They charged me $200 to do general tap servicing. They will try to scare you by saying there is a big issue, hot water system not installed properly, plumbing work not done properly, it will create big problem in future and then just do general servicing to tap and take your $200. The guy was at my place just for $17 min all up. They charge $45 call out fees and $120 to give you quotation.

I called one morning requesting Plumbdog to replace my 18 yo hot water system as the water wasn't very hot. They said they'd check it out first in case it could be repaired, but unfortunately it had died its death. The next day they replaced the system all without me having to be at the property and taking precious time off work. Excellent work and service.

Hot water service call out yesterday - $28 for a new diaphragm (googled the part online), which subsequently cost us $350 to replace. 'Plumber' was on site for less than 30 minutes. Greased buttons, tested unit. Rang ABA Plumbing & Gas office this morning to query the excessive charge, to be told that if they were a bigger company we would have been charged double - ie $600 (how does this work?). Happy to pay for call out fee ($99 for first half hour) + parts, which comes to approximately $150, and we felt this would be a FAIR and reasonable cost. Not so says ABA Plumbing. We had the same type of HWS unit checked and serviced in Moonta and were charged $100. We definitely will not be recommending this company to anyone in the future, and feel that we have been taken advantage of by $200.

I had a blocked pipe and was quoted $185. The boys used the Jetty on the wrong pipe and the next day the bathroom flooded. I called the plumber to tell him of the problem and was told to speak with the owner who happened to be his father, [name removed]. He was a very obnoxious man who somehow tried to blame me. He said I would need to pay another $185 even though it was completely their fault. I got a different plumber to come in today and he couldn't understand how they stuffed up such a basic job and fixed the problem quicker and cheaper. I have never written a review in my life but the disgusting customer service from the owner [name removed] warranted it. Deal with this crook at your own risk, but keep in mind if something goes wrong, you're on your own. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

[name removed] arrived 1 hour late. Charged $800 to replace 2 x bathroom taps and spout, 2 shower taps and 2 brass outdoor taps. Thought it was expensive at the time, but the invoice was not itemized. Finally got around to checking the prices at the local Reece for the parts used (which is where he bought them), and felt compelled to post this review: Posh Bristol Deluxe Shower Set Chrome $119.99 Posh Bristol Bath Set Chrome $69.99 The outdoor taps retail from bunnings for $12.85 - but I will give them the benefit of the doubt and say $25 ea So $800 for a 1 hour job with $240 in parts, works out to $560 for labour and travel. Wow, that's expensive, I definitely would not use them again. Workmanship was fine, but felt taken advantage of with the price. Make sure you get a detailed quote before getting them to do the work - I did ask for one, but he said he would sort it out on the day, and the Mrs didn't ask before he started work.

Curran's recently charged me $335 to change a tap washer at my commercial premises and also provided a quote for $600 or $700 to "refurb and replace" the taps. I paid for the change of washer (knowing that it was a rip off, but they were already onsite as they don't quote over the phone) - the tap started leaking again with a fortnight. Another local plumber ended up fixing the job for me free of charge and found they hadn't cleaned the coupling and had used washers far too soft for the job. He said that he would have charged $90-$120 for the same job, depending on how urgent the call out was. I have since also heard that they are known for price gouging and have quoted up to 6 times the price of other plumbers for the same work. I'll never use them again and would suggest you go elsewhere.

They don’t deserve even a 1* Our garden is a mess, the soil now keeps sinking, charged so much, the had to come back and fix the opening due to the stench our neighbour could even smelled and they buried our water meter, they wouldn’t want to fix it (oh, they offered us a 50% discount to fix their mistake). They have refused to reply our email. A bunch of clowns. Do not use them!!!

3 hours of searching with cameras and cutting pipes in several areas of our property with zero answers for $1,200. Bloke left us with a muddy mess saying it would be a week or two before he could get back to us. The next day we located and fixed the problem ourselves which was a small crack in the original pipe we thought was the problem. Complete and total waste of $1,200...stay away and save your money, they are no drain experts! Dreadful experience.

