The small businesses cannot compete dollar for dollar with the corporate juggernauts. One way that levels the playing field for all businesses is the Internet. However it also creates a lot of deception. Businesses can throw money at the Internet to mask their true nature. If you do not have a word of mouth referral from your friend you are left with scouring the Internet for reviews and competitors but these days a lot of the reviews are paid and websites have dozens of sites that take up the search spots and drive the traffic to them. For example, a company in Florida called Apple Roof Cleaning Tampa has dozens of sites and very old reviews. At first glance they appear to be the leading roof cleaners in the area because their numerous sites take up the top spots. When you dig a little deeper you will see complaints and shady business practices. If you check BBB, they have numerous negative complaints that were never satisfied. They act as several businesses such as ASPC, SpotFreeRoos, National Roof Cleaning Association, etc. This way when you search for a roof cleaner in Tampa they seed the listings with their information and give consumers a false sense of choice when in actuality they are looking at 1 or 2 companies that have 10 - 20 links and different business names. On many of their sites, they use a BBB image instead of the actual code provided by BBB and therefore they show a higher BBB rating than they actually have. Plain and simple, they are required to use the code provided by BBB and by not using it they are deceiving customers. Businesses can improve or decrease through time, so it is hard to slam a business today when tomorrow it can change. But this example is a common practice among the industries and it saddens those who know. It squashes competition and it frustrates consumers. I mean are they pinellas roof cleaning, tampa pressure washing, harbor roof cleaning or ASPC? Overall, the business appears to do their job well. They clean roofs. However, they have horrible customer service and their chemicals are not as friendly as they state. In fact, the chemicals typically kill the plants surrounding the house and are most likely toxic to the environment. Wouldnt it be nice if you could get a snapshot about a business and its employees? Criminal records, mug shots, honest reviews? One day someone will solve this problem, for now we are left to surf the world wide web of unverified content. Before you sign a contract for services, call around and it may sound strange but ask the competitors what they know about their competitors. If a business totally trashes their competitors, run. If a business knows nothing of the others, how long have they been around. If a business tells you why they are better than the rest and hints and reasons not to use the others without airing their dirty laundry - grab hold.

The cleaning agents used are not toxic nor does Apple Roof Cleaning kill the plants around the home as the article states. Apple Roof Cleaning of Tampa is the company to call when you want the job done right the first time.
