Ordered a custom system on the 14th, my credit card was charged on the 15th despite the website claiming not to charge credit cards until the system ships. Repeated attempts to contact this place is fruitless. Still the website shows that the order is still "PENDING" but I'm already paying for it. Still unable to get anyone to talk to me via email or phone. They have the right prices, but EVERYTHING else is wrong about this place. Update: Gary contacted me via email and was very hostile. Basically blamed everything on me. Quotes from the last email to me: "First, we had a problem with the billing/shippig address verification upon charging your credit card. There were several attempts to contact you at that point. However, you had not responded and seemed not to care. Then, one of the components that you ordered was on back-order. At that point again there were both messages left for you and emails sent to you; this has been done for the past two weeks. Again, you have not responded. So based on our log, if you had done your part of the bargain and contacted us in a timely manner, everything would move in a timely fashion. However, because of your mistakes not to contact us, you encountered a problem." I, of course, laughed my a%s off because this is not how it happened (never spoke to him on the phone and this was his third email to me, and this is the only one I didn't respond to). Anyway, he claimed to have cancelled the order, my credit card is still charged the full amount (as of today Dec 8th). I can't stress enough how far you should stay away from this place. (Update: As of today Dec 17th, I still have not received a credit or any product- AVApc=fraud) (Update: AVApc is still taking the fraudulent route and has made no attempt to resolve situation. I have disputed the charge with my credit card company-Dec 30th)

we bought :HOUSE BRAND, PENTIUM IV Barebone System Featuring DDR 1 340.74 340.74 * INTEL, Pentium 4 1.5 GHz, Socket 478, Retail * COOLER MASTER, Socket 478 Cooling Fan * ECS, P4S5A, Socket 478, SIS-645, DDR & SDRAM, Audio, Lan, Retail * MICRON, 512MB PC2100 DDR, 266MHz, Non-ECC * GENERIC, 32BIT AW SRS Sound * SUPERCASE, Mid Tower, Deluxe, 300 Watt PS, 2 Front USB, ATX . we received the system and we were excited to open it and start to put it together. when we installed the 512MB of DDR we noticed it said 256 MB ddr in the bios..so they sent us 256MB instead of 515MB as we paid for.. then the horror part starts.. I returned the wrong memory as soon as we could after getting an RA# from ava's one customer server person.i called 4 times and got their answering machine before I reached him..he said he was surprised to hear we received 256MB and not 512MB and he wanted us to return it for them to make sure we werent lying. I sent the 256MB back to them (with the 512MB sticker on it)and they recieved the memory on 9/3/02..i called them 9/6/02 to make sure they sent my correct memory to us as the system can't run without memory.Andre the customer service person (the only one there ever) had his machine on for 1 week i called.i left messages and messages..finally i called again and he answered the phone===9/12/02. he apoligized since he received our memory on 9/3/02 and it was 10 days now they did nothing..he said he would send the new one out overnight to make up for their error..at that point i gave my home address since i was to be home the next 2 days.i NEVER received the Memory overnight, nor the next day.I called Andre again and also airborne to see where my memory was..they said ava sent it ground and i would have it left at my home door ..i said I can'y believe that, i wont be home all week , i will be at work. I neded to have it re-routed to my job..they said they can't do that unless AVA calls them. i was ready to scream at this point!!!I was in Washington ., Dc that day and rushed home to see if the package came 9/16/02 , since it didn't arrive 9/13,or 9/14.. The package finally arrived 9/16/02 and left at my door which is risky and dumb... luckly i got home by 6pm and saw it there.. I will never buy anything from AVA or its sister company ever again as they are liars and cheats!!!! lrp

Well, I pre-ordered an Xbox 360 from www.Atomicpark.com back on November 16 before the release of the Xbox 360. And I waited and waited. About 12 days (Nov 29) later they sent me an email stating "This has been a very popular product.... Based on your place in line, your order will be shipping out the week of December 7th. Rest assured, everything is still proceeding fine and on schedule." So thats good to know Dec. 7. Then on Dec. 7 I receive another email stating "I wanted to drop you a line to let you know the status of your Xbox 360 order... We are confident that we'll have the XBOX 360s in soon, and since you placed your order so early, you're at the front of the line... I've talked to our buying staff, and they've indicated confidence that the XBOX 360s will ship next week. We have been carefully monitoring our orders to make sure we don't oversell -- in fact, we're no longer accepting pre-orders for delivery before Christmas in an attempt to make sure our current customers get their XBOXs in time." Alright missed Dec. 7 but 1 week sounds good. So over 1 week past and on Dec 21 I receive another email stating "I am very sorry to have to let you know that we no longer believe we’ll be able to get it to you in time for Christmas. Our distributors promised us that we’d have enough units to fulfill everyone’s orders in plenty of time for the holidays and they have let us down. Our distributor’s most recent promised delivery date of Tuesday or Wednesday of this week have passed and they now say we can expect them the middle of next week". Middle of next week has now gone and you get the idea about this company. All these quotes are directly from emails I have saved. I will let them speak for themself. They are now saying I am 1 of the first for the January shipment. LUCKY ME!!!! Anyone want to buy a sealed Madden 2006 game.

