I purchased a reconditioned sheet battery for my sony vaio laptop. It was defective (hey it happens), however numerous emails trying to resolve this issue have left me very frustrated. I will NEVER buy from them again!

Purchase a Refurbished Sony Laptop Online, was really good deal too good to be true, i checked same item at sony for $999 , got from these guys for $699. Called them on phone right away to confirm order and make sure the item was correctly priced with those specs, talked to a live person Eugene, confirmed order and address with them, shipped same day via fedex and i had it in 2 days, got the laptop, excited, opened the box, its NEW, like NEW NOT USED, not sure how they are able to sell this stuff at such low prices but im recommending them to all my friends, i got an amazing deal. im really surprised to be honest by this deal i got from them. no real issues, been over 5 months and still works, they do only give 90-days warranty on products with option to buy more, but id stick to 90-days, sony is a good trusted name.

I called to check on an after 2 weeks of not hearing anything. The lady on the phone was very nice and she explained my order had been processed during a computer backup and got lost. It charged my credit card so it wasn't that lost. She got it straightened out for me and reordered.

I purchased a powered USB hub with a serial port from USBGear / CoolGear (same people) in December. It arrived DOA, the power adapter was bad. I was completely underwhelmed with the product, absent users manual, and lack of drivers and technical data on their web site. I contacted their tech support and after being told to read the manual (none, remember), my trouble ticket was closed. So I returned the item for a refund. I received the item back a month or so later with a good power adapter, and no refund. No replies to my e-mails, I am probably stuck with it. In short, marginal product, no documentation, offensive technical support and no customer service. Never again.

i have ordered with CS numerous times over the past 4-5 years. 6 mo warranty + tested refurb dell/name brand products + pricing = why. service = why i'm writing this. joe, manny, and everyone there is equally helpful. only had handful of hardware issues over the years (disks eventually fail etc) and they replace it w/o even asking about the warranty sometimes. if its small, no rma involved, just toss the defect. they have proven to be a super find with likewise service thus far, and considering how quickly, easily, and ubiquitously this industry ticks me off ... trust me, this is a rare and earned compliment.

I placed my Soyo motherboard order Friday night from Michigan. The WEBsite provided the shipping info on Monday and I've got the merchandise with no problems, whatsoever 6 days later, via FEDEX ground. Packaging was done well, the product worked, no problems after installation. Pleasant experience.

Grom USB2P-HON1 bluetooth Auxiliary Interface with Bluetooth option not working well in my Honda Odyssey 2007 with NAV and RES. It could be my phone, but it's an HTC EVO, very standard, it should not have posed a problem. I don't get any sound coming from the speaker when using the phone connected to GROM in Bluetooth mode, how annoying. Accessing Autotoys help is confusing, the Youtube uncut video doesn't work. I have to wade through a maze to find out the necessary information, and still my bluetooth phone doesn't work.

Ordered from the UK especially as it is impossible to get these drives in the UK. I spoke to the guy who deals with Paypal, Steve and he was very friendly and helpful and I can't say anything bad about the company. My delivery came about 2 weeks later due to the delay at Customs. The drive arrived in perfect condition and worked an absolute treat. Cannot fault Thortek one bit. I will certainly not hesistate to order again!

I recently ordered a printer from U Save Gelt. I asked a simple question in the comments section during purchase. I also received a confirmation. They responded a day later with an answer to the question... AND they attached my personal information (unencrypted or hidden) as text on the end of the message. WHAT?!? Did I use HTTPS (SECURE?!) only to have that same information repeated insecurely in a mail message? Oh, that's smart! Depending on the outcome of this purchase, I may be returning soon...

Printer took 2 weeks to recieve and had no invoice included with order. Recieve printer that was defective. Tried to explain that the company i worked for is HP certified, so could verify that printer was defective. U-save Gelt CSR said that he would not give RMA for printer until we called HP and recieved a reference number that printer was defective. Now this is through some useless level 1 hp phone tech who has never even laid eyes on the printer and our customer who is has now had a demo of a defective unit, and who's business is waiting for a printer is forced to wait longer. U-save gelt will never get business from us again.