Beware! Submitted a request for a quote via the Capital Plumbing website (one of 3 plumbers engaged for the work) and they came out on the 27th of April and I received said quotes on the 29th. No issues there, guy who came out was very helpful in fact. Problem was I didn't proceed (not the best value) so they invoiced me near $400 for the callout 6 days later on the 3rd of May! Website states no callout fee, and at no time (until the invoice was received) were charges advised. Money grab if I've ever seen one. There are much better alternatives.

I had a tap doctor came in today to replace my shower heads and fix linking time. Warren from the tap doctor did an amazing job at a very well priced rate, i had a quote from another plumber before tap doctor and tap doctor quote was much more cheaper. Booked in for a toilet drain blockage, told him before he start the work, I did lots of plunging no luck.. He saw and said ok its a blocked need to use jet pressure, it’ll cos $197 but he only did plunges with big hand pump, and later said it blocked in pipes need to use jet pipes and camera which’ll cost $450. And still charged me for plunging $197. Left me no option by explaining once he start the process of jet pressure & still didn’t worked then have or dig a hole at the backyard and quoted me $4500. Job is undone. And gone, still was proud handed me the card saying call us once you decided.

Started off well, but when here the plumber enticed me into having him do something the following week by assuring me it wouldn't cost much. But it did. When it took longer than expected, I thought he might round hours worked downwards; to my surprise he instead padded them out quite outrageously. I eventually got their office to bring it back down to actual hours (by referencing time of ph calls on mobile) but it was unpleasant and cost more than I envisaged. Had he levelled with me about the extra work I would have pursued an alternative route myself. (It was about screw on legs on a standalone dishwasher not being long enough. He built me a frame to sit it on. "The wood will cost about $20; I'll cut it before I get here." If I'd known it would take a couple of hours I would've tried to find four bits of metal to stick into the legs myself. Oh, and he seems to have lost two of the four screw on legs, which I'd like to keep in case I want to use them later.) He also had an offsider with him, work experience perhaps, which because they spoke a fair bit slowed him down. So if I used these guys again I'd write down time, stipulate I only want one person, and be wary of promises that such and such won't take long!

I booked in plumber to arrive after 3pm on Tuesday 13 Feb. Made sure my son was home by 245 to be there. I was still waiting for someone to turn up or at least give me a courtesy call to let me know what was happening at 630 pm! I ended up ringing them to receive an answering machine. It is now the 15th and I have still had no contact from this business. I got a reliable plumber to come and fix the problem same day he said he would be there. Very disappointed and no recommendations from me.

I was quoted $66 for someone to come out to provide a quote to fix my solar hot water system, I received a call from a plumber at my dwelling informing me that the call out fee is now $200 because he had to check my plumbing?, no call to discuss beforehand, I didnt ask for him to check the house pipes, it has already been approved by the plumbing authority. I just wanted a quote to fix my solar hot water system, after all that they said they couldnt fix it and I need a new hot water system and said they will provide me with a quote, a month later still nothing, got someone else to repair my existing solar hot water these cowboys said couldnt be fixed.

Needing a plumber on 9th May 2018 I went to the go to man...Mr Google. Up came whywaitplumbing so I called and scheduled a visit to one of my investment properties in Parkwood. 4214 I asked for the Plumber to call once he was on site and to advise what he intended doing to clear the (blocked drainage). I took the called from (Plumber) and he said he had a waterblaster and it would easily clear the problem. Before hardly gasping for breathe he went on to say that I had better take his Annual Service Contract and this was only going to cost me $180 but I would need to agree to this prior to the work beginning. I declined and said I was only interested in getting the blockage cleared. Then he said ok. thats $566.31 have you got your credit card there!!! Omgoodness this man has no idea how to encourage business or build clientelle and confidence in workmanship. Next phone call I got was that he had cleared the blockage but discovered all my piping would need to be excavated, pulled out and replaced. (Of which I declined to accept). (he sent me an added invoice for this work and that totalled a further $3928.57 if he was to proceed). PLUS as the job would involve pulling up my concrete pad none of this work was included in the quote, plus there was a ream of other supposed/maybe/could happen/ situations that are also not included....but can be arranged at extra cost. This all got too much for me and I rung into whywaitplumbing to express my total dissatisfaction with this Tradie allocated to my job. I spoke with a lady called [name removed] and she apologised and explained they are a firm that Contracts their work out to numerous tradies, but, she would pass my words on. As the name implies WHY WAIT PLUMBING ....this is the very reason one....Should wait!! Do your research...flick over the page on these cowboys!

