We started dealing with Country Lane Homes in January 2009. We picked their beautiful display to be our 'forever' home. They completed all our plans and submitted to council.. They followed through the town planning process and our permit was approved really quickly. Contracts were prepared and the price was what we expected. Construction began on time and our very impressive frame took shape. People would stop and admire our lovely house. Construction continued on schedule and to the standards Country Lane promised. We had constant contact with our supervisor and we were able to organize site visits to check progress when we wanted. We have now been in our house for over 12 months and absolutely love it! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Country Lane Homes to build the house of your dreams Beautiful house delivered on time with no fuss

We built our beautiful home with Country Lane Homes moving in January 2015. From the get go our experience was wonderful and continued all the way along. We, I think you could describe, are pedantic and have high expectations, We previously left another builder, after outlaying $$ because we didn't appreciate their 'changes are difficult' approach. We worked with Country Lane perfecting our plan for as long as we required. Country Lane easily accommodated our ideas and changes along the way and made fantastic suggestions which enhanced the design and livability. The build started on time and finished on time. They took care of all the approvals with council and they kept us updated along the way, there were no surprises. Variations (we made) along the way were very clearly explained and costed before we signed off - it was all very clear in easy language for the non builder to understand - and we changed our minds continually - even changing our floor tiles (picked by us) after they were delivered. We were never made to feel like we were a bother. The quality of our house is exceptional and attention to detail is terrific. The after service has been wonderful, timely and with successful outcomes.

Escape Homes & Developments Coomera, have been building 4 town houses for me and they poured the concrete driveway without the gas mains being installed so now 3 of the 4 units cannot have natural gas, months overdue and still not complete, other issues and problems, now they have issued me a 120k + variation invoice with no signed variation agreements. The building contact is terminated and they have put a security guard at the site so I can't even finish the project myself. I am interested in hearing from anyone who had, or has construction defects with work done by Escape Homes & Developments Coomera and their contractors.

Working with Escape Homes and Development has been quite disappointing.Although they tried to build our house ( completed November 2017) on time. They left us with 612,000 litres of water loss. The administrative services were very poor .We are still battling within available resolution and legal framework to solve this matter( water loss). It’s almost impossible to get them to correct anything once they have been paid. Not a good experience, I must frankly say . February 23rd 2019 Update: Post Construction Water Loss resolved Amicably. I am happy to state that following the review of 24th September,2018 on the 612,000 litres of water loss after construction. Escape Homes and Developments have been proactive and this matter has been resolved amicably. Thank you Escape Homes and Developments for your timely action at solving this. Best wishes.

Im currently building 2 homes with NUVO and very happy. I live interstate and up in Brisbane only on a monthly basis so it is important to have faith in the team to build what was planned, which I have . I get regular updates from the foreman and site manager via photos and emails and if I have questions or phonecalls thye are answered within hours or emails responded to that day. They are building on time and to cost as per the plans approved and getting good feedback from neighbours in the area about the quality of the build. The planning process can be overwhelming but this was also a good experience as Bill and I had many meetings to get the desired design at the desired price and was he always very accomodating but importantly . The block had some challenges to it , but Bill managed to come up with a plan that was affordable but high in quality . Once the building started it was full steam ahead but due to the challenges with the block it was slightly delay ( the only frustration ) but this is common in construction with tougher blocks.

I built a property with Nuvo homes and everything was going well in early days. The sales agent was lovely to work with and pretty responsive, although some prompting for revised quotes and updates was needed. Once we got to site, it seemed to be running smoothly but then issues started appearing. Things were installed wrong, contrary to specification, significant mistakes were made, the Site supervisor went weeks without providing an update to the progress of the build, and several finish issues were noted. As we got closer to Practical Completion, more and more issues became apparent both in the build and from an admin side. Wrong variations were noted, and had I not reviewed contract spec and noted some PC items which were not used or allocated (builders pole not needed) I would have paid $3400 more, and it was only noted when I mentioned it. They provided 1 days notice until Practical Completion, which was a day after contract date, and then argued what 5 business days meant. They also didn't know the small lot code of Brisbane - as such I (someone with no building experience) had a debate with the OWNER of the company due to what I saw as unneeded privacy screens and low and behold - the certifier from council confirmed this. This saved me over $2000 as I fought for it to be credited. The management team in their office don't know what is happening onsite, and there is no control over their contractors. They wait 3 and a half weeks for a painter to get to site, they have poor time management. The handover happened without having gas run from the meter into the property - and the meter was only noted missing 3 weeks before handover. We spent 2 weeks after Practical completion without gas to the address, but they only gave us 4 days worth of Liquidated damages. The last nail in the coffin was the damage their contractors did to the grassed area out the front of the property on the footpath (council land) - they consistently parked there and placed building supplies on the footpath but when they were queried over rectification, they said there was no proof it was them. This was after their site supervisor acknowledged the issue and said he would sort it out - only issue was this was the site supervisor they fired mid build - so in the end I had 3 during the whole thing. Take your custom designs elsewhere as you will have nothing but heartache and arguments.

