-after-sale/installation from this vendor is abysmal -- it takes multiple calls to the regional sales manager to get anything done, and then it takes weeks if not months for someone to come out and fix things. I guess we got spoiled by Conservation Construction and their windows, and had expectations that the Oregon vendor/installer couldn't match.

Excellent customer service from Booking team who responded quickly to a to the need to replace leaking gas boiler and had surveyed the site, listened my particular needs that would accommodate a Solar Heating system at a future date, recommended the best available option and arranged interest free ,11 monthly payments for the balance of the outstanding invoice, once the deposit had been made and then had their qualified, ' Gas Certified' Engineer on site at 8.am the following morning to carry out the boiler exchange. Work was completed and system flushed and tested by mid afternoon, in what could be described as,' a challenging site'. I was extremely impressed with the patience and support of the Administration Team, (Mr Prem Kumar ), who guided me through every step of the process and followed up with the Gas Safety certificate, The Warranty registration with the Boiler Manufacturer. There are so many contractors on market right now offering the same services but we decided to go with Done Right Home Remodeling as they did a kitchen renovation for our friends back in 2016. We’re so happy with result! They are true professionals when in comes to kitchen renovation, overall experience was amazing and we’re so thrilled with final results! I ordered a kitchen sink with a quoted delivery time of 1-3 days in the end of July 2016. I spent the next two weeks waiting and being told "it's coming soon" (but only in response when I asked them). After being told "it might come at the end of this week or beginning of next" for the third time, enough was enough. I desperately needed the sink to complete my renovation. But, I was told that there was no way of having the item sent quicker and that there was nothing more they could do. I called the supplier and arranged that they send it to me next day via express delivery. Paying for the delivery was the least Buildor could do, at this point, which they did. I quite literally did their job for them. Somehow it escaped them that the solution to a massive delay and an urgent need for the item, was to arrange a quicker delivery. Customer service was worse than useless. Phone queues took 30-60 minutes. They do respond in the end, and were responsive via the online email form. However, they never provided any useful information or solutions. I never once received an explanation for what caused the delay and I never knew when I would receive the item until I took matters into my own hands.

Our conservatory was far too hot in the summer and freezing in the winter. We had a blue-glass roof and not sure what we could do to make it more useable short of replacing the whole roof for something more solid and at a cost of upwards of £8,000. A friend recommended Conservatory Blinds 4 Less to us and have been thoroughly impressed. Initially I was skeptical, could blinds really work? Dave, the MD, came out to see us and talked us through the product and we ordered then and there. True to their word, less than 4 weeks later we were called to arrange fitting. The difference in heat is amazing. We can now sit in our conservatory and not feel we are melting. We still need to see what the heat retention is like in the winter but really happy so far. The staff are friendly and informative, and made the whole process seamless. I would definitely recommend them.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY Elementshop are an extremely dishonest company. I had 2 faulty thermostats that needed to be returned and replaced. They firstly lied and said that the items would be collected and exchanged by the same couriers, which didn't happen. Then, in order to receive the replacement thermostats, they said that I had to pay for the new ones but would be refunded immediately after collection. When I was ready to send them back, they then said that I had to pay the return postage!! They lied again by saying they don't offer to collect items (EVEN THOUGH I HAVE A SCREENSHOT THAT CLEARLY STATES THAT THEY WOULD COLLECT). When I confronted an incredibly rude and poor excuse of a woman, she lied yet again and said that they never say that. When I directed her to the relevant page on their own website, she said that she was going to remove that statement from my account page before putting the phone down on me!! During all of this, they said that I wouldn't receive an immediate refund as they items had to be tested to establish a fault. I explained that the fault was intermittent and unlikely to occur during a brief test. The same rude and poor excuse for a woman, said that if that happened, the items would be returned to me and no refund would be given. Again MORE LIES! In 32 years, this company is by far, the worse company I have have ever dealt with. They lie and make things up as they go along and then don't remember the previous lies that they told. Then you have to endure the rudeness of their incompetent staff. AVOID AT ALL COSTS AND SHOP ELSEWHERE!!

Although the engineer did a good job I got the impression that he had not been fully briefed? It seems that the admin part of the business is not totally in sync with the engineers. What would have been nice is some form of "welcome pack" with details of guarantee registration, contact numbers for emergency calls at weekends etc.

I contacted First Direct about my challenging stair project in September and received a prompt response from Adam followed by a site visit. Adam was extremely helpful and professional and was very flexible in accommodating my requirements. He kept in contact regularly in the lead time up until the installation so I always knew what was going on. The installation itself was very well done and I am thrilled with the end result. It is a craftsman finish with great attention to detail. Andy & Andy were at all times courteous and professional and they went the extra mile to make sure that I was happy with the job. I would certainly recommend this company to anyone considering a stair renovation project.

Attention An attentive professional attitude until I had made the payment where I was then made to feel like an inconvenience and had to continually chase them to make any progress. Whilst open to suggestion with regards to design it took multiple attempts to produce a simple layout where pipes are not running through exterior or supporting walls and where permanently excluded areas simply not forgotten to be added. Apparently the extra attempts to rectify their mistakes were ‘above and beyond the normal’. Delivery took about 4 weeks where a visual inspection of the wrapped pallet was made and signed for, noting that any missing parts or damage should be reported to TFHW within 48 hours (the t&c’s are contradictory). Upon disassembling the pallet (2m3) of over 250 pieces it transpires there are a few damaged parts and some missing ones also no CAD printout or installation manual. The missing parts were out of stock so they simply didn’t bother to inform, refund or send at a later date. A further 2 weeks of jumping through hoops sending photos etc ended with an agreement to send out the necessary items but that quickly changed and I am now being fobbed off. This has lead to a decision to return the kit as the project is far behind schedule. A return for a full refund apparently is possible providing all parts are in as new condition (despite not receiving them in as new condition) less the £400 shipping cost. Any contact I make is met with a highly defensive and combative attitude with no attempt to seek resolution despite their website t&c’s which claim About Us The Floor Heating Warehouse Ltd. are completely dedicated to your total satisfaction. I ordered the underfloor heating panels early Friday morning, but they weren't delivered until the following Wednesday. I live in France and they were being delivered to UK to a friend who was bringing them over for me, so the delivery was pretty time critical as they had to be there before he left. Had the delivery been as stated I would have given 5 stars as the customer service is excellent.