I pre-ordered the Collector's Edition of Oblivion from Atomic Park because they had the best price with no shipping ($66). But, of course, it was too good to be true. The item specifically stated that it would ship on 3/21, but when 3/21 rolled around, my order still said it was pre-order. I gave them a call and the first guy told me that he had no way of knowing if it would ship on time. Then, magically after I called, the item status changed from pre-order to backordered. I called back and asked if my order was also backordered and the second person said yes. I canceled my order. On the plus side, cancellation was easy. I guess they probably had to get pretty good at that part.

I ordered 2 AMD 1700+ CPU due to the fact that Vibe tells you what stepping version they are. They also price match any product to any other online store, so you know that you are getting the best deal. I posted in the forums asking about the CPU's and others experience with them, and got losts of responces not only from Vibe, but also other buyers. The CPU's arrived on time, and the box was in great condition. There were no problems at all with this order.

I'm a big time scrap booker and decided that I would buy myself a nicer paper cutter as an early Christmas present. This was my first time calling an online company to order a product and so I was quite unsure what type of person would be answering the phone. The salesmen's name who I spoke with was Evan. He was very helpful and informative as I picked out my paper cutter. My product arrived on time and in perfect condition. If given the opportunity I would definitely recommend this company to a friend!

I was overcharged for shipping (in my opinion), the item was not the correct item, and the customer service rep, Mr Bryan Ostler, ignored my phone call and e-mail to inquire about a return. ABC Office also goes by Office Zone which was where I placed my order. Save time, save hassles, buy from some other reputable dealer.

I ordered two 100 spindles of blank taiyo yuden media from cdr planet. The order confirmation was immediate and they shipped it very quickly. Due to them being in PA and myself in NJ, the Fedex Express saver got the media here a day earlier than expected, which was great because it was a friday instead of monday (and I ordered on wednesday!). All in all this company seems to know what they're doing, and I'd order from them again.

I purchased Merrel hiking shoes, the same size as previously ordered from other retailers, and they did not fit. An exchange would be made with a 2.95 shipping each way plus a 2.95 exchange fee, another 8.85. I decided to return the shoes and they do not refund the shipping 9.95, tax on shipping, .70 and they also charge 6.95 for the return. All told I am out 17.60 for shoes that didn't fit. Go elsewhere unless you are 100% confident in the size. I will go back to Zappos and REI. It may cost me a little more, but it won't cost me anything if I need an exchange or return. Buyer beware with Sierra Trading Post!

I received this radio on 12/5/07. We didn't open it up immediately because it was a Christmas gift for my son. When I got ready to wrap it, I did open it up and when I found that there were none of the original items which should have accompanied the item, I realized that it really wasn't factory packaging as the auction stated. As a result of that, I attempted to check the operation and discovered that the only thing that did work was the display. None of the controls work at all. You cannot set the time, turn on the radio, tune a station in, nothing! The auction stated "Functional Condition: Factory Sealed, New Cosmetic Condition: New Testing Notes: This item is working. This item is in the original box. This item is factory sealed with no apparent damage. Any originally provided parts, manuals, accessories etc that were provided with the unit, will be contained in the original packaging. Factory sealed items in the original box contain all manufacturer supplied accessories." All of which were out and lies. When I contacted them and politely pointed out these problems I was told that "as over seven since the sale had elapsed they would do nothing". I emailed them again asking for an exception based on the circumstances and their blatant misrepresentation of the product and was unceremoniously informed that their policies are rigidly enforced and I was out of luck. I think that it is ludicrous for these people to be allowed to trade on Best Buy's good name. These people are nothing more that crooks posing as honest merchants. The auction also states " Your purchase is 100% guaranteed. If you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason, please contact us using this form BEFORE leaving feedback and we will be more than happy to immediately assist you. At Best Buy Outlet, our customers are the #1 priority, and we make every effort to ensure your shopping experience is a great one." Wonder why that policy isn't rigidly enforced? ? ? I've done business with Best Buy for several years and always been happy. This is turning into a very bad experience which could get very ugly. I'm going to follow up with every legal remedy that I can. This operation could really hurt Best Buy's image and sales............

Purchased Sharp HDTV model LC20SH20U from DealTree for my son for Christmas (via eBay from BestBuy Outlet). Item was DOA making only a high frequency noise, DealTree refused to issue an RMA saying I waited to long (reported item DOA 12/26/2007 since they did not answer the phone on Christmas Day). This company is the worst, I'll have to take them to small claims court to get my money back adn force them to take back their fraudently advertised item. BEWARE of DealTree !!! Well, if you are at this site, you already know they are thieves.

Having dealt well with this company once previously, I ignored the ratings at this site and ordered again. Order date was September 13th. After a many ignored emails, on October 13th they changed the status on my order to "shipped". I starting calling and emailing again on the 20th. It is now the 30th of October, and to date they have ignored 200+ emails. I am contacting CCNow for a refund, and plan on sending a few thousand more emails to them voicing my dismay.

I ordered 30 custom case badges from this company on March 20, 2003. it is now June 16 and the badges just arrived. I had emailed Securisysagency several times wondering the status of my order and not once did they ever reply to me. One a positive not, the badges I ordered are high quality and the artwork does match what I sent in. However, I am afraid I won't do future business with a company that has ZERO customer service support.