Our construction finished October last year after a long and at times stressfu build. We kept on top of things otherwise we would have had to settle their stuff ups like wrong door handles, no fireplace fit out, incorrect taps, incorrect bathroom wand WIR doors, incorrect ballestrades... and the list goes on and on. Luckily, we managed to handle those errors as they arose. At handover, the administrator had written down a list of things that need finishing and were meant to be done within the next few weeks. It has now been almost 1 year since the day that was signed and nothing has been done. How hard would it be to get a window supplyer down to relpace the windows due to mortar scratches? put a lock on the ensuite door or to relpace a pantry door ?(saw them at Bunnings). The kitchen cabinetry is of low quality and I need to keep pressing in the dodgy screw covers ups that are just stuck on. But the worst thing was dealing with the electrican. Wants money up front before he completes the job and now we even find the ceiling speaker wire he was meant to install - what a joke. Note to the wise, if you are thinking of building with this builder, then have your own electrician do the electrical work - dont go with their recommended they dont even do CAT5 cabling. Overall the house build is okay - it seems solid, and I am learning to live with bad quality sliding doors and dented garage door. I had tried to contact them a number of times this year, but after last year, I am exhausted! This company has the potential to be a superb builder, they just need to invest more in quality. Flexible design and Sales person was fantastic Dealt with all the error during the build and now waiting for things to done from handover a year ago!

I seriously thought that they were a decent builder but I guess I was wrong. It's been 4 years since I moved in to the property that was built by them. So where do I start. During the first month, one of the sliding door were stuck and need to be fixed, so I thought to myself this is a common mistake that can happen anywhere to any builder. Tick. So few months passed, then we notice whenever we cook in the kitchen even though the exhaust fan were set on high the smoke still stuck inside the house for few days. I did some reading and yes I know how some range hood meant to be connected to an outside the house outlet and some others are meant to be installed with a "filter" so they do not need to be connected to this outlet outside the house since the smoke will be filtered and can recirculate inside the house. But guess what my range hood does not fill either criteria, it does not have a "filter" nor connected to any outlet outside the house. I have to called them and yes they fixed it. Okay so I thought that was it right, there should not be nothing major. Recently I notice one of the toilet is leaking at the base whenever we use the flush. so I decided to have a look perhaps it's not set up well to the collar pan or something. Surprise surprise, another "bomb" seems to be just been discovered. - Toilet cistern was not installed properly with an anchor hook on the wall, instead they just a silicon adhesive glue to secure it on the wall. - pan collar is set to low for toilet outlet hence whenever we flush some water leakage occur - toilet base was not properly secure with a bolt to the ground and only secured with a silicon adhesive. So yes, to be honest I want to like this builder and give it a 4 -5 stars review. But you tell me, how would you view this builder if you were in my shoes would you still give em those 4-5 star review stars. To the other reviewer who gave 4 -5 stars rating, I notice some of you gave the review just recently after you moved in to the property. My advise to all of you would be client, please please get the building thoroughly check so you will not have to experience what I have experience at the moment.

As a developer choosing the right builder is paramount. GK Bruinsma homes are the genuine deal. No hidden extras, they finish on time, they use great tradesmen & their after sales service is amazing. Problems are dealt with immediately. Their price is fair and they are great to deal with. I thoroughly recommend them. The other comment about them being crooks, sounds like someone who reneged on a deal and was looking for someone to blame. Genuine, on time, great service & price, easy to deal with and any issues that may arrise are dealt with quickly, fairly and with the best outcome for the client.

Unik Constructions helped us build our home in Glen Waverley Prathdeep the Director always answered his phone if there was a question we needed clarified, nothing was too much trouble for him he educated us in all aspects of the build. He has great technical building knowledge, We love our home and have had no issues post construction, in fact the people down the road want to build two homes like ours. He also helped us build a 28 square home in Eumemmerring is by far the classiest home on the street.

When we decided to renovate and extend our 1950s Kingston Beach home on a steeply sloping block few builders would provide as with a quote, openly overwhelmed by the complexity of the project. It was therefore refreshing to find Dave and Adam from Merlin who weren't at all phased by our project. Throughout the build we maintained open communication and whilst we were certainly confronted with a range of significant and unexpected challenges, we tackled them in a spirit of partnership where options were discussed together, costed and agreed on. We made numerous changes along the way and nothing was ever a problem for the team. Since completing our build, we've had Merlin back to do a few smaller jobs. Despite being busy they've always found time for us. And yes there were defects, all corrected with the same customer focus approach we received throughout the build. Dave even contacted us 12 months after we moved in to check if there was anything further that needed attention. Numerous people who witnessed the build (and not known to us) have approach us, so impressed with the transformation they saw unfold. We are honestly so pleased to have had Merlin on our project and look back fondly on that time.