This is in reference to two separate orders sales numbers: 5763 and 5558 in jully of 2000 The cooler master fan/heatsink I purchased failed to adequately cool the AMD 800 athlon CPU I also purchased from this company. It became so hot that the plastic clips holding the fan to the heat sink melted and the fan fell off which allowed the CPU to over heat and it is now non-functional. The refused to take any responsibility for the defective heatsink or the damage it caused and after jerking me around for a wile basically told it was my tough luck.

I ordered an auto CD/receiver from these guys on very early December 16 morning, after finding them via pricegrabber. They had the best price for the Kenwood unit I was looking for a Christmas gift. I ordered the item "three day select" shipping. I called them Tuesday afternoon and was told to call back on Wednesday to find out the status. I did and was told they could not contact the "warehouse" but the unit must have been shipped since they invoiced me already but no tracking number or proof of shipping. I called back again twice Thursday, same thing on Friday and Sunday. On Monday morning (Dec 22) I called again and finally got a tracking number, it had shipped Thursday via regular GROUND UPS (not the three day select I paid for). I called back after tracking the item and requested a refund of shipping cost, they said that they would, got a call back Tuesday morning saying they had credited my cc for the difference of the shipping costs (that is good). I did get the item today (Christmas Eve) so that is very good. I will say this, the item was well packaged and everytime I called these guys during business hours, someone answered the phone and tried to help.

I have purchased a $2000 machine from Advantage, and I have nothing but pleasure using it. I checked all of the components right after I received the machine and everything was just as I ordered, actually they gave me a better CPU 1.8ghz instead of 1.7 because the 1.7 was not available and they did not try to charge me extra for it. The machine was configured perfecly and the way I requested it. I love my computer and I hope you will have the same experience with these guy's. They will be the place where I buy my next pc.

I ordered accessories for my Treo 600 on November 19, 03 (Handspring double charger and styli). At the time of the order Mobileplanet indicated that the double charge would be available in approx. two weeks. Contacted customer service at that point and item was still unavailable. Was informed that it would be available no later than December 03. Today is 12/31/03 and item is still unavailable. Why? Because it hasn't even been manufactured yet by the manufacturer according to what a rep at Handspring told me. I contacted a manager at Mobile Planet who was very cordial and helpful and informed him of this issue. He aggreed to waive shipping charges and overnighted the other part of my order. Although this was a nice gesture, I should have been informed by customer service at Mobile Planet, when I spoke to them, that the item that I ordered (double charger) was not available from the manufacturer. How can you post an item to sell when the manufacturer has not even created the item for sale. This is a very bad business practice and hopefully will be corrected by Mobile Planet. Until then I would hesitate purchasing from there again. Update: 12/18/2004-I was looking for a bluetooth headset for my IPAQ 6315. MobilePlanet indicates that a model from Plantronics (M2500_6315) is available. I contacted the manufacturer Plantronics and they informed me that the M2500 is currently incompatible with the IPAQ 6315 and that it drops calls causing the user to "hard reset" the device each time that occurs. In effect Mobile Planet is selling an incompatible device and touting it as compatible. Very poor business practice. I thought I would give Mobile Planet a second chance, but I don't think I will attempt to shop there again unless they change their business practice.

I've been buying from Maxgroup for at least 5 years and I am disappointed in them in that they seem to carry some very old inventory that once in a while gets dumped on the unsuspecting. I bought 12 cases to build 10 PC's for a bid for my customer and the cases did not support USB and the power supplies did not support Sata power. I got what I thought was a good price on 12 seagate sata drives of which I had to RMA 5 of them, I also RMA'd 2 of the motherboards, 2 of the cases. I had not made a purchase in about a year when Lisa called and asked for my business again. I am building a server for a client and the components that I would get from maxgroup come to $1700. 3rd generation i7 and 2011 motherboard. I called my client to tell them the parts arrived and I will call when their system is built and burned in. I ordered a Retail box cpu which should come with a cpu and here I am jumping through hoops to find a 2011 cpu fan at the last minute while my customer is calling to see when their system is ready. To make matters worse the motherboard will not post with the cpu, ram and motherboard purchased from them.