We ordered an Easter gift basket for our daughter as She was out of town. On Friday 4/19/19 before Easter we went online to Godiva & purchased the East Cheer Basket for Her & we were pleased underneath it it offered SATURDAY DELIVERY for a lot of $! But it was Easter & we were late so we did it! Easter came & went & our daughter never received Her basket! On Monday morning I went back online to Godiva & started a chat to find day out WHAT On Earth could’ve happened! The online Godiva chat lady WAS SO RUDE! She told me that Godiva has NEVER had Saturday delivery as an option! I was SO disgusted with that person I clicked offline. Today, a week later, I noticed our account was charged almost $90 from Godiva! Well of course I Called the 800 number! 800-9GODIVA & the lady I spoke to found our order & told me “oh it ships out TODAY! Sorry!” I said “Do You SERIOUSLY think that ANYONE would buy a basket CALLED EASTER CHEER BASKET & Choose an expensive Saturday delivery that is to go out A WEEK LATER THAN EASTER?!?! “ She said “Sorryyyyy!” A little too cheerfully for my taste! I told Her we are DISGUSTED & hung up on her! I don’t t EVER want to deal with Godiva again after THIS! My Husband is SO Upset too! We really trusted Godiva & THIS is how we were “thanked” for that! NEVER again! Oh yes- by the way- i am putting our order number Below where it asks for an “invoice number” - what a SHAME!

I paced an order with a representative and was suppose to receive free shipping. I was given the total of my order and a confirmation number. After the call I checked my email for a order confirmation letter only to find out that I was charged 11 more for shipping. I called back and was connected with another department. This girl was horrendous. She could have cared less that I was over charged and told me her supervisor “ Kathy” was going to credit me back the shipping as a courtesy!!! A courtesy???? They over charged me to begin with. Then I asked to speak to the supervisor but was told she was on the phone she would call me back. I got a call back from Kathy who proceeded to tell me that she would credit me back as a courtesy!!! Unbelievable. However it would take several days to get my courtesy refund. Lol. She said she was going to give me a 10% off coupon. WOW I’m so lucky!! So needless to say the whole situation was unacceptable and insulting and I’m currently trying to reach someone higher up. They cannot just charge a customers credit card more than they tell the customer they are going to charge. Godiva should have better ways to handle that type of mistake because I certainly was treated as though charging me more was no big deal.

I ordered for msi u100-279 white and my credit card was charged the following day without a tracking number. After several calls and emails they kept telling me they're looking into it. Yesterday, i spoke to John at ext207 and he said the manager took care of it and the unit was sent that day from an Indiana warehouse. Still no tracking number. Today, exactly a week from when i ordered it, i tried to contact them because i still do not have a tracking number. Perplexed and frustrated and disappointed to false assurances, i called them and left a message to cancel my order. This is my first time to order from this company and never will i order from them again i please avoid this company. This company is bad.

I'm sure logical-plus will provide me with awesome service, I have ordered other parts from logical-plus before and everything went great! Place an oder on December 21st. Got a call on December 22 where they pretend calling to verify shipping and credit card info. When I called them they try selling me an extended warranty and a battery kit, which I declined. After declining the offer a few times the rep. finally told me that he was processing my order and that it would be ship the next day. Since no transactions had shown up on my credit card I called on the 31st. When I finally got somebody, I got put on hold and hang up on. I called back and they told me that my order had been cancelled because the camera had been back order for 2 weeks. So when I called on the 22nd the camera was already back order, but he never said anything about it. Then they said that they send me 3 emails, which I never received. I also check their website before calling on the 31st and the camera is available. So if you don't order any of their extra stuff they cancel your order. At one point when I was talking to the rep. on the 31st I could hear somebody making a background noice on the line, and the rep. was pretending that he couldn't hear me. Stay away from this store!!!

I ordered a camera dispite all the negative reviews and had the exact same thing happen as previously warned. I immediately got an email that I must call them regarding my order. And sure enough, he tried to get me to buy additional items. When I kindly refused he said okay have a great day, very rudely. Then I never heard anything else, until today when I called them to check my order status and he told me "WE cancelled your order that camera is no longer available". He also told me they emailed me which they did not. And he hung up on me. I wasted so much time on this order and should have listened to the reviews first. PLEASE NOTE this company is fraudulant. STAY AWAY!!!!1

Obviously it's not gonna be cheap. It's not Wal-Mart. Menswear/suits are obviously not gonna cost you $20. I've bought a couple of suits here for various occasions between Job Interviews, graduations, weddings, funerals, proms (way back in the day lol), etc. Obviously you can find better deals on these same suits elsewhere but I'm sure there are coupon codes floating around the internet for Men's Wearhouse that can assist you with that. Checkout process was pretty simple. Again, really nothing that isn't completely average and isn't expected of them. They try to keep all sizes available. I'm a relatively small guy, I'm a US size 36. I do notice they, like many other menswear sites/stores, run out of this size pretty rapidly. My advice is if you see something you like on this site, shop around for the same one and see if you can find it cheaper elsewhere. When spending that kind of money on suits, you're gonna wanna save every dollar you can. Pay attention to the shipping costs on other sites too. A suit on Menswear can be $280 with free shipping but you may find it elsewhere for $250 but for $30 shipping. As an online salesman myself, I am aware that a lot of sites/sellers do this as an illusion so you'll buy from them. Make sure you know what size you are (a lot of people do not know what size suit they need and this can be a big deal). If you do not know, there are size charts and (I think, but I'm not positive) Men's Wearhouse has one available to you. Hope this helps

We have only shopped there once. The prices on suits were expensive for the quality of the fabrics. We also felt the sales people were like car salesmen, and would have perfered to be able to just shop, rather than have the sales person pouncing and trying to sell us items we were not interesting in looking at.