As Builders, Merlin Constructions in Hobart Tasmania advertise and market themselves as delivering 'unsurpassed quality' and meticulous attention to detail. We experienced a horrible, stressful and difficult time with Merlin Constructions throughout our build and beyond. The workmanship lacked professionalism and was atrocious. The workmanship by Merlin constructions smacked of inexperience and a non-caring attitude. The defects list was long and ranged from minor to major. Merlin denied, minimalised and resisted making right their own wrongs and in sheer desperation we approached the HIA, MBA, and Justice Dept for assistance. Thankfully the MBA helped us and the defects were fixed and financial compensation received after much stressful communication. The stress over 2 years however was exhausting and very challenging. We are writing this review to inform people that (unbeknownst to us at the time of signing our contract) the current owners of Merlin Constructions bought the Business in 2017 and many of the projects that are featured on Merlin Constructions website are not the current Directors/Builders work. To finish off, we paid high end money for low end service, low end respect and low end attention to detail. I would like to comment also on a situation that fully describes these builders:... Our home required a BAL19 Bush Fire rating, Requiring a Fire Proof foam insert around the roof perimeter, We where shown a picture of a foam insert that had the BAL19 requirements, We said go ahead with this product. It turned out that they did not go ahead with this product instead they bought a cheap foam insert locally (Bunnings!) I tested it for flammability, It was easy to ignite and was quite hard to put out!! It did NOT have a BAL19 rating!! This is an indication of the attitude of these people to their clients!! Extremely Unethical!!! Please note It has come to our attention that Merlin Construction also go by the name of Merlin Enterprises and since October 16th 2019 also known as Tasdom Constructions.

I really liked this builder's reliability and professional conduct! I obtained many quotes from various construction companies in the area before selecting Vansan Construction as my builder. From the beginning, the manager Shan, seemed reliable and gave me a low-priced quote which seemed reasonable for the quality. I heard some poor comments from competitive builders, however I kept everything aside and I put my full faith in Vansan to build my home, which they did without any issues and completed on time. I’m definitely a happy customer, and considering building a second home through Vansan now.

A year of our lives was wasted dealing with Sekisui House Australia (Victoria) and their wholesale package provider iWealth Solutions. I would never recommend anyone to these companies nor would I recommend doing business with them voluntarily. We encountered a long list of issues at the hands of these companies, while trying to organise construction of a new home. We tried countless times to address and resolve issues with Sekisui House through the Victorian State Sales Manager [name removed] which ultimately forced us to engage legal action to end the contract with Sekisui House Australia. Sekisui House responded in agreeance to end contract if we paid them a few thousand dollars in fees. We refused their demand and did some digging of our own in relation to the company, which revealed as of November 18th 2014, shortly prior to Sekisui House requesting a monetary exit fee from us to end contract, they were in fact in MAJOR BREACH of the H.I.A. Domestic Building Contract as they had a SUSPENDED BUILDING LICENCE therefore in no way could perform any legal construction. They were suspended at the time they requested us to pay exit fees to them and never once divulged this critically important information to us We immediately served a Notice to End Contract for the major breach and Sekisui House Australia immediately accepted to end contract with no further mention of fees. We found this company to be dishonest, untrustworthy and unreliable! We strongly recommend not doing business with them as it will cost you a lot of time, money and immense personal stress. We were lucky to get out before construction could commence and we count ourselves extremely fortunate as we were recently informed that Sekisui House VIC have gone belly up in Victoria and aren't remaining in the state.

We are just starting our build now they the roof trusses are half up today after we told them about a piece of the frame work being around the wrong way. We now also have plumbing in the 2 bedroom floor as measurements were wrong and slab has to be amended. Been through 4 salesman, 3 colour consultants, and 4 customer service people today we inspected the house and noticed the front windows weren't the ones we wanted as we told numerous times to sales people we wanted all sliding Windows now we have 2 wind out ones at the front the site supervisor said they are wind out on the plan but you put your trust in these people to get it right the numbers for the Windows mean nothing to us as we have no idea but a better explanation and pictures would have been good , thinking of getting them to stop already as we are so disappointed with them. They sux at the building game and so Unreliable very scary for the rest of the build.

After 10 years of use we decided to get our 3 showers re-sealed and re-grouted to avoid any potential leaks or other problems, we also had EnduroShield coatings installed on the glass to make cleaning easier. Paul was very polite and completed the job to a very high standard. He was very helpful regarding advice and recommendations and also offered to install a new glass shelf and shower head rail at no extra cost. Would definitely recommend.

We had a problem with our new bathroom renovation so asked Shower sealed to come see if they could help, a fellow came out had a look and said yes no problem we can put our Ultra bond product on and give us a five year guarantee ... Great we thought and paid The $495 the product was put on we waited the required time but the shower was still leaking in one corner ...They sent someone to come and look when we questioned the problem only to be then told the shower had obviously not been built properly and made lots of excuses as to why it was not their fault ...and they would not guarantee the leak Why were we not told the shower had problems when they first came for the inspection... Not after they they took our Money ??