My hot water service died one night so I got them around early the next morning. They quoted me about $1500 more than the job was worth (though I didn't know it at the time) and they made me pay upfront so I couldn't get my money back once I realised I'd been had. Gotta admit though the service has been fine. Just wish I'd done my research beforehand. Would never use them again on principle.

My gas hot water system cylinder cracked this morning.Called Fix it plumbing and they came within 2 hours without a call out fee. The plumber talked me through the steps on what he needed to and could do it straight away. Same day service,competitive pricing. The plumber was really good with explaining how the system operates. 100% recommend these guys.

Dial up plumbing are absolutely awesome, we had a hot water leak out from a hot water pipe , as dial a plumbing are such professional company, we had a professional technician who only finds leaks in pipes under a concrete slab Charlie arraigned the out side professional leak detector gentleman, and within the hour he had found our leak , Charlie is a loyal professional and extremely helpful to the home owner who has not had hot water for 3 days, Charlie rang another team mate to come over to help him fix our problem, within 2 hrs they have fixed it and they where extremely professionally , they cleaned up after themselves and the quote they gave us at the beginning did not change at the final payment quote , dial up plumbing are the technicians you need if you have got either blocked pipes , leaking taps or pipes , Charlie your a beautiful gentleman and Ben your just as beautiful thank you dial up a plumbing as with out you we would have a higher bill and the workmanship would not be the ants pants , Charlie and Ben you two are dial up plumbing xo

I was moved to write this after reading two very negative reviews. I have used this company at my house on several occasions. Once was to repair a leak in the roof area on a Sunday morning. The plumber not only repaired the leak but helped me removed the wet insulation. I have also used them for other minor repairs and to install new toilets. One of the toilets was not up to the standard I expected and it was replaced with a unit without any argument. The owner of the firm was one of the plumbers who have visited. All have been friendly and professional.

I had a leaking sink, Mr washer came out and quoted ($250 approximately) on the job, took pictures which was very impressive. Found something else that was a problem and informed me. The price was the same and they wanted me to join their club for a discounted rate, I was not interested. The reviews I read about them online were all positive, the guy did the job not having the correct parts and used sealants that look like bird droppings. When I complained about the quality of the job, the boss rang me to say that if I wanted the job done properly it would cost me another $200. I have sent pictures of the job by SMS to other plumbers and they all make the comment "they cannot be licensed plumbers, they give the industry a bad name" Now all I receive is junk/spam/propaganda emails after I have requested them to remove me from their mailing list. STAY AWAY FROM THEM, things are grim when they want you to join a club for a better rate, they quote low to do a cheap job, then want to charge you extra to do the job properly!

My 90 year old dad had his kitchen sink clogged. They quoted the price of $365 first and when I complained lowered it to $185. It took them literally 5 min to fix it. So $110 (minus service call fee) for 5 minutes of work, Shame! Will never use them again.

Charged over 5 times what the website quoted for a very quick and basic drain blockage (the blockage was one meter from the inspection point). He would not issue an invoice and insisted I pay on the spot (which was not explained on the phone). I have now been chasing a tax invoice for a month and still haven't got one.