I bought something from Delia's online store and was "charged $XX.XX" and waited patiently for my stuff. When I checked my credit card to verify price I was in shock. They charged me WAY more than what I paid for. They claimed it was my problem. Not only is it a week later and still no stuff but I have to deal with my Credit card now to get my money. Please, Delia's, at least change my email confirmation, before you steal my money. You guys are stupid cause I have proof. On a side note...I want a job their cause I guess you can be really lazy there!!!

I ordered a headband for my daughter several days ago and the total charge as per the confirmation email that was sent was zero. The problem is that today I found from checking my Visa account that I had been charged for the headband. Called and talked to a supervisor who said they would not, under any circumstances, honor the email order confirmation that THEY had sent! At that point, there was little left to do but feel completely ripped off. Please do yourself a favor and stay away from this fraudulent business!!!! Their business practices are shameful!!

Very helpful staff at Half Price Books. I asked them if they could hold a DVD TV series for me while I ran to have lunch with my husband rather unexpectedly and they said it was not a problem. The gentleman at the counter said he could hold it for up to a week in case I didn't make it back. How nice! They have a great selection of movies (old and new), TONS of books covering a TON of topics. ...AND they can usually tell you if they have something in stock and find it for you on the shelves. I just cannot say enough about this place. I've been to both locations in Lexington and one of the Louisville locations and have found they are all helpful and have great deals on lots of stuff!

I absolutely love Half Price Books! The website has been updated recently, and it's a lot more helpful now. You can finally see what books are at what store so you don't have to necessarily go there to look on the shelves or call in and wait for them to look. I don't think you can look at the entire inventory of a certain store, but if you are looking for something specific, you can hit a drop-down button to see which stores that item is in. And since the website also includes other sellers, you get kind of an expedia.com system for looking for your stuff. Often times the other sellers have better prices than half price books. And often times, the prices online differ from the prices in the store, which they explained is because the online prices use an algorithm to adjust their prices to other prices around the internet. In any case, I'd say check the website before you head to a store if you're looking for a specific thing. You'll have an idea it will be there, and you'll have an idea of what the prices will be.

Be warned, if you pick the default shipping you're going to wait close to 3 weeks to get anything. I placed an order on the 13th, and got notification of shipment on the 16th. Not bad so far right? Well it turns out they may have printed the shipping label and packaged the merchandise, but USPS didn't even recieve the shipping info into their system until the 24th, more than a week after they claimed it had shipped. I wish I would have checked this site before ordering. I've always received the performance bike catalog and thought they were a decent company, so I didn't bother checking up on them.

I purchased a $200 gift card for my wife. We used about $80 of it. I went to use it again today and it said the number wasn't valid. I called them and got this very rude agent that told me to basically kick rocks. He essentially said Nashbar went belly up (bankrupt) and stole everyone gift card money. He said they (the owners of Nashbar.com) aren't honoring any gift card no matter what amount. To me that means my money was stolen. I said I'll have to put this in a review and he told me go ahead, put it on the pile of other negative reviews. And politely told me to F off. So I repeated it back to him and hung up. If you had a gift card with Nashbar, I suggest you check it right now. Who know what they're going to do or did do with your money. I wouldn't trust them as far as I can throw them. There are hundreds of other sites out there that will honor a gift card you paid for - this is not the place.

I Purchased "2" CDRW's and received email conformation and a tracking number.I received "1" large box containing "1" CDRW. I sent 3 emails but got no response. Called numerous times (at my expense) and only got recorded messages. I was able to leave messages on their machine but no one ever returned my calls. Ordered 6 copies of Mcafee Virus Scan 7.0, got the price from Price Watch. When order arrived only 5 copies were in the envelope. I called the sales department, they told me it would be shipped that day. Received the other 3 days later. So I'm happy with the sales and service, price was great and other than having to wait an extra day for the other cd my experience was good.

Having been my first experience with Pro-Tape, I think I've found my reliable supplier for years to come. Normally, I'm in the habit of going into any retail store and buying a couple of tapes to get the current job done. Following a link from Google, I found myself at the Pro-Tape site and couldn't be happier. For a 10-pack of my usual Sony DVC tapes, I'm saving $15 over what Best Buy charges for a 6-pack. I'm incredibly satisfied with my experience and will be shopping nowhere else for my tape supplies.

I placed my order on Monday,Dec 29, thinking that even though it was between Christmas and New Years it was still a normal business day. I had a shoot coming up in 2 weeks and figured that was plenty of time to get the tape, but just for insurance I wrote a note for them to please notify me if there would be any delay. On tuesday I got a call from George to say that their next UPS pickup would not be until Monday, Jan 6th and asking me when I needed the tapes. After I told him the situation he said he'd upgrade my shipping to get it here. He did and the tapes got here on Wednesday, Jan 8. I don't think you can ask for much better than that. I have told several people about this example of excellent service. And. . . They had the best price around by about 20%. Pro-Tape will definately be my first choice for future tape purchase!

As a previous review stated, I did not hear of Computerbrain.com before last week. I was looking for a portable GPS system, specifically the Mio C710. Nobody had them in stock until yesterday. I had placed an order with Computerbrain after Buy.com cancelled my order with the reason being... no longer available from manufacturer. Then I received an email from Buy.com informing me that inventory has arrived. I called Computerbrain to cancel my order, since it still showed backordered. They informed me that they also received inventory - - and it was cheaper than Buy.com. The Service Rep was very friendly, answered the phone in a few rings - -rare these days, and I would purchase from them in the future.