We installed what I consider a very expensive kitchen 3 years ago. It was my pride and joy but that was soon to change. We started to notice cracking in the finish in varying parts of the kitchens - doors and drawers. It has now been an ongoing saga since December, 2015. According to the General Manager they have now supplied us with replacement doors and drawers of equal quality (ours was an imported German kitchen, the replacements are from ????). They have wiped their hands of anything more even though we were told this kitchen had a 10 year warranty. I would never recommend Taste Living to anyone. The only thing that matters to Taste is take the money, service is non existent.

My parents renovated their house over a decade ago and made the wrong decision of not putting a final layer of silicon post-tiling. As such, over time mould, and wear and tear made some areas of the house look not so pleasing to the eye. That’s where National Tilers came in, gave us a very reasonable quote; re-tiled the areas of the house within the estimated timeframe with full transparency. Can’t thank the boys more for the work they did, highly recommended.

It took me 4 years to find R & B Bathrooms. It was worth the wait! I recently had a complete renovation of my bathroom and separate toilet. Great attention to detail, highly skilled and I have complete confidence that I will no longer have to be worried about the shower leaking into the downstairs sitting room ceiling. I have to pinch myself every time I go into the bathroom. It is not only functional but beautiful. I can not recommend this family company highly enough - 10 stars rather than 5. Also love that it is a family company with a daughter apprentice.

I had my bathroom shower tiles re-surfaced about 20 years ago, also my bath. The bath hasn't been used very much and remains in fairly good order, although several small flaws have appeared over the years. The shower was ok for nearly two years, then the enamel started to shrink over the grouting and mould started forming. I used their recommended cleaner to start with but eventually nothing cleaned it properly and the mould just remains. I would never recommend having shower tiles re-sprayed, their 10 year warranty is useless. They did try to correct this with several re-sprays but the same thing kept happening, the product just doesn't wear well at all and today my shower area looks terrible, nothing cleans it satisfactorily.

**Buyer beware** We hired Mend A Bath services in 2016 to re surface our bath. Over the past two years Mend A Bath have been back to our home three times to patch repair the constant peeling of their paint product used. After paint, yet again, sticking to my husbands foot while showering we contacted Mend A Bath for the fourth time. Their representative [name removed] came out to our property for the forth time last week to inspect the peeling paint. After inspection I asked [name removed] 'why does our paint keep peeling?' He responded with he 'did not know' In the warranty signed by [name removed] it quotes: ' This guarantee shall be limited, at Mend A Bath International option to: A) the repair of the bathtub; B) a full refund of the monies paid by the customer' Knowing this we asked [name removed] about the option of a refund which he replied he 'wasn't going to discuss' and simply walked away. Considering this would be the fourth repair, we didn't think it would be unreasonable to request a refund. We have shown Mend A Bath good faith in the past, giving them three opportunities to repair and rectify their services and products, which is still yet to be done. We have only ever used and cared for our Bath as per the warranty provided to us.

I took time off work to be at home for them to arrive, but they never showed up, after waiting 30 minutes I started calling to try to find out where they were, it took a long time to even get a call back with an answer, and I was told I had to wait at least another 30 minutes for him to show up. I understand things get busy sometimes, but all it would've taken was a phone call to let me know he would be late and I could've stayed at work until he was on the way. There was no care or concern on the phone, or apology for wasting hours of my time SAVE YOUR TIME AND GO WITH SOMEONE ELSE WHO'LL ACTUALLY SHOW UP, JIM'S IS RIDICULOUSLY OVERPRICED ANYWAY

These days one is reluctant to call a plumber or electrician, for fear of the cost. I found this company very competitive pricewise. I was even more impressed with the young plumber who turned up. He was extremely knowledgeable, very courteous and even pin pointed a possible problem with a recently completed plumbing job executed by another company. I would definitely use this company again. I got an appointment very quickly and could not fault the service in any way. If all the employees are as competent as Alex, this company will be in business for years to come.

I've had 2 callouts with StayWired, one time they arrived within the estimated window and the other time an hour late. The job was relatively simple but hugely expensive, especially compared to another top electrician which will remain unnamed here (but that I have also reviewed.) There were several copper strands lying around on the floor that I had to clean up before my puppy found them. edit: I have lifted my rating to 4 stars as they called to point out that my bill was reasonable for 2 callouts (the job could not be done during the first callout).

A huge thank you to Josh and the team at Local Ontime Electrician. An appliance at my residence developed a fault that caused a circuit breaker to trip permanently and cut power to a number of other appliances including a koi pond filter pump, a garage door opener and a cool room refrigeration unit. Josh arrived at the appointed time - literally within 4 hours of my booking the service call. We discussed the problem and within 5 minutes he found the faulty appliance and isolated it. And much to my surprise, he didn't charge me the call-out fee. A job very well done, above and beyond my expectations.