I think I am up to around 7 orders from MaxGroup in the last year. They have the best prices on the web for CDRW Drives, DVD Drives and Keyboards. I have been very satisfied with Max Group's service and with the speed that they ship to me. I had one floppy drive malfunction out of all of the items that I have bought from them. The price was so good that it wasn't worth doing an RMA on it. These people have worked hard for and deserve my business. Called today to check again and they had NO idea when ready, no apology, no suggestion. Asked for a manager who was COMPLETELY rude and not helpful. They called back to say another 30 days till order would ship. Don't waste your time or give money to people who don't care about customers and should NOT be in the customer service business.

I called to find out why and was treated like some jerk and got a complete runaround. Ended up disputing the charge. There are better choices for spending your money.

I had a faulty motherboard where the mouse port nor keyboard port were working properly, I had to botch it up with bits of rubber, and in the end they totally failed to work. Then they sold me a heatsink/fan combo for the CPU which is then been taken of the market which damaged 2 AMD Athlon XPs. They did not replace either of the items and said they tested the motherboard four times, I took the motherboard to a different shop who said that there was definately a problem with the keyboard and mouse port so they supplied me with USB keyboard and I had to order a USB mouse from elsewhere. They also played me about a lot and didn't even send back my components when they said and they confirmed on more than 2 occasions but failed to do so. I was extremely dissapointed with the service and do not recommend anyone purchasing from here, because if they have to replace something, they won't do it!

Overall impression of this seller is very poor - messed me around for over 2 weeks with an RMA and then sent the same faulty item back to me with the same fault minus half of its packaging (a situation THEY would never accept if it were the other way around!).Would NOT use again if they were the last reseller on the web!

I did not know I was ordering from these guys, I had ordered from a web site called pcsuperdeals.com, which is unrated here but had a fairly high rating from another service. I received my ordered parts in two days, in good order, no problems. However, the goods were shipped UPS signature required, which is always a pain for home delivery, getting home and finding the UPS slip and having to go to the UPS distribution center to pick the parcel up. That lowers my rating for them, other than that, no problem.

Returned a DVD+-R Burner for warranty - after 7 weeks I am still waiting. I realise that resellers hands are tied when manufactuers are slow. But Gamedude has exasperated the problem through a lack of communication and an unwillingness to be of any assistance giving an ETA. Have bought a new burner elsewhere while waiting. Very poor attitude towards customers. End result - after 8 weeks, and constant requests for a Part ETA, Gamdude did the right thing and gave me another (used 2nd hand) burner.

I purchased an XFX 7800GT video card from Gamedude for $500. First it took over 2 weeks from payment date to receive the part, they sent me the wrong model number part even after I rang them to confirm with them whether the card they were advertising on their website was the actual picture or the part number, they told me the part number is what I will get and to ignore the picture as it was wrong picture. Anyway I receive it and guess what? I got the card in the picture, not the part number as advertised. Then I open it up and I have no free bundled games as advertised. I ring them up and end up talking to some rude guy called Adrian who tells me that games only come with the GTX version. The box states clearly that bundled games should be included. My friend bought the same card weeks before me from eBay. He got it for same price as me, came in 3 days from USA and he got the correct part and bundled games. If they had sent me the correct model in the first place, I would have the games and the card I originally ordered. When asked what they were going to do about it, he told me “What can I do about it if I don’t have the games here?” This is supposed to be my problem?? I was told I have to get in contact with XFX about the games. Did they have an Australian contact for them? No! And whats more I was expected to chase this up also. I didn’t even get an apology for sending the wrong part. When I told them how dissatisfied I was with the service and the F*%& around, he hung up on me. Which just goes to show, when these guys know they are in the wrong they will not take responsibility for it and take the easy option which is to get rid of the customer, after all they just got my $500 and sent me incomplete part what do they care?? I would stay well away from this store. Yeah the prices are cheap, but u get what u pay for. That is over 2 weeks to receive parts, no communication, rude customer service and then a slap in the face. I will NEVER be buying anything from them again and will be letting the rest of the world know and anyone who mentions ordering from gamedude know also just what they are getting themselves into. SHAME GAMEDUDE SHAME!!!

I had paid for a "full" retail version of Norton AntiVirus 2005. Instead, I received an OEM version "for use only in the Middle East and Africa." When I called customer service, they mentioned they made a "mistake" and could do a product exchange. However, they could not pay for the return shipping, and when I asked if the exchange would be for a "US retail version", they did not give a straight answer. Caveat Emptor.

