Ordered a ton of hardcore mot1, followed by another 1 1/2 tons a week or two later. On both occasions the driver, Vinnie, turned up early so I wasn’t on site. Both times he got the load over the verge and then a seven foot high fence a placed them in the garden in a gap no more than five feet wide between the fence and shed. Honestly, I have never been so impressed!! Great job. The limestone road stone has proved to be excellent and bonds very well and is an excellent mix of fine, small and medium stones and sand. Would highly recommend. Thanks guys

Before I knew of lathams I used various other company’s and never did I receive the customer care and attention I received from lathams once I started to divert my business to this company which has been for the last 4 years and I’m still using this company because they look after their customers and this is something I believe a lot of company’s now are not providing especially to the smaller customers they have. Excellent Service The first Door to be delivered was faulty, but because it was part of a building project we did not realize this until 3 months after purchase. Latham's replaced it immediately with no quibble. :) 18 months later, having lost the keys! Latham's supplied me a new barrel lock, however i had to drill a couple of screws out to put the new lock in. They have put new screws FOC in the post for me today, you can ask for no more that that!

New Front door ‘fitted’ in April 2019, door still leaking in September 2019!! We are shoring up the door with towels every day. Dire customer service; door not fit for purpose. I have been very poorly over the past few months and this has increased my stress levels, at an already difficult time. Regret my decision to use them!

My honest experience is that sometimes one gets an experience that is demoralizing, traumatic and surprising, in my case, some investors that were always good to us suddenly turn around and are holding the last payment of 14k because they insist they paid already to much disregarding that some of the payment over the contract price are change orders and insist that we need to pay for the installation of the floor that is not in the contract 12K and they do not want to pay the 14K until we give them credit for 12K, totally irrational, you all have been supportive, kind and gave me good words to accept the truth, I had to put a lien. I cannot give 14K as a present, our company is very small, thank you for your support.

all went fine, but if you plan your renovation in advance and you have something unused and untouched after 28 days of made order you cannot return it at all ...even worth £160!. it's a shame and very bad from my point of view, because I've spent almost a £1000 and now I need to get rid off few brand new items and I may end up trying to sell it or will just dump it. I would think that there are some exceptions, but it seems that not at this company. I will continue shopping at other stores next time.

I purchased Premier Diamond Blade For Exterior Porcelain Paving 300mm. For cutting ceramic paving. It chips the slabs and cuts the ends off them. They told me that I'm doing it wrong and would not refund me. I've been a landscaper for 20 years and know what I'm talking about. Would never use this company again.

From first visit with Rhys to installation they inspired absolute confidence. The team who carried out the work, namely, Kev, Corey and Tom were a joy. They were very professional clean precise in everything they did and nothing was too much for them. I am over the moon with the system they installed which comprised of two Worcester system boilers a hot water cylinder and piping throughout this rather large building. Following a thorough and reasonable quote (including a discount against the numerous callouts they had made to my property in vain to get my very old boiler to work), Limegreen provided a professional service to replace the boiler, including a new thermostat and radiator valves The installation went very smoothly and professionally, and I was given a thorough debrief at the end to explain how to use the new equipment. Our BBQ hut arrived quickly and well wrapped, took some time laying the pieces out but once assembling started it come together quickly, with just 2 of us working on it it was erected in a weekend. I then took my time to shingle the roof following the advice Logspan provided in the instructions. We took great care in levelling the base and the structure as we built it, this was essential for the roof to fit correctly to the walls with no gaps. When finished it was a strong beautifully finished hut with great integrity and looks, very pleased with every aspect, would recommend the company and the product highly. I ordered a sink on jan 12th, with an estimated delivery time for the end of February. I checked the delivery date on February 23rd and saw the sink was now estimated for April 30th. No one had contacted me, so I was not made aware of any delay. I called Lusso to find out if the date was correct and was told on the phone the delivery could be July. In an email I was assured in was still estimated for end of April. This is now the only item missing in the entire house refurb and the date for delivery is now end of JUNE. I have had to chase Lusso each time to be aware of the delays, and they wash their hands of any responsibilities as it is an ‘estimated delivery time’. I’m sure if I estimated I would pay in January and didn’t pay until July things would be different. The delays have left me with several bad options, I wish I had been told it could take this long at the start and could have gone elsewhere. I could now order a different sink, and have to wait for that to arrive, and pay the builder to return and fit it, or wait for this one, which I feel now may never arrive, and pay the builder to return and fit it. The bathroom has already been made to accommodate this sink and this has left me in a frustrating position. Lusso have been uncommunicative and I have received no compensation and no apology. It’s ‘challenging times’ apparently. AVOID.