Expert Electrical efficiently and politely installed our 5Kw system in inner city Brisbane, along with doing some electrical work to modernise our powerbox, wire up the back deck and install some fans and air conditioning. Overall it was an over $10K job. Things went downhill quickly after they finished the job though. They stuffed up the invoices and sent aggressive overdue notices for a large invoice we paid on the day of installation, they left without returning my neighbours parking permit, and they didn't respond to emails about the parking permit or a defective fan installation in our bedroom that has been keeping us up at night (put in by a teenage apprentice). They did respond eventually (3 weeks later) after they sent me another overdue notice and I pointed out the problem with the invoice and provided a bank receipt showing I'd already paid it. But instead of sending someone over to look at the fan they sent a sales rep to threaten me again with non-payment of a second bill, tell me - without looking at it - that the problem with the fan was manufacturing and not their work - and used my neighbours parking permit as leverage (threatening to withhold it until we paid the remaining bill for the electrical component - an invoice that was issued the day before and wasn't even due yet). I immediately paid their bill to get them out of my life but am now in a position of needing another electrician to fix the fan. I can't recommend them. They were completely unwilling to take responsibility for their work and incompetent and threatening in their approach to billing.

I called and was quoted $150 for a callout. Someone arrived 1h15mins later. Upon arriving the "electrician" didn't have the standard electrical box key that every other electrician has so was unable to do anything to resolve the issue. Then tells me I owe him $300 despite not being able to do anything. Demands payment on the spot. When I questioned paying the other $150 he says that's his charge for an hours work despite the fact that he was there for 10mins and did no work as he didn't have the standard electrician key for the cupboard holding the apartment fuses and meters. When I asked for an invoice the next day so I can show to an actual electrician and building manager, he demands more money! Further sends aggressive messages telling me I am ungrateful for him coming out at midnight and I made him upset?! I can see from the other negative review this seems to be their usual behaviour (positive reviews maybe paid for?)

They arrived on time (exactly at 7 o'clock in the morning) and replaced 19 down lights very efficiently and even advised me that I really should have a new circuit breaker installed which was not part of the job. I was not aware of this and advised them to install one if they could. They were happy to do this and also cleaned up on completion of the job. I was highly impressed with their performance and will gladly recommend this company.

I recently found myself in the unfortunate position of accepting a recommendation to use McIntosh Electrical from Beacon Lights, who for whatever reason see the owners [name removed] and [name removed] as a Preferred Electrician. Both Beacon and McIntosh Electrical feed off each other. In no time you will find yourself running backwards and forwards to Beacon Lights for light fittings and bulbs and Bunnings for electrical fittings. The owners take no responsibility for their employees or apprentices. The costs are exorbitant for eg. Supply, wire and install 1 new double power point with floor access $264; Supply, wire and install 1 new light in laundry $250 which was done so by disconnecting the ceiling light and running a new light off a nearby power point (instead of lifting the roof). And believe it or not...disconnecting the backyard flood light and sensor and leaving it that way. I am left with three light fittings and six electrical fitting all unfitted and an unfinished job. No signed CCEW which is the law in NSW and no other electrician prepared to complete their job. Don't fall into the trap of using any Beacon Lights Preferred Electrician. Choose a small local family run electrical contractor who works for himself and will be there for you in the future.

We ask for disc but only gave $3000+gst and this work will be done the same day that he told us ,because no choice we agreed... After he made a phone call, he said there is no plumber who is available for the same day, so we have to do the next day.... After that I don't feel good... This is our mistake that we didn't search first in the beginning... When we Google it, the Reem Tank hot water stellar stainless steel 315lt it's cost $1200 only. My husband called Reem direct it's only cost $1700 all include the installation. After he called Reem, he called to Gordon Powers asked for consideration for the cost, but the other party just talk rude and we have to Paid what in the invoice. And he sent us email and said that they put my husband in the debt collector. Doesn't want to have an open communication...just cut it off like that.. I really really upsets being RIP OFF with this company... If only the tank cost $1200, so the rest of $1800 just for the labour what a joke....very easy money for them ... We are a medium family and single income, need to be wise what we spending and this hot water is necessary that we have to spend but not this kind price that you charge .... While the Bondys Contractors are quick and efficient to put an expensive system in, they are impossible to contact directly, impossible to organise days when they can come to your house, and then arrive on days when nobody is home, fail to call back, and they still manage to offer appalling service! I have been waiting a year for my system to be repaired under warranty, which I fear will not happen as I have paid for it and they have little reason to fix it now. If you can find an alternative contractor for your electrical work, DO IT!