Ordered Microsoft Access 2003 from their website which showed Mfg. # 077-02870 (the full retail version). They shipped Access 2003 Upgrade (077-02871) along with an illegally distributed copy of Microsoft Office 97 OEM. I informed them of the "mistake" and they offered to exchange what I received for the correct item if I paid them more money! Bait and switch?! I told them I wanted them to ship the correct item, but they refused to honor the sale. I have reported them to Microsoft for illegal OEM license distribution, filed a complaint with my state's Attorney General, and initiated a chargeback against them with my credit card. Don't let them get away with their fraudulent practices!

I was skeptical at first because there was not very much feedback about this site. I took the plunge and ordered my first laptop. A few days later the laptop was here and the money was taken out of my bank account. The parts arrived in great condition and I have had no problems, so far. I am very pleased with my order. I saved around $300 dollars ordering a barebones laptop from there and buying the other parts from newegg. Plus, I dont have all those pesky stickers all over my laptop. I WILL be ordering from there again in the next few years when my laptop is outdated.

I ordered Norton Antivirus 2014- 3 pc download on June 25, 2014 and per web site I would receive a product key code within 48 hours. It is now June 30, 2014 and I have not received an email with the product key code. I have tried to contact Computer's Worth on their business #, on their customer service # (which gives a fast busy signal every time you call it), and also emails as to which they do not respond to. I would not recommend doing business with this Company. I really don't think they are in business anymore. I think their automated ordering system is just taking orders and money.

I recently bought a D300s along with a bag from Canoga. The whole buying experience has as always been seamless (I have been a loyal customer and fan since 2005). This time however was the first time when I had to return a product – the bag didn’t meet my expectations. The return process and communication with Canoga staff was amazing. I have used Meritline often for years, and have been generally satisfied. Items from Singapore obviously take a couple of weeks to arrive with FREE shipping. A few purchases had short lifetimes, but were cheap enough to gamble on. I rarely purchase items over $20 and had never before contacted "service." I purchased some double sided emblem tape for $1.99 (Spring of 2014, not 2012 as shown below) and was very pleased. Nothing like ordinary double sided, I used this for car side trim strips, loose door panels, dashboard clocks and reattached the weatherstrip all the way around my van's sliding door. I was glad to see it on sale again with free shipping. Just as I clicked "confirm" I noticed that expedited shipping had been preselected. This doubled the price and seemed sneaky, but I figured I would just open the confirmation email and click "cancel this order" like Amazon. Couldn't find a "cancel" in the email or on my account page. Had to research how to do it and found you must call a 626 area code number. My long distance is free so I called and of course got a recording and left all the vitals. 30 minutes later and no call back, so I emailed them so it would cancel before it was processed for shipping. I'm still waiting for a call back 18 days later but received a response to my email 12 hours later saying it had been processed and couldn't be cancelled. No biggy, only $1.99, but I was curious as to whether I had misunderstood the instructions. I found in the fine print that you must keep calling until you talk to someone live. Fine, they DON'T answer the phone, and they WON'T return messages. Good luck with that. The email said I could return the item but I wouldn't fool with that for anything under $20.

I have purchased some items in the past but never paid attention in detail as those items were not of immediate need. It took over 1 week to receive Nero 6. Did not inform me that it was not shipped out due to some type of delay. Also the version of Nero is an OEM version even thought it listed the ability to use the powerful Nero Burning Rom, the OEM version only lets you use the weaker Nero Express program. Site did not list this until very very recently. It maybe fine for some, but I expected the full version. If you still plan to order call before you place an order to make damn sure you're getting what you're ordering.

took them about 20 days to send nero 6 i ordeded.never reponded to email. the oem nero 6 has big problems. would not play dvd (my xp does have directx9)worse yet, it destroyed my other dvd players. reintalling software and discovering the problem kill at least 10 hours of time. refund is not worth it. these people are the worst i have dealt with

It was easy but the total with the shipping added was a shock. Around $10 for a very lightweight tripod strap is a bit pricey, but not as bad as buying a correct size screw reducer to fit in my 3205 and 3021 then a D bolt in that and then a strap. Probably cheaper by a few bucks. Thanks.