I placed an order on September 26, 2007 with computerbrain.com for an external hard drive. My receipt showed it to be back ordered. Today, October 29, 2007 I called the company & quickly got a customer service rep. They told me my order had been cancelled. They said the special on the external hard drive was a mistake. I would have liked to see them honor their mistake or at least contact me directly. I was still patiently waiting for an external hard drive that will never arrive.

I ordered some engine splash shields for a Toyota Corolla 1998 LE. The girl was working in a call center, and it did not sound exclusively autoparts. She seemed confused and placed an order for wheel/fender splash shields even though I emphasized the part type and numbers T310110 and T310111. I received the wrong parts 13804 and 13805 and returned them, at their expense, for most of the cost. But they still charged me a re-stocking fee for their mistake. I'm contesting that right now and will notify credit card company of said dispute. BTW, their website is down for maintenance, but that's been weeks now. Fishy. I've put my specific credit card company on notice for charges from this company. They seem really nice on the phone, but don't let that fool you. Watch the emailed invoice and receipt like a hawk when it arrives for correctness. Haven't had problems with other sites ordering discount car parts in the past. Just this one. And after calling twice to ask if they have the correct parts, they can't tell me if they will have stock or not on these. So much for ERP and Supply Chain management.

I gave ACI crap for several days for installing the wrong motherboard in the computer system (described below) I purchased from them. Turns out ACI did not install the wrong motherboard after all. Seems ABIT (motherboard mfg.) does not label their motherboards consistently. In addition, I had a second party RAID controller in my system that caused the OS (and me) not to see the motherboard RAID controller which made me believe that the motherboard had no RAID controller. These two errors combined cause the misunderstanding. Thus, I am the idiot, not ACI. To ACI’s credit, they called me several times and apologized for a mistake they did not make. In addition, ACI shipped me a new motherboard at their expense. In fact, ACI did just about everything reasonable to correct the non-problem even though I was being a bit of a prick. Final review of ACI – trustworthy company that sells a good product at a good price and ACI will go to the extra mile to assure customer satisfaction – purchase from ACI with confidence. ------------------------------ As noted below in the itemized list of the components for the system I ordered from ACI, the motherboard for my system was suppose to be an ABit IC7-G motherboard. On 8/18/2003 I was examining the inside of my system (due to a Abit motherboard "chipset" fan issue) and noted that the motherboard was an ABit IC7 motherboard, not an ABIT IC7-G motherboard. I had not noticed this earlier because I was not using the motherboard RAID controller, which is one of the major differences between the two boards. (see www.abit.com.tw for description of the two motherboards). Interestingly, the motherboard box that was shipped with the system was for an ABIT IC7-G motherboard; the motherboard manual was for an IC7-G motherboard; but the motherboard actually installed in the system was an IC7. The IC7 motherboard cost about $100 less than the IC7-G motherboard. I called ACI and they agreed, with very little hassle, to ship me an IC7-G motherboard at no cost to me. I agreed to swap the motherboards and ship the IC7 back to them. I will update this review when I have more info on this issue to report. -------------------------------------- I ordered the system described below on 7/20/2003. The system was shipped on (8/05/2003) and I received the system on 8/08/2003. ACI assembled the system and such assembly was professionally done. I have tested the computer thoroughly (at least the features that I use) and the results are quite good. One caveat is that the 3.3 Volt DC supply (which is supplied by the 350 watt system power supply) is close to being out of specification (not an ACI issue, a power supply manufacturer issue). Despite the fact that their website is disorganized, partially nonfunctional and difficult to navigate, I placed an order for three items on October 15, 2002. I immediately received a confirmation e-mail, to which I was required to reply for authorization purposes. Eleven days later, delivery had not taken place. I called the company's toll-free telephone number, and was informed that two of the three items are backordered. This is ridiculous, as respective quantities of "5" and "210" were displayed at the time of my order. In fact, while the stock status of the former item is no longer listed, the website still lists a quantity of "197" for the latter! Furthermore, at no point prior to my telephone inquiry was I notified of any delay. (A simple e-mail would have been appreciated.) Also, their website's automated tracking service has returned nothing but error messages. I must acknowledge that the representative to whom I spoke was polite, and she canceled my order without complaint. She did not, however, offer any apology for my inconvenience. I don't suspect a deliberate attempt to mislead customers. Rather, this appears to be a case of sheer incompetence. ******************** UPDATE: Nearly two months later, I received the following e-mail: "The order that you placed with our company on 10/15/02 had been canceled with our supplier on 10/28/02. For some reason it was shipped on 12/13/02. When it shows up please refuse it and it will be sent back." Three days later, I arrived at home to find two UPS-delivered boxes on my front porch. One was clearly marked with the name and address of a retailer with whom I had placed an unrelated order a few days earlier, while the other carried the following information on the label: ------------------------- DISTRIBUTION CENTER USA ------------------------- Upon opening the mysterious package, I found it to contain two of the three items that I had ordered from 123AV. Had I been informed of the carrier and tracking number, I could have left a suitable note on my front door. Because I wasn't, I had absolutely no means of refusing delivery. Under federal law, a recipient of unsolicited merchandise may retain or dispose of such goods; they're under absolutely no obligation to the sender. In other words, it seems that I've been sent a couple of gifts. If 123AV decides to commit an act of fraud by billing my credit card, I'll dispute the charge and report them to the Better Business Bureau. Hopefully, this won't be necessary.