Poor service, The fellow was very rude. I ordered 0.8m3 and this fellow said that he has delivered 0.9m3 charged extra. There is no way to check how much he delivered. This fellow was rude and ask me to connect our water to top up his truck. This fellow also asked me to clean up his wheelbarrows. This fellow started delivery of the concrete at 10.30 and finished before 11.30. But put starting time as 10.15 and then he was taking a long time to clean up his vehicle and then came inside the premises to take some photos and then and then put finishing time as 11.40, charging extra 55AUD as waiting time. I tried to talk to the booking office and they were not helpful and asked me to sort it out with the delivery person. This is a daylight Robbery. I would not recomend using them in the future

I hired Les Rose from That Handyman and I have never had such a poor experience with a tradesperson. He is unprofessional, uncommunicative, unreliable. I paid him a cash depost of $1800, he domolished a wardrobe and then disappeared when he was supposed to plaster and paint the wall afterwards. He kept telling me he would be at my place the next day to finish my job, and then never showing up. He didn't respond to my emails or text messages and didn’t answer phone calls. He started out being helpful and friendly but then he turned, showing a temper and petulance. Be aware.

We ordered 7 windows and a sliding door in 2016. We wanted to improve thermal insulation and reduce noise. It certainly improved the noise a lot. We love the windows. HUGE improvement regarding temperature. Warmer in winter and cooler in summer. Definitely helps. 75-80% improvement from a thermal perspective. Huge improvement. We felt it the moment it was installed. The installers were excellent. Very good at what they were doing. The Ecostar office is easy to deal with and no drama at all. Every house should have it.

We had five windows and our front door replaced by Ecostar last year. We live on a busy main road and were purely after noise reduction. The noise reduction is much less than expected. I have spoken to Ecostar several times and they have promised to send out someone to follow it up. Instead they sent a salesman who then said he'd organise someone to follow it up. I haven't heard from them. The follow up to this post was someone in their office telling me the problem is not their product - it's my walls and roof. Their product is 'tested'. There must be a problem with the insulation in my walls and roof. I wish they'd asked me to check that before I spent a fortune on windows.

Stylemaster penrith is by far the worst supposedly trades people I've dealt with- quote was fine from that point on down hill - paid a 60% deposit to wait nearly two months to be told materials hadn't even been ordered and I was " impatient" - after department of fair trading got involved they did the job only to have left wires unwired on roof and ripples along my colour bond roofing to my house ! Worst worst worst experience I've ever had do not recommend them at all !

Purchased a new home who used Stegbar to install my back glass sliding door. Initially the install was a very poor quality, issues were (1) rubber sealing around the glass panel, and (2) glass not sitting properly in panel causing the frame to bend in the middle. I understand that at times manufacturing faults can occur which I completed understand as a consumer. However, there has been no effort to fix this issue. I reported this towards the end of 2021, it is now June 2022. Terrible customer service and simply does not reply to emails. This company has no interest in follow up services. I would not recommend Stegbar, not because of poor quality, but because of the poor customer service to meet consumer expectations.

Previously there was a leak on the gutter On inspection found that the gutter was not cleaned for the past 19 years We were introduced to the Easy Fall Guttering System and we knew this product will solve the problems We have since had rain and we can safely say that the system works really well. The leaf guard that was installed by Easy Fall Guttering is easy to maintain. Previously, I had to clean the gutters every couple of months and now I am yet to clear the gutters as there has been no need and I had the leaf guard installed in June 2017! Most of the leaves simply blow away due to it's clever design. I am thrilled with the product and it is much better than what I had before!

I just noticed bolts popping out of the sided where the ladder was installed (18 mths post-installation), although I don't know how long they've been like that. I have emailed 3 times and was about to call when I looked at the warranty - 6 months for labour. So now I'm stuck with a crap job where they bang it in & walk away. They could even be out of business for all I know given that they don't bother responding to emails. I have not misused or abused my attic lader in anyway yet am left with a shoddy job. No wonder their warranty period is so short. I thought it was longer but must be thinking of another company - I regret not giving the job to them now. I don't know if I am allowed to post photos but will happily pass them on if requested.

For 13 years I put up with an old carport roof that leaked. The whole purpose of getting a new carport was to have a new roof and be free of leaks when it rains. Do you do gable roofs I asked the salesman. We can do anything he said. He omitted to inform that Lifestyle Patio gable roofs LEAK right along the centre beam, ridge cap, so right in the middle of the carport space. What they omitted to inform was that the product they use AUSDECK cannot seal along the ridge/does not have a ridge cap like every other tin roof you can install like Colourbond for instance. Instead they just put a metal flap along the ridge and fail to provide that highly relevant information about not having a proper ridge cap. Not only that, the other thing they fail to verbally notify you of at point of sale so as to insure your fully informed, is that you have to clean the underside of the roof 'at least' every 6 months. Otherwise the cheap and flimsy AUSDECK material gets dirty rusts spots and you'll have a rusty and rotting roof within a couple of years. I have a bad shoulder and scared of heights could never attend to such a mammoth and risky physical cleaning task. The entire experience for me has been nothing less than an expensive nightmare. Had they told me about the leaking roof I would never have gone ahead with Lifestyle Patios because the main reason for me getting a new roof was to enjoy being dry when standing under my carport roof. Instead now when it rains it is actually WORSE than the leaking from my old carport roof. It is disgusting that they don't tell people the truth. When I told their build manager about what they have done he said that maybe they should start telling people what to expect. Also, after admitting liability they then offered to charge me nearly $1000 to install a wider ridge cap!!! I would NEVER use AUSDECK or LIFE STYLE again nor would I ever recommend either to anyone. Run for the Hills and get yourself a real roof - one that doesn't leak and that you don't have to waste you precious time and energy in cleaning.