Their web site states the following re price matching - "If you make a purchase from Hifi.com, and then find the same product for less within 30 days at an authorized retailer, prove it and we'll refund the difference. We reserve the right to honor this policy only in cases of a factory authorized dealer, where we can verify that the item in question is in stock for immediate delivery. The price being matched must include any applicable local sales tax and/or delivery fees." The site I had a lower price from requies that you send an automated email to them requesting the current price, it's not listed on the web site. Hifi.com told me that since the price was not on the site they would not honor the price match. It takes 30 seconds or a phone call to the site with the lower price to confirm it, they refused to do that even though their policy states that I had to do was "prove" to them that I found a lower price. A call to a supervisor resulted in the same answer in a very curt tone. They do not live up to what they say on their site. The item was in stock at the other dealer and they are an authorized dealer for the product.

What I received was exactly that, however, the watch was not covered with the plastic stickers over the mental, the metal on the wristband was scratched and the booklet was obviously used. No response to emails so I warn everyone to be careful with this company. Cheap might become expesive real fas if you paid for 'nothing'.

I ordered a 27" TV from Crazy Eddie. They had the best price on the net even after the $130 shipping. However, the TV was dead on arrival. It would not power up or anything. After triple-checking that I wasn't doing anything wrong, I called Crazy Eddies and told them the problem. They promptly told me that it was a new TV still under warranty and to call Samsung for repair. Needless to say, that wasn't the response I wanted or expected. But my other option would have been to ship the TV back at my own expense for another $100. So I ended up with a Repaired TV for the price of a new TV. Samsung service, by the way, was prompt and professional. Within one week after my initial call they had made a service visit, ordered the parts, and returned and completed the repair. So I would seriously consider ordering from Crazy Eddie, especially on large items. They do have low prices but you are taking the risk of receiving a nonworking item and having to deal with their sub-par return policies. After doing some research on Crazy Eddie (I know, I should've done it before I bought), I found some interesting stuff on serious legal troubles that Eddie faced for illegal business practices: "The owner, Eddie Antar was investigated by the SEC for suspicion of manipulation of financial books and earnings. Antar fled and lived as a fugitive for a while, during which time the government issued a $73 million judgement against him. He surfaced in Israel, and was extradited to the US in 1992. Eddie Antar finally pled guilty in 1996 for conspiracy and racketeering and spent seven years in prison." Great product for a great price although if you do not spend over 20 dollars US your package will be mailed registered airmail in a thin brown paper envelope that may or may not make the trip from Malaysia where they are based. It took 12 business days for me to receive my package as it was so dirty, torn, and worn that my address was almost obliterated off the front. Luckily on that 12th day, the postman took a gamble and asked if we were expecting a parcel from Malaysia after who knows how long it sat in the PO... I emailed FrontX to suggest that even if it cost a dollar or 2 more, I would rather pay for a better grade envelope that would better guarantee the safety of my purchase. I had a response immediately after, (well when they opened in Malaysia) and was told that my suggestion was forwarded on to management. This was from one of the sales managers. I appreciated the promptness of the reply. All in all I'd have to say good product, fast ordering and initial shipment. Transit pretty much blew, but not their fault. Customer service replies were prompt and professional on the 2 occasions that I emailed with questions or suggestions. A learning experience for me, but I would most definitely order from them again. Just remember - spend more than 20 US and they will ship it FedEx and you get it in a few days. buy a small item for 7.90 like I did and shipping is free but 6 - 10 days being shuffled around in a thin brown paper envelope. (think grocery bag but thinner) Oh yea and registered air mail tracking numbers are as useful as lint. They (USPS) don't even update them at all after they initially report it has been shipped.

I had wanted to order this front port kit when I first saw it awhile ago, finally did and am very happy with the product and especially the customer service. You don't get a tracking number automatically but the sales dept will send it to you promptly be emailing request. Everything was well packed and in good condition and arrived very quickly from Malaysi by Fedex with free shipping. The internal usb I ordered fit my ECS K7S5A without modification and worked immediately. I had just a little difficulty mounting the unit with the rails on my case with the supplied screws that had collars on them, just used some old screws from the case and then it was fine. Highly recommend. I wish I was still building computers as I would put them in everyone's case. A great idea.