I researched my purchace for over 4 months before I made my decision. I was concerned about "grey market" or "B stock" merchandise after hearing about what others experienced. I think what impressed me the most about The Sound Professionals is on their web site they state they will honor the vendors warranty even if the vender will not! I purchaced a Denon AVR-1802 and knew Denon was very strict to whom they would allow as a "authorized" dealer. This company was $120 less than any other dealer and I had no troubles at all. The company is in California but it took less than a week to ship to Atlanta using UPS Ground ($25.00). I highly recommend this company.

I ordered a Yamaha RX-V661 receiver late on a Sunday night. Scott at Soundpros.com called me first thing Monday morning to confirm my credit card info and verify who I was. The receiver was shipped that day by UPS Ground and I received it Wednesday morning! During the phonecall with Scott, we discussed a number of receivers, why one is better than another, etc. After which he said that if I had any questions about the Yamaha, or needed to return it for any reason, to please give him a call back and he'd be glad to help. Scott (and Soundpros.com) offered some of the best service I have seen in a long time! I also want to emphasize that Scott did NOT embellish on the Yamaha's capabilities, nor did he try to push me into a more expensive receiver! He asked me what I was looking for, I told him, and he replied that my requirements would be filled nicely by the receiver.

I purchased a W2v Asus ensemble laptop from them a year ago with an education discount, (10% iirc) which was nice that they acknowledged both student's and military personnel's needs. Their main representative, John Fierst, was courteous and responsive, I did not have many issues with the ordering aspect but did exchange several inquiry emails about the product itself and he responded promptly. Roughly a month in I did have a problem with my laptop LCD blanking out and acting strange when working in a program, loose keyboard and occasionally starting up with no sound drivers installed requiring a reboot to remedy. The sales rep initially referred me to the service tech for the keyboard issue that they were unable to solve (apparently inherent problem) then told me to RMA the laptop and their service tech, Tom Rodgers, emailed back saying they couldn't figure out the problem at first, and it was to be $90 to keep my personal data, which I declined. They later concluded it was a program I installed which was used to undervolt the CPU to keep the fan off and power usage down and consequently wiped out my HD with a fresh install charging me $90 for the simple task and on top of that the sound driver still refuses to load on occasion to this day. When the laptop came back the first start up was of some fatal error starting up with with strange pixelated screen (that continued several times, though more infrequently so) and running weird when it did so, at that point I didn't want to send it in again so I ignored it and have been using it since. I would really like to install the undervolting program to keep the heat and increasing fan noise down but am afraid they won't perform a second repair if I do so. Now I find out that the Matshita UJ-845S slot load drive has common power calibration issues and won't burn CD-R's. Overall I'm still satisfied to an extent as the hardware isn't really theirs to blame and everything went smoothly purchase wise but I felt their service tech was a bit rude, though understandably so when it comes to someone who deals with customers problems frequently. Still, I feel they could improve on that aspect of the service since I don't think they even tested my laptop thoroughly before sending it back. I'd much rather have them keep it for a bit more than to have these problems down the road. Luckily I still have the 2 year warranty and plan to send it in soon when I won't be relying so heavily on my computer and back up my files. They even sent me coupons/coupon code for referral purchases for 10% off which I gave to a classmate who then purchased a similar laptop. I will most likely be updating this review after I send in my laptop in for the second time but for the time being I'd recommend and would do business with them again.

I ordered a replacement blade for my Cuisinart Chopper over the phone and provided my mailing address along with my email and never received a shipping confirmation. 3 weeks later I contacted Maria who had taken my order and told her I had not received a shipping confirmation. She claimed that she emailed the confirmation and that the item had been shipped. I requested the tracking number and noticed that the item was in transit back to the store. I reached out to Maria who said that I did not give her my apartment number and that she would contact the post office to add my apartment number. Two weeks went by so I called Maria again who told me the package had been returned and that she would reship my item. Another two weeks went by, I emailed the company and did not receive a reply. I called Maria to ask what was going on and she said that a refund has been issued and that there would be an additional fee to ship my item because I provided an incomplete address. I told her I had provided my full address and that it was not my fault if she did not write it correctly, she was extremely rude and condescending, she told me to order from another company and hung up on me. I do not recommend purchasing anything from this second-rate company, I wasted two months with these people. Customer service is useless and lies.

I received my order, a 160GB Seagate hard drive, in a timely fashion. The drive works great and I would shop at Upgrade Solution again since their prices are very good. Their web site is not the prettiest, but what matters most is service, and I have no complaints about that. Actually, the one thing I did notice is that the day after I placed my order, the same hard drive was reduced $3. It's only $3, so no big deal, it was just interesting to note the price drop 24 hours later. Hey, it happens even with other vendors too; on the bright side, at least Upgrade Solution regularly updates their web site with products and prices...unlike some other stores.