We had been looking to order a new marble fireplace for sometime and have visited several specialist showrooms nearby in East Yorkshire and we were at the point of ordering when we came across Designer Fireplaces in Birmingham 120 miles away We were very impressed by the items on offer on line but initially a little dubious as not being able to visit them and we needed our new item to be a bespoke size Despite this we sent an enquiry to Mick and Pete and eventually placed an order What a find their prices the quality the service the attention to detail is absolutely outstanding they can’t be faulted in any way There are lots of bigger companies who could learn a lot about this company If you had any doubts about using Designer Fireplaces then don’t save yourself a lot of money and receive the best possible service including their recommended installer

We have had a McDonald's cylinder for 8 years storing hot water from a solid fuel stove in winter, solar panels in summer and topped up via a gas boiler as required. Recently a problem relating to the overheat radiators and solar panel system led to a call to McDonald's for advice. Bruce was fantastic, taking the time to listen, checking photos and calling back as promised. His clear advice gave me the confidence to make an adjustment which has solved the problem. I am chuffed to bits! It's rare these days to find good technical advice at the end of the phone, so many thanks to Bruce and well done McDonald's.

I cannot comment on reliability as the thermal store I recently purchased has only been in place for 6 weeks but in all other respects McDonalds have been fantastic. My need was for for a bespoke Thermal store in terms of its size as it had to go into the loft through a narrow access flap. It was absolutely no issue to have the rectangular tank made longer, narrower and taller than the standard size. This was discussed on the phone and followed up with a full drawing. The tank arrived from Scotland within about 5 days I cannot recommend them too highly

Recently purchased new composite door which came with 3 keys. Needed spares. Found this company via internet search. Ordering straightforward. Payment easy, though was surprised at the price of keys (only ever had Yale type before which are cheap) - strong word to teenage son that replacements will come out of his weekly allowance! I appointed Milcol to carry out all plumbing and heating works for refurbishment of my five bedroom, 300 year old property. Milcol installed all new pipe work throughout the property, a new central heating system including repositioning of the boiler, complete fitting of additional newly built bathrooms and en-suites and redirection of external gas supply pipe to the property. All the work was carried out to an exceptionally high standard, the Milcol team are extremely professional, friendly, hard working and very knowledgeable. We have a Grade II Listed 1740 Town House with Georgian facade with 9 front/side sash windows which rattled, leaked and once even let snow into our daughter’s bedroom. We had been looking for years for a suitable secondary glazing solution, which is sensitive to the Listing, easy on the eye and effective in terms of noise and heat loss reduction. Mitchell and Dickinson has been a superb choice! It uses a quality skilled team of surveyors, craftsmen and supported by best customer service. This is not a cheap option, however the payback period is good in terms of energy bills; and the quality of the work is superb. We have noticed immediately a huge difference in warmth in the house as well as a dampening of the external noise. We would recommend this company to anyone. The best customer experience we have had in years! Thank you.

They renovated nine large sash windows and installed secondary glazing in my top floor apartment in a grade II listed building opposite a Cathedral. They did a great job and were actually recommended by a lady in the council's listed buildings department. High quality of work and there has been a noticeable reduction in external noise and heat loss. It wasn't a cheap exercise but I'm sure it'll be recovered in reduced energy bills and on an increased value of the apartment. The work did cause some disturbance which I suppose was to be expected, but I would definitely recommend them.