I buy plenty from them in the past and its mostly low quality, junk stuff. Avoid them at all cost, these are a bunch of taiwanese selling mostly made in China product. They can't speak english too well and the engrish grammar is just as bad as those are in India. I initially had apprehension about buying because their 13" white unibody MacBook 2.4 GHz is only $849.99 after $105.00 rebate. It was too good to be true especially that a rebate exists for this Mac. After careful research, I found them to be one of only few Apple Authorized Resellers on Apple.com with BH Photo, Best Buy, JR, Fry's and MacConnection's other site PCConnection. So I took the risk and found out it was pleasant to do business with them. The MacBook shipped fast, sealed and carefully packaged in another huge box. I called them up the day of the ETA from UPS to change my mind and return the Mac and so they were kind enough not to charge me a restocking fee as long as I return it unopened. I changed my mind and kept the system. The MacBook came with factory defect though. The Optical Drive is defective. The agent at MacConnection was very prompt in all his response. I have emailed them only about my case and answered all my questions. He gave me a Return Authorization with prepaid shipping (because the product was defective) and will ship me a new Mac once they got back the defective one. I decided I keep the Mac and go back to Apple to have the Optical Drive replaced. Regarding the rebate, the Mac has identical UPC label on the white box and the manila box it is in. Agent had me cut the UPC on the manila box retaining the white Apple box intact. I had no trouble at all from this merchant. I will perhaps come back to them when I upgrade to MacBook Pro. UPDATE: I received the $105.00 rebate, about 5 weeks after submission. Not bad, at par with all other rebates from other stores.

I purchased a USB/Firewire 3.5" combo drive from them. It arrived a few days later, and I got several months good use out of it. Then, without warning, the enclosure failed, after I did some extensive tests ensuring that it wasn't the hard drive I had stuck in there that failed. So I contacted their support via email several times but didn't get any sort of reply. So I finally RMA'd it just before the warrantee expired. They fixed it, but it took them 3 months to do it, since it was a discontinued product and they had to order parts from Asia. They even admitted that they had told their web people to take the product off the website, but that hadn't happened, and they continue to get about 20-30 orders daily for it. They don't respond to emails very quickly at all; it's usually necessary calling them on the phone to get results. However, they were polite and apologetic and did provide me with updates when the enclosure was being serviced. The enclosure is now fixed and works again, for which I am glad... but I do wish they could provide that information via email instead of providing it only over the phone. Overall, I would suggest staying away from them. They may have a large selection, and at least in my experience, they were able to fix things in the end. However, my feeling is that their logistics leaves something to be desired (as would seem to be the case in the older reviews here), so be prepared for long delays if something wrong happens.

Unfortunately one of the items I ordered was damaged in shipping. Not the fault of the company. Contacted Office Depot and they agreed to replace the item. I waited over 2 weeks for the new product to arrive. I called the company again, they were going to check into it and email me once they know what was happening. I waited over a week. I called the company again, and was promised the item will arrive by this Friday. IF it comes, hopefully it will not be damaged. The only reason for the bad review is the EXTREME delay in getting my replacement item and the lack of communication and follow-up on their part.

Ordered a MagicBox on the 12th, it shipped out on the 14th and I received it on the 21st, after 3 days of waiting for UPS to send it from their local location to my house. Found out when I received it that the MagicBox was not compatible with DDR pads, although no mention was made on their website, while other similar items had a warning about compatibility. I emailed them to see what could be done and to see the website corrected. Result : no reply, website is still wrong. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone I care about.