I was not satisfied with this retailer's service at all. My hard drive went dead on me so I purchased one from them. The hard drive arrived (the first time) quickly and I was impressed. However, I plugged her in, and it was damaged. That's okay, it might have been damaged during shipping - happens all the time with delicate parts I suppose. So I send it back to their RMA department. They receive it March 12th. They email me on the 13th, telling me that the product is out of stock and they want me to choose something else. I tell them (paraphrasing here): "That's not my fault, now is it? I would like a replacement drive, either same or better quality at no extra charge." They agree and send me a Maxtor ATA-133 (the other was a WD ATA-100 [all other specs were the same - 40GB 7200RPM 2MB cache]). That was agreed on the 14th. I wait a week ... until the 20th comes, still no hard drive. Note that the hard drive is being shipped from California to Washington - definitely not a week's driving distance. I email them again and they tell me "Oh, well we just got our shipment in. We'll send it out tomorrow and give you your tracking number." I never got my tracking number. Here it is, the 27th, and I finally get it. *INCREDIBLY* slow service, and *HORRIBLE* tech support. Their only plus side that I saw was their prices.

I paid for priority shipping There were no shipping confirmation emails, etc. so I'd know what was going oin. I specifically ordered Duracell batteries. I clicked through an email advertising a special on Duracell batteries. When I finally got the batteries they were Panasonic, so I feel there was a bait and switch. I placed an order on 5/24/06 for an order that was not currently in stock. (Order ID: 531726-0524104733) I didn’t have a problem waiting until it came back in stock. So I would periodically log into my account and use the online chat to check on the status of the order. I spoke with Nichole on a few occasions. Each week I was assured the battery would arrive in a shipment next week and ship to me shortly after. So when I didn’t get a shipment notice each week I would login again and ask where it was, only to get the runaround. Earlier this week I asked Nichole where my order was and she quickly ended the chat session. I immediately logged on again and someone else (can’t remember her name) told me that the battery would arrive on 6/29/06. I logged in today because I didn’t get any notice. I asked Nichole where the order was and she said she would check. After sitting idle for 15 minutes or so she ended the session again without a response. I clicked on the chat link to login again, but it said it was unavailable and I could leave a message. I left a message saying to cancel my order if it wasn’t going to ship this week. Logged in later today and my order was cancelled.

This was my second purchase from D-tek and once more, I couldn't be happier with the service I got from Danny and the quality of their products. The shipping time was excellent also- I ordered a poly top for my spir@l waterblock, some clearflex tubing, and some green UV reactive dye on monday morning and had it in my hands by thursday afternoon using fedex ground. Smart move switching to fedex for shipping. I've always had better luck with them than UPS.

bought a dtek pump bran new, one of the two threads is stripped so i can not screw in one of the barbs. with a stripped thread, the pump is useless. i contacted the once the first time to the RMA department, got no reponse. a few months later, i send the same email to all their departments, still no reply. can't even RMA a bran new "broken" pump. very poor seller, and i will change the review once they fix this problem

I ordered an M 240 from Lisa in November last year and throughout those five months waiting for the camera she and Brad were patient with my impatience. I have never bought an item from Berger Brothers, but decided after reading the customer reviews that I would rather deal with a small shop that emphasizes customer service and individual attention over a big box store. I know now that I made the right decision. Brad even shipped the camera overnight UPS; I had asked for a three day shipment. That's going the extra mile. If you're looking for Leica gear give this shop an opportunity to serve you. They won't disappoint.

I made my first purchase from Berger Bros. recently. After contacting multiple stores to get information on a camera with limited availability, it was nice to talk to Lisa M. from Berger Bros. who gave me great advice and service. I'm in a customer service industry so I know what it's like to give and receive good customer service and Lisa was one of the best. Unfortunately, there was a minor problem with the shipment, but having an actual person to contact helped rectify the problem immediately. In the world of amazon and large online retailers, getting to deal with an actual person (not outsourced) who not only seemed to enjoy working for the company but also enjoyed the products they sold was as refreshing. I'm very happy I bought my camera through Berger Bros.

I cancelled this order just a minute ago. It was the forth day after I placed my order for Canon ZR40 when I got a call from them to verify the order. I called back, and what they did is only trying to sell other accessories. When I refused to buy other accessories, they said the camcorder is out of stock. The only have the camcorder kit which is $200+ more that I had ordered. Please beware of this untrusty company.

I originally wrote them to check if they had the Nikon Coolpix 4500 with a US warranty. They wrote back on 08/27/2002 saying that it was a US warranty camera and that it was in stock. So I went ahead and placed my order on 08/28. They called on 09/05 (more than a week later) to confirm my order and tried to sell me accessories, but I declined. The guy then said my shipment was going to go out the next day. Then, on 09/09, they sent me an e-mail stating that the camera was backordered. They wrote, "Thank you for your purchase at Accessory Avenue as of now we are unable to fill your order because of a slight backorder on your item. We will do our best in trying to retrieve your ordered product but can't guarantee an arrival date. As of now the estimated time of arrival is three weeks." I then decided to cancel. From reading their e-mails, it doesn't seem that they are very organized, because they sent me two e-mails when they were first telling me that they had cameras with US warranties, and my cancellation confirmation was written in the middle of my original e-mail (they started answering my e-mail in the middle of my name). Anyway, the funniest thing is that yesterday (09/12), they sent me another e-mail reply about the US warranty and stated again that the item was in stock...