Op 28 januari 2019 hebben we een toilet set en 2 wastafel kranen besteld. Op de afleveringsdatum troffen wij een briefje aan in de brievenbus dat de zending retour depot is mee genomen. Na telefonisch contact werd duidelijk dat het transport schade aan de WC pot betrof en is overeen gekomen dat de complete zending opnieuw naar ons wordt gestuurd. Zending was echter niet compleet, de WC pot ontbrak bij de toilet set. Mijn vrouw heeft nog tegen de bezorger gezegd dat er ook een WC pot bij hoorde. Hier kon hij geen antwoord op geven, vervolgens heeft mijn vrouw alsnog getekend. Mede omdat er 2 colli op de levering stond, dit is misleidend. Voor mensen die niet bekend zijn met logistieke processen is 2 kartonnen dozen 2 colli. Na enige dagen hebben we telefonisch contact opgenomen met Sanitairkamer.nl met de vraag waar de WC pot blijft. Werknemer(s) blijven hetzelfde mantra herhalen dat ze op een scherm zien dat alles is geleverd. Voor ons is het onbegrijpelijk dat je in je logistiek proces niet terug kunt vinden of er zoiets groots als een WC pot wel of niet fysiek in de zending aanwezig is. Een coulance regeling of in ieder geval een vervangende WC pot hangende het uitzoeken wat er fout ging om toch vooruit te kunnen bestaat bij jullie blijkbaar niet. We waarderen het dat de toezegging is gedaan om een voorraad telling te doen maar hebben weinig vertrouwen in het feit of dit ook werkelijk wordt uitgevoerd. We zijn nog nooit op zo een onfatsoenlijke wijze behandeld en er worden telkens mondelinge terugbel afspraken niet nagekomen. Een mondeling afspraak is ook bindend mochten dit iets nieuws zijn voor Sanitairkamer.nl Want zo ga je niet om met je klanten als je er prat op gaat een 9,1 voor klantvriendelijkheid te scoren!!!! He didn’t actively wish to take off the bath panel which would have identified where the leak had occurred. This was a disappointing investigation which didn’t help us resolve the problem. He was hurried and in between jobs..

I bought a large folding shower screen 8 years ago and it is still working in good order. I needed some new door seals (this is the 2nd time), but all makes do discolour so no complaint about that. As I am sorry to say and others have made a similar observation, the telephones are not answered and this issue goes way back- same a year ago. However an e-mail dealt with by Cindy provided a diagram of my screen with all parts marked so I ordered a set of 3 sections,albeit I only needed the long hinge one but as Cindy offered me a great price for the 3, far cheaper than elsewhere- in fact all 3 pieces for less than one on another site I bought the full set the 2 currently not needed will be useful in due course. Unfortunately, as has happened before the warehouse sent out the wrong parts, but an e-mail to Cindy put it right and a delivery was made the day following my report of the incorrect item. In my opinion the shower screen which I originally bought was great value for money. If only the phones were adequately staffed this would be a great company worth 5 stars. However 5 stars for Cindy!!

Initially a good product, however after only a months use a runner broke. So I tried calling the company repeatedly........either no answer or a message saying their phone system was down for maintenance. After sending an email a a few months wait I finally was contacted by Cindy at Aica Bathrooms to resolve my issue. I can positively say that despite the initial problems it has now restored my faith in their products and hope to use them again on my next project. Many thanks Aica Bathrooms.

1 x 100x80X195cm Duschkabine was of very good quality. Delivery came within 4 days. Received mail on Wednesday it will be delivered on Thursday. Requested online the delivery to be on Friday instead, but it came on Thursday anyway. The two parcels were left infront of the house, one upside down despite clear instructions on the parcels. One parcel had a small damage but all inside was fine. Aica Sanitär did all to my 100% satisfaction, but the delivery company did not do a good job.

Anthony upgraded my aging conventional boiler system to a combi system (Baxi). He came round, listened to the problems we had and what we wanted to achieve and he gave his honest recommendation, taking into consideration everything we spoke of. He wasn't pushy and knew his stuff, and came to the house a couple of times on my request. He's very knowledgeable with everything I asked him, and I do ask alot of questions! His work was excellent, VERY conscientious, clean and tidy and left the house in a presentable and livable way at the end of every day. He took away all the old parts of the boiler and cylinder and disconnected and made good all the unwanted pipes in the airing cupboard and loft. And the after service is excellent also! I had a minor issue )that I had caused I might add!) I called and he was there that afternoon to explain what I did wrong and the rectify. And just a few weeks ago, I receive a text from Ant to remind me the boiler needs servicing, no need for me to remember to chase him...making it easy to get the new boiler serviced. He also fitted a vanity unit and sink without any fuss also. For me, I would always call Anthony first for any plumbing, gas and heating issues or projects or new installations I might have. I was quoted $1423.40 to replace the shut-off valve on my unit. I was quoted 4-5 hours work. My son had a look at the valve, reached in and scooped 5 handfuls of dirt away from the tap and gave the top of the valve a wire brush. He used a socket to remove the connecting nut. I bought a replacement tap head from Bunnings at $8.00. Job done.