(October 20th, 2004 -- Email sent to Roxio regarding Order ID #200410190820ROX585033:) When Roxio sent me the special invitation to to upgrade my Roxio CD Creator version 5 for $40 for a limited time only, I thought Roxio was offering the latest version, so on Tuesday, 19th of October 2004, I jumped on it before Roxio had a chance to change their minds. So, I'm asking, "If do decide to still get version 7, is it possible to upgrade from this to the new one for another $40. Still considering 7.0 but not for $120 ($40 + $100-$20." Somehow this seems kind of sneaky. Watch what you are upgrading to, before you accept an offer as being a must accept. It looks like Roxio fooled me into upgrading to version 6.2, hoping I will pay another $100 to upgrade next week to version 7.0! (sent to Roxio on 11/8/2004 4:40:09) I've tried out your Roxio Easy CD & DVD Creator 6.2 and have found it is not for me! The Disk Copy does not like my DVD/CD Reader (all music CD's are seen as incompatible blank DVD's in version 6 -- but seen fine by other peice of software, including the EOM version 5, of Roxio) and the Sound Editor really doesn't seem any better that the $7 RIP Vinyl program I already have. The rest of the program is of little use to me, as my program of preference is still Microsoft Media Player versions 9 and 10 for most storing and burning of CDs. And, For RIPping cassettes, I still prefer RIP Vinyl. Is there a process for returning Roxio 6 and getting my money back? I have already uninstalled version 6 off my computer and put version 5 OEM back onto my computer. I have Roxio 6. Seduced by Roxio's emailed barrage of how great version 7 is I ordered it. However, it turns out that version 7 is not backward compatible with version 6. During installation of 7 one is advised to leave version 6 installed "to avoid problems in reading media recorded on version 6. There is no mention of this problem in the manual (which is so cheap you will need a magnifying glass to read the tiny faint print) and one doesn't find out about it until you've broken the software seal and tried to instal it. I emailed them asking if it was imperative to leave version 6 installed and in reply received one of their canned "knowledge base" replies. I had researched and read it previously and it did not address the issue. I emailed them again asking them to please just answer my question. I still want for the courtesy of a reply. I am switching to Nero and I am sending Roxio 7 back. Of course there's no mention of RMA's etc on their site so I'll dispute the charge with my credit card company on the basis that Roxio did not disclose the problem up front. Userisme.

update 4-9-09 After speaking with Brett on 3-30-09 I was to be shipped replacement parts for the two that were not working right. Nothing shipped as of today and they have no record. I called in 4-2-09 and spoke with Rich. He determined I had a bad cable on my vcr commander. As of today I have not received any replacement parts at all. I called in today ...they have no record of anything being shipped to replace my bad parts. 3 Items that are needed for me to operate my system as I wanted are bad. Tech support was good on these items to find the bad parts...but 3 bad parts are not a good total. I will dispute the charges if I do not hear from them by tomorrow 4-9-10......needless to say.... I am not happy at this time. Having owned an x10 camera system before and having two light modules left over ....someone tried to break into my garage. I ordered a 4 cam system with motion sensors and extra parts needed to use it to record to a vcr and an extra video receiver so I could also view and record on my PC. It took 5 calls to customer service just to get the order shipped the first time.....they had entered the wrong exp date for my credit card. That solved I decided I wanted an extra vid receiver for my front room. When trying to setup and install the software on my PC it was a realy PITA and had to contact tech support several times. Once it WAS working it took up 100% of my cpu usage....leaving me with a useless pc. It then quit working and almost over heated my CPU ( heat warning came on to warn me in time ) The VCR commander at this time will not " learn " the commands from my VCR to start the recorder. At this time I can not use the pc software or the vcr to automaticaly record. I did find a great tech support guy Brett A! He got my issue figured out with the pc recording....bad usb interface. Has one on the way to me now. After 4 days of frustration ....I am going to let the vcr commander issue sit for a day or so.....I have no patience left right now. I will update this later once I get the replacement parts and attempt to program the vcr commander.

I am truly sorry (and getting sorrier by the minute) that I recommended X10's equipment to a good customer of mine. I have spent no less than 30 hours trying to troubleshoot first the Vanguard system, then the Sentinel system, then finally Active Home Pro when neither of the other 2 worked. Active Home remote viewing doesn't work either, at this point in time. I've been in the computer business for 16 years and I have yet to see software from a supposed 'security company' that is as insecure and buggy as this. THIS SOFTWARE USES ACTIVE_X FOR THE REMOTE 'WEB VIEW' AND DOES NOT WORK WITH WINDOWS 7 64 BIT SYSTEMS! Period! ActiveX is old technology and it doesn't appear that they have any fixes in the works. Tech support has been marginal, mostly consisting of 'standard response' solutions that I have already tried. The wireless cameras are another horror story in themselves, but I'm not going to get into that right now. Buyer Beware!!