31/05/2019 During an inspection of our two units, we discovered we had a leaking shower issue in one of the units and as the units were built at the same time, no doubt it was on the cards that the shower in the 2nd unit was heading for the same issue…..As we live in the remote north of the state, I found Megasealed on the net and made contact with Andrew, the South Australian owner and manager of Megasealed…….Andrew supplied a sensible quote ( which was accepted ) to strip out, reline, repair / replace rotted studs and bottom plates where required, reseal and retile the showers of 2 units. Andrew provided photos of previous work of the similar type of issues to confirm that they were able to carry out the scope of work….which was very re assuring as we live in the far north of South Aust Andrew communicated well via E/mail, Text’s and phone calls when required and returned all communication at most times with only a minimal delay, he kept us fully informed of progress and arrangements when the work was being carried out in each unit. We had a small stumbling block with the first unit however, after a bit re tweaking with Andrew, the issue was rectified extremely quickly followed by with regular and effective communication. The works in the 2nd unit was completed seamlessly and progress photos were e/mailed during the duration of the job. One of our tenants asked us to pass on to Andrew that the. 1..Megasealed employee arrived on the agreed time each day, 2..Commence work without delay, 3..Clean and tidy in all aspects, 4..Refreshingly polite. As we were not in a position to choose the style or colour of tiles etc etc, we went with Andrew’s recommendation, from the provided photos his choice of style and size was sensible. Job completion photos show a high standard of finish. Recommendation…..yes I would go with Andrew again, without hesitation.

My plumber works for a builder who recommended Megasealed, as they use them all the time. And now I know why! Being an apartment, I had to obtain approval from the body corp first, which wasn't a problem as I wasn't re-tiling. Then I left notices under the neighbours' doors as well as the noticeboard, so they knew when the work was being done. The salesman and tradesman were always professional, polite, on time, and communicated, which was fantastic. I always felt comfortable with them, and always called back if I had any questions or issues. The actual work of removing the grout created a LOT of dust, so be prepared for that. Each bathroom took most of a day each. The re-grouting was only in the shower areas and floors, so I wiped down the wall tiles a few times to remove the dust. I took the covers off the fans in the bathrooms and gave them a good clean afterwards, as they were filled with dust. The condition of the grout beforehand was pretty bad and stained, which could not be cleaned. The re-grouting totally transformed the bathrooms, both look like new, I'm so amazed! It really is incredible. The tradesman even filled a couple of extra holes on the wall for me, which was wonderful. I would absolutely recommend them again, thanks!

Had Annual service supposedly performed, spoke with technician at the time (and when booking service) regarding issue of doors sticking on one level. This was not fixed, when requested a return, was charged full cost and Company denied I had given any information regarding doors and due to a month passing...between technician visits..(due to Easy Living not showing up for two scheduled appointments!!) the issue was not related!!!! Despite my records of the maintenance sheets, numerous phone calls and e-mails to ascertain their negligence of facts and I requested they review the calls of when I booked and the paperwork from technicians and contact me to discuss the outcome. The only response from them is a letter from a Collection Agency! Shame on you Easy Living Home Elevators. Warning to all, 1.This Company rarely (once out of 6 scheduled appointments) bothers to show up, or get in contact with you to reschedule. 2. Servicing is not carried out to an acceptable standard. 3. Incompetent communication capabilities within the Company itself or with customers.

Six months ago I paid for my plantation shutters, still waiting for installation, each time I called the office they say we received delivery this week. I will call you next week to booked installation, it's the same every week. I rang last week and the manager shouted at me over the phone after I told them of lying to customer. Just be careful, stay away from them.