I purchased a Pioneer 106D DVD drive from Americal/CD-DVD Supplies, 7750 Gloria Ave, Van Nuys, CA 91406. The resellers sents the unit without any instructions and it was defective. On contacting them, they could not provide any tech support, and kept insisting there was nothing wrong with the product. I checked with the local specialists who tested and found that the unit was indeed defective. After weeks of trying to contact them (they are closed evenings and weekends) they asked me to return the unit and agreed to send a replacement after testing the unit. The replacement looked used, but I asked a technician to install it for me. All this cost me $90 extra. In the meantime, the price went down by $60, so I requested them to bear some of the cost, but there has been no response so far. Too much hassle dealing with this vendor. Narayan

We ordered $93.92 in merchandise on October 14, 2004 from Americal with 2-day shipping. Since October 14th we have made three telephone calls to Americal and each time they said a manager would call us back. Our third call was made to them today, Oct. 25, 2004, and we are now hopefully awaiting their third promise to call us. Americal withdrew the $93.92 from our bank account October 15, the day after order was placed. So far we haven't received the order or even an explanation on why not? We have ordered from Americal before and did not have any problems. We can understand if they are having problems. We don't understand why they haven't contacted us to explain.

I ordered Anydrive Car MP3 FM Transmitter on 8/20/2005. I could find no other stores carrying it. I soon found out why. The store didn't have it. When I called to inquire, the self-proclaimed owner of the store (if it's true, it's a one-man store) didn't seem to care much about doing business. He suggested that I buy another "better" product with similar functionalities, only to be proven wrong (he was finally convinced of his ignorance) that that product doesn't have at least one of the features I was looking for. When I expressed my discontent with the shopping experience and how the whole thing was handled, he made me feel like I owed him something and urged me to cancel the order and go to a bigger, better store. He said he would email me information on a refurbished version of the product (saying that it shouldn't take more than 30 minutes) but why was I not surprised that I never heard from him again at the time of this writing (4 days later). The ordering mechanism is not at all at par with current standard (for e.g., it will display your credit card number in full on the screen). Also, I just checked the store's web site again (as I am writing this) and it still says the same thing about the product I was told days ago had been discontinued. My guess is that the website is never or rarely maintained. There are just some many things that are so wrong with this store it's a waste of time to list them all. Bottomline: NEVER NEVER NEVER (even try to) order from this store!

Three weeks after ordering the product, STILL have yet to receive it. I can understand it getting lost in the mail, but I'm not about to wait 2 months after being charged for $150 already for them to say "oh yeah, it got lost, wait another month to receive it." That's bull. The worst part is the fact that the damn tracking number is useless. How is it a tracking number if it doesn't work UNTIL the unit has been delivered? What the hell is the point??? Oh yes, now that I received my product, I think I'll go check to see if I received it yet. Right. This is utter crap. It's a tiny device that would have taken a week to get here by regular postal mail. I work as Tech/RMA for a company and I deal with users in Canada. How is it that someone from Montreal can ship me a big friggen POWER SUPPLY in less time than a tiny GBA game sized device? It boggles the mind. I don't care if it ends up being Canada Post's fault. You guys should have made it clear that the tracking number is USELESS. This is an ONLINE transaction. People want to make sure they aren't getting ripped off by a company CLAIMING to have sent a package but never actually doing it. For all I know, this is what is happening to me right now.

just now I recently purchased a Go Pro camera from Unique Photo on Amazon as a birthday present for my husband. It stated it was in "like new" condition. When he opened it for his birthday we found it was not "like new". The box was damaged, the power cord was missing, the previous owner of the camera left his SD card in it with all of his photos and video still loaded, and the Go Pro was broken!! Unique Photo refused to accept a return and they stated that I should pursue fixing the camera via the Go Pro warranty. How is this my responsibility?! Do not buy from Unique Photo, they are frauds selling broken, incomplete cameras to innocent customers. Terrible customer service and products. Terrible business practices.

After a previous order about 2 weeks prior, I was confident in placing another order with Jab-Tech. 6-2-08 Placed order. Sent e-mail asking a question about the product ordered. Got e-mail with answer to my question later that day. Items order were shipped got the tracking number that day. 5-3-08 Order recieved, packaged nicely and everything included. Caffine mints came with the package this time! Weeeee... Bonus, the part I was questioning worked just like John said in the e-mail. Again great service. Feel confident placing an order with these guys. Just an FYI Jab-Tech doesnt solicate good reviews like many other e-tailers, so when you see good reviews be aware they are from very happy customers, and not "bought" reviews.

Ordered the Olympus Tough TG-1 camera from these guys and was very satisfied with the experience: 1) Price at Tri-State Camera was $60 less than what it was being offered for on Amazon. I usually purchase from Amazon because of their Prime 2-day shipping, but even after selecting the 2-day air option from Tri-State, I was saving a lot of money. 2) I needed the camera before going on vacation and because I had ordered it right before MLK weekend, I wasn't sure I was going to receive it in time. I called them up and found out that, sure enough, it was going to get there one day too late. However, the manager I spoke to, Al, told me he would overnight it for no extra cost and personally guaranteed that I would get it in time. I got the camera as promised right before my trip, in perfect condition. You just don't get service like that anymore these days from most online retailers. I highly recommend these guys and look forward to buying more stuff from them. You just can't beat the price and the customer service at Tri-State Camera.

Do not buy from these con artists. Do your homework and read all reviews. This site does not stock anything and lies about item and shipping. A complaint had to be filed with PayPal and am awaiting there response to recover my payment. Looks like I'm going to be a present short for Christmas. Do yourself a favor and pay a little extra to avoid theses scam artists.