I purchased a refurbished APC Back-UPS RS 1500 from Power Supersite. The price was quite reasonable and the shipping was not too expensive given the weight of the item. My order was shipped promptly and arrived quickly. Overall, I was very satisfied with my purchase at Power Supersite. The only minor complaint I have is they didn't indicate that refurbished items only included the item with no accessories. Given the price, it was to be expected though. I just wish they had indicated that on their website.

I found Power SuperSite through pricewatch with an awesome price on a 700va UPS. However shortly after my order I received an email from a customer support rep detailing the item was on backorder and if I wanted to change my order. The representative continued to give me status with each email. When service is this good I'd go back no matter the price. The price being so low was just a bonus!

I placed an order on May 7th, for 500 CD-R's. Three weeks later after several unanswered phone messages and e-mail's, I cancelled the order. I even had one e-mail that said my order would be out the door on May 23rd. This was my first and now last attempt to order from this company.

On May 30th, I ordered 60 DVD-R discs from cdrecordable. After repeated unsuccessful attempts of burning these discs, I e-mailed the company on June 19th. I received a phone call that very day from Ed Law who couldn't have been nicer. He was very sorry this happened and promised to replace my full order. Eight days later and no discs, I phoned them and spoke to Ed Law who said they were sent out the day before and I should be receiving UPS information that day. HA! I have e-mailed them 8 times since then. Absolutely no response. I am surprised they have as high a rating as they do. Evidently they originally were a reputable company. Those days are over.

I ordered a ATI 9700 oem because it was the cheapest on pricewatch. I was unhappy off the bat because they had shipped in in a little box then put inside a huge box with no packing stuffing or anything. The card arrived DOA or just didn't work in my motherboard since I found out later there was compability issues when there wasn't supposed to be. I got an RMA, sent it back, which I paid for ($8.92). Which is understandable, since it was probably the motherboard and not the card. I sent it back on 1/8/03 and JUST TODAY did I receive the money back in my checking account. And only the price of the card and not the original shipping amount. Needless to say, this company seems shady. Those with good transacations be thankful. I would recommend paying a little more and just getting all your stuff from newegg, which I did with the rest of my computer parts. I ordered about seven different parts, had them shipped in good time, and only paid $20 for shipping. Great deal and great service. As for FTI, I wont be going back.

I ordered a pentium 2.4 boxed cpu with a 533 bus speed. My sales order number was 241571 from the return email I recieved before the order was shipped. When I recieved the order I got a pentium 2.4 with a 400 bus speed which is significently lower performance and not as advertised. The order was evidently edited because they no longer had the 533 bus speed in stock so the substituted the slower 400 one. The order number on the invoice I recieved with the shipment was 202001, which was different from my original order I placed on the internet, that is how I know they made the switch. I had already paid 47.91 dollars shipping which was a jip to say the least. It really should have cost around 10 dollars to ship the items I bought, ( 1 motherboard, 1 CPU, 1 video card and a memory stick), about 5 pounds all together. They now want me to pay shipping back to them again for their mistake. If I return the whole order and cancel it I am out of all of the shipping I paid original and the what ever it cost to ship it back again ( probably about 8 to 9 dollars) more, so I will have lost around 60 dollars for doing this transaction. I will never do business with this company again. Read their policies before you order anything - they are designed to make you keep what ever they choose to send you because you cannot afford to send it back.

Sooooo, I have to begin by saying I "used to be" a loyal Williams Sonoma customer, but as of today I'm done with them. In the past year I've had nothing but problems with products their selling. They will be quick to tell you that of the products they sell they are not responsible for failure and will quickly direct you to the manufactures phone number, after that your on your own. "Be Aware Of This" !!! So far this. year I've had failure of a very expensive coffee maker, a coffee bean grinder, and a mixer. All three products were what I thought to be top of the line products, wow was I wrong. Upon calling the manufacturers customer service line is nothing but a pure joke. You get someone who doesn't know how to speak the English language much less understand it. Look, without going into my disappointing experience which I'm sure you already know let me just tell you this. It's not just Williams Sonoma I'm disappointed with, it's just about everywhere you shop these days. The days of "good customer service" is behind us. These days it's call centers with people that can't even speak our language, it's called "out sourcing"...and it's everywhere. I don't have an answer for correction. The sad bottom line is this; just about everything you buy these days is not returnable, not serviceable, but merely disposable. Buy it and be prepared to dispose of it. So Sad !!!