Ordered timber decking which took 4 separate deliveries and many phone calls into the branch to sort out. This took over 2 weeks from ordering. If ordering, ensure they have the stock before hand and ensure someone gets up off their backside to check not on the system as this doesn't seem to be right! My decking project has been ruined and had to be re-designed due to different stock turning up very very last minutes, as in 10 minutes before delivery! Quality of stock is good but organisation is very very poor! Edit: zero offer of compensation and more empty apologies offered

I have recently completed a house renovation which required me to fit two bathrooms and a downstairs toilet. Is it wrong of me to say I almost looked forward to my (very regular!) Saturday morning trips to Moran's?!? At the beginning of the project I needed quite a bit of guidance around what was available/possible/technical specs and the like. What I got was a really well-informed team who told me exactly what I needed to know. I learned a lot. Moran's has a huge range of suppliers - almost every price point is catered for and there are some incredible, unusual products therein. Wonderful customer service throughout, welcoming, efficient, informed, fun and friendly. Maybe I should do another renovation?!?

before anyone buys from this company i would strongly advise them not to.i had a door fitted last october it looks very nice however is a complete fire hazard it does not always open, we have been locked in our house several times. Mr windows service has been good up until now where they will no longer do anything regarding the door and it is still faulty.i have had an engineer around at least twice a month where they do not know what is wrong with it. it would seem i am not the only person this has happened to as a neighbour has also had the same problem, wether it is the door or poor workman ship i do not know but i do not want anyone else to go through what we have. we are now seeking legal advice

Unbelievable service, ordered new pump as needed a new one ASAP, was given equivalent model (price a lot less than the original) arrived within 36 hours. Phoned to check order given info on the order and delivery. Even in these unusual times service was first rate. If i ever need a part or equipment replacing these are first on my list. Our boiler broke down on Thursday. I contacted Aqua Shield on Wednesday and they sent an engineer who diagnosed the problem within minutes. The boiler needed a new gas valve! The valve needed to be ordered and it was going to be expensive. I did have to contact them on Friday to find out when they would be coming to fit the valve. Unfortunately the part had not arrived and they were still awaiting delivery which would mean the the installation would not take place until next week, possibly Monday. After explaining our circumstance and apologies from Aqua Shield things started moving forward. A few minutes later I had another call and I was told that they had sourced a valve and somebody from their company would collect the part and it would be installed this afternoon (Friday). The engineer called me about 30 minutes before he arrived. In less than half an hour after he arrived, and having taken our boiler to bits, we have heating again. The service from the Aqua Shield office was excellent and the engineer was also excellent. He kept me informed about what he was doing and his initial diagnosis was absolutely spot on. I strongly recommend this company for boiler service, installation and breakdown repairs, and will use them again, if needed. Thanks for this exceptional service.

Third time we’ve used this company now...first they fitted french windows then two upstairs windows ..now two of their fitters have completed some brick work and put in a large window into a converted garage What can I say ..all the work has been professionally fitted with professional fitters...They were all polite considerate and extremely helpful....We still need some work in the future and this will be the only company we will use...highly recommend

I appreciate the reply to my initial review but have to point out that I am quite capable of distinquishing 900 x 600 50mm slabs from 600 x 600 50mm slabs and paid for the 13 900mm slabs that where in the yard at that time as I needed them fairly quickly otherwise I would never have placed the order and I was not alone when I visited the store to ensure the correct items where purchased on the day. Again thank you for the reply and taking the time to explain to me the reasons behind the foul up.

I had ordered materials and payment was taken from my account on 22 of April at which time they weren’t delivering due to covid 19 which is understandable I then placed an order for aggregate chips, I received an e mail to say my delivery would be on Thursday 30th of April, the chips were delivered at 11am on the date specified, the driver had none of the other materials, I had to e mail to find out when the other items would be delivered and received a reply to say it would be later the same day, having waited in all day and having arranged labour for Friday 1st of May and having not received delivery is disappointing, more disappointing was the lack of response to further emails to ask when i was going to receive goods. Very poor.