Do not use this company, extremely expensive, After initial visit very unprofessional, cheap incompetent Labour, I was told the work would take 3 weeks it actually took approx 3.5 months so I lost a lot of money with prices falling in that time, September 21st 2019 Update: Most Expensive & Biggest mistake I have ever made WARNING, WARNING, WARNING, DON'T USE, FIX SELL PAY, I needed cosmetic work to be completed after a total renovation I was told it would be completed in 3 weeks it actually took 6 months, property values dropped, very professional until you sign the contract then extremely unprofessional from management to illegal immigrant workers, please don't get ripped off by this company, research very well if you need anything done.

have to say; the truck and crane driver delivered our timber and has to be the politest guy in Adelaide. Wonderful and professional service. Another bloke turns up from a different firm and drops stuff on the lawn, not asking and thus annoying my wife as she was trying to resuscitate the lawn. No clue about customer service, as he then ignored her. Well done Softwoods

Had roof removed by Jim’s, gave themselves access to property a week before job started removed vent pipe which left a 150mm hole in roof even though it was raining. Price keeps going up and very hard to deal with. His first reaction is threaten legal action and what a potty mouth. Really disappointed won’t ever use Jim’s again

Got two quotes to remove the asbestos walls in our house, one from jim's asbestos and another from a different company. Jim's was cheaper by $500 so we went with them and now we really wished we didn't! They told us that when they removed the asbestos walls in our kitchen and laundry, they will clean the dust from the wall cavities and spray them with a glue solution. We check their work after and dust still remained. Sent another email with photos and told them nicely that we want to have dust removed. They came back and removed the dust in the laundry but not in kitchen area! This is really poor workmanship. What's the point of having the asbestos "professionally removed" if they didn't do a proper clean up afterwards. Really really disappointed.

Floors By Greensborough sanded and polished my Tasmanian oak floorboards late last year. I wasn't sure exactly what colour for them to stain it and they were so helpful in applying stains on my floor for me to choose from. I have a gorgeous grey/brown mid tone floor with a great finish exactly what I wanted! The guys were very helpful and friendly and made it easy. My friends have all complimented my floors. I would highly recommend Floors By Greensborough.

AJ Grant is one of the contracted repairers for NRMA Home Insurance and I recommend you fight tooth and nail to have nothing to do with them if NRMA try allocating them to your claim. AJ Grant run their business with a complete lack of professionalism and integrity. I constantly had to chase them up. Trades showed up at my door with no appointment, then at other times, didn’t show up at all when bookings had been confirmed. They blatantly lied to NRMA about following up with me and claimed to have had discussions with me that never occurred. They constantly left it up to me to follow up with them about where we were up to. They expected me to me satisfied with, and to settle for second rate repairs. Only constant complaints over several months finally resulted in that part of the job being completed satisfactorily. Eventually another building company was allocated by NRMA (thank goodness) to complete the remaining repairs, (due to ongoing complaints and issues with AJ Grant), after close to 4 months. AJ Grant demonstrated complete incompetence, unprofessionalism and proved themselves to be unethical in the way they go about their business. I am astounded that NRMA are happy for a dodgy company like this to absolutely slaughter their reputation. I will not be insuring with NRMA again while ever they align themselves with this company.

I have heard some pretty bad stories in the past when it comes time to find and use tradesmen, however my experience was nothing short of fantastic. Last year AJ Grant tradesmen came and remodelled my old laundry. They supplied the tradesmen to install a new and efficient water heater as well as the remodelling of the laundry. The work was done very quickly and efficiently and all the tradesmen were very helpful. This year, AJ Grant staff member Josh helped me no end with understanding the repair process for having a new roof installed. From being on time to every appointment and taking my calls when I had questions no matter how silly I thought they may be. My roof is beautiful and leak free and all the tradesmen who attend very polite and informative throughout the process. I will be getting them back in a few months to quote on my new kitchen and bathroom next. Briony

It has been nearly two years since we returned to our newly renovated home and we couldn't be happier. We did a ground floor extension to our 1940's house in Bayswater and Nexus did a great job keeping the style and feel of the home we loved, while adding the additional space and style our young family wanted. We extended our home adding a second storey, which included 4 bedrooms a bathroom and living area. The main appeal of using Nexus was that the majority of the building work was done off site, considerably reducing time on site and therefore disruption to our family. It was great not to have to move out of our home and exciting to see our house transformed as we watched the second storey lowered on. The Nexus team were so helpful, professional and polite. They went out of their way to ensure a smooth and extremely efficient building process.

We moved into our beautiful Roseleigh home almost 4 months ago, the building process took just over 12 months. The house is of high quality and we love it. From the beginning we have found the staff at Roseleigh to be approachable, professional and courteous. In the planning stages we had multiple changes of plans, we were never charged for this. We essentially have a custom built home for no extra cost (Most builders would charge for this). Roseleigh would not accept any deposit (even though we offered) until the plans and contract were finalised and we were happy. We always found our phone calls and emails were returned promptly, the builder dealt with all our questions and concerns. They were very conscious of trying to get us in before we had our new baby. There are a few outstanding issues but these are being dealt with promptly and professionally. The quality is high (structurally and fittings/fixtures) and the supervisor is fussy and pedantic. I don't think any build is stress free and without little hiccups but what matters is how it is dealt with and Roseleigh homes have been nothing short of professional. Good quality, reasonable price, homes with character, good communication from staff Unsatisfactory builders clean at end of build
